Cale was here right on time and fixed what was wrong. It is an older system and a couple of parts had to be replaced. The Diamond advantage Plan saved me money and I am very pleased with this company and their employees.

Great! They were timely, professional & did a great job. They found one part that needed repair (run capacitor) and did a great job explaining the repair as well. I have also gotten a quote from them (as well as other companies) for a new AC unit on another occasion, and we plan to use them when we take that plunge. The owner is very genuine and honest, and I look forward to giving him our business in the future.

The morning of the scheduled visit, they called me to ask me if we can change the time as they had another job they needed to do. I replied that I took the day off of work to meet them and I could not support a change. They said they would call me back. I never got a call back and nobody showed up.

They responded to me on Angie's List on a Sunday night at like midnight and had someone out in 12 hours. They were very considerate of my financial situations and seemed dedicated to helping me get the max life I could out of these old units. I signed up for their annual maintenance plan and don't plan on calling anyone else for my HVAC needs. I couldn't have asked for better service.
Description of Work: I have old units and my upstairs unit didn't seem to be working well. They diagnosed burned out compressor, need for new capacitor, and clogged line, and installed the new parts and made repairs the very next day. I also purchased their annual maintenance plan.

The job went very smoothly and the team did a great job. It was a large job replacing my entire duct work, suspending the new duct work, adding several new vents and duct run to my master, along with plenums. All of the work completed was in order to improve my air flow and efficiency. From the free duct work inspection, receiving the estimate for work, scheduling the work, and the complete installation was all professionally completed in a reasonable amount of time.

The guy was great and punctual. It turned out to be less of a tune up and more of a diagnostic trip with a repair sales pitch. The quotes seemed super high - $2800 for a 'not guaranteed' coil replacement and $9k for a 4 ton unit. Those prices seem pretty high, and I felt disappointed that no real tune up occurred. As it is, I know that my coils need cleaning. I wish they would have quoted me for doing that service, but I think it's too small to keep them interested.

Forward: VALUE In order to "be sold on anything" you must first understand it's value. If you do not, then normally the go to is usually what the member describes as a sales pitch. Also, there is typically a lot of deception in a sales pitch which the member seems to be fairly astute at. To treat people right in our business or in any business for that matter requires a much different approach than the kind it takes to pen a fake review or sales pitch. That means you have to want to treat people right and care about people (that includes you member). This creates an environment where you can genuinely express an ability to properly gather information. Next, based on real diagnostics form a solution(s) and or make any recommendations/take time to inform and or explain. Then, provide clear options and let the client make a decision without any pressure. So, sales pitch? No, not us. Not who we are. DEAR MEMBER, You have been deceptive. Yes, deceptive and somewhat deceitful but mainly, flat out deceptive and tricky in how you have (tried) to damage our reputation as a quality company. It is clear you do not understand the basic difference between what you refer to as a sales pitch and or would like everyone to view as a sales pitch, compared, to what anyone else can easily define as the information provided to you on a tune up which actually morphed into more of a service call and diagnostic; based on real-time detection and technical data, inclusive of thoughtful amounts of time informing/explaining to you recommendations/potential solutions and clear options; given the intel gathered on-site and at hand. 1. You're very first statement contradicts your entire account of what actually occurred in reality at your 1878 sqft' home on June.21.2017 beginning at 11:05am and ending at 11:54am. 2. Our technician knocked on your door and rang the door bell twice. Our technician also tried to call you but your phone was either turned off or not working so our technician was unable to leave a voicemail. Our technician left his business card at your door. You then met our technician at his truck just before he was leaving to his next call. 3. Our dispatcher and our technician were also communicating about the member not answering at the members door and so was sent an email to the member (while our technician waited on-site to see whether the member would become available for his appointment). *Below are on-site notes taken of a detailed account from OUR TECHNICIAN: "Once I went into the home the client showed me to the garage air handler unit. Member stated that it seemed to be running all the time and just not keeping up. I performed a tuneup indoor and outdoor. The coil and blower wheel were filled with the debris. The refrigerant charge indicated a restriction at the coil. Confirmed my findings with my field manager and he recommended the coil be replaced. I "informed" the member about the coil and that everything else checked out fine besides the refrigerant charge and the internals being dirty as they were. I let the member know that I would send him a proposal for the coil replacement & blower wheel cleaning. 1 system tune up Tech Readings: Unit 1: Filter: dirty - changed Drain pan: none - upflow Drainline: good Blower: dirty Coil: dirty FLA: 2.2ampa Cap: 12.4uf - 12.5uf Condenser 1: Coil: good FLA: 1.2 amps RLA: 14.5 amps cap: 50uf - 50uf Fan cap: 5uf - 5uf Refrigerant: needs coil replacement - plus refrigerant. -CONT (note of discussion with field manager and our technician relaying that intel to member) - while talking with my field manager regarding refrigerant charges and the diagnostics; I was relaying to the member what I had discussed was a restriction in the coil, besides the dirt and debris causing the mechanical system pressures that I was getting. I then proceeded to put the system back together and explain my findings to the member what we recommended as a repair. 4. What the member has done in his review is selectively exclude just about everything that actually/really/truly has everything to do with his comments and which occurred at his service appointment, instead choosing to be deceptive and deceitful, canvassing his commentary with the overall rating of B. The member is right though in that our technician is a great guy and punctual. *More detail notes provided by OUR TECHNICIAN at your residence earlier this week, below: Regardless of finding the internals dirty I continued with the rest of the tune up as shown in my findings. I did go into detail regarding why even though cleaning the coil would be a good idea, that wouldn't fix the problem that we were noticing with the refrigerant charge. I did send him a proposal to replace coil and clean the blower wheel assembly. The client also asked me how much a new unit would be. I let him know multiple times that we would want to come back out and perform a heat load on the home for proper sizing of the equipment but based on the size system he has now, I looked it up and provided him some ballpark pricing. I also let him know that prices can fluctuate depending on overall evaluation or equipment. 5. Member, we understand you won't hire us again (it's in your review) and that's ok, but we also understand it's not about the price, our admonition, or the coil that you say we wouldn't be interested in cleaning because you stating that helped you make your fake story. Nor about a warranty either because we guarantee our work. Notwithstanding, you might know that and might not made the assumptions you did if you took the time to understand value prior to your disparaging statements. Wouldn't you? Yet, your coil problem goes beyond a cleaning. Sometimes that's difficult to hear but it does not excuse you for what you're intentionally doing to mislead everyone else. 6. In short. Our technician did take his time with the members tune up but it is important just as well to note that our technician also took time to diagnose a much bigger problem (found during tune up diagnostics) the member has with his mechanical system and our technician took his time to call his field manager, relay all of the information and diagnostics and then took his time to inform and or explain it all to the member. So, Sales pitch? In FACT, none of it was because we maintain very detailed notes and pictures of each service call and or tune up. 7. Member we know we can make a mistake. All of us do from time to time and it's human, although based on facts and the diagnostics when we were on-site we provided you the truth, and that is who we are. Our Mission: Diamond Quality Services is a group of dedicated professionals with a winning team spirit, and firm understanding of our business. We have a passion to serve those in need of our expertise and problem solving capabilities while diligently providing service beyond expectation. Diamond Quality Services Service Beyond Expectation

UPDATED REVIEW: Well, I first thought this company had given me a solid information. They told me I needed 4 lbs of Freon and that I needed to replace my AC unit. I chose not to get the Freon because I didn't want to pay that kind of money, if I needed to replace the unit. But after having a couple of other AC vendors come out to check my unit, they told me that I was only down 1 pound of Freon (which I could have gotten from this offer, if they were truthful) and that I just needed to tighten some valves, to stop the leakage. One guy that I had come out actually showed me the gauges hooked to the unit, so I could actually see the amounts and temperature of the unit, so I knew he was being truthful. I am disappointed with the service of this vendor. I will not hire again and will most likely rely on reviews outside of Angie's List to determine the reputation of a vendor. I basically paid $99 for something and because I was led to believe the Freon would be a very temporary fix and would have to pay several hundred dollars to get more of it, I did not get it, when this issue could have been easily resolved by the 1 pound of Freon that came with the offer.
Description of Work: I purchased an offer to have the company come out and do a check on my AC Unit and also add 1 pound of Freon.

Diamond Quality Services is diligent toward educating and informing our clients, not on selling them. Not only that- The Technicians present at the job site were an owner and a trainee. Based on over a thousand reviews with Angie's List in the DFW market area and Super Service Awards for 8 consecutive years, it is evident this member not only chooses to report inaccuracies but additionally, traveled great lengths to change an original A review to a C, and thereby failing themselves under their own self-induced pressure and or, the potential creative scrutiny of another company. We are not going to jeopardize our quality reputation by misinforming any client, and add to that (training a Technician to be dishonest) you know is a complete fabrication based on our track record. You can only predict the future by looking at the past. Notes regarding our on-site visit from our technician co-owner Scott below: Scott sent the trainee in to greet the member and start the tune up which was purchased on Angies List. Scott entered shortly after and introduced himself to the member and explained the Technician was in training. Upon initial inspection it was noted the members carpet was wet around her upflow evaporator and furnace. This is indicative of a frozen evaporator coil or plugged condensate drain. The condensate drain was not plugged. After removing the filter and verifying normal airflow Scott and the Technician in training went outside to the condenser to check operation and refrigerant charge. (As a technical note, 1lb low on refrigerant will not cause a coil to freeze) Upon review we found the low side pressure to be 31.9 psi with a super heat of 71.9 degrees. •The above would serve to indicate the members system is approximately 70% low on refrigerant. •Additional technical information as it applies to actual on-site real time system diagnostics at this particular service call for this member: •Under continuous operation this will cause the coil to freeze. •A low charge will drop the refrigerant temperature enough to drop parts of the coil below 32 degrees which causes the coil to freeze in portions. •As each part freezes it will continue to expand until the entire coil is blocked and can even plug up the drain ports. We maintain pictures of the system pressures to review with the homeowner. This didn't seem to matter to the member. In this particular case the Bluetooth connection was being made from the iManifold refrigerant gauges, to the smart phone inside the home, so the member could see live what was happening with the system. The member received a second opinion which is a regular occurrence in any industry. That is ok and we understand that. Trying to change real-time diagnostics afterward to fit a members continual creative narrative (the narrative this member would like to sell to everyone else) based upon lies or misinformation, is unacceptable. What this (change in member review) personifies/represents and is based on, is the member ignored the facts we provided the member, never called us to communicate nor discuss them, but instead chose a line of cheap deception as if we never provided her with those facts in the first place. .. And then, this member going on a step further to post a disparaging follow up review based upon second and third opinions (why the third?), which, clearly were in dissent of (real-time information we provided the member on-site the day of her visit). Our consistency in quality reviews and awards reveal our true reputation and character. Member thank you for giving us the opportunity to provide detailed system information we gather on every service call. Including your own.

I found Diamond Quality Services through Angie's List. They were here February 14th of 2017. The one duct was in a real hard place where I had a hard time changing filters, I had to get a high step ladder, and they moved it to another area for return air, for it to be more easy for me to change filters every three months. Total cost was $975. The workers were friendly and professional. There was a couple of things that I had to mention to them, you know as far as things they overlooked. One of them was that they forgot to put the insulation back they had moved. They had to come back for something else and I told them about it and they fixed that. They should have caught that. They left the area clean when they were done with the work.

I called Diamond Quality to report the problem. the dispatcher forwarded my call the Cale, the tech. Cale told me he could be there around 3pm. DQ called back saying he was running early and would it be ok for him to come by at 2. Cale then called to say he would be there in 25 minutes. He quickly diagnosed the problem as a bad start capacitor. He also said it was about a pound low on freon. He worked quickly to repair the problem, was timely, and professional. Cale answered all my questions. I would use them again

OK, I guess. I'm not sure that the units in the attic were thoroughly checked as not a lot of time was spent up in the attic. The outside units were checked. He indicated that one of the outside units had a capacitor that was out of spec range and keeping the unit from performing optimally. The charge to replace it was $200. I had him replace it, though it seemed rather expensive for a capacitor. I did not notice any improvement in the cooling after the repair. As I was skeptical about the capacitor in the first place, I felt more so after I experienced no improvement in performance from the unit.

DearMember- You guess?? Well we at the very least can understand why the entire review simply doesn't cut the mustard! Reading it might bring to mind for some the very funny movie from 1986, Ferris Bueller's Day Off. And for others, lends an extravagantly lacking depiction of content and detail, staging an appearance cloaked with innuendo. This members review, as loose as it is, was designed not for accuracy, but complete and utter laughter. The notes from our technician and the events which actually took [Member Information Removed] at this visit are copied from our files below: Appointment 9/9/16 @8am: Tech notes start- When I arrived at the clients home the client stated that the systems cool the home fine and they wanted both systems looked out per the request of the new homeowners. I then began in the attic on unit one that controlled the office, guest bedrooms and bathrooms. The internals of the system checked out, the blower motor amp draw was 6.8-amps and the capacitor was 5uf out of 5uf. The internals of the system were clean and the drain was clear. I then moved onto the system that controls the rest of the home. The system was found to be in good condition and the internals were clean. The blower motor amps were 8-amps and the capacitor was 14uf out of 15uf. I then put the systems back together and headed outside to the condenser units. Both units had clean coils and I checked the smaller unit first. I found the capacitor to be below manufacturers specifications and per the request of the client I replaced the capacitor. The condenser fan amps were .8 and the compressor RLA was 6.4. I added 1/2lb of refrigerant to the system to bring the charge back up to manufacturers specifications. I then moved onto the larger condenser, The Capacitor was reading 60uf/7.5uf out of 60uf/7.5uf. The condenser fan motor amps were 1.5 and the compressor RLA was 15. I then hooked up my gauges and found the systems refrigerant charge was spot on per manufactures specifications. I put both units back together and I went inside to check the temperature split and it ended up being 16 all throughout the home. I received payment for the part by credit card and the tune ups were purchased through angies list. I then left. > 9/9/2016 Fri 12:19 PM> In summary: Our technicians notes are clear and, they are detailed. *Furthermore, we also maintain detailed pictures of real time diagnostics, digital gauge readings, as well as the temperature differentials from the visit. Our price for this part also included labor and our prices are without question both reasonable and fair. If not, we wouldn't be in business after all these years while at the same time as well, maintain the highest level rating with Angie's list and, with the support of all of the members that we serve. Member, we truly hope you sold your home and we know you were in the best position possible to do so after our visit, but either way, we understand we will not return and we totally understand why that is based on your recipe of storyline/agenda. He did the good job at first sight. Later, the repaired portion shows different color than the rest of the tub. Contacted the vendor and complained but he said it is the light caused the different look. I do not agree.....
Description of Work: cover the few crack on the casting iron tub.

The tuneup showed that the system was very low on refrigerant. After adding 6 lbs the technician did not want to add more if there was a bad enough leak, just to have it leak back out. He suggested that I have a leak test done. So one was scheduled. The leak test did not indicate a leak at all and he felt that someone may have removed the refrigerant while the house was vacant. Both technicians showed concern for the customer and to keep costs low by not doing work that would not produce a better outcome. I give them an A+ for that. While the cost of this service might seem high the majority of the cost is for the refrigerant that was added at over $100/lb.
Description of Work: Home purchase inspection indicated that the AC did not have a sufficient temperature difference between the air return and air supplies. So I ordered a AC tune up.

Same day service. Cale arrived to the appointment early. (He called ahead to ensure I would be home). He was friendly and knowledgeable. He completed services in a timely manner. He happily answered questions. Price was very reasonable. Will call again. Two thumbs up.
Description of Work: A diagnostic service for my hvac unit was completed. Poor performance for one a/c unit was remedied by clearing a clogged line, as well as adding refrigerant.
