A call to their office had one of their Arborists, Hannah, at our house the next business day, Monday. She arrived punctually, we discussed the work to be done and she addressed all concerns that we had. That evening we received by email a written proposal. On Tuesday we agreed to the work proposal by exchanging emails and the work was scheduled for the next day, Wednesday (today). The crew of 4 and the Arborist arrived on time and the work was completed in an hour and a half. The crew addressed any questions we had while the work was being done and did an excellent job of cleaning up after. We are very pleased. Dallas Tree Surgeons worked on this same large live oak 2 years ago after our last large ice storm and did a great job then. We left the tree alone for 2 years to allow it to recover from that damage and resultant pruning, It has done well. Having a professional, trained tree expert evaluate what the tree needs is a great comfort to us. We will continue to use Dallas Tree Surgeons. Highly recommended!

I have a red oak in my front yard that was starting to have some low branches. I also have a pecan tree in the back yard that had a couple of broken branches from the ice storm two years ago. Contacted them on Monday and made an appointment to have an arborist come out on Friday. Jade recommended doing a trim on the oak and just cutting out the two broken branches on the pecan. She said no need to do anything to my other pecan trees as they are self pruning. The crew came out the next Tuesday and did the work. I am no expert, but it looks like the work done was good. They clean up and chip and haul off all the limbs that they cut out. After they left you could not tell that they had been there.

We bought a house in September and needed some trees trimmed and a few removed. Dallas Tree Surgeons came out to give us a quote for trimming and removal in both front and back yards. The arborist was very professional, made notations of the work to be done as we walked around the yard, and emailed the proposal to me shortly afterwards. The day they came to do the work, my wife was at home and I asked her to send me a few photos after the job was finished. I was surprised to see that one of our medium-sized trees in the backyard had been removed when it was only supposed to be trimmed. I immediately reviewed the proposal, which to my surprise, indicated that tree was indeed to be removed, despite conversation that it was only to be trimmed. I contacted DTS right away and explained the situation to our arborist. He recalled our conversation that the tree was only supposed to be trimmed, but that he documented removal of the tree in error. Shame on me for not catching that on the proposal, but the price was in line with trimming the tree so I didn't notice it. Our arborist immediately offered to replace the tree at no extra charge, which was a satisfactory resolution to me and my wife. They recommended waiting until trees were dormant and just installed a nice size replacement last month. Overall, I thought Dallas Tree Surgeons did a good job, made an honest mistake, but resolved the situation fairly and to our satisfaction. I would feel comfortable hiring them again but would definitely pay much closer attention to the trimming and removal notations on the proposal to make sure they were correct.

We had to cut down several trees including 2 large oak trees that was right in between our house and our neighbor's house. When I called to make an appointment for an estimate, the lady who answered my call was very friendly and was able to schedule me for an estimate fairly quickly. Emily (from DTS) unfortunately stopped by to give me an estimate when I wasn't home but called me after she checked out the trees to talk about the work to be done. When I expressed my regret for not being able to talk to her in person to clarify which trees to be cut down, emily told me she could stop by again since she is in our area often. Emily was very friendly, courteous and professional. Emily actually talked me out of unnecessary and costly additional work. When I expressed to her my concerns about our roof and our neighbor's, since the trees were situated so close to both of our houses in a narrow pathway, Emily assured me that their workers are experienced and professional and who knows what they are doing. I emailed and spoke to Emily two more time before the actual tree service and every time, she listened to all my concerns or questions and took the time to explain and answer my questions. The work was scheduled for the following week and the guys arrived on time but on the end of the scheduled time. The guy assured me that although they arrived rather late, there are more guys to come so that they could get their job done as scheduled. Oh wow, they worked hard. I was very concerned about possible damage to the roof but they worked carefully yet efficiently. Soon, all the trees were cut down and they were clearing out the debris. I am extremely happy with their service and plan to call them again to trim our trees.

Called on a Friday, Came out and looked at it on next Monday, Scheduled work for next Friday. When the representative came on Monday he examined tree and said bolting the Tree and putting a cable across the split area will bring the tree back together within the next year. I am trusting they are right, and if so the money was well spent. Very professional and was able to come before the next bad wind storm. I don't think the price was high just don't know what is reasonable

It went great. They showed up timely, quoted me, and performed the work all in a couple of days. Very pleased with the service and them taking their time to explain to me what it was and the treatment they were going to do.

After my tree trimmer person retired after using him 20+ years, I was concerned about finding someone to replace him. I was absolutely thrilled with the service from Dallas Tree Surgeons, from the first meeting with their Arborist (Andy) to their trimming crew (Eduardo/Pedro). They spent several hours working on the trees and did a great job cleaning up to include the yard and roof of the house. It was a pleasure to deal with both Andy on what type of service they provide and how their crews work ... and to talk to Pedro and the crew as they worked on the trees, making sure I was pleased with their work. My next door neighbor also used them today based on my recommendation and he was pleased as well. It's nice finding a professional company that explains what they do and then executes to plan. I will definitely use them again as my new tree service.

Very professional and excellent work all around. Having moved here from the east coast where we had many trees and regular ice storms, we learned the importance of having a good, professional, reliable tree service since our Dallas area home also has many trees. Selected Dallas Tree Surgeons based upon Angie's rating and we are completely satisfied with their work from start to finish. They sent an arborist out in the fall to look at a diseased tree we had and discuss other possible work. This summer we recontacted DTS about removing the now-dead tree and perform other work and the arborist came back out to the house and discussed all the work we were considering and sent us an estimate. The estimate was very reasonable based upon our experience having comparable work done in the past. Tree crew showed up on time, worked quickly, did all the work in a professional fashion and cleaned up all debris. Stump grinder showed up the next day on time and also did professional work--including placing a shield to protect windows and walls when grinding a stump in a flower bed next to the house. We recommend DTS without reservation and definitely will use them for our future needs.

I have to say they did a GREAT job. Contacted them off the site with a question and the following week they were here to remove the stumps. We can no longer see they were there!! We are doing a large remodel of our back yard so it is very expensive. Dallas Tree Surgeons had the best price and best customer service. Arborist provided estimate 2 weeks in advance of tree trim appointment. Arborist advised of risks to trimming oak tree due to neighbor tree (across street) with oak wilt. He explained that oak wilt is carried from tree to tree by beetles and that trimming oak trees in summer creates high risk of oak wilt infection if diseased trees are identified nearby (which is the case here). He advised that we could trim non-oak trees (Pecans) now and then trim oak trees after thanks giving. He advised that beetles die off after Thanksgiving in Dallas. My property is approximately 1 acre. 12 man crew arrived on time. They trimmed all trees planned for this trim. They hauled all the debris to street and their chipper. On completion, I walked the property with the foreman. We're thrilled with the results. I plan to follow-up with Dallas Tree Surgeons to schedule the oak tree trimming in December.

The company is normally great to work with, and I appreciate their understanding when things go wrong. Unfortunately, this one time, they had issues getting my request into their computer system. While this could have been incredibly frustrating, it turned out to be very positive. They listened to my concerns, bent over backwards to make sure that things got dealt with promptly and did an AMAZING job on the work that they did. I appreciated that I could always get a human on the phone and that they made sure that the work got done well. I had needed the trees and shrubs taken out prior to replacing windows and they had forgotten to put the order in the computer to get scheduled. When they realized this mistake, they immediately found a way to get the trees dealt with the very same day so that things were cleared out for the window replacement. I was pleased with the customer service and the quality of the work and would trust that, as they figure out their computer systems, they will continue to be an excellent company.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY-- THEY HAVE SALESPEOPLE WHO WILL TELL YOU ANYTHING, AND THEY THEN SEND CREWS WHO HAVE NO IDEA WHAT TO DO, LACK PROPER TOOLS, AND CANNOT SPEAK ENGLISH. HERE ARE DETAILS: When I met with Kelly, I emphasized that I wanted a crew with a foreman who spoke and understood English, which he assured me was the case. I explained how several big limbs were hitting my chimney cap and roof, so I was in a hurry to get work done. He also assured me that they had their own employees and equipment, as opposed to simply sub-contracting the work to a "guy with a pickup." I also went over how they install cables and was assured they knew how to do it and had the proper tools, including a winch called a "come-along." When I called to schedule the work, Kelly could not give me a date. He just said they would put me on the schedule and call me beforehand. I explained that I needed at least a day notice so I could plan my work schedule. I have my own business and am quite busy. I asked if they could set me as the first appointment so we would have a time certain and they said they could not. It took multiple phone calls to Kelly and their office to finally confirm they would be there late morning July 9 (a week's wait) , but by noon. I planned accordingly. So of course, their crew was ringing my doorbell at 8am on the 9th, which caused me to have to make multiple calls moving my morning appointments, despite what I had been told. I then saw that this was 4 guys in an old pickup truck. They had a flat open trailer that was already stacked totally full of limbs. The 'foreman" barely, and I mean BARELY, spoke English. When I tried to go over job, he clearly did not understand most of what I was saying, but it took about 10 minutes of his trying to hide this before he finally admitted it. His work order described one of my red oaks as a live oak. I asked the foreman if he had the tools to install a cable, like the come-along, which he did not. In fact, he did not have any idea what I was talking about. I tried calling their shop, but it just went to voice mail. I called Kelly on his cell. I explained what was going on, and his response was screaming that he "had just told me what I wanted to hear" and hung up on me. Next a lady showed up (my house is very close to their shop) who was either a manager or one of the owners. I explained how I had waited for almost two weeks to get this done and the limbs were keeping me up at night, but they refused to trim just the banging limbs. Her overall approach was that I was already unhappy and it's "hard to overcome that" so they probably should not do the work. I have also learned that Kelly, who I originally met with, is not a certified arborist -- and, get this -- he claims that since he sells tree services, that makes him an "arborist." IN SUMMARY -- I WASTED A BUNCH OF TIME, INCURRED DAMAGE TO HOUSE, FOUND THIS COMPANY TO BE TOTALLY DISHONEST AND THEN RUDE WHEN I ASKED FOR WHAT WAS PROMISED. I ALSO LOST INCOME DUE TO MOVING MY SCHEDULE FOR 7-9, AND NOW HAVE TO START ALL OVER WITH ANOTHER COMPANY. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY IF YOU EXPECT A PROFESSIONAL SERVICE AND WANT TO BE TREATED WITH SIMPLE COURTESY. AVOID THIS GROUP LIKE THE PLAGUE OR YOU WILL BE VERY DISAPPOINTED.

They are amazing, they are one of the best in planting every seed forestry services were good, they have a real combination of force, they also have a good team that performs the work. They really worked. They did it in forty minutes.

We had a great experience with Dallas Tree Surgeons. They made great recommendations about necessary trimming and tee care and provided the service we needed quickly, affordably, professionally, and with skill. Highly recommend.

Other than not knowing the day they would be performing the service, everything was great. Very professional and hard working crew. Other than the stump grinding, everything was done in one day. I was told that the trees would be removed by a specific date, the crew showed up a couple days earlier. Other than communications (timeliness), everything was great. Highly recommend them.

I called a few tree services based on Angie's List reviews about having our tree removed as it had become a hazard, and we were replacing it with a tree we bought elsewhere. I went with Dallas Tree Surgeons based on the confidence the reviews gave me, and generally things went fine. The price was fair, the scheduling was better than some of the other companies we called, the customer service was nice and the job done mostly well. The only disappointment we had is we specifically stated we would be installing a new tree in the exact same spot as the tree that was removed/stump ground, but once the time came for the tree to be installed, we were informed by the nursery that our stump grind was not nearly deep enough, and needed to be at least 24" deep, not the 4-6" that was performed by Dallas Tree Surgeons. Relocating the new tree was ultimately the route we took, but it would have been good had Dallas Tree Surgeons advised that their stump grinding is actually not deep enough for a replacement tree in the same spot, as we told them we wanted. Minor inconvenience of an otherwise fine service.

Dallas Tree Surgeons came out immediately for a quick look and quote. The girl was extremely knowledgable and put me right at ease. She gave us a good quote and told me to expect someone to come out within a week and a half. I let her know that we had a napping baby and she made detailed notes so that the noise wouldn't be disruptive. The guys came out and the tree was gone in minutes! They gave us good advice on how to keep it from growing again. They also pulled a small sprout that we never saw. The invoice was emailed to me the next business day and I easily paid it online. What a painless process!!

After getting estimates from several companies on trimming a tree in our neighbor's backyard that was encroaching on our roof, we decided to go with Dallas Tree Services based on their lowest quote. They did a good job of trimming the tree, but left a few branches overhanging the roof. I called back to let them know that I wasn't satisfied and they let me know that they would come back to fix the problems without further charge! I was extremely satisfied with their final work and we also got them to come down and grind a tree stump for us. All of my interactions were with Rebecca and she was terrific! She was very courteous and professional and very sweet! She came down to our property to give us an estimate and she was even better to interact with in person. The only reason I am giving them a B is because it took them a week to come back to finish the job and because it wasn't done exactly right the first time. Regardless, I am definitely going to use them again if I need them!

They were very professional, prompt and reliable. Come out for an estimate and had it emailed to me very shortly afterwards. Once I decided to proceed the scheduling was quick and easy. The crew was very quick with minimal disruption while removing the tree. The stump grinder was so quick and quiet I didn't even know he'd been here. I would definitely use this provider again if or when needed.

This was the highest rated tree service on Angie's List for my geographic area and they lived up to the rating. One of the arborists (Andy) went over every detail of what would be done to the tree and walked the yard with me to survey each tree and its surroundings. Three days later the team of 4 tree trimmers arrived and did a thorough and professional job trimming each tree and elevating the canopy of each tree, ensuring that the tree shape remained intact and beautiful. That same afternoon, a different gentleman came to treat the two large front trees for insects. I was very pleased that the meticulous trimming of small branches allowed for a great deal of more light to enter the yard. They removed all of the branches and clippings and hauled them away on a large trailer. Overall, I was very pleased with the service, the pricing, and the attention to detail this company and its crews did to my trees. I will definitely use this service provider again and would highly recommend them.

Excellent service. We called on a Monday, Rebecca called out Tuesday to give us a quote and she was very knowledgeable about our trees and gave great recommendations on what needed to be done. They provided a written quote via within an hour of reviewing the yard, then scheduled the work to occur that same week. They let me know the night before they were due to come and did a fantastic job. They hauled away everything and the trees look great. Highly recommend.

They didn't do a call ahead but I was home when they got here. Didn't realize how much dead that was in 2 of the trees, now the front yard gets more light and I now get some sun plants to plant in the front. The front looks so much better from the street. The crew that came was great, got the yard cleaned up of all trimmings. If we have more work on these trees I will return.

These folks are great! Came when they said they would, and did what they said they would. Did a beautiful job on my big Crepe Myrtle and smaller Sweet Gum Tree. Will definitely use them again
