Texas Tree Surgeons

On Sunday September 4, 2022, a storm caused a large branch to fall from a cedar elm tree in my backyard and it landed partially on my house. My wife called for a tree service (Texas Tree Surgeons) as I was out of town to remove the branch and an estimator was sent to our house. The estimate of work was $600 being given. My wife gave her authority for the work to be done believing that this was a major job based on the estimator’s description of what would be done. The crew from Texas Tree Surgeons arrived on September 6th at 2:55 PM and were done with their work and left at 3:20 PM. We have Ring video to confirm the times. Upon receiving the invoice from Texas Tree Surgeons, I was shocked that it was for the full $600 as the scope of work completed was very minor and took around 20 minutes. I called Russell at Texas Tree Surgeons regarding my concern on September 9, 2002 and sent him pictures and verification of the time his crew spent. I asked that he considered these factors and if that was fair. He replied to me the next day that he stood by the evaluation of $600 and would not consider any adjustment. I believe that this is a case of taking advantage of us the consumer by overstating the scope work that would be done and increasing the cost of the job because of the high demand for tree cutting services due to the storm.

We trust them and they are really easy to work with.

We used them for our subdivision who wanted their trees to be trimmed. I would highly recommend them.

Emily, the arborist, was extremely helpful in diagnosing our Chinese Pistache problem and in recommending a seasonal care program. Emily was very professional, and we enjoyed speaking with her. We also had her company trim this tree this fall. The trimming was done expertly and quickly by a very professional and friendly crew.

Initial estimate appointment was positive and quick. Emily did a good job reviewing our needs and provided a quick estimate which was competitive. Scheduled an appointment for about 2 weeks about, but they managed to come a few days early when they finished another job. Crew did a great job trimming and thinning the live oaks, taking care of the yaupon hollies and the crape myrtle on property line. Good clean-up and took away all the brush. Excellent work!

The arborist, Emily, came out the day after we called them. She arrived right on time. She quickly analyzed what our tree needed and quoted a price which we thought was fair. She was polite, professional and efficient. She answered all our questions. We scheduled the date and asked if they could schedule our service for after 10:00 am. They contacted us the day before to confirm our appointment. Daniel and his helper showed up at 10:30 am and got to work immediately. They completed the job in about 45 minutes and left our yard clean of all trimmings. I will use Texas Tree Surgeons again and will refer my friends to them!

I requested quotes from three companies on Angies list. Emily with Tree Surgeons got back to me in about an hour’s time from my submission. They came out the next business day to give an estimate. They are providing great customer support.

Bought a new house with a lot of trees on the property. A couple didn't look very healthy so I wanted them looked at and treated. The arborist came out and did an evaluation on all the trees and made sure to call afterwards to go over her findings. Out of 14 trees, I had 3 that needed help so we scheduled a treatment plan. The trees also needed trimming and the arborist recommended waiting till fall for the best results for the health of the trees. Very knowledgeable, very nice. I'm glad I found them and will continue using their services.

Shortly after my initial contact with Dallas Tree Surgeons, the company sent one of its certified arborists to evaluate my trees and advise me regarding any trimming that should be done. He was very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions. Later that day he emailed me a detailed proposal specifying the work to be done on each tree. Upon my acceptance, the job was scheduled for a specific day in about three weeks. On the scheduled day a crew of six men including a foreman arrived at my house at 8:00 a.m. and worked nonstop for four hours. The foreman directed the work pursuant to the detailed work plan provided by the arborist. The work was well organized, and the workers were skilled and appeared to know their assignments well. I went out of the house a couple of times and talked with the foreman about the work in progress, and he explained everything fully. The crew cleaned up all fallen tree limbs and branches and related debris. I was very satisfied with the work--and delighted with the results. (I graded the company down slightly on professionalism due to an administrative issue regarding my bill payment which could have been easily and quickly resolved but continued for ten days until the owner became involved and promptly took care of it.)

Great. 5 men showed up and went right to work taking care of the trees. When they were done all debris was cleaned up. Very professional.

Hannah visited our home, inspected the mushroom growth and trees to be trimmed a day after we requested a quote. She called with an update and verbal quote, followed up with a written proposal same day. Crew arrived promptly as scheduled, six guys made quick work of trimming our Bradford Pears. We will definitely use them again. Thank you!

Outstanding from start to finish. An arborist came to the souse and looked at our trees/shrubs and made recommendations. 3 trees and 1 bush had to be removed (diseased with disease spreading). On day 1 plants removed. On day 2 stumps removed and ground up. All work done promptly, quickly and neatly. Property left in perfect shape.

Overall experience was excellent. Arborist (Kelly) was very knowledgeable and helpful. Work was performed on time and with high quality, including clean up. Would highly recommend.

This company is highly professional. I received an estimate the next day. They performed the service within 5 days. They were quick, efficient and very neat. They just did a terrific job and provided a lot of value for the money. They charge Ala carte so you can determine how much service you desire. For example, you could save money and dispose of your own stump grindings. They were a nice company to deal with. I would highly recommend them.

Emily was very prompt and quoted a reasonable price, which was less than I inspected. She gave a thorough explanation of the condition of the tree and gave advice on long term health. She explained exactly how the tree would look when finished. The crew arrived the following day and did a fantastic job.

They were punctual and knew what I had asked them to do. I had expressed concern about another (previously used) tree service that had stood on my palm tree trunks while trimming them last time, disfiguring the look of the palms. They were careful not to do that. They trimmed both trees and removed the discarded palm branches. Everything was left neat and clean. I had to do a bit of cleaning up of the trunks after they left. And I should have asked them to be a bit more aggressive with the trimming - the palm fronds go brown very quickly. But I will make sure to call that to their attention next time.
