Description of Work: Dallas Tree Surgeons came to my home to initially quote service and later to perform the service quoted. I did not have to be at home with the evaluator came out, but she spoke to me on the phone while at my property and provided a lot of useful information about my trees and shrubs that I did not have (for example, I knew I had Elm trees, but I did not know they were called Lacebark Elms). She was very timely in the appraisal as well - most companies were not as responsive. I had 3 large trees quoted for pruning that are approximately 30'-40' tall each, and were rather bushy and overgrown. The evaluator only charged extra for one of the three trees, and it was $25 more. Not only was the per tree price lower than other quotes, but the cost difference was lower as well (and most planned to charge extra for two of the trees). I also had a Crepe Myrtle and 3 Red-Tipped Photinia shrubs that were quite overgrown pruned by the service for $25 each.

Description of Work: Treat 2 trees for for fireblight damage, inject one tree for insect damage and fertilize both trees.

Description of Work: Cut down a dead cedar in a crowded backyard area. The tree was 40-50 foot tall and required someone to climb up the tree to cut off the top first.

Description of Work: I have 2 huge American Elm trees in my backyard(about 50-60 feet tall). I haven't had them trimmed for over 5 years. They are right above the electric lines and a couple of branches actually touch the line when the wind blows.I was worried about damage in a storm but didn't want the trees to be butchered. I also worried that I would have to mortgage my house to pay to have them trimmed!! I got 2 estimates, one of which was from Dallas Tree Surgeons. They promptly came out to give me an estimate despite pouring rain. I was pleasantly surprised by the estimate and double-checked the Better Business Bureau to make sure they were a reputable company. Their estimate was less than half that of another large Tree Service company and they seemed very knowledgeable, with a certified arborist assessing the trees and providing the estimate. One of the trees has a double trunk and I was particularly worried about that splitting in a storm. She suggested cabling the 2 sections of the tree and again the estimate was quite reasonable.They trimmed and cabled the trees today. I watched the entire operation and I must say they are truly artists. No heavy equipment. They climbed out onto each major branch and shaped it by hand. Everything was left in perfect condition. They cleaned up all the trimmings and leaves.The people who did the trimming were very pleasant. I can't say enough good things about them. I would certainly call them again and highly recommend them.

Description of Work: I have a mulberry that is very old, but that I am trying to keep around. I had Amy come out to give me a quote on just trimming it. It is very tall, and the dead branches were all over the tree. I received many quotes - and they were all more expensive than Amy. They were available within a few days to come trim the tree. It looks so much healthier.

DTS were very responsive to my email, provided a quick estimate and took the tree down, ground the stump and left the area very clean. The only thing left behind was some of the reisdue from the stump. Easily picked up and bagged.

Description of Work: We used Dallas Tree Surgeons 2 years ago. They removed the trees and ground down the stumps and any leaves that were on the surface. What was left was just a nice, smooth and leveled area.
