Front door was replaced first and fits so well that when I close the front door I can feel the air pressure build up. That is exactly what a storm door is supposed to do. The patio door required the wooden door facing to be rebuilt. The door fits tightly. Here are the pluses: + Yard and house kept clean. + Main patio door was sticking and Dan planed the top and now it works well. I could not be more satisfied.

Dan came at the time promised and started to work. After the existing vinyl was removed the extent of the damage was revealed. We took photos for our home owners policy. After the floor was removed we discovered that the commode had originally been installed with very little support. Dan built a support for the commode into the floor joists. He put down tar paper on the sub-floor and plywood over that. The plywood was sealed and a leveling compound applied. The new sheet vinyl was installed and sealed around the edges. New quarter rounds were installed. The job looked great. Now for the pluses that put the work over the top. + Dan kept his work area clean. Debris was removed several times a day and hauled off every night. No adjoining areas were ever messed up. + The work around the piping for the commode took extra effort because of a jog in the pipe. Dan did a superb job of fitting the floor around the pipe. + The pattern in the vinyl was fit into the floor perfectly. + Dan was always polite and obliging. We have asked him to do other work for us.

I've used Dan several times. Everything went like clock-work. Jobs are finished beautifully.

Certainly a learning experience for me as I've never done such a huge project before. Dan eased my fears while explaining all of the steps and kept me always informed of the progress. The communication was first rate! Will definately use him again!

When I first called Texas Home Ventures to set up an appointment for the quote I assumed I would get on a list and see them in a few days. Instead I spoke directly with Dan and he was able to meet me at my home during my lunch hour that day. I had a quote a couple of hours later emailed to me and it was detailed with each piece we had discussed. Based on his quotes to the others I had received I decided to go forward with Texas Home Ventures. He scheduled me in a little over a week from our first meeting. The job was started on time and each day Dan would clean everything up as if he had not been there that day so it did not interefer with the daily living in the house. There was a bit of delay in totally completing the job due to weather but Dan communicated well in regards to when he would be back out. My door and deck turned out spectacular and I am completely pleased with the service and work done by Dan and his team. I would recommend him to anyone needing a fair price, good service, and quailty work completed.

He is always on time and he is perfectionist on the work he does. He will work whatever hours it takes to get the job done right! He is very professional and nice! He even picks up his mess after he is finished with the work!

Dan came on a Friday to fix a gate, since I could not latch it to keep the dogs in. He worked after hours (came from another job) and stayed until after dark to finish it. I have used Dan before and he is always willing to go above and beyond what most professionals will. His work is excellent and he comes prepared; he has his own set of a variety of screws and bolts, so doesn't use "charged" time to run to the hardware store. He also doesn't nickel and dime you to death for the screws and bolts he uses. I hope to always be able to use Dan for home repairs and remodeling.

I was very pleased with the whole experience. Grinding down the uneven places in the sidewalk had not been included in the contract and I wanted to pay him extra for this extra work because he had to go back and get the grinder. but he wouldn't let me. He came when he said he would, the work was done quickly and neatly, and he cleaned up everything afterward. Dan is a very nice and conscientious man. I enjoyed doing business with him and will definitely call him again.

Everything went perfectly. Dan is an expect and very creative. He solved all problems left by a previous contractor and created beautiful new contemporary cabinet doors and drawer faces. He was always friendly, calm, and responsible. He is a perfectionist in his work, arrives on time, and he never missed a day. I plan to hire him again for many more projects.

The best contractor I've ever had! They were on time and best of all the work was superb. This gentleman is a master craftsman and it shows in his work. He takes pride in a job that is done right enough good things can't be said.

AWESOME Handyman! Dan is the ultimate professional. He is brilliant on custom work, very innovative. His overall knowledge and experience was extremely valuable on some of the "unexpected" problems (i.e., front door bottom stripping; upstairs existing toilet plumbing). He communicated every step of the way, showed patience and great tenacity in completing the "list". He is flexible, personable, punctual, and the ultimate workhorse. He graciously shares advice when asked, I definitely recommend his work and will use his services again. Thanks Dan!

The work went fine. They did a quality job. It was done promptly and professionally. Workmanship was excellent. They repaired two doors. They replaced lock mechanism and latch mechanism and remove the door frame. I had no problem with them.

This is the second job Dan has done for me. He does great work and we have two more ready to go. The pad and sidewalk was to provide someplace solid to keep my garbage bins which had been sitting in mud for years, I wanted them behind the gate but with dogs it was an impossible process. The idea of adding a shorter fence to keep them in when I went in and out was genius. We had a couple of stops during the process due to weather, Dan always called and let me know when he would be out to finish. I would recommend Texas Home Ventures (and have). His prices are fair and his work is above par.

He was very quick to come out and work through what I needed. I have not had my bid yet and that is because of the weather. However, he did call me and informed me about it. So far my interaction with him has been good. He came out and listed to what I needed. He was very conscientious about what I wanted. He also knew that I was going to take one project at a time and finish them and he was still very cooperative about it. I hate shopping around getting quotes. If he gives a good quote I will be happy with it. So far they have been great. His Initial responsiveness has been good. I called him on the 21st of January and he came on the 22nnd. He called me on the 1st of February and told me that things had been backed up and that was the last I heard from him. I am a little disappointed that it is now the 11th and he has not called me yet. He was professional when he came here.

We just adore him. He has done quite a bit of work for us. We think that he is completely awesome. He has also helped my husband with a lot of carpentry and small jobs. He was just terrific. He is very professional, but at the same time very warm. We feel real comfortable with him being in our house. The prices he quoted us were really reasonable because my husband actually compared it to three different bids. He is just a super, super nicer guy. We couldn’t say a bad thing about him. We got in touch with him because we needed the ramps urgently as it was an emergency surgery for our dog and he was available for us. We spent about $700 on the storm doors and the ramps and he purchased the wood for us.

Answer my email right away with an explanation of his services. He didn't do the kind of work I was asking about, but he was very professional in his response.

He showed up on time and we walked though the work I wanted estimates for the projects I wanted. He took his time to measure, take notes and make drawings. He followed up on a few point for clarification before submitting his bid which included very detailed drawings. I found his bid and estimates to be right on the money and level of detail I needed. His work was by far outstanding in it quality and workmanship. The exterior fascia work had a lot of angles to cut. He did not take the easy way out and use chalk to make the angle met. We had him install granite tile countertop. As part of the counter top work he added bracing that was needed to the cabinets. This work was extra since he did not know it was needed until after he removed the old countertop and did not charge for it. The way the counters were made forced him to cut a lot of tiles with angles so it would look correct around the sink area. It turned out beautiful. My wife could not be happier with the way it turned out. The Custom bookcase is some of the best work I have seen. There is a unique feature I needed for the bookcase and he came up with the perfect idea. After he replaced the exterior door I no longer have an issue with water coming in under it. (It was an old door that was not installed properly and was rotting because of it) Let me list some of the point I liked or notice: 1. Showed up when he say he would or call to let you know if he would be late. 2. Always keep things clean and Never left a mess for the next day. 3. Paid attention to details. 4. Took time to explain things when asked. 5. He provided advice and suggestion all along the way to help the project look better and save cost. 6. Did not come back and nickel and dime with extra charges. Ask to see his portfolio of past work. I will definitely use him in the future and have recommended him to other friends.

Great. Without his help, those things would still be laying in pieces while we tried to figure out the pictograph instructions. Instead, they are now totally together and anchored firmly to the wall behind them. One thing I appreciate about this company is that they can handle big jobs, but they don't consider any job too small.

Excellent. Our company in Richardson was expanding the conference room and we needed to extend the conference table. Texas Home Ventures came out, took pictures and measurements, and did a super job matching the existing furniture. It is almost impossible to tell what furniture is new and what is original. We were extremely pleased with the quality of the work.

Very well. Our company was expanding into some new space, and we were trying to match some existing furniture for our office. Mr. Fitzner came to our office, took pictures and measurements, completed the work when he said he would, and we were very pleased with the quality of the work. Defnitely an A+.

Very well. Dan was able to find a match for the tile that had come loose and repaired a busted door jamb for us. He called us and told us when he was going to do the work, came when he said and finished it when he said. He was very conscientious about cleaning up any mess that was made, even sweeping sawdust from the garage. A+ job and attitude.

Excellent. Our company was leasing some additional space, and we wanted the furniture in the new space to be similar in quality to the furniture in the original space. We had used Texas Home Ventures earlier in April to build two cabinets, were very satisfied with the work, and asked Mr. Fitzner to build us six more. He delivered the furniture when we were moving into the new space, and even helped us carry the furniture. Everyone was very pleased with the quality of the work. A+

Excellent. Our company was expanding into some new space in Richardson, and we needed some bookcases for the new offices. Dan came out and took some measurements and showed us several stain samples to match the existing furniture. He delivered the furniture to our office and even helped carry it. A+

Very well. We had a door that was jammed shut all the time and had been water damaged. Dan removed the old door and installed the new door. He showed up on time, did the work and cleaned up after himself better than any other workers we have seen. Very pleased with the work.

Excellent. We had a door that swung the wrong way. Dan Fitzner reversed the door and when he was finished, it was impossible to tell the repair. We also had a very steep, narrow and unsafe ladder in our attic to reach one of the air conditioners so that we could change the air filter. Dan took out the old ladder and replaced it with something that was wider, stronger and safer. As has always been the case, he cleans up after his work. Great job and very helpful.
