The work went great. The man that came out, did a check on it, and told me I could look online to see the danger in having the one I had. They brought me up to code and everything works nicely. I plan on using them again.

Used web-based service request form to set up appointment on a Friday afternoon. Received prompt call back to schedule appt for following Tues AM ("first call") and arranged work schedule accordingly. Monday got a call from someone else wanting to set up service appt. that was already scheduled. Phone call at 7:30am on Tues: electrician out sick. Offered a number of inconvenient options (wait around until 10:00am, rescheduled for late morning another day (IOW miss another half day of work), etc. Reluctantly agreed to 10:00am same day; 10:05: another phone call saying electrician "on the way."; 10:45: still no electrician, but got another phone call from someone ELSE wanting to see how the service had been (!!!!), and, when I said it hadn't been done yet, wanting to set it up!!!!!! In the meantime, as 11:00 came and went with no sign of the electrician (after they promised he would be there at 10:00, when the original appointment was for 8:00), having wasted an entire half-day, I called them and gave them the boot. What a disaster!!!!!! Clearly, these folks have no clue what they are doing (multiple phone calls from different people days apart to set up service already scheduled; "no show" electrician on day of appointment"; no effort to "make it right" by sending another electrician promptly; "no show" on ***second*** electrician, accompanied by phone calls from some clueless individual wanting to know if my service had performed well)!!!!! Given their high prices, & the fact that they charged me a lot of $$ for previous work that really wasn't ever completed properly, I was a fool to assume they could handle such a small, straightforward job. Silly me for not re-checking AL before hiring this company for repeat work (they didn't even come up on a category search today). Unless you have an unlimited bank account, or "stay-at-home" with all the time in the world to allow for no-shows, and have a non-critical job, I wouldn't bother with this company! I have since located another, owner-operated electrician in my area (from AL) and have scheduled with them. I'll report on them after the work is done!
Description of Work: Submitted web-based service request that resulted in such a circus of poor service, I eventually had to just cancel and find another contractor. Given that I had used the company in the past (decent and prompt service, but didn't fix original problem on 1st visit and charged a lot of money), I expected better. All I needed done was repair/replacement of an old incandescent ceiling fixture -- pretty simple!

It went well overall. Electrical services to residential sites are very high. This company is at the very top as it relates to price. They offer a senior discount, but it you don't press them they will not apply it. Also they have a TFS price that is difficult to understand. The Representative was very professional and was pleasant to work with.
Description of Work: Evaluated the home electrical panel. He found some problems and fixed them. Replaced two GFI's that had been giving me problems for years. Diagnosed the bad light in the swimming pool. Replaced the light in the pool. Had to go into the pool to do the work.

It went okay. They came when they said they were going to come and he completed the work pretty fast. It has held up well. The only thing I didn't like was that they pressured me into getting the box replaced and upgrading everything.
Description of Work: They replaced some wiring on the outside that goes to the garage because there was a short in it and it was flaring.

A/C went out on a Friday. Called repair person and they said it was an electric problem. Called Milestone around noon asking if they could come out that day. After taking some information they checked the schedule and said they would fit me in. I was called back within the hour letting me know that a person was on his way. He arrived and diagnosed the problem quickly. Gave me a quote and fixed the problem in no time at all. Their pricing is a little different than other companies in that they have a fixed priced per job type. No matter how long it takes, the cost is still the same price. Other companies will quote you an hourly rate plus materials.

My original contractor/remodeler tapped into an existing line to provide an outdoor plug. Ever since then, the house has been experienced "brown outs" whenever the hot tub heater kicked in. I was worried about electrical damage or fire hazards. This is an older home and electrical lines were suspect. Technician recommended a whole-house surge suppression circuit to protect my electronic equipment-- also came with a high dollar insurance guaranteed. Great service. This was my second time to use this company. They also replaced the electrical service from pole to home after a tree limb took out the entire line after a bad windstorm. All Employees are courteous, on-time, and respectful of my home. I would hire them again in a minute!

Gus responded almost immediately to an email inquiry I sent. Based on how I described the work needed Gus was able to give me an approx. estimate that was less than other companies had quoted. I asked to schedule an appt. and received a call within a few minutes to schedule. The woman that scheduled the appt. was extremely professional. I work, so when she indicated that the first available appt. was a week away, I asked if there was anything she could do to arrange for an appt. the next day, which was Saturday. Even though Saturday is their busiest day, she said she would work me in. The technician, Wes, arrived right on schedule. Although I wasn't there when he arrived, he waited for me to return and completed the job in short order. I have had so many bad experiences with contractors and other service help, it was extremely nice to have an experience that was prompt, professional and no hassle.

I obtained another estimate and that of Milestone was on target. The technicians were here on time and worked all day to complete the job. In the course of doing this work, and later having our old, rotten deck removed (exposing new electrical, air conditioning, and plumbing issues!) the technician has been out to repair a couple of other problems. Milestone makes a point of doing background and drug testing of its employees and of course they're licensed electricians. I've felt comfortable having to come and go while work was going on in/outside of my house by Milestone and that has been important. Also, while Wes is on the younger side and thus probably does not have decades of experience, he takes his work seriously and has been responsive to all questions and concerns. I've especially appreciated his taking the time to explain what must be done, what would ideally be done, etc. with regard to ensuring that our old 1940's home with its 1970's add-on is safe.
Description of Work: Electrician Wes Lather and another technician built a riser to lift our power cable up (cable goes from alley pole to roof), upgraded panel, and supplied a new meter. The work needed to be done as we're building a new deck and arbor in our backyard and our cable line was too low for the arbor.

I was very impressed with their work. They were very thorough. They were clean, in uniform and communicated all the charges well before he started and cleaned up his mess when he was finished.

Milestone called me the morning of the appointment and told me the electrician was on his way. They even told me his name. When Josh Gentry and his helper arrived, I was pleasantly surprised by the way they were dressed. They were very neat looking in their white shirts and overall very professional in their appearance. Josh evaluated the things I wanted done and gave me a price estimate before they started work. They took care with everything they did and did not leave any messes. They even put on paper booties every time they stepped into the house, even though I told them it wasn't necessary. They did an excellent job in solving my few problems and had everything they needed on their truck. I will definitely call them again whenever I need electrical work done, and I would recommend them to anyone needing electrical work, small or large.
Description of Work: Josh reconnected the wiring to a ceiling fan that had been knocked loose by another company which had done some work in the attic. Milestone located the problem and repaired it. They also found and reconnected a ground wire in a kitchen plug and replaced a loose light switch in the garage.

Extremely responsive & punctual -- answering phones, appointment reminder calls, techs arrived early (calling 1st to be sure it was OK). Very professional, polite, knowledgeable tech (Mike, with apprentice Justin). Very clean (shoe covers, cleaned up after). Unfortunately, despite their hard work, they did not manage to solve the problem. They came back out "no questions asked" the next day. Alas, their proposed fix (entirely new circuit) was too expensive, so I elected to postpone. Shortly thereafter, I diagnosed/fixed the problem myself by replacing an old, malfunctioning surge protector/UPS running on the circuit! In all, I'm a little surprised that they didn't correctly find/fix the problem. And, you'll have to put up w/ the "hard sell" for their "protection plan" & additional service they'll offer. However, I can put up with this sort of thing, in exchange for professional, polite, responsive, expert service.
Description of Work: Diagnostics on a bad circuit (intermittent power drop outs) in an older home. Thoroughly investigated all parts of the circuit, including checking the old FP breaker panel, a trip into the sweltering attic, replacing the outlet, etc. Did some repairs to the circuit, tightened all breaker connections in the panel, and did their "safety check" on the entire electrical system in the home. Made recommendations for upgrades (as anticipated), but in fact I had an idea that these were really needed, so it wasn't entirely an "up sell". They work "flat fee", rather than hourly, which can be more expensive (esp. with added trip charge); but it's a trade-off. Both fellows did work hard for the 2 hours they were here. The $ wasn't entirely wasted (see below), since they did perform some repairs and inspect the system. They forgot my $25 AL discount, but called back soon to make good on it (refund check).

Excellent. Marcus was the electrician that did the work. I initially asked for 4 circuits and that was going to cost 1900.00. Marcus told me that 3 would get the job done which ended up saving me $600.00. He installed the circuits and cleaned up the mess. Excellent work!!

Our ceiling fan stopped working in our computer room. There was no electricity getting to the wall switch that controls the fan, and after checking the breaker box and even installing a new wall switch, we still couldn't find the problem. We then called Milestone Electric. Aaron came out the same day we called and arrived within the time period that was promised. After asking us a few questions, he quickly solved our problem. He was very polite and very knowledgeable about what he was doing. This was our first time to use Milestone and we will certainly use them again.

My opinion is that the company is excellent. They did a very good and were very professional. They were concerned with not making a mess inside my home to the point they put down mats so as not to dirty my carpets. I was very impressed with that and I would recommend this company highly.
Description of Work: They put in three new ceiling fans and three light fixtures. The old fixtures were taken out. They also grounded my circuit box which wasn't part of the deal.
