Milestone Electric & Air

Changing my previous five star rating to one star. I have used Milestone electric multiple times and have been pleased with the price and service. Until my last experience with them. I needed a motor replaced on a vent fan in an outbuilding on my property. The technician London M. took a quick look at it and quoted a price of $2954. I told him that was ludicrous and mentioned the part at Home Depot was under $100, so then, he said if I supplied the part he could do it for $464. I told him no thanks, I’ll find someone else. Which I did, White Electric out of Lewisville, who did the job of replacing the motor and thermostat for $415 Needless to say, Milestone Electric is out & White Electric in on future jobs.

They tried to sell tens of $thousands$ in unnecessary repairs. I regret signing for replacing a new wall switch before diagnostics. I had briefly lost power, checked breaker box and GFI outlets which revealed nothing. One side of wall switch had no power. Turns out we had an unknown GFI in an unlikely place which had tripped. Courteous and friendly technician found it and reset it, and charged me a not so friendly $363. He slid a valuable and very heavy heirloom chest of drawers across the carpet without checking with me, risking breakage of a leg. Of his time spent on site, it took him about a minute to reset the GFI. No switch was replaced. They left excessive paperwork, mostly illegible, in an expensive glossy folder. Horrible value. Tactics seemed predatory. Partly on me because I felt pressure to restore light for my remodel crew.

Horrible experience… I was told it was $99 for the service fee on the phone and then the tech proceeded to tell me it would be another $450 to diagnose the problem!!!’ Shameful! I feel sorry for elderly people that get taken advantage of this cheap sales ploy. The communication was terrible! Be better than this milestone.

They are very good and we have been using them for several years now. They were very professional and knowledgeable. We would highly recommend them and we would definitely hire them again.

I have spent over $10,000 in electrical work with them within last two weeks. They also charged for the annual membership fee. They will not take the responsibility of their work when batteries they changed two weeks ago (as part of annual maintenance program) and the smoke detector alarms started beeping all over the house. They wanted to charge $79 for the visit instead of fixing it under the warranty (which they said 5 years.) I would never use Milestone ever again for any of their services. They are highly overpriced, their technicians use high pressure sales tactics, and propose unnecessary work. They proposed $7,600 for plumbing repairs that was less than $500 work and proposed $18,000 for HVAC repairs that is less than $1,000 work.

Most trustworthy plumbing company that I have dealt with. Called them in the summer when we had a gas leak. Before them I called six other plumbers, all certified. Two didn't come out, another came out but had a two thousand dollar difference in o phone quote and in person quote. The others I called would only quote the fee to come out, not to find the leak. Milestone honored their quote and saved my home. They found a problem in my attic that could have burned my house down and fixed it then and there. They will always be the choice of plumbing for my family.

EXcellent. They were here the same day. They were personable, professional, and I recommend them to anyone.

They charge without permission. They very pricey care to other service.

Outdoor switch box was so badly corroded couldn’t be used. He replaced the defective switch and installed a new weatherproof switch box. It cost more than I expected but it would have taken me several trips to Home Depot and a lot of aggravation if I had done the job myself.

He put in a new electric outlet and ran a wire to the switch for me. It works and I'm happy. They're very professional! They always show up on time. They even put on footies so they don't dirty up your house. I appreciate that they respect my property. They do give you prompt service to address your problem and will give you a fair deal.

They were excellent. They did what they said they would do. Very informative.

The repair guy showed up on-time, was quite helpful and nice. Resolved the problem quickly.

Very well. I was very pleased with Oliver and Jay's service. Done very quickly and extra advice on just how much longer I can expect my current AC to last. Charged for routine maintenance but was worth much more to me.

I've had good luck. The cost was more than I'd like to know. I had several other people give me estimates and some were a lot lower. I think what would have happened is if they came out, it might have been lower to begin with, but by the time they left it would be more expensive. With Milestone, it covers everything. It is complete. They are usually right here on time. He's done several things for me. It's always been top notch. They think of getting permits from the city, things I would not think about. They are really professional and good.

We had a very hot wall and was concerned about that. It took him a while to figure it out. Bless his heart, he had to crawl in and out of our attic. It ended up being just heat from the attic going through the walls. He took a lot of time to make sure that it was just that and not electrical or anything like that. It was scary. You don't just go around touching your walls but for some reason we touched that wall one day. I thought, wow that is hot. I just wanted to make sure that it is safe. He came out and worked very hard that it was.

They were very professional and didn't overcharge. Just very professional. It probably took an hour for the work to be completed.

We're on an annual contract with them where we just pay them a flat amount and they come out in the fall and the spring. They were there probably about 45 minutes. The workers were nice.

They are polite, they are punctual, they are very informative. They are professional. You can find them. You know they are going to be there when you call them. They are stable.

There was no cost for this service because he did the check two weeks earlier. What keeps me going back to them is familiarity and I think that's the biggest thing, I know what to expect, I know the guys that are coming, so I'm familiar with them and they're familiar with my house. Their price is good. I'm kinda lazy, so they're really easy. I hate looking for new service people to do anything, because you never know what you're gonna get until they're gone if you're using them for the first time.

Milestone Electric replaced my furnace a couple of years ago and they do my regular maintenance on my air conditioner. They're a little on the pricey side, but they're fast and I know them, so I just always let them come back. Their cost is pretty reasonable as far as the check-up. I would give them an A overall because not only have they done all my heating and cooling stuff, but any electrical work like adding a receptacle or anything like that. They actually have a program; it's like a membership thing. You pay them $49 a year and then you get priority service, so there's no service call. They don't charge emergency prices if you have to call them out when it's out of regular business hours. They'll come and do an electrical check once a year at no additional cost. That's one reason I do pay $49 a year, so they can do that. I have one heating and air guy and I have one electrician, so they always send me the same electrician and they always send the same heating and air guy. I think their value is pretty good, but just a little pricey. They're punctual, they're very professional, and they're clean. My electrician and the heating guy, they're really nice. I don't have any trouble with their work. They come when they're supposed to be here, they call you before they come, and they don't piddle around. It's not like an hourly price anyway, so the pricing that they give you is for the job; whether it takes fifteen minutes or two hours it's all the same price. They're pretty quick and efficient. They are well established, so you know that you can always find them.
