Milestone Electric & Air

Kurt and Kevin from Milestone did a fantastic job. They originally came in to install a new fixture and when we realize that there had been a small electrical fire in the fixture, they checked the electrical panel. The panel was not done to code and had to be moved from the kitchen to the garage. Kurt and Kevin spent all day, pulling wires, crawling in the ceiling (they had to remove the drywall in the garage and replace it to get to the attic), and making sure that my new electrical work was safe and up to code. My only fault was that the prices quoted may have been high--if I had had time to shop around, I probably could have gotten it done for less...I don't know if the job would have been handled in as professional a manner. I was very pleased and would call them again.

I was quite pleased with them. They gave me an estimate that I approved. They stayed within the estimated amount. They were punctual. They called ahead to let me know they were on their way. They kept to the schedule. They stayed until the work was complete. I didn’t have any trouble getting a call back or getting a hold of them.

I had a storm come through in the country and I had to get a new meter post. It was very expensive but it was a lot of work. I called several companies and no one else would come out to look at it. All of the workers were friendly and knowledgeable. Their equipment was top notch. They finished the job in a timely manner. They were very professional.

The work order charged me for the 5 GFI outlets and gave the (3) bathrooms free; the 5 paid outlet were installed and only 1 bathroom was installed. The gameroom light was installed without a toggle switch but had used the remote from the family room ceiling fan; I never asked for a remote controlled light as a matter of fact I told the technicians not to use the remote on the ceiling fan installation. The troubleshooting on the ceiling fan -- I was told it did not work (which I already knew). The ceiling fan in family room had no extension rod installed so it is oddly to close to the ceiling and the dimmer switch was installed with a 1/2 inch gap in the wall; the technician said I could get the drywall repaired. Within a few days the remote for the gameroom light stopped working and I could not get the light to shut off, a different technician came a removed the remote and added another single toggle instead of the double toggle I had originally asked for (was told there was no double toggle in the van). Now I have 2 screw holes from where the remote control was mounted. While transferring the panel box the techninians had to open windows and never went back through after they were finished to close & to lock them all. I noticed a breeze in the hallway which lead me into the guest room and notice the window was slightly opened. In March 2012, Lacy Paul came to house to look over my comments above because I given Milestone Electric a 'D' rating; it took him 4 days to fix all the bad issues from 2011. He was wonderful and ensured me that this is not how Milestone Electric operates; he said I experienced the worst overall service within his years at Milestone. I am so glad that I had the pleasure of dealing & working with Mr.Paul. He went above and beyond on my house and I am so grateful I gave Milestone Electric a second chance to make things right. Thanks again Mr. Paul from me and my dogs (they love the little toys & treats you got them)

Overall it was an excellent experience. I am extremely pleased with the quality of the work done and the short time it took him to complete the projects. I thought with all I needed to be done that it might actually take two visits to complete them.

They were extremely efficient and professional. Their follow up was the best I have experienced by any company. An outside meter box broke or stopped working about five months after they did the breaker box. They covered it under the warranty on the breaker box. They came the same day to replace it and I was up and running. They arranged for an immediate inspection and tagging by the city and electric service provider. They were just really on top of it. The overall experience was excellent. I would use this company again in the future.

They were very, very good. The service man that came, JB, was so courteous, understanding, and thorough. I was very pleased. What they put in was code, but he wanted to find a way that I could use my outlets.

They were very thorough, professional, and timely. The price was a bit high, but they told me how much it would be up front. They went over the quote with me and he guarantees the price. There was a really long guarantee on the work so you are paying for that. They even put clean room things over their shoes when they come into the house.

Very well. They were on time and nice. They are a little bit on the expensive side but they do a good job.

Milestone responded with professional and courteous response dispatching a tech to my house in a timely manner. Luke Strange was the electrician dispatched. I was impressed with his knowledge, professional and personal approach to servicing my needs during the entire evaluation process. Immediately, upon initial evaluation Luke informed me that my service panel was out of date and that it had been declared unsafe and obsolete by Texas state law. He provided me with documentation to indicate that this old electrical panel was in fact declared unsafe by the state of Texas and he also provided me with a number of websites to refer to on the matter so that I was comfortable with the fact that his assessment was honest and factual. I proceeded to investigate on the web while he was on location to confirm that my existing electrical panel in fact was obsolete and that no licensed electrician could perform work on this panel according to Texas state law. Having confirmed this, I ask for a quotation to replace the panel with a current and safer panel and was quoted $4,740 to do the job. Again, while he was still on the property, I contacted 2 additional reputable Electrical contract companies for a competitive bid for performing the work and received quotes that were very similar at $ 3,480. I informed the tech that his price was too high for this job and he immediately contacted his supervisor to discuss the price difference. I spoke to the supervisor and he agreed to meet the price for the job but at this point I insisted that he needed to beat the price offered by 2 competitive contractors. We agreed finally on a price of $3,180 since he already had a tech on site to do the work. Once the cost was mutually resolved, I agreed to have Milestone do the work. The tech proceeded to execute the install immediately. Luke did a great job, very meticulous with his wiring , labeling and circuit testing. Very clean and professional courteous work. In the final analysis, I received what I considered to be a competitive price for the work but I did have to do some on site negotiations to get there as a dutiful consumer. For this reason, I have given Milestone a rating of C for price based on their initial higher quotation which was 33% higher than 2 competitive quotations. However, I did receive a competitive quote in the final analysis and was very happy with the work performed.

We found them on the internet and received a discount by mentioning this. The woman was very professional and friendly. They were out 2 days later. The technician called 30 minutes prior and was here when he said he would. He was very professional and courteous (even wore the shoe covers). He gave us peace of mind about a things we thought we had issues with and then fixed the problem. He did have to run and pick up a part from another truck which extended his stay, but all in all, a very good experience.

We have had them several times for installation of ceiling fans and different electrical things. They’ve done a really good job for us. We would definitely use them again.

Our electrician arrived with all the necessary tools on time. He worked thru the day with no breaks and no trips to get materials. John spoke to us in common terms and did not try to bully us into unnecessary work. A real pleasure to have working for us.

Milestone was able to schedule an appointment for the next day. The next day a technician called and said he was in the area and asked if he could come by earlier than scheduled. This was OK for me. Technician was friendly and professional. Technician was capable and knowledgeable for the work done. Considering the tools, truck and the employees wages, I believe their fee to be reasonable. I would use this company again and I would recommend them to friends or family.

The electric company disconnected my service with no warning. They were trying to install a digital meter but the post was damaged. Rather than put the meter back, they disconnected the service to the house. I was not able to get one person with Oncor who could give me the same answer as the next. Either they were guessing or the office people have no idea what the field people are doing. The office people with Oncor all agreed that they do not shut off service to the house unless there is a fire hazard yet no one could tell me what that hazard was based on paperwork. I thought that some one was trying to steal copper. The electricain also were of little help but agreed to do the work for $5500. When I tried to ask some one else they came down to $5000, When I told my wife to call some one else, they came down to $4000. I later found out that the work was worth $700 to $900. The took advantage of me and two men worked for 3.5 hours.

Two clean cut young guys showed up, within the specified time range. They put on shoe covers, not to mess up the floor. Although I had called them to replace the battery in a chirping fire alarm unit, I asked them to reseat another unit and fix a short in a recessed lighting can. They were very polite, clean and knowledgeable. They were very efficient in Doing the work. They definitely tried to upsell, but I was having none of that. They took care of all the issues and also explained to me the problem with the recessed can unit. I can now prevent that from happening again, and can fix it myself if it does. Overall a positive experience. The only issue I had with them was how they applied the $50 advertised credit to the work. They deducted it from a $65 dispatch fee, which was not applied to the work being done. So essentially count on paying a $15 dispatch fee on top of the work being done. I would recommend them to others.

They discounted the price because the first time they came out, they didn't think they needed a permit to install the detectors. They were good at problem-solving and cared about keeping us satisfied.

Job # 304171. Pulled permit - city planner's office - AFTER performing work so inspection was delayed. Quality was fine, organization kinda not. Originally ordered a ditch wich, signed for it, then had it picked up unused due to change of plans...smaller ditch dug by hand - main run inside house instead of outside. I think I must have paid for some of that confusion on their part. I only wanted 30 Amp service but they talked me into the "standard 60 Amp panel"..

We had the work done on two different houses and spent $3000 on each house. The job went great.

They were good. We had an attic fan that didn’t work right and they came and fixed it. We had some lights that had a problem and they fixed those too. They came in. They put booties on their feet. They were very clean. Shortly after they did, something went wrong. We called them again and they came right back but they sent a different guy out. They discovered that it was just a battery that was out and they fixed that. The guy called before coming to the house. The quality of their work was good. We would use them again in the future.
