Milestone Electric & Air

We called Milestone electric because we have a recreational vehicle parked on a pad in our back yard, and when we are not using it, we occasionally need to plug it in to maintain the battery system in the RV. Unfortunately, when we plugged it into the GFI outlets outside on our porch, it would frequently cause the GFI circuits to break, affecting everything in our garage on the same GFI circuits to also stop. Milestone was able to install a dedicated 20 amp circuit for the RV on the outside wall of our house that was not only more efficient, but also much more accessible. Jason arrived right on time to start the installation, and also inspected our current electrical system. It took him about an hour to complete the work, and he explained everything to us along the way. When he was done, he also pointed out to us that our main electrical panel in the garage was showing signs that might indicate a fire hazard. There were visible scorch marks at several areas on the panel. He did recommend that at some point in the near future we have our whole electrical panel updated and replaced. We appreciated Jason's obvious knowledge and professionalism, and the fact that he did not try to pressure us into an immediate expensive repair of our system. (about 4 months later we did have Milestone replace our panel, and they again did an awesome job!)

Overall, the experience was good. They were prompt, courteous, and efficient. They were pricey, but I got what I paid for. Even though the work was done about five years ago, I haven’t had any problems with any of the work they did.

The Milestone Electric that came to my home was in Fort Worth, but I could not find the correct office. Earlier this summer, we noticed that the power would dip to almost no light and then come back up. The "brown outs" became more prevalent. We realized we were facing a serious threat to our safety. Milestone redid outlets in each of the bathrooms, the garage, the kitchen, and outside. I had a couple of outlets that would shock the person switching them on. They checked all outlets and lines to make sure they were safe. If there was a problem, they replaced them. They were wonderful with their work. In addition, I did not have the money to pay them that day. They worked with me on a payment plan and I was able to fix a potential fire hazard. I can't recommend them highly enough. They were professional and caring. An awesome combination!

Smooth. Unexpected problems were dealt with efficiently and the installations have functioned perfectly since.

I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy. I had to have an electrician from another company come back to check and re-do work. My first appointment time came and went and no one showed up. I called the office and they had forgotten to put me on the schedule. On the re-scheduled appointment, the electrician was over an hour late. He was rude, unprofessional and actually mocked me. He spent the entire time he was here complaining, ran a ladder into an expensive light fixture that he left on the floor and did not finish the work. He also tried to charge me two separate fees for hooking up the electric for one light fixture, which would have been almost $300. When I asked him what the second charge was for he said, I'll only charge you this; does that make you happy? I asked the electrician from the company I called to fix/finish his work and how much he would charge for the same work (without telling the second electrician how much milestone charged) and Milestone's invoice was over twice as much as the other licensed electrician would have charged. The only positive thing I can say about my experience with milestone is that the guy wore shoe covers.

Prompt and complete work. Estimate in the evening, started work early the next morning. Knowledgeable, caring, and hard working technicians. Even helped me navigate the inspection process when the inspector had a misunderstanding about the code requirements.

When I had Milestone come out to replace the lug and they told me over the phone that I needed a whole new meter box and that it would cost $1500. I had my wife pay Chad for his trip charge, told him that I did not want the meter box replaced at that time and told him that I would call Milestone back later if I decided to have them do it. I then had another electrical company, that I found on Angie's list and that has an A star rating, come out to replace the hot lug for $238 total.

They were extremely punctual, went over everything with me and explained some of the things that should be done. At this time we choose only to have the lights repaired and they had no problem with that.The repair people are very nowledgeable and friendly. Told me when I was ready to have the rest of the work done to call, and I will.

They came in turned on the burners on the stove. Watch to see if the breaker would flip off. After 20 min the circuit breaker flipped off. He went into and changed the fuse, then he walked around the house checking all plugs. Went outside to see if the house had a ground wire. We signed the paper work paid the price and he left.

Returned my call promptly. Arrived on time, very professional. Also explained to me my need for a whole house serge protector. Having that installed later.

Early last year, we urgently contacted Milestone Electric when half our house lost power. Mitch promptly came out, gave us an explanation of what was going on in our 30 year old home. Since we were missing power in half the our home, we hired Milestone and they started the project. We decided to move our electrical panel outside for safety purposes. All of the work was completed timely and very satisfactorily. What truly shows the character of Milestone was an additional need for an electrician after having our swimming pool demolished and that crew left live wires outside our home (we discovered this months after job). We called Milestone and they came right over. The two gentlemen disconnected the live wires and installed a new outdoor GFI outlet to make it safe again. Milestone did not charge us for this service! This company is very responsive and truly cares for their customers. Thank you again!

They came out, checked it, and said that the transformer was bad. They would have to put in a new transformer and install new landcape lights. They also offered to do a free electrical inspection of the house and reported that I needed to replace my circuit breaker at a cost of $2,997. I had the original company that installed the lights come back out for a second opinon. They corrected a wiring problem with the lights and charged me $90.00. There was nothing wrong with the transformer or the landscape lights. They did not think I had a problem with the circuit breaker. Milestone Electric did get in touch with me, apologizing for the problem and giving me a full refund. They also convinced me that the technician was correct when he told me that the circuit breaker was on a hazardous list.

Our electric panel had a short in it. I called four other electrical contractors. It was Saturday and none of them answered the phone. Milestone's auto attendant did answer and let me know that somebody would be able to take my call. They came out and did a temporary repair on Saturday. Full repair was completed on Monday.

Husband tried to install ceiling fan in kitchen and couldn't get it to work. On the second day we checked Angie's list for repair persons and found Milestone's website. Requested appt. online. Received a call within 5 minutes to book appt. Kris Wildes, the electrician, showed up the next day on time. Kris looked at the fan and gave an estimate. He told us that he would have to replace the box in the ceiling from the plastic that was there to a metal one to bring it to code. Kris went in the attic to replace the box, installed the fan - it worked. Fixed the ceiling where original builder of house had cut the whole too big for the light. Once he was done husband requested estimates on future repairs. He was here about two hours total. A few days later we received a thank you note in the mail.

They were very responsive and came to the house on the same day we called to make the appointment. I was disappointed they could not fix the short in the fan, but if we needed a new part that they did not have, that is understandable. He replaced the breaker and convinced me to pay extra to check for other issues or the breaker he replaced would not be covered under a warranty (I later was told by others that this was not necessary). After replacing the breaker, he asked multiple questions about the house and looked around. He then gave me a 1/2 hour speech on why it would be good for me to replace my entire breaker box for thousands of dollars.

I made an appointment a week in advance. They gave me a 1.5 hour window. Mike & Michael showed up on time, and I even got a call telling me they were on their way! After listening to my needs and reviewing the existing panel / electrical service entry, I was presented with a written proposal that gave me three options (at various price points). I made my selection and the guys got to work. Since I had the day off work - I chose to stay and watch them work. These guys are professionals - with an eye for quality and detail from beginning to end. They swept up after themselves, and they wore shoes covers every time they had to enter the home. The original panel from 1985 had almost no labeling about which circuits powered which devices. They inspected my AC units and major kitchen appliances to make sure they installed the right size breakers. After everything was installed and put back together, they took the time to go through the entire house and map out what each breaker controlled. This is the second time I have used Milestone in the last three years. Some people say they are more expensive than the competition, but you really do get what you pay for! Thanks Mike, Michael, and Milestone for another job well done.

I really do like them. The people that come out are very professional. I am very comfortable with the work they do and I trust the work that they do. They are very expensive however, even with the coupons I receive. I simply cannot afford them anymore so I will likely have to find another electrician.

Appeared that they wanted to do ultimate work that could be done but which wasn't necessary. I imagine that if they did the work every T would have been crossed, but if not necessary, do not rip people off.

My experience with Milestone went very well.

We went on-line to request for service. Alex called us within 15 minutes to set up an appointment. I received a phone call saying that they were sorry for not being out yet although it was still within our time window. About ten minutes later we received another call saying Sam was enroute. Once Sam arrived, he was very polite. He came in and took a look at the notes the home inspector had left us. He then looked at everything that was stated in the notes, and then gave us what he thought was needed to be done. He gave us the high end estimate so there wouldn't be any surprises. After all said and done the total was less than what the estimate was. Sam was very professional, and knowledgeable. We were very satisfied with him.

The electrician did exactly as I asked him to and it was a beautiful job. He was prompt and he was efficient with time.

I called both my regular electricians- highly rated on Angie's List - but it was a holiday - no answer ( I still love them). I abandoned the List (sorry) and searched the yellow pages for 24 hour emergency electrical service. Couldn't use the web for search- no electricity for computer!!I I got an answer from the service for Milestone. They had a service manager out to my house within 60 minutes. Two bare wires were burning in the crawl space and the circuit breaker was not tripping. Thanks to Shane Shipley for giving up his Easter morning to restore this problem to safety. I marked N/A for the cost because these folks saved me from a house fire. Responsiveness was everything. Also, I work out of town. I would have had to leave the house with electricity off, no burglar or fire alarm while trying to get the problem fixed via long distance communication. Cost in the one case was irrelevant to me. Anyway, use your favorite electrician for routine work but keep Milestone's number by the phone in case of emergency! And yes, I will have them do some routine scheduled work to prevent any recurrence of my problem. So thanks again and Happy Easter.

Chris showed up on time, was clean (put on booties to not soil the carpet), and very professional. Took a look at the porposed work, gave me a fair quote and proceeded to get right on it. He was quick, focused, and obviously skilled.Also answered all of my questions and gave me an estiamte for some work to be done at a later date. Never felt rushed by him. Great Job!!
