+ -1 moreMr. Duncan showed up a little late, but given the nature of computer repair service,this wasn't a problem. As mentioned above, he did a very thorough job trouble shooting the problem. I was particularly impressed by his ability to move back and forth between PC and Macintosh computers. I was very pleased with the top notch service provided, much more so than other computer repair companies I have work with in the past. Plus the price was very reasonable!
Description of Work: I was having trouble connecting to the internet from a new Mac, connected to a router with a PC, although the old Mac worked fine. After contacting my ISP's "help" desk, the network settings on the new Mac were completely different from the old Mac, and didn't work at all. Mr. Duncan did a very thorough job trouble shooting the connections, router settings, DSL settings, and network settings on both computers. In just under 50 minutes he got everything running smoothly and much more efficiently than before the problem surfaced. Also, I found his $80.00/hour rate VERY reasonable compared the larger services like Geek Squad.

+ 0 moreJames came promptly and set to work. Put the laptop through several virus scanning programs. While they were running, he checked the desktop and netbook. Pulled the older desktop out, checked for data that may have needed saving before erasing everything. Disconnected everything and placed it so I could get rid of it. Finally he attempted to figure out why my HP printer (with wireless capability) would not connect to my U-Verse router. That one will require a (probable) long chat with AT&T! The following day, my daughter's laptop sprung another strange problem and she was leaving town that morning. I called James and he was able to squeeze it in before she left town. Everything is working now well. James then followed up with me by e-mail by week's end. Very professional. Very helpful. Very prompt and efficient.
Description of Work: Cleaned viruses from laptop. Checked desktop for viruses and performance. Erased data from old desktop for recycling. Checked netbook for viruses and performance. Checked printer and router for wireless connectivity.
