Lisa is a great professional. She was able to make an appointment for the same day I purchased the DEAL at Angie's List. She came between the time frame provided and called when she was on her way. Also, she asked me several questions regarding my problem so she could bring along all the parts necessary. In less than 15 minutes she had my refrigerator running again! I will definitely use "E&M Home Service" again!!

Technician came within the time frame given on both visits. Phone call given in advance before arrival. He diagnosed the problem pretty quickly. And he even cleaned up the mess on both visits.

They are approved by the better business bureau. They are not plumbers. They hook up your ice at the back of the refrigerator or things like that. Putting in new heating element in a dryer. They can do things like that.

I called first thing Monday morning and got the voicemail and left a message. I received a call back within 5 minutes. One of the technicians, Lisa, had answered the phone and I gave her the details. She informed me she could be out around 1 and in fact, showed up around her estimated time. Lisa was able to diagnose the issue within 15 minutes which required a part, inverter board. Typically, if parts are involved, it requires a return trip the next day. In this case she was able to get the part and returned later in the afternoon. She had the refrigerator repaired in about 15 minutes. It is now humming along nicely and everything is cool as it should be. Thanks, Lisa and E&M

For the past month my freezer wouldnt get any colder than 15 degrees (0 is normal). Within 2 hours of calling, a technician was on his way to help troubleshoot. He determined that it likely needs refrigerant even though there was no evidence of a leak. This was a gamble that I was willing to take because I really didnt want to have to replace an 8 year old fridge. Minutes of adding just a few ounces of refrigerant, the unit started cooling like a champ. Within an hour of the technician leaving, the freezer is already at 0 degrees! Time will tell whether or not this is a temporary fix or if it will make the fridge last another 8 years. The technician was friendly, knowledgeable, and quick. I appreciated his honesty and professionalism. I would call them back for any other repair I may need. Hopefully i will never have to call them but in the real world things break and I know who I will call in the future when that happens.

I have had a rough time with my dishwasher since the install. Lisa has worked with me regarding the issues. I appreciate the work she did and how friendly she was. She gave my daughter special attention and was considerate of my home and yard.

Quick response to my email and it was a holiday! They responded same day (Labor Day) and were out the next day. Had to order part but got it and fixed quickly the following morning. Nice, courteous and waived service fee since I had a repair. I will definitely be using them again!!

He was very quick and professional. He explained what might be wrong before he tried replacing the part as it could have been a more expensive part needed replacing as well. But the part worked and he told us what to look out for in the future.

Lisa returned my call almost immediately, fit us in the same day for the diagnostics. Very knowledgeable, she showed me what went wrong, gave us a very accurate estimate and indicated she thought she would have the part by the next day, so we could expect her back if it worked for us-which it did. She also checked out our newly installed dishwasher and gave us valuable information on the best products to use in the dishwasher. Prompt scheduling within a day of service request, and a call to make me aware of arrival time and name of repairman. Eric was professional, clean and quick to take top freezer inside back wall apart, using steamer to defrost built-up ice from freezer to refrigerator behind back wall. He had appropriate fan replacement parts in his truck so no time loss. Cleaned up after himself. He applied an Angie's List discount to cost (10%). Would call E&M again if needed, and recommend him/them highly.

I discovered the temperature in my kitchen refrigerator suddenly was registering at 20 degrees and had frozen most of the food within. I moved the food to garage fridge and then looked at ads for new ones, quickly deciding to get the kitchen one repaired. On Angie's List, I found two near-by companies. I chose E & M Home Service because of their description of their company. I called and spoke to Lisa, made an appointment for that afternoon, and gave her the LG Model number. Eric arrived at the appointed time. After checking it out, it was determined that the control board was the most likely culprit and the part would have to be ordered. Working around my schedule, Eric arrived with the new board a couple of days later. Unfortunately, the correct part number on the box did not match the part number of the board inside. Reorder. After the weekend and working around my conflicts, Lisa arrived and installed the correct board. This appeared to work as it should, but still I kept the thermometer in to be sure. Over the next few days, the temperature fluctuated between freezing and non-freezing. The water line to the ice-maker evidently had split from being frozen and now a bit of water was leaking on the floor. Called Lisa and she ordered the Damper part, which opens and closes the air between the freezer and refrigerator, along with new plastic tubing and water assembly. After her installation of the Damper and water tubes, all has been well and the fridge is working as it should. And I didn't have to purchase a new one! Plus, it has been such a pleasant experience working with Lisa and Eric. They are comfortable to be around, knowledgeable and professional in their work, and accommodating to schedules. They are being recommended to anyone who listens to my 'frozen food' story.....

I tried to call E&M Home Service 6 times over the entire day. I left more than one message. No one ever returned my call. After reading such good reviews on Angie's List, I was very disappointed.

This is the first time I have ever written a review for a service provider. I am compelled to do so because of how great these people were. We are general contractors. One of our clients had a death in the family and were about to have a house full of guests. The refrigerator icemaker broke and they needed someone there fast to fix before the guest started to arrive. We called several companies who were not available. When I reached Lisa at E & M and explained our situation, she told me she was the technician and she could get in the truck and go right then. She arrived within 30 minutes and fixed the problem on the spot and for less than 100.00! We were very impressed with her punctuality, responsiveness and professionalism.

The fixed the issue completely. My son was there to handle the service. I just felt that putting $275.00 into a 12 year old refrigerator was not the smartest use of my $$. Lesson to self, handle this type of repairs myself.

Very impressed with honest direct services. They were very helpful in fitting in service call with my schedule and called to update schedule changes. Service call was very reasonable.....have been charged a lot more elsewhere for less. Will definitely recommend and refer this company. Enjoyed chatting with Lisa (I think that was her name). Very prompt & professional about delivering the bad news about our fridge. The compressor had died and was not a cost-effective repair as it costs 80% the price of a new refrigerator. The tech was forthright when asked for a recommendation for a new unit, and we bought a new one based on their recommendation. Would not hesitate to use E and M again.

In the end I was completely satisfied.

They came out the day after you called. He was prompt. He was great. He is knowledgeable. He told me it was unrepairable.

E & M charges for the initial visit but you then apply that to the repair. They ordered the part for my dryer and came back when expected and the dryer has worked perfectly since then.

I requested a service call for my Whirlpool side by side fridge on their website and the appointment was immediately confirmed by email for 11:00a the following morning. I replied with a confirmation as well. The service tech then began to call me repeatedly the following morning beginning at 8:30am for 2.5 hours. I work nights and was of course sleeping. The technician then called forty minutes prior to our scheduled appointment. I immediately returned the call and did not get an answer. I was then informed by email that the technician was running early and been at my gate when they called forty minutes before my confirmed appointment and that I would have to reschedule since their techs were running ahead of schedule and had already moved on to the next appointment. Seriously?! They moved on to the next appointment forty minuted before my confirmed appointment was scheduled to begin after running me nuts repeatedly calling me all morning!! There was no need to call me at all. Show up at your scheduled appointment time as previously confirmed, simple. Very pushy, unprofessional and blase'.

I was having an issue with my GE refrigerator not stay cold. I called E&M in the morning explained my problem. I was willing to have them come out next week. Instead they asked if they could come out the same day I called. I was very surprised and delighted they were able to take the call this quickly. The technician (Jessie) came out on time, He was courteous, knowledgeable and diagnosed the problem quickly. He had the part in his truck. Fix, clean up and submitted the bill all in 1.5 hours. Great work!

My washing machine kept stopping in mid-cycle on a Saturday morning. I called my usual handymen, but none worked on washing machinese. I had heard good things about Angie's list, so decided to go online and join. After joining looked up appliance repair companies that worked on Saturdays. E&M Home Services was one of the first ones I saw that did not charge extra on Satrudays. I called and got voicemail and left a detailed message. Lisa, from E&M services, returned my call within a couple of hours apologizing for the wait. They were shorthanded that day. I told her my problem and she gave me the top 3 issues she thought could be the problem. She was 99% sure it was the lid sensor (it was). She told me how much each issue would cost and could get someone out that day, or we could wait until Monday. I opted for Saturday and their repairman was out within the time promised. He was professional and took around 20 minutes to fix the problem. I was back in business.
