I called two or three other companies prior to calling E & M (number taken from Angie's list). They did have availability the same day (Thursday), but I was not able to leave work. Fortunately they had availability on Saturday (sometimes people may not realize what a big help it is to be able to get service on the weekends, especially for single full time 08:00-17:00-or later- working individuals). The staff who took my call (sorry forgot her name) was knowledgeable to the issue I had ("fortunately" a common issue), did not hesitate to give an estimate. She was patient taking my multiple calls and questions. What impressed me also, was that she took initiative to ask how long it would take for me to get from work to my place, then to offer having the tech call me before leaving the previous job before coming to my unit (this is when I was going to ask my supervisor if I could leave early for work. This would have allowed me to stay at work until it is time for me to meet the tech). Maybe that is standard practice, but it just helps to get helpful problem solving. Price: Approximately the same cost than I had spend before (had same issue on a different washer dryer [same model]) Quality: Unknown at this point. Appliance just got fixed. Saw on their web that they guarantee labor and parts for 6 month. Responsiveness:I spoke to a person when I called, not a voice activated system. Calls were answered. I don't recall getting a voice messaging system. Punctuality: Appointment was between 9:30-10:00. Jessie came around 09:40 Professionalism: What impressed me...Jessie took his shoes off when he came to my unit. I am not sure if that is standard practice or he was just following what I was doing. Helpful, friendly and informative. Took time to explain things.

I've really said everything above. E&M is a super company. I'd call them in a heartbeat. In fact I'm going to call them to come out on our dryer. They were quick to call me back on my initial call, they were on time to come at the appointed time, they took care of the problem, they helped us with extra questions, and even called them this past week when we were looking for the new dishwasher to see what they recommended and they helped us out again. You just don't get that kind of help from every company you deal with.

our maytag side-by-side fridge/freezer had not been cooling properly. based on the good reviews i saw on angie's list, i called e&m to see about repairing our refrigerator. i called e&m around 4pm and was told that someone could come out to my house between 5 & 6:30. the repairman, eric, showed up about 6pm. he was very friendly and courteous. he came in and promptly diagnosed the problem as a damaged circuit board. he said he had the part in his truck and told me the estimated cost before he started the repairs. because our freezer was partially frozen, the whole process took about an hour. most of the time was spent defrosting the freezer panel, so he could work on it. eric seemed very knowledgeable, and he performed the repairs very quickly. he even pulled our fridge out and cleaned up underneath and unclogged the drainage pipe for us. when he was finished he put everything back exactly as it was. our overall experience with e&m was wonderful. i would absolutely use them again and recommend them to my friends!

They came the same day I called them which was wonderful. It is a man and wife team that own the company. Both were wonderful and they even put up with my dog coming to beg to be played with. I would definitely call them if (and hopefully I wont need to) something else began malfunctioning.

I banged the gas heating element adjusting one of the racks in the lower oven of my Caloric UltraRay from the 1960's-70's and the heating element became dislodged. I'm pretty handy, but after repeated attempts of repairing it myself, I gave up. So I turned off the gas and disconnected the entire element since it was hanging and didn't want it to break and have a gas leak. And since it was old, I had a feeling the part wouldn't be available any longer. I feel bad that I don't remember the repairman's name, but he called to tell me he was running late and would be there soon. Upon arrival, I showed him the problem. He made sure the gas was off and remounted the element, turned the gas on, and voila. Very nice guy. He even cleaned out the top of the oven which was dusty. I called another company and the old guy who answered the phone gave me the third degree over why I removed the entire element. Needless to say, I didn't go with him.

Eric was very professional and quickly analyzed and fixed our refrigerator. I would definitely recommend him to anyone.

I called the company just before noon, and was told that someone could come out in about an hour and a half, and that the serviceman would call in advance. He did call, saying he would arrive by 1:30. He was at my door at exactly 1:30. He diagnosed the problem with my stove, and had it fixed in 30 minutes. I'm amazed.

I was very happy with their responsiveness, price, and quality of work. They arrived on time, quickly diagnosed the problem and were done in about 45 minutes. I was very happy with them and will use them again in the future in the event I have another appliance go out.

The company was available to fit us in within an hour or so. Tech arrived on time and replaced the ice maker and serviced the dryer. He found no issues with the washer. I have seen service companies find fault on perfectly functioning equipment.

They were very quick. They were very accurate. I just paid a service fee because there was one small screw that was loose. So they charged me only $60 service fee to get that screw tightened. They were very honest. Some other people can take advantage with their knowledge and lack of ours. I had no issues with their service. The technician who came out was very good. Their price was fair. I was happy with their service. They answered my phone quickly and got back to me in a timely manner.

Good. I call them back everytime there is something wrong with my appliances.

They are very good and I called them back several times. They did a really good job. They came back the next day to fix my ice maker because they had to get the part since they didn’t have it in their truck. They did what they said they were going to do. They were very reasonable in their pricing. I will definitely use them again if something else breaks down.
