Double Eagle Sprinkler

I was contacted by the company immediately to set up an appointment which was only a few days later. They came during the two-hour window I was given. The work was done quickly. I've had this type of work done before by other companies, and they have always tried to get me to do extra work above the price for the deal I purchased. But this company didn't. I'll use them again if I need repairs in the future.

I wouldn't say great but it was good. They came out pretty quickly. They responded immediately. We set up an appointment pretty shortly thereafter. Their response was really good on that. I didn't pay more than the "Big Deal" I purchased. Only one person came out. He was on time. He basically did what I expected. My only negative thought about the experience was that I had to prompt him of a couple of sprinkler heads to me that weren't working. I felt like he just wasn't very thorough. The ones that weren't really working, he didn't address until I pointed it out to him. It was a good value for what I paid and what I got.

Water wasn't coming out of system. I had already turned on the switch for the console. Didn't know there was a turn on for the water. After turning on the water valve, sprinkler system worked. Replaced 3 small heads and we were in business. The two guys they sent out were great and did a wonderful job

It went...okay. He spent half his time trying to upsell me on products I wasn't interested in, but he seemd to do good work.

They came out to look and told us what all needed to be repaired. After that we didn't hear back for a week or so. I called and they apologized and sent out another guy. Everything eventually got done but it took quite a while.

Arrived promptly. Made repairs. Made suggestions to improve system performance.

The "tune-up" was no tune up at all but an attempt at fraud by this company. The technician that came out claimed that I had a leak at the main valve and that it would cost $700-800 to fix. I called another Angie's List company to get a 2nd opinion and they could not detect a leak in the system of any kind. In addition, there were a number of heads that were in need of adjustment and/or replacement with different heads to provide better coverage in the back yard and those issues were not brought up in the "tune-up". To say that I am dissatisfied would be an understatement. I'm just happy that I got a 2nd opinion before agreeing to making the "repair".

My mother's sprinkler system in her small front yard did not work the summer of 2014, there was a leak somewhere as the heads would not pop up. I kept telling her that I would get it fixed for her, but she said that she could move a sprinkler around, and that drove me crazy. I contacted Double Eagle Sprinkler after searching multiple companies through Angie's List. The owner, Robert contacted me less than 30 minutes after sending them an email. I scheduled a time and they came out and looked at the system. They first thought that the leak may be under the driveway to where four bubbler sprinkler heads where. I told them that those heads were not being used so find the line and cap it. They did that but it did not fix the issue. the technician suggested a new system would be cheaper that trying to continue to dig and find the leak. I called the owner Robert and told him I would have to think about that. He told me that he would send out a man who has worked for him for years and was very good about finding leaks in sprinkler systems. Two hours after he came out, wish I could remember his name, he found the leak and the system was up and running. I also had Double Eagle Sprinkler laid down St Augustine sod. It is now March and my mother still cannot believe how much better her yard looks. We have been fortunate with all of the rain so she has only had to use the sprinkler system twice since the sod was laid at the end of December. I highly recommend Robert and Double Eagle Sprinkler. Robert was not going to be satisfied until I was.

They were prompt in responding to my request on Angie's list. I got a phone call within 30 minutes of buying the voucher. They scheduled the service in a timeframe that was good for me and my husband. The guy whom serviced our system was very timely and showed up as scheduled. He fixed one of our sprinklers which needed a new sprinkler head without charging us extra. He did a great job and made sure that the system was working prior to leaving. They did a great job and the worker was friendly. My husband said that he would definitely recommend them to others.

Provided the tune up service and gave good advice on future sprinkler plans.

The service turned out okay. They charged me more than the $89 Big Deal purchase price because it took longer than what was allotted for in the Deal. They were diligent in trying to figure out if we had leaks and where the leaks were coming from and getting those repaired.

Quick response. Very friendly and took time to suggest a solution and explain what he was doing to the system.

Two employees came out. They were satisfactory. They did have a special going at the time so I got a good price for the service.

Removed defective controller and replaced with new modern controller. Explained in detail the operation of the new controller.

I purchased a deal with them. The work was good, but it was more expensive than I thought it should be.

I expected a checkup to include more. The service seemed rushed and was completed by an employee. Basically just came to walk the yard and leave. I complained to the owner and was given a credit for future service.

They came out and took care of the job and got the system tuned in a timely fashion.

Overall it went well enough. Robert was very friendly and accomodating with my schedule. Everything was real nice until they actually started the repair of the valve. It was supposed to be finished on a Friday, and I come home to see this HUGE hole in the front yard and no notifications. I have to call Robert and he explains that they needed a larger part which would cost more $$ and didn't proceed with the work until getting approval. That's ok, but I feel that should have been explained to me before I got home. I proceed with the work, and think everything is great the next week when a subcontractor tells me a valve is stuck open and my sprinkler has flooded the entire block. I call Robert and it takes 3 hours for someone to arrive. By that point I went and turned the main water line off and waiting for the water to stop spouting out. The tech actually does a terrific job here...he listened to me complain, promised he'd get back to me with a reason why this happened and told me he wouldn't leave until I was satisfied. I was not expecting ownership of the problem. Come to find out the valve silinoid malfunctioned and he fixed the issue. The part that makes me cringe is he gave me detailed instructions on how to contact the city of Dallas and expain that I had an underground pipe leak that caused the estimated 100,000 gallons of water to be wasted so I could avoid the huge water bill. That to me is an ethically gray area that I didn't want to hear. I expect the contractor to be accountable for the issue (our part messed up so we'll pay the water bill); NOT just tell a little white lie to the city. Best of luck.

This company is great! I went with their coupon because another company (offering the same coupon) had bad reviews about responding to customers and being on time; I bought the coupon in the evening, and the owner called me the next morning before 9 am. We scheduled the appointment, and unfortunately, we had to reschedule because a job ran over. They offered me several choices for the second appointment, which was great. This time, the service guy called me to say when he could be there, and he was on time. We walked around the property - he pointed out the sprinkler heads, talked to me about the control box, and tested all aspects. He even fixed two of the heads that had gotten slightly out of alignment!

Very professional company. I contacted this company on Tuesday night via Angie's list and they called me first thing Wednesday morning and we set up an appointment for Friday. The crew was very professional and everything was outstanding. They took their time explaining everything to me so I knew how to operate the system once they left. I would recommend this company to anyone who needs them. Again a very professional company.

They saved me a ton of money. They could have charged me $1300. Instead, they found a cheaper and better solution. I am giving this reference to my neighbor. He needs work done also.
