We have used Double Eagle several times over the years to maintain our sprinkler system. It had been 3 years since last service and a number of heads had been damaged by mowing and trimming activities and there was a leak in the system. Todd did a superb job diagnosing and repairing the problems. Five Stars!

I've used Double Eagle before. I paid through Angie's List this time. I was happy with the service, but the communications were confusing. The tech that came didn't seem to know that I already paid and the people that called didn't seem to know their tech had already come. They appeared to be in transition. My impression was that Double Eagle was closing and a group of techs opened shop on their own. I don't know what the current status is.

It didn't... We wasted a Saturday afternoon waiting for someone who never showed up, never called. I called their office Monday to see what happened, the person I spoke with was surprised that nobody showed up or called, then asked if I wanted to reschedule. Nope- they have lost this customer.
Description of Work: Made an appointment for a sprinkler system "checkup". Had used them a couple of times in the past without a problem that I can recall. The appointment was for Saturday, between 1:00 and 7:00, and they were to call 30 minutes before arriving.

There was a break in one of the running cables so it was just a fix. There was a cable that wasn't allowing the automated sprinkler to work properly and they fixed that.

They were very responsive, and would like to recommend them to anyone. Everything went well. They diagnosed/fixed the issue with my sprinklers. This was my first time using this company. I really like when people are prompt, and that is the number 1 thing I look for. It was brilliant, and if I have any sprinkler issues I will be using them.

This company has decided to go with an online scheduling system that takes payment up front. I have used this company before so I wasn't too concerned about that. I booked an appointment, paid the up front fee, and received an email confirmation of the appointment. I even got a reminder email the day before the scheduled appointment, including a notation that the technician will call 30 minutes before arrival. The hours clicked by on the scheduled appointment day. At the end of the appointment time window I called the main number, and got voicemail. I left a message describing the situation that we haven't seen or heard from any technician and to please call me back. As of 1 day later, we have gotten no reply. After waiting all day, and having paid money which has now posted to my credit card, we had no choice but to dispute the charge with our credit card company.

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. The wait windows are extremely large - such as 1pm-7pm. Set an appointment date on a Friday with a wait between 1 - 7. Tech called me at 6 to tell me he wasnt going to make it due to rain. Said he would reschedule. Didn't get a call until the following Monday. Rescheduled for the following Friday. Another day off from work to wait for a tech in this huge time window! NO SHOW NO CALL! Called their emergency number. Didn't get a call back until the following Monday. Tech said they were rained out again, but it didn't rain in my area.

Scheduling was a minor nightmare. I could not go through the website because it asked for payment, and I already had my Angie's List coupon. I called a few times before I got someone. When I finally scheduled, there was a comfortable few weeks' time before my leaving the country. The technician cancelled the first time for health reasons -- ok, understandable. The second time the technician cancelled because of rain at 9 a.m. -- however, my appointment was at 4 p.m. and the rain stopped around 10 a.m. It was dry by noon. The third time was a crazy 3 days before I left the country, and I had to beg to get it not to be the day before I left. I was assured that I would be the first appointment of the day at 7 a.m. so that I wouldn't have to wait for the typical 5 hour range of time they reserve. After a night of packing up the house, I got 3 hours of sleep, woke at 6:45, and waited...and waited...When I called at 7:10, they assured me I was still first, but the technician was not in yet. An hour later, I called back again but the technician had to come in from somewhere else, change trucks, etc. etc. Each of these 3 cases would be understandable circumstances, but 3 times in a row made me feel that they were unreliable. The technician finally arrived at 9:45 a.m. When he did arrive, he was extremely polite, efficient, and helpful. He fixed a leak I had very affordably. If you have time constraints, don't hire them. But if you are more relaxed, then go for it. The service is great once you actually have them at your house.
Description of Work: I bought an Angie's List coupon for a general sprinkler check. This was a mistake, as I realized that they offer the same deal to any new customer, and buying through Angie's List meant that I could not book through their website online, as that required payment.

My husband said he knew the general area of the leak. Our leak was a problem of water continuously running into the french drain when the sprinkler system is on, which means we have to turn the system on when we want to use it and off again when they are finished. They said they couldn't do that and that we would have to call another company for that and they only found leaks when the area was wet. We feel their ad was very misleading. I called them concerning this matter and was told no refund.
Description of Work: none. In their ad they said they find leaks.

I appreciated the professionalism of the techs who arrived on site. They made most of the necessary repairs but unfortunately missed a few sprinkler heads (there were a lot). Part of one of my zones had a flow issue and instead of recommending they fix it themselves ($175/hr) they suggested either DIY or hired help because the work did not required their expertise. With a little sweat I was able to fix the problem and save a little money as well. Bottom line, It was an above average experience, but I wish they would have looked a little harder for the sprinkler heads that were missed. Pros: Punctual arrival and got straight to work. Was very knowledgeable regarding irrigation systems. Found a problem area within one of my zones. Cons: Did not service all sprinkler heads.

I am extremely happy with the outcome of the repair that Double Eagle completed for me. Initially Double Eagle was coming out for a warranty repair on a broken pipe which they generously offered to cover free of charge despite my being past the warranty date. Upon inspecting the line in my yard they found that the thread of the pipe was impossible to get out of the back-flow DCVA valve because it was rusted through. This was easily apparent as it was 50 years old and apparently not up to current code. I spoke to the owner on the phone and he discounted the price for me since I didn't know I was going to have an expense this large when I initially called them out for a broken pipe. They rescheduled their other jobs today so they could begin work on it immediately and within 3 hours had finished all of the above mentioned work. Justin and the other technician were both very nice and professional, they worked hard and fast, and the end result looks great. They did a very good clean up job. No one likes to have a large/unexpected expense, but on older homes we all know that everything has a usable lifespan and will eventually need replacing. I'm happy to recommend Double Eagle to my neighbors as they have always been honest and followed the Golden Rule when doing repairs for me.
Description of Work: Replaced a 50 year old back-flow that was rusted out, replaced the plastic box that houses it, back-filled dirt, replaced grass, put gravel under new box and inside a few inches of the bottom of the new box, and replaced a sprinkler head that had broken.

It was fine. I just wasn't overly impressed I mean they did what they were scheduled to do which was like an overall sprinkler check up and there was a repair that the did fix which was fine.
Description of Work: I use Double Eagle Sprinkler for lawn irrigation services. They did because we discovered another problem and they gave me the break down for that and I opted for to have it repaired while they were here.

Service technician arrived around 1 hour after time scheduled. I had to call the technician to find out he was running behind - I received no call. Technician was at my house for around 15-20 minutes before telling me that my system was not currently serviceable and would need extensive repairs. I asked him for a quote on repairs and he mentioned he was not qualified to give estimates. Owner called me the following Monday to ask for $85 payment. He apologized for the technician not being able to give a quote, and called someone while I was waiting on the phone to give me a rough estimate. Overall, I was not impressed with the company, and I definitely do not feel that I received $85 worth of services.

I was impressed with the water conservation they touted so I called for an estimate on a new install and was quickly called for an appointment. The salesman was friendly and seemed to know irrigation. I accepted the bid and gave half payment in September of 2015. It was relayed to me my project was 4-5 on the list and they are about a 4 weeks out. Texas saw lots of heavy ran which delayed the install but I never received ANY calls to inform me. I gave the benefit of doubt and waited ANOTHER month. I called assuming I had been taken, but the owner/manager(?) confirmed they are delayed do to weather. I explained if they could contact me to keep me up to date. Another month goes by and I make another call and hear the same story. They are behind and I am still in the same spot. I mentioned I feel like I'm getting the run around and worried my money is gone. The manager/owner explained as in the previous call they still have to get the permit and I will get an email when they come to 'flag' the property for utility lines. Fast forward to Jan 2016 from September (still no communication), but this time I noticed some irrigation supplies left on the property. I had no clue. I never got a call. No email and no contact of when they will install. few days go by and surprise! I get a knock on my door. My weekend off where I have many things planned is ruined. The crew is here to install. I know it couldn't be the install crew's fault but now I was forced to reschedule all of my appointments and sit home for two days. The crew worked hard in the cold and at the end explained how to function the control panel. I hope the company follows up on warranty work as it came with 3 years, but based on the lack of communication - the office is not being manage properly. I feel like I could have also gotten a better deal on the bid. After the install, I didn't even get a follow up call to see how the install went and/or if I had any questions or problems. Bad customer service for being uncommunicative. I hope I don't have problems with it.

Job was not complete during the first appointment as I found a leak after the technician left. Scheduled a 2nd appointment and was advised that I would be charged for the 2nd appointment since sometimes additional leaks appear after initial repairs. I didn't like it, but accepted that explanation. Appointment was scheduled for 5-7pm on a Tuesday. The tech called that morning and asked if he could come early, around 11:30am. I was not available, but was able to make arrangements for someone else to meet him. She waited for 2 hours and he did not show or call. I called him and he said he was just about to call me and tell me he was running late (2 hours later!). At that point he said he would come during the originally scheduled time 5-7pm but it would be 6:30pm or later. I told hime to call me if it would be later than 6:30pm. He did not call. He did not show up. I emailed the owner with these details. He did not call or return my email. Instead he just scheduled me for another appointment without consulting me about my availability. I received an automated email with the new appointment details. I emailed back asking if anyone had tried to call or email to confirm that I was actually available at that time and no one responded. The same tech did actually show up on time for the 3rd appointment. He did not apologize or even mention that he stood me up previously. He did the needed work and charged me an additional $60+. I emailed the owner again and told him that the $60 was coming at a very expensive cost to his reputation. Again, no response. Don't bother doing business with this company. There are many others who handle their business in a professional manner and are able to handle mistakes (we all make them!) professionally and graciously.

Description of Work: Scheduled an appointment two weeks out. I took the time off as they were supposed to show up between 9-11am. At 10:45 they called and said they had to reschedule and wanted the appointment another week out. Totally unacceptable.

Made appointment last Friday via website. Was same day service which seemed a little odd given the time of year. Received a call back saying that I should not have been given that option on the site because the tech was booked all day. No big deal...rescheduled for today. Jason left a message for me at 9 am. Called back early afternoon after getting out of meetings at work and he informed me that my appointment time was 5-7. I was scheduled by the office for 3-5. Because I was going to be home and Jason called to let me know things were behind I accepted the later time slot. It is now 7:30 and no is here or has called. I called Jason at 7:00 and his phone said his mailbox was full. Left message at main number for status. No word. Will be using another company.

It went well. Clinton was running a little late but called ahead to let us know. Once there, he was very thorough, found several issues that need to be addressed and I would say went a little beyond what I would call a 'tune-up'. All much appreciated. I wouldn't hesitate to use Clinton and Double Eagle again in the future.
