The electrician did look at the electrical panel which another company had said had to be replaced and said he did not see any significant problems but did point out several outlets in the kitchen were out of code as the proximity to water required that they be grounded. Overall very satisfactory - B+ if possible! MW

he did an estimate for the work to be performed. He was hired just to perform part of the estimate which he did willing. He called about 30 minutes before arriving both times (estimate and work) so that I could meet with him and discuss things before the work was done. Did excellent job and knew what he was doing. I would use Arrow Electric again in the future.

Eric arrived on time and the company called ahead of time to let me know he was coming soon. He was very professional and fixed everything in less than an hour. It was a bit pricey to pay for the diagnostic, but at the end it all works and it's a job very well done.

Changed out all of my wall switches except for the last one which gave me trouble.Called one company and they wanted 110.00 for a service call.Called Arrow electric and took advantage of their free service call for Angies List. Clint came out the same day and connected the wires as they should be connected.He was professional and in uniform. Performed a safety check.while he was here.

Eric checked the two breaker boxes looking for the reason my electric hot water heater was not receiving power. Turns out the electrician that set up the outside breaker box several years ago took shortcuts that resulted in shutting down the entire box when a 220 outlet in the studio malfunctioned. This also shut off the electricity to the hot water heater, which was rerouted from the inside breaker box to the outside breaker box. The 220 outlet in the studio was hidden behind a full full shelving unit in the studio, so was identified but not investigated because the shelving unit needed to be emptied and moved. That outlet had never been used, so I wonder if the original electrician had ever tested it. Eric approached the initial problem in a very systematic way. He identified the problem even though the problem source could not be found. After looking for every 220 outlet on my property the problem source was still not found. I knew there should be a 220 outlet in the studio but we could not see where it was. Eric persisted and eventually located it behind the shelving unit. I will have Eric return to fix the outlet when the shelving unit is moved and the 220 outlet is exposed to be worked on. I found Arrow Electric very good to work with. They sent me an email confirming the time frame the electrician would be at my house. Eric called when he was on the way. Eric explained before he started how he would work and the cost. He worked very systematically and discovered the problem. He explained the cause of the problem so I would know how to avoid losing power to the hot water heater should there be power problems. I definitely recommend Arrow Electric and Eric.

The repair was under warranty that is why it did not cost me anything. The wires from the light of our outdoor arch were burned. Although it was not their fault they still came to fix it. Absolutely, I would continue to use them again in the future. I have nothing but a good experience with their office staff. They are courteous and very responsive to my inquiries. Their technician named Alberto who was very courteous, intelligent and hardworking. He has been to our house about 3 times and he was very nice to us.

We had smoke coming out of one of our electrical outlets. In a rush, I called a well-known electrical company in our area who came out and fixed the switch. In doing that, they noticed that our breaker panel was unrated and one that was known to cause issues. Since we had the burning outlet, they suggested we replace it and gave me an estimate. The estimate was so large, I called Arrow to get a second opinion. I had found them on Angies List. David at Arrow explained what was going on with the breaker panel and walked me through the estimate I got from the other company. He explained that half the work they were charging me for was work that Arrow includes in their replacement of the breaker box. He also said that one large part of the job (replacing the meterbox) was likely not necessary, but he would be able to see when he arrived. Eric at Arrow came out and spent the entire day doing the work. Though I wasn't home, he did everything as well I could see and he was incredibly thorough in checking the switches before he left. The amazing part was when the city electrical inspector came. The inspector was 2.5 hours past when I thought he would be there, but David waited the entire time to make sure that the inspection happened. He knew that it would be a problem if he left, though there was no way that he could really know when the inspector would arrive. He was very friendly with me, and when the inspector got there, he took him around quickly. We do need to have more work done to pass code, but that was because the code had changed very recently. That work will not cost me anything more as it was part of the general work for the box. And, at the end, the cost was HALF of what the other company was going to charge me, and I feel i got great work and great service. I will absolutely recommend them and use them in the future.

I called Arrow Electric to set up and appointment. When I told them I lived in DeSoto, they said I was outside of their service area. Their ad says they serve Dallas County. DeSoto is in Dallas County. If they only serve parts of Dallas County, they should state it in their advertising.

We thought some lights were flickering whenever we plugged in the vacuum cleaner, which could have been a safety issue. Also wanted one GFCI unit checked. Eric checked our electric panel & found no safety issue, the lights dimmed but didn't flicker. He replaced a GFCI unit with a new one. He was very professional & knowledgeable. Service scheduled between 12-2 pm. Eric called at 1:30 pm to let us know he was on the way. Very much appreciated his call!

Ask for Chad & Ray. First of all, I had an electrician scheduled to work on Saturday and he never showed up. I called Arrow on Saturday and told them my situation. They scheduled me for Monday morning. Chad & Ray came and these two guys are a real team. They worked together and got every thing I needed done for my kitchen remodel in just 5 1/2 hours. In addition, to the kitchen work, they cleaned up an old fuse box on my back patio left over from an old hot tub. They were very courteous, and professional. Thanks to Ray for crawling around in my nasty attic.

David was very helpful, courteous, and professional. Ended up going with another Angie's List provider who offered a slightly better price and Angie's List discount and a timeframe for completion that worked better for my schedule. David came out to do the estimate on relatively short notice after having given some ball park figures over the phone. I would certainly consider Arrow for future electrical needs.

After speaking with a rep on the phone, they were able to send an electrician / sales man that same day to my mother in laws house. I was very impressed about that. The gentlemen was very polite. We told him the outlet in the garage petered out on us and thought it had to be replaced. After looking at the electrical box and seeing everything was alright, it turned out it was connected to a GFI switch in the bathroom. So he hit the reset button and it was fixed. We are very happy up until this point. This is the part why I can not give this company an overall A rating. It started with the "diagnostic charge" they said it would be $197 worse case scenario but could drop all the way down to $99 ($197 if work had to be done (ie following lines in the attic) down to $99 if it's something minor). The initial price was over $200. REALLY! After discussing the diagnostic charge of $197 he wanted to charge us and the work done, we feel it should have been the $99 diagnostic fee. No repairs were preformed other than pushing a reset button. SO after some discussions we ended up paying close to $140. This included some gasoline charge, diagnostic fee and a senior citizen discount. Since Angie's members get the service fee waived, I honestly feel like we were being up charged to recoup some or all of that fee. Another reason why I can't give an A rating is because the GFI switch he pushed the button to reset the power is still tripping. We don't know why, we're not electricians, I would have thought the diagnostic that was performed would have been able to find the problem. The only saving grace I could say is that he was willing to understand our point of view and met us in the middle. I think having a price range for various services preformed would alleviate pricing issues down the road. So to recap all the individuals we spoke to over the phone were very nice and professional and we understand it's a business so trying to sell or recommend more products during a service call is to be expected but I feel the pricing got out of hand, the GFI switch is still tripping. We feel like my mother-in-law and myself were trying to be taken for a "ride".
