My house was broken into the day before I hired Richard to fix my door jam. I didn't sleep well the night of the break in and I began making early morning phone calls the next day to have my door fixed and my home secured. Needless to say I was up and making phone calls earlier than businesses were open. To my surprise I received a call back from Richard at RHM right away without me even leaving a message. I told him my story about the break in and he made time to come fix my door the very same day. Richard was very sensitive to the fact that I was nervous about having someone come to my home after having my sense of security taken from me and made sure to call before he arrived at my home and described himself and his truck. He arrived promptly and got to work right away. The estimate he gave me was very reasonable and he did the work exactly as he described in the exact amount of time he said it would take. He walked me through each step so I knew what he was doing. Once he was finished you couldn't even tell the door had ever been kind kicked in. Plus he added more locks so I feel more secure than ever. One positive thing to come out of the break in is I've found a handy man I can trust.

I got estimates, and the work was completed in 3 days the next week.

He called with information when he received it and always confirmed prices with me. He made sure the doors were level and fit perfectly and would not leave until they were. I am appreciative of the high quality work received from RHM Construction Services. They provided various "handyman services" (e.g. plumbing, electrical, carpentry) at my house, each with excellent results. I called on a Saturday and made an appointment for Tuesday at 9 a.m. Richard was punctual which I appreciated; however, I was told there would be a minimum $25.00 call out/travel charge and $50.00 for every hour thereafter if any work would be performed. I was told that he typically estimates a little high so that I wouldn't incur any sticker shock at the end of the repair work. The estimate was $2000. This was too much of a gamble for him to not be able to give me an estimate other than it would probably be no more than $2000. In the end I was charged a total of $75, $50 to pull away a very small section (approx 18" x 24" x 1/4") of hardi-board siding to reveal a rotted beam plus the $25.00 call out charge. This took no more than 5 minutes yet it cost me $50 and he left the beam exposed. I'm not complaining about the $25 I just don't feel that the extra $50 was justified. I was working so I entrusted my aunt and uncle to meet Richard. As my aunt and uncle met with Richard they sensed that he was very over zealous to get the job and they got a very uneasy feeling from him.

Every thing went as planned and it looks like the house was built with the new installation. I am totally satisfied and can't wait to have him do my next project.

Richard always call the day before to confirm his appointment and will call if he is running late. He is prepared and is knowledgable about what he does. He even puts up with my barking dogs. He does each task until it is finished. He put the skirting around my house last year in the 100+ heat. He did ask if he could come back and finish because the heat was so bad. We made a later time and he was there to finish it. When the gardeners pushed in part of it, he came back and reinforced the skirting and it looks great. He also put up a storage unit for me and built a frame for it so it was level and stable. He never cuts corners to do a job faster. He makes sure he does it to top quality.

I haven't used the service for few months but he does a great job! In fact I had a plan to go on and put some good words for him online. He does good work! He does it quick! He's knows what he's doing and he's honest. I love him!

Great! He's here on time and even fixed something we didn't ask him to for free, because he had extra home in his hour.

I first met Richard when he worked for Handyman Matters. I had called several different companies and got three people to come out and give me bids on the work needed to be done. Two of the people / cos never got back with me. When I set something up with Handyman Matters after checking Angie's List, a man came out and had to leave after his mother became ill. He called Richard to come out and do the work. Richard responded immediately. He was willing to come out the next day, which was a Sunday. Richard was very professional and knowledgeable. He was honest about the things that were worth doing to this particular house and what would not be cost effective. He did everything from plumbing, to electrical, to carpentry. We were very satisfied with his work, his work ethic, and his overall attitude and willingness to do all sorts of miscellaneous things most handymen are not equipped to take on. We found that specialists like electricians and plumbers are very limited to their expertise and many times could not complete a job because a piece of that job required something extra (eg. the electrician installed the wiring for more lighting but didn't do the sheetrock repair.) Richard does it all. I'm glad we found him. He stopped working for Handyman Matters recently and has branched out on his own. This means his services are even more reasonable to his customers. We will continue to use him.
