Description of Work: ELITE INSPECTION GROUP performed an inspection on my New Home. They were very nice and punctual on the phone, and they worked with me on a very tight timeline. For this, I was grateful. However, the quality of the inspection was not very good. This company has many inspectors, and perhaps the inspector assigned to me was not as skilled as their other inspectors. I really don't know? I was out of town, and was relying on the property inspection. About 4 days after the inspection I arrived, and found some large things that He missed. The big item was the hardwood floors in an area of my home, they were buckling from some water damage and starting to actually raise up. I also had a Bathroom cabinet that was installed improperly, and nails were actually protruding from the cabinet facing the tub, it was actually a dangerous item, and very obvious (Very hard to miss). This shows me the inspector didn't fully look at the side of the (brand new) cabinet. There were a few other times that just a "person who is handy" would not have missed, but they did. I ended up having to get all new hardwood floors in the area they missed, and have my bathroom cabinet replaced. The hardwood floors were really major because I was already partially moved in, and they had to come in and remove the old floors, then I had to repaint...etc. It was a real mess, and something that could have been prevented. So while they were very nice and professional, the quality was poor. I've purchased several homes, and I understand that inspectors aren't perfect. However the items they missed were extremely strange given their significance.

Mike went above and beyond expectations. He was extremely detailed and thorough. He was very responsive to emails and calls. He provided a full report within hours after completing the inspections - I did not expect them until the next day. I scheduled my appointment with Mike Kemper and thought he will do the inspection. I wasn't told that Jonathan will provide the service until he showed up on the appointed time. The inspection was for 2 story new construction 3300+ sq ft house in Frisco. Jonathan is in inspection industry for about 2 years only. If a 5 to 10+ years experienced veteran inspector would have done this inspection, he would have found actual issues which Jonathan missed on his part. 1. Inspector found that 2nd floor AC does not have sufficient temperature differential readings between inlet and outlet. But the actual issue was that AC unit outside had a leakage and was low on puron. He would have at least found the leakage, so I could have fixed before closing. 2. He did not report any issues in Refrigerator. But after closing I discovered that Ice Maker water valve had a leakage to fill water for the ice maker. Jonathan was punctual and was not in rush. But I was not satisfied with the quality of the service based on the issues he missed to find during his inspection. Try someone else if you are looking for a quality inspection.

We would like to respond to your comments and see if there is anything we can assist with in resolving these for you. What separates us here at Elite Inspection Group from a smaller one man operation is we are a multi-inspector company offering specialized services like measuring the foundation of your home. We do apologize that you were not informed which inspector would be completing your inspection. In regards to your A/C, on page 11, Jonathan did recommend the home builder address his findings with the temperature differentials or have the unit serviced by a licensed HVAC technician. (Not sure what else we can do). In regards to your refrigerator, we hate to hear that you had a leak, unfortunately a built-in refrigerator or stand alone refrigerator is not part of the TREC (Texas Real Estate Commission) Standards of Practice which regulate home inspectors. The refrigerator is not an item that we inspect during the home inspection. I hope the builder was able to resolve this issue for you. Let us know if we can assist with anything further. The inspector, Jonathan, was wonderful! He was a little late, but once he was there he was not rushed. He was very thorough. My husband and I stayed for the entire inspection. The inspector explained what he was doing and what he was looking for or not looking for. He told us what things needed to be repaired immediately. I would strongly recommend Jonathan and this inspection company to all my family and friends.

I had a home inspection done on a property that my wife and I are purchasing. Scheduling 2 days out was no problem. The inspector, Jonathan, was excellent and very thorough. He performed a complete TREC inspection and zip level measurements. I also had a termite inspection done which they contract through a pest control company. The report was detailed and very helpful. Inspection and full report was completed in about 5 hours.

They showed up on time and did an awesome inspection. In showing the inspection to other people, they were amazed and the quality and depth of the inspection. He took clear pictures and the descriptions were very helpful. He gave us information that helped us to not move forward on buying the home because of electrical problems with the AC system. We have already scheduled him to look at another home we have made an offer on.

Fantastic from start to finish. Great communication. I called Mike before purchasing through Angie's List to make sure they had availability. We only had a 7 day option period on the new home so we needed to move fast. I called Mike on Sunday and he was able to schedule us for the the following Wednesday afternoon. He even scheduled it around our work schedules so both my husband and I could be there at the end. Mike reviewed his report with us in detail (pictures were included for most of the deficient areas and others he showed us in person) and answered all of our (many) questions. One of the issues found was a slow leak on the fresh water supply. Mike said he will come back to reinspect it at no charge if the seller agrees to fix it prior to closing. He emailed us the report before he even left the property. Mike also provided the termite inspection report that was included in our package. Overall we are very satisfied. Mike was very professional and knowledgeable. We would definitely do business with him again if we need a home inspector in the future.

Mr Kemper was punctual and very efficient in his inspection of the property. He provided a detailed verbal and visual overview of his findings while we were on site. Mike at Elite Inspection Group, LLC was my home inspector. He arrived on time, was very thorough (literally checked every light switch, electrical plug, faucet, fixture etc.) I was also impressed with what he found that was missing such as screws on door hinges and under our granite counter top. We have yet to find anything wrong with the property that he didn't already note on his report! Outstanding.

Our real estate agent provided a list of home inspection service providers. We chose Kemper Home Inspections from the list and hoped for a good outcome. The company owner, Mike Kemper, performed the inspection. I escorted him for the entire 4-hour inspection process. He was thorough and took the extra effort to look beyond the obvious. His inspection report was definitive and included lots of photographs. If you need a home inspection, this is the company to call.
