Description of Work: Replaced waste water drain lines under house. Took 19 days when originally told 4-5 days. There were a couple days of rain but I feel it took too long. Workers tracked mud throughout house and onto carpets and walls and trashed front yard with their soft drink cans, etc. I had to put down tarps on my floors, which I would have expected them to have done first. We complained about the mess to management and they cleaned up the yard and put down plastic on the floors. The Project took so long it killed the grass in the front yard due to their tarp with the mud covering the yard for 19 days. After we complained about our dead grass the company reduced the bill by $300. We originally hired them to do a camera inspection of the piping under the house after completing foundation work on house. The master plumber who came out and ran a camera told us he had a video we could see showing the damage. Unfortunately, we hired based on their representations but asked to see the video and were told they would give it to us. Several days went by and we asked again to see the video and was told a miscommunication had occurred and there was never a video even though we had the text from the master plumber confirming he had a video he would give us, so I don't know how there was a miscommunication. I feel like we paid too much and it took to long. I gave them a C rating because I don't think this company is a bad company and I do think they tried to address these problems after we raised them but they shouldn't have happened and I believe the particular master plumber that was on our job was not responsive to us and did not monitor his crew very closely which required us to frequently go higher up the chain at Sam's to get an answer or problems addressed. On July 4th we discovered a leak slowly flooding our master closet so we called Sam's back out since they had done the work below the house and we believed it may be related to their work. The Master plumber who arrived on the holiday promptly was attentive and quickly found the source of the leak so atleast we could stop the flooding. My take on This company is that I do believe they do have some good plumbers but I feel we unfortunately got the wrong one on our job making it an unpleasant experience for all.

He seemed to know what he was doing because there was another plumber that had installed our water fountain, and he had installed it wrong. So that’s why we were having so much trouble with it. The price was good.
Description of Work: We use Sam The Plumber quite a bit because we own three businesses. We had a water fountain that was messed up and so he repaired the water fountain the last time that he came.

+ 1 moreSam came out and gave us a very good estimate on the work given other quotes we had received. His crew came out and performed the work; which included cutting a portion of the breezeway slab out, trenching under the rest of the breezeway slab and an additional sidewalk area to get to the main line in the front yard, replumbing in the kitchen and laundry areas, and replacing the dirt and concrete removed during the process. He also handled all of the permits and city inspections without any issues. I would highly recommend him and plan on using him again for any plumbing issues that we have.
Description of Work: Rerouted kitchen and laundry area drain lines. Our home is old and the under the slab drain lines have started to leak. The ones from the kitchen and laundry area were rerouted outside the house to the main line in the yard. As part of this they redid the vent lines and the plumbing under the kitchen sink.

+ -1 moreSam The Plumber didn't know what he was doing. He used the wrong types of pipes coming out of the wall. He put the faucet on the water tap, I couldn't get water out of it and it wouldn't fit because it was too long, I had to cut it off. The ones of the shower had to be cut off because he put it on 6 inches. I have taken a picture and shown it to other plumbers and to other people and they have said that he didn't know what he was doing. Right now I have problems with some bubbles coming out of the tub drain so I haven't sat down long enough to determine what else is going on before I call you. I haven't sat down long enough to call him to tell him about it. The plumber told me how he was going to make the shower pan and what he was going to do, when I went to pick up the shower stand and watched the demo and everything, I said, my doesn't work like that, he didn't finish it so I had to have someone else come in and finish off the shower pan. All that he did was put the tub in, the hole in the wall and change my copper piping from two faucets to 1 faucet so I want my money back from him. He cost me more money. The copper pipe that he put doesn't have thread on it, so I had to get someone else to cut the pipe, put an extension on it so that I can screw on the faucets. I don't know what's going on inside so when the tenants take a shower, bubbles come out of the tub overflow. The price was too high for what he did. It took him over two weeks to do it. He didn't know what pipe to use for the shower head so he was not professional. He didn't protect the tub when working. I could not put the shower head on to the pipe he provided. I can't even get the tub faucet on. The tenants moved in the 1st of March and we are still trying figure out what is wrong. I had 3 plumbers come in and give me bids for the job and they varied tremendously. There is a code that you have to go by and if he used the wrong pipe, he didn't know the code and I had purchased the faucets for both bathrooms and the shower head, so that the plumber coming in would know exactly what was going on and what he did tells me that he didn't look at them and try it. That property is in Houston and I live in San Antonio and last weekend was my first weekend this year at home because every weekend, I would live work, pick up my dog and drive to Houston for the weekend working on that house. They don't work the weekend so I have no control what happens during the week. It took him 2 weeks to do it while he had said it would take 2 days because that held everything up because I couldn't get the tiles up and I couldn't get it painted and I couldn't get my tenants in on time.

Description of Work: They removed our gas water heater from the utility room. They replaced it with an electric water heater and moved it all into the garage. New heater, stand and re-plumbing. They also moved a water line in our bathroom from in front of the wall to behind the wall (we had removed the sheetrock).

+ -1 moreWe bought a house and requested the pump for the jacuzzi in the master bath be repaired prior to closing. This could not be completed prior to closing on the house due to the pump needing to be ordered. We were left with the exterior pulled off the tub and a hole in the wall for two weeks while we waited to hear from Sam the plumber. After we called numerous times we finally got a response that someone would be out to finish the job within a few days. When someone did show up the work was not up to the standard that I would expect. The access panel for the wall is sloppy and uneven leaving a jagged edge around it. He had to ask if he needed to put the panel on the tub back on as if he didn't know his company took it off. That was also done hastily and sloppy. There is caulk every where, leaving me to clean up the mess. I didn't hire Sam the Plumber and his crew but based on my experience I would not be calling them again.

They were respectful, courteous, patient,worked hard and made sure that when they had to shut off the water that I knew ahead of time and that they got it back on as soon aspossible. They were careful not to let my dogs get out of the gate when they were working in the backyard. I think the work they did was perfect. The difference between my plumbing before and after is unbelievable. I am extremely pleased with Chris and all the work that he and his men did for me. I would advise anyone needing any plumbing done to call Sam the Plumber and ask for Chris.
Description of Work: Replaced all plumbing under the bathroom and kitchen in a house built in 1953. Replaced water line from meter and all the pipes in the attic and in the walls.
