I called on Monday and was able to get an appointment for Tuesday afternoon. Mark called and came as planned, was polite and professional and was able to quickly repair my washing machine.

Very happy with their installation, very professional installation.

Captains was reasonably quick, did not make a mess, and was reasonably priced. I have used him again to replace thermostat, and will use again if needed

He came right when the appointment time was. He quickly diagnosed the problem and had the hose with him. Very professional from start to finish.

I called them in the evening, and they were out to my home the next morning. The technician was very prompt, professional, and punctual. They were able to fix the issue the first time. I would use them again.

The only problem was that he was late because he got stuck on another job. But when he got there he finished up that day. Bottom line is that the AC works better than ever, more efficient with lower power bills and less humidity. Thank you captain! I'll only use him from now on.

My husband called several different companies to come out and fix our dryer this morning and all could not come out until next Monday or Tuesday. I looked on Angie's List and found Captain's Cooling and Technical Services, my husband called them and again they were not going to be able to come out until Monday. My husband told them that that was fine but if he found someone else to come out sooner he would call and cancel. Few minutes later Captain's called back and stated that someone would possibly be out later this afternoon, great! Well around an hour later we had a call that someone was on their way. The gentleman came out looked at the dryer told my husband that the igniter went out and it was very common with the type of dryer we have. The gentleman fixed it, put the dryer back where it went and also cut the vent hose down to fit better behind the dryer, we didn't ask him to do that. He was very knowledgable, very polite and was here for less than an hour. I will definitely use Captain's again and I highly recommend them.er

Captain's Cooling & Technical Services seemed very solid, very knowledgeable. He did something extra. He went up in to the attic and looked at my dryer vent. He found a blockage that the Dryer people - who had already been - didn't find. He did everything just right.

Mark called right away. He came out promptly to look at the dishwasher. He fixed it quickly without any mess at all. Mark was knowledgeable and gave me lots of lots of good information on how to keep my appliance operating in good condition. I would recommend them, as Mark was curteous and very professional.

They came out to diagnose the problem with my stove top. He called with a quote the next day. The stove top needed a new spark igniter. The service call cost $69. This amount was applied toward the total repair charge of $257.00. The repairman came out the following day and installed the new igniter. It remains to be seen whether or not the repair will last. I guess one of the reasons I feel the charges are too expensive is because I had the repair done by another person about 6 months ago and the repair only lasted about a week. The other reason I feel the charges were a little excessive is that I looked up the price of the part on line and it retails for about $25. That means the balance ($227) was all labor.

So the first experience was great. I picked these guys based on Angie's list reviews. So I had a dead refrigerator on a weekend. I call and got voice mail, but a prompt response on Monday, and he came to fix it right away. The cost was fair, he was quick, prompt and courteous. On that visit I told him our washer was going funny with the controls. He asked for the model and told me he would send me a quote. Never did, then in early January it went belly up. I called again and said the control board was gone and we had no washer, this was a voice mail. We tried phone tag a few times for a couple weeks and on one of them he asked for the serial number of the washer, I thought good he is doing something about it. But then that was it, he gave up. I waited another two weeks while leaving more voice mails and no response. So in the end, I finally had to go online an research our washer and parts myself. I found the part on ebay, bought it for $120 and installed it myself and got our washer working. Talk about unprofessional, leaving me hanging like that. He even told me he was a Maytag repairman at some point. Given how easy it was for me to figure this out, can't an appliance repairman do it also? My recommendation? If you need an appliance repaired and can wait to get the parts, do it your self, it is all online. Don't be strung along like we were, with dirty clothes for over a month thanks to this bloke!

Mark called to let me know he was running late even before he was due to arrive. When he did arrive he was very deliberate with his examination of the refrigerator. He explained everything he did. He could have used some very expensive parts to repair the part that seemed to be the problem. He decided to defrost the old part and try the old part again. It worked and I am a happy customer.

Mark came to my house and looked at the oven. He gave me all of my options and did not try to talk me into an expensive alternative. He was professional, honest and totally trustworthy. I have used this company before and have always been impressed with the level of service.

They did a good job, they were really professional. They were also fast and and prepared by having the parts on hand.

Our 12yo side by side had been leaking puddles (large puddles) of water onto our kitchen floor. Husband said it was the end of the fridge, I said "no way!" Got on Angie's List and found Captain's who had an email and great reviews. Problem was diagnosed over the phone and a general estimate given. Service man was on time, clean, and super nice. Final cost was as estimate. I felt it was definately a fair price. He also cleaned up after himself and showed me where the problem was and how to avoid another leak. Warranty on work was also a bonus for us!

Mark came out to check on my old Lady Kenmore washer and dryer. The washer had a small leak and the dryer didn't seem to be drying the clothes as well as it used to. The washer leak was due to a crack in the detergent dispenser. The part was obsolete so he couldn't repair it, but assured me that it would be fine to keep using it. The dryer could be fixed but it was really cost prohibited to repair. So, I'm going to keep using it until it dies I appreciated Mark's honesty and his willingness to service the appliances at 5:00 pm so I didn't have to take off work.

Extraordinary! Mark was friendly, courteous, efficient, on time, cleaned up after the repairs, and made suggestions for care of refrigerator. Reasonable fee. The best repairman I've ever experienced.

Marks honesty on the price of repairing my lemon of a washer was appreciated. Most repairmen would just come out and charge some extreme amount and laugh all the way to the bank. I will be now trying to dive into the world of shopping for a washer. (what a hassle)Thanks again Mark. I would definately call on my next repair.

Called and made an appointment for the next day. The repairman was someone I had used several times in the past when he had his own company. He arrived on time and knew immediately what the problem was. He had the needed part on his truck and fixed the washing machine in a timely manner. He was professional and courteous. I will use this company again, not only for large appliance repair, but also for heating and AC work.

Spoke with Mark (the appliance person), and described problems with '90's dryer, '70's (!) stove and '90's refrigerator. He arranged an appointment for the next day. Mark was on-time, diagnosed the problems with the dryer (belt) and stove (damaged element) and showed us in detail that the refrigerator did *not* need the repair we thought it did. He wrote up an estimate and discussed it with us. We accepted the estimate and he did all of the work carefully and efficiently, pointing out things as we asked him additional questions. Mark did not try to upsell us on anything. He had all of the necessary parts with him based on our phone call. We were so pleased, we asked Mark to also take a look at our "wandering" washing machine which we've had problems balancing . He quickly diagnosed the cause of our wobbling problems as being over-extended feet and worn foot pads. Mark gave us an additional estimate for the washer repair, and performed the work. He was always efficient and careful, and cleaned up after his work. Mark even gave us some tips for getting at the washer's hard-to-reach water inlet filters.
