Randy is great. He always called me promptly and was able to do an inspection on short notice (we called him on Monday late afternoon and he was able to provide the inspection Wednesday morning). He was able to determine what items need to be addressed on the systems and provide estimates for the work. We were able to negotiate with the seller to have the repairs completed, but we will definitely keep Captain's Cooling in mind when we decide to switch out the units entirely! We thought his price was fair considering he had to inspect two units in a 2-story home.

After about 5 minutes of taking the back panel off the inside of the freezer, the technician showed me the build-up of ice and said it was due to a freon leak I was told that the cost to find the leak and repair would be more than replacing the freezer. I called another refrigeration specialist and they confirmed that conclusion. Unfortunately the freezer was only 2 years old.

The office promptly returned my first voicemail message. The next day the repairman phoned me as promised that morning and scheduled the service call. He showed up on time and provided an estimate. By the next day the ice maker part was available, and the repairman phoned to schedule the installation that afternoon. Very friendly, fast and professional. I have absolutely no complaints.

On Easter Sunday, discovered my washer would not agitate or spin. The washer is 20 years old and I was afraid I'd have to buy a new one. Called Captain's first thing Monday morning and spoke with Mark Hall, owner of the company. He stated he would have someone out after lunch that same day. Jerry came out at 2:30 and within 30 minutes diagnosed the problem and had a new coupling installed. He was punctual, calling before he came to the house. He was clean and neat and very personable. If I have any appliance issues in the future, I will definitely call Captain's.

I was in the middle of traveling with 2 days between trips. OH NO - my freezer was not working when I returned home from trip #1. All the food was soft and ice cubes were melted. I frantically looked to Angies List for a technician in the area. When I contacted Captains Cooling and explained my time crunch for repair, they were most cooperative and understanding. The following day Larry arrived to tackle the problem. In less than 5 minutes (and before that on the phone) the problem had been diagnosed and a plan of repair put into effect. Larry checked on availability of parts, left to pick them up, returned and fixed the freezer. When I left the next morning for my trip I had ice cubes and knew the freezer would be fine.

The next day it stopped working again. Came out the next day, replaced part at no charge & no service fee. |I was so pleased with the service AND the freezer is still working.

Provider came out and diagnosed problem with front-loading LG washing machine. Pump had gone out. Provider replaced the pump and checked to make sure that the washing machine was still level. Very responsive, could have come out on the same day I called (Friday) but I was not available, so he came out the following Monday morning. Washing machine runs like new again. Outstanding service.

A/C was not cooling and they diagnosed the problem as a faulty evaporator coil. The short-term fix of adding freon was done. They helped get the coil (which was under the warranty date, but never registered by the previous installer) replaced as a warranty issue. The original service call fee ($150) was waived in consideration of the future call to replace the coil. The coil was ordered within a few days and the later service was completed in a prompt manner. The employee, Richard, was courteous, helpful, and prompt.

I called Mark and told him the problem over the phone and he seemed to know exactly what the problem was. He said he wanted to check to see if he could get the parts quickly and give me a call back. He called back in a few hours and said the parts were available. We set an appointment and he said he would call about 15 minutes before, which he did. The work was done quickly and correctly. He was great to deal with and would definiately use him again and recommend him to others.

Although Mark responded to my call promptly, when I explained that some wires had come loose in the freezer and were catching on a tray preventing the door from opening properly, he advised that he doesn't work on Samsung refrigerators and could not recommend anyone who does. Since nothing is broken, really - just wires that need to be taped up somehow (inside the freezer box), I am disappointed that this somehow requires only a Samsung-authorized repairman.

I have only great things to say about Mark. As requested he called ahead of time to let me know he was on his way. I work and this was a big help to me, so I could be sure to get home in time. I explained to Mark that over the weekend water was pouring out the bottom of my washing machine. He checked the hoses and ran the machine through its cycles 2-3 times. He thoroughly examined the machine. It didn't leak a single drop. Other than feeling somewhat foolish, I was thrilled that I didn't need to go out and buy a new washing machine. I gladly paid what I consider a very reasonable service charge. Mark let me know that if it should start leaking again within the next 90 days to give him a call and that I would not be charged for another service call. Thank you for being so professional.

He attempted to find part, found it unavailable and there was no prediction that it would be, so I decided to replace washer. On time, very professional and I would use again if need arises.

Even though this was not an emergency, Captain's provided same-day service. I called in the morning, the repairman was there that afternoon at the time promised, diagnosed the problem, fixed it, and provided the service at a very reasonable rate. The service technician was very friendly and professional. He knew exactly what the problem was and how to fix it. This company is EXCELLENT. I will definitely use them again the next time I need help with an appliance repair or my home's heating/cooling system.

Jerry was on time and finished within 30 minutes. When he pulled out the dryer to reattach the vent he swept up the lint on the floor. I mentioned the dryer starting on its own when the door was shut and before we set the time. He adjusted the dial. After moving the dryer back in place he moved the washing machine to be in line with the dryer. At Jerry's suggestion I placed a brick between the dryer and the wall to keep the dryer from moving back and bending the vent. My experience with this company is always great.

Gerry, the service technician, was very prompt, courteous, and professional and used his experience and knowledge of applicance repair to quickly and efficiently fix the problem. We can HIGHLY recommend Gerry and this company!

The first question Mark asked was if we had done any painting recently. As a matter of fact, we just finished painting the interior. He informed me that the smell was due to the fumes from the curing paint interacting with the gas oven, causing it to put off a smell similar to gas. He told me it could take a week or two to clear up. I contacted Captain's based on comments here in Angie's list. I'm glad I did. He diagnosed the problem over the phone and I was not charged for a service call. I promise next time I have an appliance issue, this is who I will call.

Very happy overall with the experience. Mark showed up on time, very professional and ready to get the job done. He asked a few questions about what had been going on and then started taking things apart and diagnosing the problem right away. Our washer hadn't been spinning water out very well for a while and was just getting worse, so I was anticipating a big expensive repair. As it turns out, we had some pocket stuff caught up in some drain trap thing that could've been causing the problem. Mark took the time to show us how to clean it out ourselves next time; he also took the time to run a spin cycle or two and investigate to see if anything else needed repairs. No other problems found, so we were only charged for the service call. My only complaint was that I had to call and leave a voicemail, then wait and call and leave another one a couple days later before I got a return call. But, when I finally did get a call, I was speaking directly with the repair man (not a receptionist) and able to discuss my washer problem, which I appreciated. Maybe it's just me, but hearing "I'll be there Thursday morning" feels better than "We'll have 'someone' out Thursday morning" - that alone made it worth the wait. We'll be calling Captain's first in the future should we need repairs, and recommending to our friends.

Showed up on time, did troubleshooting, told me the problem in detail and the price. Proceeded to do the repair and finished in no time.

Expected to need big repairs and only needed a part. Honest company. While waiting for the part he wired the AC so it worked until the part arrived. Outstanding.

Mark arrived early and was finished under an hour. He removed the panels to get to the hose, removed and replaced the hose. He was very efficient, neat and professional. Plus he was thoughtful to empty the old ice that had been made before our problem. I happily recommend Mark for any appliance repair.

I knew the belt needed to be replaced, but the lid switch was a surprise, but had to be done for the dryer to work correctly.

Mark arrived on time. When I talked to him on the phone and described the issue my machine was having, he told me he had an idea of what the problem was. Sure enough, after looking at the machine for a couple of minutes, the problem was just as he had guessed it was. It didn't take him to long to fix the problem and my 12 year old washing machine was working good as new! If I ever have any other issues with my applicances, I will definitely call Mark again. He was prompt, courteous, and got the job done at a reasonable price.

randy is very busy..as we live on the island..he had to make the trip over to inspect the unit...he also found another problem which he fixed on the inspection.we made an appointment for the next week when we would be home.he came with a crew and knocked out the job in about an hour....awesome!!!deffinantly will use them for air conditioner problems or appliance repair.
