"J&D was hired to remove molded wall materials and wet flooring following the storm. The owner, Mr. Don Wilkerson ask for half the estimate up front to start. I made the mistake of paying him in full. One very inexperienced hand stayed all day while the owner worked for a few minutes to get things started and then Mr. Wilkerson went away to look at other work locations. Mr. Wilkerson agreed to return to finish and bring a trailer to haul off all the wet, molded material he removed and piled on my deck. Neither of these happen. I called the owner and emailed his office for several days trying to schedule the work to be completed, while the mold was getting worse in my home. After five no shows of agreed to dates and times I had to hire someone else because the mold was now taking over my walls. Then when I ask for part of my money back and told him I was hiring another contractor, Mr. Wilkerson starting saying he had 90 days to return to complete the work and if I hired someone else I was in breach of a contract. There was nothing in writing to support this statement and he kept all my money. It should be stated J&D's Owner or his employee followed no safety procedures for working around and handling mold. Mr. Don Wilkerson cannot be trusted, stay away from him and his business!!!"

"Paid $75 Deductible through American Homeshield to sub contract Me.Rooter Plumbing Scam: Martin, with Mr. Rooter arrived & used a camera underneath the home to try & diagnose the leak issue in the laundry room. He didn't do anything else to figure out the cause of the leak. His repair quote was for $8,500 & when he was told that seemed high for the repair, he said the best he could do it for was $6,500. He immediately referred a water damage company to access the damage at no charge. That company said water damage was $2,200. We called another reputable plumber to get a second opinion & they immediately identified a cracked pipe in the P Trap and repaired all for $201. They also stated there was no major water damage. MR. Rooter conducted unethical business practices & provided fraudulent information"

"I am so upset with Abracadabra Septic Pumping. I have never written a review prior to this… I called them during the Covid1-19 pandemic lock-down. I had been feeling extremely ill for the past 3 weeks. The driver was made aware and although I had planned to not personally interact, he felt better to reschedule. We did so following a negative test on my part for the virus. They came back out to the property. I stayed inside to insure social distancing. I had never had this system pumped out and did not understand what was it entailed. I just explained that my service provider had noticed me that the system needed to be pumped out. I had been asked who serviced the system which I had passed on. The fellow pumping out the system called asking me if there was another tank. I explained that there was an original tank, but that my understanding was that it was obsolete and the aromatic system was the new system. I do not and have never had the need to understand this septic system. Someone comes out to inspect it. I am told to have it pumped out. I called a pumping company to have it pumped out. Period. I was charged $350.00 to pump out half the system. Now my service people are explaining to me that without pumping the entire system; it is money down the drain (so to speak). I will now have to call a different pumping company to pop open the lids of the two tanks I had paid Abracadabra to pump and also to dig to find the Trash Tank and Clarifier Tank that Abracadabra knows is part of the system but was too lazy and dishonest to find on their own, charging me money that I will have to pay a second time to another pumper plus the amount to complete the job. When I called Abracadabra to explain the pumping was not properly completed, they told me this was my fault because I did not tell their guy that there were 2 more chambers. As I had placed the order with their office that my service people had left me a notice to pump the aerobic septic system, it never occurred to me they needed additional instructions. It is his company’s job to make sure they send someone out that does a complete job, making sure the homeowner does not burn up their pump due to shoddy pumping. If there was a person needing to explain their were 2 more chambers; it would be the pumping company’s responsibility to clearly explain to the homeowner what the job consisted of. Why would a homeowner ask to only have half the job completed? Living in such difficult times, it would seem people would be more concerned with doing the right thing by their customers. It is sad when one comes across the opposite behavior. In my opinion this is not just shoddy work, this is completely fly by night rip off work."
