Rain Leak Solutions

We had purchased a big deal for the service, and they came out and looked at the roof and gave us a quote to fix it. I didn't hire them. It took a while to get a hold of them, and when they finally came out, I had to remind them to give me a quote, which they eventually did.

I had a roof leak that damaged a bedroom wall and baseboard. The leak was fixed and I was given a 2 year warranty on the work. A year later to the day the leak is back in the exact same place as before damaging the exact same wall and baseboard. Since there was a 2 year warranty in place I called for them to come back and relook at the leak. They told me they would call back and schedule a time to come out but of course I have not heard from them to this day. I called again a week later for them to come out and relook at the leak but was only able to leave a voice msg. Still have not heard from them. I'm in the process of looking for another repair company as I will not be using Rain Leak Solutions again.

Randy did a good job caulking and sealing the windows, chimney and deck. Within a few months, I had some water damage coming in from the door to the upper deck. I also needed some shingles replaced on my roof. he offered to repair the Sheetrock damage under his warranty and reseal the door. Problem was, his helper didn't want to go up on the roof because of the wind, and he was snowed under trying to cover all of the requests for the $69 home inspections at a time when some of his key help quit. Randy indicated that he was about ready to go out of business and get into bathroom remodeling. I had to go elsewhere to get the work finished. he can run a helluva bead of caulk though.

We had a lot of issues with his website and getting an appointment scheduled online. We were able to get the appointment scheduled over the phone. We were waiting expectantly, but he never showed up for the appointment to do the work. We had to go out of town, but upon returning to town, we found that he had not tried to contact us regarding the missed appointment. We have left several messages asking him to contact us, but have not received any further response from him. We are disappointed with type service.

after several emails from this company, asking me to be patient, I eventually called them for a refund; I left a message on their voicemail; no response.

I purchased the coupon special. I was contacted by provider that they were aware of my purchase and that they would contact me by a certain date since they were scheduling appointments so they could take care of everyone in order.Theybcalled by phone and gave optional dates of their availability. An appointment date and time was set. They showed up on time,completed the work. We were very impressed with thir timeliness and professionalism. JH

I bought the $99.00 special and asked for additional work both of which were reasonably priced. He sealed around the doors and chimney. He was prompt, did a great job, was very pleasant and helpful. I would highly recommend him.

I have rarely been so disappointed in a provider before, especially because Randy was a very nice guy when I met him. For all those people who paid $69 and didn't get any service, count your lucky stars that it wasn't more! Take a close look at his responses to negative reviews. He is full of excuses (no office manager, overbooked schedule, poor helpers, alcoholic brother) and notice that he does not accept responsibility for his actions/inactions. If you have a stubborn leak, do not look to Randy to fix it.

Patched up several areas on our retaining walls. Excellent communication with the contractor.

He had a large selection (about 20) of colors or mortar to match my existing mortar. He completed the work in four hours. He was very knowledgeable and efficient and his communication was very good and the repairs have held up and I am happy with the work he did.

This repair job was intiated with the purchase of an Angie's List deal for Masonry repair. Initially, we received several calls apologizing for the delay in coming out to assess the work needed because of the unexpected volume of response to the coupon. Once they came out to see what we needed done, we again waited several weeks for the work to be scheduled. The guy that did came out was very friendly and made legitimate recommendations (we needed caulking repaired and weren't planning on doing that, too - but agreed that it needed to be done). The caulking work was fine (at masonry repair rates). The masonry work that we needed - primarily grouting - was performed by the guy that did the quote and a "helper". Everything looked fine visually, when they left, but when I went around the house to inspect a little more closely, First think I saw was that a lot of areas weren't repaired. I paid hourly so that didn't bother me too much. But then I noticed a lot of sand around the brick where some of the repairs were made. When I touched the "repaired" areas, I realized that some of the fill was in fact not grout but literally just filled with sand! And another area had already fallen out. I immediately called back and had him come back out. Got an apology but no explanation other than he said it must have been the helper that did the area with the sand filling?? It LOOKED like he took the sand out, and replaced with grout but I wasn't there to watch and was skeptical. 2 months later, some of the areas that had the "sand repair" are still soft and pliable, and some areas are already wearing away, so I seriously question if it was done correctly. The other irritant is that I was quoted an hourly rate for the time over and above what had been purchased with the coupon. I was fine with that quote, assuming that the "expert" was going to do all of the work. The "helper" was billed at the same hourly rate as the primary guy and obviously didn't provide anywhere near the same level of expertise/skills, if in fact he did anthing besides the caulking. Very disappointing for my first Angie's List highly rated recommendation experience.

The front roof still leaks! I have tryed to get Randy back out to the house many times to no avail to fix what we paid for the first time .

As we walked through my yard it appeared the tech was selling additional services from the get go. He increase the watering time. Said I had to sprinklers that were not working to their maximum so recommended replacement which he did. He informed me that my rain shut off sensor was not working and he could not repair it. Said the city of Kennedale requires it and I could be fined if I did not have a working sensor with shut-off capability. He replaced the sensor.

I was initially very happy with his work and what he did looks really nice but when I called to tell him about the water still coming in, I had to leave a message and he did not return my call which really disappointed me.

Let's start with the fact that the service was impeccable. Randy is a truly-talented masonry guy, and that is hard to find. His pricing is unbelievably low for the value you get -- if you pay for cheap brick work, you get cheap brick work...Randy is not cheap, but his price is way below what you would expect to pay for this quality of service. He cares about his customers and takes pride in the superior work he does. He does not cut corners, but instead goes above and beyond to be sure that your house has been thoughtfully evaluated and improved. I have seen a number of frustrated customers posting here about Rain Leak Solutions, and I do understand why because I was frustrated, too. Randy had put out a coupon at the end of last year and got such a huge response that he was overwhelmed with work. He sent out a nice email to everyone telling them what happened and that he was going to work through the orders as quickly as he could. He specifically offered to refund the cost to anyone who was not able to wait. Well, it took a really long time for him to get to me, and although I felt annoyed, I hung in there because his reviews were so good and I really didn't want to have to research masonry repair again. BOY am I glad I waited for him! Once it was my turn, it was REALLY my turn. His complete focus was on me and my problems, and once that happens you start to really understand why it took him so long to work through his list of people -- he does a first-class job on EVERY job. Randy had bid me out for the chimney repair and miscellaneous crack filling, but he went all over the house looking for possible areas of water penetration and took care of everything. I loved that he touched up the mortar from old repairs where you could see "repair grout" next to the original mortar. It looks great! That's part of his specialty -- making the mortar match perfectly. I look at the front of my house and cannot tell anymore where the old repair was or where the new repair is. Oh, and when it was all over, he told me his sub charged him less than expected for a portion of the job, so he adjusted my bill DOWN! Randy is magic, honest, and is worth waiting for.

They were awesome. The front door was sealed a little too tightly and they promptly returned to fix the problem.

We were suppose to get a report detailing his findings and recommendations but never heard back from him.

They were professional, did good work, and charged a fair price.

The inspection was done on June 13th and I was supposed to receive the inspection report the following week. I have sent two email reminders on June 24th and July 7th and left a vmail on July 10th. Nothing has been returned. pretty so far. I am really surprised at any positive responses for this company till date with this experience. Would not use them in the future.

My experience with them was not good. For whatever reason, they never came out. It's kind of an odd deal. I wanted to get my money back. When we first did the deal, the guy said, "Yeah, great! We will really do it right now. We're really short-handed. We will come out, and we will schedule it for you." 60 days later or whatever, that day came when I have forgotten about it. I have seen them probably 90 days later. They said, "Yeah, I'm sorry about that. We were just really short-handed. We can't come out anytime soon. Let me see what I can do in 30 days or something like that." I can't call them to work, because they never came out. They ended the deal, and we got our refund on that.

The work was never completed. The owner, Randy, was quite good about sending email updates after the coupon was purchased (on Dec. 12th). However, it took > two months to even get an estimate. He had intended to start work that day and it's not clear to me why that didn't happen - I had to go in for a conference for my work and my fiance remained outside while he said he would work on an estimate. He (Randy) told my fiance he would send that to me. When, the estimate arrived, I responded that it looked good to me on Feb. 15th. I contacted Randy again on March 25th and heard back from him on the 28th - he said that he would be able to do it in a few weeks. I've given him multiple chances to get the work done and was more than willing to pay for work above and beyond the coupon, yet > 6 months later the work still isn't done. I would like a refund. ISTM that Angie's List needs to do a better job in terms of the number of coupons a vendor can sell. If the company is a specific size, then they should not be able to sell coupons that are more than 60 days worth of work for them.

It went well, service was carefully done.
