All the estimates I got were similar in price but King's Aire offered better equipment (according to my research). The installation went very well. The installers showed up every day on time or early, cleaned up their mess at the end of each day, and were polite and professional. I don't install air conditioners but do recognize quality work and these guys did good work. The installation took the amount of time that they said it would.

I have a yearly contract with Kings Aire Inc for regular service and maintenance. They're very prompt and have a very effective staff that takes care of my concerns. They have 24 hour services, and if I have to call them for anything, I usually get them immediately.

They arrived early, set everything up and did the job. After, they cleaned the area, and ensured that I knew how to operate and how to contact them when I needed service. I also set a service contract with them so they maintained the system for my family even when I deployed.

All work was done on time. Workers were professional they knew their job. My reason for an overall B rating is because I was never informed that the downstairs condensor which is mounted on the roof would cause vibration. The vibration sometimes gets loud and wakes us up or if we are upstairs and it starts vibrating we need to raise the volume on the TV in order to hear it. I brought this to their attention and I was informed it was because I have a flat roof but was offered no solution. I feel I should have been informed that the units might cause vibration but I never was. The units are working well and my wife is home and keeps it at a comfortable temperature. I would recommend Kings Aire but I would caution that they explain all the details.

Kings Aire workers were very professional. They went about doing their work trying to disturb as little as possible. They were considerate and informative. The units were installed and no payment was required until the work was done. By and large Kings did a good job. However, one of the units is rather noisy making a strong humming sound that it wakes us up. I pointed this out and was informed that the problem was due to our house having a flat roof. I would have prefered that this might have been pointed out before the units were installed.

The principle installers, Ozzy and Eddie, were excellent. They worked hard and responded to our questions and requests. Both went the extra mile and worked as if the system was their own. However, following initial startup of the systems on Friday, 7/26/2013, both AC systems ran almost constantly for days. The set temperature was achieved, but the blowers continued to run 23 of 24 hours per day. Over the first weekend after installation was complete, one system quit completely. The tech who came out on 7/29 seemed bewildered as to what to do about the constant running of both systems. He did solve the problem with the system that had stopped: the AC door panel on the non-functioning system was not placed correctly, he replaced it, and left. However, both systems continued to run almost constantly. Eventually (after several visits ove 2 weeks), the efforts of two knowledgeable technicians solved the problem, which turned out to be incorrect internal settings of the thermostats. We do not know why they were not properly set at the beginning but suspect that it was a simple oversight. Thus, since 8/9/2013, both systems have worked perfectly. We appreciated the persistence of Kings Aire to solve the problem. Finally, we should mention that the Sales Specialist, Angel Tarango, was polite and helpful. We had initial misunderstandings as to what would be done under the bid. However, Angel was responsive and made sure our expectations were met. On balance, we find that Kings Aire is a great business that we will stick with.
Description of Work: Kings Aire removed our two existing Mastercool evaporative cooler systems and replaced them with 2 Trane SEER17/high efficiency split-system heating/cooling systems.

I initially called on a Sunday afternoon as my AC blower on my refrigerated air Rheem AC went out. It happened to be a 100 degrees with humidity that day. i was told it would be $112 per hour for the check on the unit on a Sunday. I told them to comeout as I was concerned if they could not find a motor how long it would take to get it. The tech was there for less than 5 minutes and said it was the motor on the blower. He said he would call the parts shops at 8 am when he got in on Monday. I had his assurance that he would call me and let me know what was going on. on Monday I had not heard anythinng by 10 am so I called them. They had the tech call me back. He told me that he had taken a picture of the AC Model and Serial number with his phone but that he had a problem with his phone and would have to go back to the bouse to get the number. I went ahead and left work and went home and got the number and called them with the information. My whole purpose for having them come on a Sunday was to expedite getting the AC fixed sooner. I ended up calling at least 8 times over a two day period. My biggest problem was that no one would call and give me a status update on the ordered motor. I was just about to call and cancel everything but finally on Tuesday afternoon I get a call that the tech has picked up a motor and is on his way. Once he got here the work was performed in about an hour. Overall they do good work but I was dissapointed in the lack of communication when keeping customers updated. The motor was $189 and with labor and tax it was $389.

Before reading this, please be aware that we have no issues with the techs from Kings Air. They are very professional and have always done a great job!! The following is based on one experience that made us change to another company as our HVAC provider. Some years back we purchased a Trane unit from Kings Aire and have enjoyed it very much! We purchased the extended warranty on our unit. We have kept up with its maintenance through Kings Air with no problem; paying the preventive maintenance etc. The techs are very professional and very clean. Here's my complaint. , during one of our preventative maintenance check ups we were told that our unit had a leak. The tech reported his finding to the office, and we got a call from an Erica with an and quot;estimateand quot;. She told us our insurance would cover only certain things, but not all. She said she would email us a quote, which we had to call back for a couple of times because of her not being available. She finally did, and the estimate came in at $750!! She also said the techs would be on their way early the next morning. We called and cancelled telling her we would research further. When I spoke to her she told me it would take 5 hours of labor and then we needed to pay for freon and other parts. She said that she would try to tell the tech to see if he would take less time, but didn't know. Something that she said bothered me. She said that with these charges they were able to get and quot;something out of it tooand quot;. Insurance pays, so they WERE going to get paid. Something told us this was not right. My husband called the extended insurance company and they told my husband something very different. They could not understand why Kings Aire would want to charge us $750 when everything should have been covered. They also told us they have another authorized company, Sun Tech Mechanical. My husband called Sun Tech Mechanical and boy we were sure glad he did!! Sun Tech Mechanical also said the insurance company would cover 100%, so they will be coming in the next day to repair. I am VERY disappointed in Kings Aire trying to take advantage of consumers by not honoring 100% worth of the extended insurance. This now makes me wonder what other costs in the past we were overcharged for! We looked them up with the Better Business Bureau, and they do have some complaints on them, some referencing not honoring warranty. I will also lodge a complaint with the BBB. We still have a pre-paid preventative maintenance with them, but will try to get reimbursement so we can now use Sun Tech Mechanical.
Description of Work: During a preventative maintenance they found a freon leak. They were supposed to honor our extended warranty and fix leak.

It was a good experience from the very beginning, the adjuster (Oscar) was very professional) and he was on time and very knowledgeable. From the time he showed up and the work was completed it was within the hour.

I called because I arrived home late Friday to discover my AC was not working. Called because they have emergency service. Answering service made sure I knew that there was a $112 per hour charge then gave my name and number to the on-call guy. He called back in a reasonable time frame and told me how many calls were in front of me. He told me, quite reasonably, that he could not say when he would be here but that he would be here today.It took about 5 hours before he arrived. When he came, he was wearing a uniform, was clean/neat, and acted very professionally. He was personable and very courteous, making sure he had clean shoes before he came in. He changed the filter on my unit and gave me some useful advice on how frequently it should be changed since I have pets.After changing the filter he checked to see if that solved the problem. When it did not, he went on my roof to check that part of the system. He came down and explained that the problem was the condenser motor needed a new part so it would start correctly. He did not have the part and could not get it because it was a Saturday. When I wanted to schedule the return to change the part he could not do that. Apparently only the "girls in the office" can do that.I would have given them a higher rating for quality, price, and overall if they had been able to fix the problem and for quality if he had been able to schedule the return trip. I find it slightly annoying that an AC business that has emergency hours really only has emergency diagnosis hours and even more annoying that there is no way to schedule a followup appointment.

They are a very good company; very professional. I would highly recommend them. They installed a humidifier for me. There was a small problem with it but they kept at it until it was right. I spent around $1500, but purchased the top of the line Honeywell steam-type humidifier. I felt it was a good price for what I wanted. They were neatly dressed with ironed shirts, very professional. They have a good reputation in El Paso.

I had hears that the knock on King's Aire was that they were expensive. However, after getting several other estimates, King's Aire was actually the lowest quote I received (I wanted a Trane system). The salesman, Angel, was very easy to get in touch with and very accommodating. The project was supposed to take 3 days, but ended up taking about 5. That was fine as I wanted to make sure everything was done right. So far the AC and heater have been working great and they did everything I asked them to do.
Description of Work: They converted the swamp cooler on a house I bought to refrigerated air. They also upgraded the electrical from an 8- amp system to 150 amps.

Kingsaire came to the house and gave an estimate on a new Trane downdraft home heater. We got another estimate the next day and it was more than Kingsaire. We accepted the estimate and scheduled work to begin less than a week later. Two men showed up around 0800 and went right to work. They were quietly professional and worked to take out the old heater and install the new one. Around 1200 two additional men came to help. Since we had turned off the gas with the gas company they couldn't turn on the heater and program it. We scheduled the gas company to come out and turn on the gas (the city inspector came the same day and inspected the work) and Kingsaire came out the next day and set up the heater. They vacumed out the ducts, cleaned out the closet where the heater is, replaced the thermostat with a new digital programmable one, replaced gas connection and removed the old heater while cleaning up everything! When we received the original estimate we also contracted Kingsaire on a yearly basis to come turn on and turn off our airconditioners. Very satisfied! Will recommend Kingsaire to everyone! I especially liked the quiet professional way the men worked!

Overall it took a long time to get a quote that did not take into account my wishes.
Description of Work: I called this company for an estimate to convert from Swamp cooler to Refrigerated air. They took about ten days to come out and provide an estimate. They did not give me a quote for what I asked for and their rate was about 35% higher than others. I chose another company and am very pleased with the other companies work. Kings Aire has a good reputation in El Paso, However I would not use them in the future, because I felt like a number and not an important individual to them.

The last time I used KingsAire was in May 2011, I called to have them turn on my A/C and shut down my furnaces. They scheduled me in within a week of my call. They did a general check-up of my evaporitive cooler and my furnaces. They always do a thorough check on all equipment and do minor repairs as part of my maintenance agreement with them. I pay $190 a year and they come and inspect and turn/off my 2 coolers and 2 furnaces in the spring and fall. I have continued this agreement with them for the past 3 years and they have always been courteous, punctual and professional.
Description of Work: I have used KingsAire for approximately 10 years to service my AC and heating needs and general maintenance and equipment installation. I have a standard contract with them to turn on and shut down my AC and Heating system in the spring and fall. I have been completely satisfied with their work
