Abbott's Appliance Service

J.R. Was professional, courteous, and efficient. He quickly found the problem: an accumulation of dryer lint which had caught fire in the dryer. This could have been a catastrophe and I am deeply grateful to Abbotts for their service. I am now a faithful customer!

The service man arrived within 4 hours of our calling Abbotts and within less than one hour of the time initially given to us.. He also telephoned us shortly before arriving to alert us that he was on the way. The problem (faulty/worn out ice maker) was diagnosed almost instantly and the total repair was completed within approximately one hour. This time included going to a supplier for parts for the ice maker. (Due to our hot weather the service man had used up all of the needed parts on other refrigerators prior to arriving at our house.) The service man explained the problem and all of the steps he was taking to correct it in a friendly/professional manner. Should the occasion arise in the future we will not hesitate to contact Abbott's Appliance again.

As the property manager for the home where the machine is located, I called Abbott's on a Saturday morning. According to the description on Angie's list their service is "by appointment only" on Saturdays. However, I decided to give them a call anyway. Well, not only did they take my call, but immediately following our phone conversation they contacted the tenant and made an appointment. The previous repairman who looked at the machine said he could try and repair it but there was no guarantee that it would work. To replace that washer the Owner would've had to pay $1400. Abbott's Appliances saved the day! They repaired it and guaranteed their work. The tenants are happy with the job Abbott's appliance did; they haven't had any problems with the machine. I would hire them again and without hesitation will recommend them to everyone I know in need of appliance repair work. They were timely and efficient. I could not have asked for better service.

Abbotts does it again! My wife called at 8 a.m. to set up an appointment for our broken washer and was told that they would try to get someone out before 10 a.m.. At 8:30 a.m. Billy called and asked if he could stop by now as he was 15 minutes away. He promptly showed up and asked about the symptoms. He immediately went to work and diagnosed the problem and located the part he needed. He left to go pick up the part and promptly returned and changed it out. He ran he washer through a full cycle and patiently waited to ensure everything was working before he departed. Before he left he even took the time to give me some pointers on how to provide routine maintenance on my refrigerator. Even though I hope I don't have to call them again; If I do I will use them exclusively. Prompt same day service at reasonable prices.

Had received word of mouth referrals from friends and had had someone visit twice and the result was that the machine was never fixed and the problem had never been properly diagnosed. So finally looked up A rated provider in AL ... and viola ... excellent service ... identified real source of problem ... and machine is now running beautifully. Found a local provider that I can depend on. Will call them again for appliance issues. They're great!

Dryer went dead. Called at lunch and they were able to schedule me the same day after work. Showed up within projected time and Junior was very knowledgable and courteous. Had both electrical supplies on his truck and price was much less than a new dryer. Will definitely call them again for future appliance issues. The only negative was the fact that they do not offer a military discount. :-(

Repaired my refrigerator/freezer that was 10 years old. Had all parts that were needed on the spot. Serviceman was friendly, very thorough and informative. He cleaned up afterwards. I called midafternoon and they fit me in as soon as they could. They kept me updated on their arrival time.

He arrived in a timely fashion on the day I called for the service, diagnosed and fixed the problems rapidly and successfully, was very pleasant, and told me to call them if I had any problems.

I called on Tuesday morning because my washing machine was leaking. I had a return call within an hour. The tech came that afternoon and diagnosed the problem. He found the part and returned the very next morning and fixed the washing machine within half an hour. He was pleasant, knowledgeable, and professional. I would absolutely use Abbotts again!

From start to finish, I was very satisfied. The communication process was easy and clear. They showed up on time, calling before arriving to confirm the exact time and were pleasant and easy to deal with. The cost was clearly explained for service and parts, and it was accurate and fair.

Technician was about an hour late, but did call to let us know that he was late. He was professional & courteous. He fixed the dishwasher, a very simple repair and tested it. My only complaint is an $82 charge for a 10 minute repair, and 5 minute test. The technician took several personal phone calls during the time he was at my home, and I'm thinking he charged me for more time than was fair. I will not use this company again.

I had a problem with my dishwasher for over a month but was not sure who to call, as I have had bad experiences with service providers in my area (i.e. plumber!!). I broke down and joined Angie's list and found Abbott's Appliance Service. My 10:15 am call was answered promptly by a knowledgable person, familiar with the issue my dishwasher was having. He said he would send out a man named "Junior" between 11-1pm that day. (Home alone with small children during the day, I was appreciative he volunteered who I was expecting and that he would be in a uniform shirt.) Junior was a nice man, arrived promptly within the time window I was given, diagnosed the issue quickly, had it apart, fixed and put back together within a 1/2 hour. He was also kind enough to formally pronounce my clothes washer dead without extra charge. I had done research on the error code I was receiving and knew it was a lost cause for it's age, but he was happy to take a look while he was here. I'm happy to have found a reliable appliance repair company and will gladly use their services again.

Jr came out on the same day that the call for service was placed. Abbott was willing to work with my schedule and showed up on time. On the initial visit, Jr noticed that the washing machine was almost brand new and stated that I should not be having this type of problem. He said he was going to call the manufacture to see if they had a recall on the machine for this problem. Jr came back after the weekend and informed me that there was not a recall on the machine but that the manufacture had given him a list of things to check. 30 minutes later the washing machine was fixed! He explained the problem and asked me if I had any more questions before he left. It was refreshing to have someone be honest and reliable when it comes to service. I know that Abbotts could have easily said that they changed out all sorts of parts and charged and arm and leg for it. The whole thing was fixed for less than a lot of others charge just for a service call. Even though I hope I don't have to use them again, they will be the first ones I call if I do. Great service and great prices.

Tech gave me an estimate on replacing the control board but I am waiting since the other cycle works fine. Tech did explain the componets and the way they work.

The technician, Junior, was fantastic. He called to confirm he was running late. Although the parts had to be ordered, so the repair took longer than I expected. Junior communicated with me throughout the repair. He went out of his way to find a hose, which was not originally ordered, so he can finish the repair. I will recommend Abbott's to EVERYONE!

had to order a part, which took a while to arrive. i had to cancel appointment for funeral, told them to come next day but they didn't show and never called me back. but what they did fix was fixed really well.

I was very happy with the work they did. The price was reasonable and I did not have to buy any new appliances. I will use them again.

It went fine-had to have plumber repair plumbing to dishwasher before the dishwashercould be repaired.

Junior came out on the same day that I called and diagnosed the problem. He gave me an exact estimate and explained the problem to me. He came back the next day to replace the part. Overall, this was a great a experience (on time, did exactly what they needed to do to fix the refrigerator, very professional). I would definitely recommend them for appliance repair.

I called about 0900 on Christmas Eve because my oven wouldn't heat. I didn't expect a call back until Wednesday, due to the holiday. I had a call back in less than an hour and a repairman at the house within 2 hours. And the oven fixed within 30 minutes. The service was fast, friendly and done right the first time.
