+ 1 moreThis job required locating the broken line. Tom had to jack-hammer the foundation on the bottom floor of a split level home. My home has 2 foundations. He also had to remove the hot water tank in order to work in the area between the 2 foundations. He also had to cut a hole in the sheet rock to reach the area needing repair. This was a difficult area in which to work, requiring patience and persistence. The work was completed in a timely manner, with very little disruption to my household routine. He also saved my day on Christmas eve. I had guests coming and had overloaded my garbage disposer while cooking. Tom arrived early in the morning to save the day!
Description of Work: Tom located a broken hot water line and repaired it.

He did the work. he had to do some digging out there and when he got through, everything was cleaned up and looked good. He did a very professional job and I appreciated that. I was satisfied with the pricing.
Description of Work: I had an outdoor faucet that was leaking and the worker from Viper Plumbing replaced that. He also put in a freeze guard.

+ -1 moreExcellent. Will use Tom again. Had Tom install 2 water heaters and retro fit hot water circulation system 2 years ago and called him back for some misc items. I had the kitchen redone and the granite guys did not connect my kitchen faucet correctly, it leaked and the cold/hot water hook up was reversed. Tom fixed the leak and hook up, and solve a problem I had for years with the faucet extension getting stuck on water hook up because hook up line was too short. He also replaced the broken water circulation pump. Fixed my bathroom leaking faucet. And provided general service checkup on water heaters. Great work. Honest. Prompt. Hard worker.

Description of Work: This is the second time that I have used Viper Plumbing. I used Viper in 2009 to replace all of my faucets inside my house. I had several repairs today - mainly faucet leaks, both inside and outside. All were repaired and some harder than others. Thomas had to go purchase several parts and wasted no time doing so.

+ -1 moreI called Viper Plumbing and spoke to the office manager, Charm. She was very pleasant and professional. She helped me select a new shower valve, sent me a picture of the shower handle and shower head, and agreed to have their master plumber, Tom, pick up the valve and trim pieces at their supply house. The valve and trim pieces cost $170. When I saw it, I was very pleased. I also needed my toilet repaired, since one of the bolts broke and it was rocking on the floor. Tom was very capable and professional master plumber. He replaced the shower valve and trim pieces, adding copper pipe where needed. After finishing, he checked it for leaks. He then fixed the toilet. He showed me that the water valve was leaking and replaced it. He then showed me that the flange was corroded, and had holes in it. He replaced the flange (which required sawing off the old one) and wax ring and secured the toilet to the floor. I then asked him to check my 6 year-old gas water heater, and he was very helpful, suggesting that I turn the temperature up slightly in the winter and then back down in the summer. He showed me exactly how to do that. I learned that most plumbing companies send out the plumber helper or journeyman, not the master certified plumber. With Viper Plumbing, you always get the master plumber.
Description of Work: Replaced shower valve, shower head, and all associated parts. Repaired toilet.

+ 0 moreWhile I was doing laundry, heard a gurgle in our toilets and tub. Realized that everything was backing up. Called city for Fort Worth water department first. They said that problem was on my side of the drain line. Called Viper late in the day. Tom was at my house first thing the next morning to snake the line. Turned out that he had to go about 60 feet to find blockage -- right at the curb where the residence/city boundary is. A week later, realized we had slow drainage in our shower. Tom was back out to snake out that drain. We used Viper Plumbing for several years and would not think of calling anyone else!
Description of Work: Had to have cleanout snaked from house to street. Also had to have shower drain snaked.

It is an older home and had been sitting empty for a few months and almost every faucet in and outside the house was leaking. They fixed everything in under 4 hours. I was very impressed with how knowledgeable they were and how quickly they got everything done. So when my house sprung another leak a few months later, I called them again and received excellent service. I highly recommend them!

Viper was very punctual and arrived right on their appointment time. Tom quickly found and fixed the leaking joint and checked all other gas connections in the house. Tom was very professional and I would certainly recommend him to anyone.

Description of Work: I called Viper about a water leak in our front flower bed. The scheduler who answered was very helpful, she even asked if I needed emergency service. I said no as long as they could respond within a few days. She gave me a date and time of between noon and 4:oo pm. Shortly before noon David called and said he would be there in 20 minutes. When he arrived, it took him about 10 seconds to determine it was a shut off valve problem. It took about 1 1/2 hours to replace the valve. There have been no more leaks and the price was reasonable.

+ 0 moreOn my part....it went very well. Thomas is a very industrious young man.....no dilly dallying. He was on the job everyday when he said he would be.....I don't think he took time for lunch, and he worked till he was finished. I called him after reading many good reports on Angie's List, and he lived up to every one of them. He tackled a dirty, messy job and did it well. And, I think, at a fair price. And there's a bonus. His wife, Charm, is his helper. I left to run an errand one day and came back to find her pruning the over grown bushes at the front of the house. Thomas had gone for supplies, and she pitched in to assist my husband, rather than sit and wait. Can't beat that !
Description of Work: Thomas quoted me a price of $4600 to replace the old galvinized water pipes in my house that was built in 1929. It had been remodeled somewhat in 1948, but I'm not sure the pipes were replaced then. The hot water was down to a trickle and the cold not much better. I no longer live in the house, but I would like to sell or rent it and I knew many repairs needed to be done. This is what he suggested: Replacement from the meter to the house, new angle stops at fixtures, new valve box at the house, new shut off valve, new hose bibbs at the front and one side. Inside, galvinize to Pex with partial to the 2 bathrooms and washer, full to angle stops to the sink, and full to the water heater. We agreed on the price and work began. Then......Earlier, I had bought a water heater for my son to install (who has a bad back) and I asked Thomas to add that on too. He removed the old leaking one, replaced the old pipes with new and installed a drain to the outside. And....while he was crawling around under the house he discovered that the drain from the bath tub and the one from the kitchen sink were broken and he replaced those. He checked the two toilets and replaced the innards and put in new traps in the bathroom sinks. He fixed a broken connection from the washer to the drain, repaired the brick work that had to come out for the sink drain repair, put in new panels for the access to the crawl space, and added insulation to the pipes in the attic. He did much more than we originally agreed on and I feel he was looking out for my best interest.

+ -1 moreI liked everything about them. Tom, the owner and main plumber, may have an apprentice with him on occasion but he usually comes. He and his wife run the business on their own. His wife, who I usually call and speak to, is wonderful and very personable. Tom is professional, very knowledgeable, extremely professional, and stands behind his work. If there is an issue with something, he is out there to fix it at no charge to you. I ask him questions about water heaters and he knows the answers.

+ -1 moreMr. Jade said that leak was probably under my cement slab. This meant that he would have to jackhammer through the slab to reach the leak, which would tear up my house. Instead of putting his own interest first, along with the money he could have earned from jackhammering through the slab, he put my interest first. He suggested that I consider having the pipes under the slab lined with epoxy. The epoxy lining technique would not damage my house and would close the pinhole in the pipe. Mr. Jade does not do epoxy pipe lining, so he suggested a company that does. I was extremely impressed that he put what was best for me first, ahead of what would have been best for him and his company.
Description of Work: Mr. Jade came twice (12/21/11 and 12/30/11) to evaluate a leak in my kitchen and foyer.

+ 0 moreWas having problems with thermal expansion in water heater. Heater pressure would increase to 150 PSI every heating cycle and pop T&P valve, leaking water. Expansion tank fixed the problem. All work was done professionally and quickly. Don't get ripped off by the big plumbing companies; call Viper.

+ 2 moreThey are very good. It was a big job and they did a good job. They have been here several times. When my kitchen was installed, the contractor used a plumber that wasn't really licensed and he did all the plumbing underneath the house incorrectly so they repaired that. He did a new hot water heater 3 or 4 months ago and he had to make some adjustments because it wasn't up to code. He is very knowledgeable on what is and isn't required. He has also repaired my garbage disposal when it wasn't working. They are very nice. It is a husband and wife team. I've never seen any other employees with them. When they did the sewer line, the two of them dug it all out themselves. There was one sprinkler head that got broken but that wasn’t a big deal. He didn’t replace it but he put everything back. His price was lower than another company that I contacted. He is very good. He is usually fairly prompt. He may be 15-20 minutes late and he's not really fast but he's gets the job done and does a good job. I will always use them; they are my plumbing company.

+ -1 moreCalled 3 plumbers to fix problem. Viper could come the soonest. The problem was a blown out pilot light, but the technician took the time to test all other components and explain the process to us. He even checked on a recalled part and gave instructions how to take care of it. He also answered my questions about the new style water heaters (on demand type). Won't be getting one of those! Altogether a very pleasant experience.
Description of Work: Gas water heater not functioning. We suddenly had no hot water - on a Saturday, of course.

+ -1 moreUnbelievable the great leavel of service and responsiveness. I called in the early morning to try to schedule appointments for my priamry residence and also a rental property. He went to the rental property and fixed everything that morning without me even having to be there. They also came to my home and fixed/checked everything I needed. By 2 p.m, everything was done. Great experience and great service. Pricing was also reasonable. Very pleased!
Description of Work: Fix plumbing in bathrooms becasue there was a leak. Check plumbing for refrigerator and dishwasher.

Since we lived so close to a Home Depot, he generously offered to assist me with the warranty claim process, uninstalled my existing unit, brought it to Home Depot, collected our replacement unit and completed the new unit installation. Tom was exceptionally helpful and was willing to help us squeeze a 12 year until through a very narrow ceiling hatch. His attitude and information were exceptional. We would hire him again!
Description of Work: Installed a new 12 yr 50 gallon water heater in attic location. Installed WAGS device.
