Fantastic. Professional, courteous, concerned and thorough. At the end of every day they ensured their work area was clean. In addition to quality work, that specific ethic really stood out for me. Whatever positive things I put here will be an understatement. I will hire Old School Builders again.

Jimmy and his son Jeremy did a thorough job of finding the leaks. This included Jimmy climbing onto the roof with a water hose while Jeremy watched for leaks to develop in the attic. One leak was a slanted venting pipe (PVC) which they repaired. One of the leaks was a roof leak. They went beyond the call of duty and placed a tarp over the roof so there wouldn't be any more damage while we waited on the roofer. They also repaired the damaged ceiling (removed ceiling fixtures, cut out damaged drywall, installed new drywall, taped, floated, textured, painted, reinstalled ceiling fixtures). All work was done quickly and with care.

Jimmy, his son Jeremy and team were great! Very professional and responsive. I am very pleased with the finished product. His tile guys are great as well. Would highly recommend.

Jimmy and his crew did a great job building a garage for us. It turned out exactly as we had hoped. He understood what we were trying to accomplish and we are very pleased with the outcome. Jimmy is very responsive and prompt and competent. It was a pleasure to work with him.

The framing, plumbing, electrical, insulation and Sheetrock work is excellent -he made thoughtful suggestions throughout the process and had good craftsmanship. A great job on trim, window, doors, and painting as well. I wish I could hire him to do more things to update our house!

He scheduled work so that I had use of my kitchen for as long as possible. The cost was as agreed, with the exception of upgrades and I knew that ip front. I'm extremely pleased with both the experience and the wnd result.

Everything was very well communicated and professional. Jeremy came out, took measurements, and gave usa quote that day. Once scheduled, he and his father completed the job in one day. We couldnt be happier with the finished product.

Jimmy and his son did a great job! We are so pleased with the deck they built - it is like having another room for our house! Jimmy understood what we needed and implemented the design beautifully. We have a much more usable space now and better connectivity between the house and garage.

They did an excellent job. The bathroom looks great. There were a couple of glitches, but they were very responsive about dealing with them, and we were pleased with the result.

Contacted this general contractor through another Angie's List A list person Eric Whittier (because we trust him almost implicitly) who's an electrician/expert handyman who we've used a couple of dozen times for both home and work (Medical Practice). We then got a bid (he was our only bid because of our trust in Mr Whittier, we wanted a legitimate TRUSTWORTHY GC not a cutrate fly by night outfit). GC did what they said, which is the most important thing to us because we've been ripped off SO many times by contractors! IF he takes you as a client, DO IT! He doesn't just take anyone, he can be choosy since he's busy enough. We did many change orders and he never got mad at my wife and was flexible enough to accomodate our needs. The only issue we had was it took a little extra time than we thought, but it was another subcontractor's fault not his.

Jimmy seems like a nice guy. He only communicates via email. He never showed up for our scheduled site visit. After waiting at the location for a while, I emailed him asking where he was and he responded that he was tied up and could come later in the day. Apparently communication is not his strong suit. My time is valuable too, Jimmy.

Jimmy was really good to work with. He responded to my initial request the same day, even though he was out of town. He explained when he would be back and when it appeared he would be delayed a couple more days, he let us know. I really appreciate that he didn't leave us wondering if he was going to call. He made an appointment with us as soon as he returned to town. He arrived when he said he was going to. It turned out we needed a contractor that could design and draw the plans for our renovation. He explained that he would love to bid if we had drawings and he suggested we get an architect. We still have not found a contractor and have decided to go the architect route and will be calling Jimmy once we have the drawings in hand.

One of the company's contractors showed up a few minutes before the scheduled job. The man quickly explained his plan and assured me that job would be completed quickly and without trouble?he put my mind at ease. At the end, the contractor also explained some of the steps and small improvements he performed to make the structure more robust. Not only was the repair perfect, the door itself now functions and fits better than it did before it was damaged. The contractor was polite, the job was perfect, and everything was completed at the low-end extreme of the estimates I was given. I will use this service again without hesitation.

I called Angie's List and got a refund for the extra deal. Basically the company told me they were swamped and would get back in touch in with me within a couple of weeks to get scheduled, and then they never called again.

Very happy with the results and believe the price for the work completed was reasonable. Planning and quality assurance to complete tile and countertops in baths and kitchen was very good. Bathroom sink, fixtures and toilet upgrades all went smoothly. Front and back door replacement were very well done and resolved issues with the old doors.. Very happy with the painting both inside and outside. Great attention was particularly paid to the caulking and cleaning prior to actual painting.

Hooks were fine. Unfortunately when putting the hanging chairs together he unnecessarily & erroneously cut one length of a metal pole required as a foot rest for the chair far too short making it unuseable. I have not been able to replace this. This kind of work was obviously well below his skill set & expertise. I have not written a review previously as I did not want to make a negative comment about someone who was obviously way over qualified for the task I required help with. Unfortunately Angie's list have been calling me annoyingly frequently to make this review. Perhaps if Angie's list had the professionalism to ensure that the special offers they post are relevant then their users would not be put in this uncomfortable situation.

Jimmy was able to immediately get to work once I had ok'd the estimate. Gabriel, one of his workers, did a lot of the work and was friendly and very skillful. He quickly replaced all of the chair rail/moulding we had on the wall. In fact the moulding that Jimmy bought was actual wood as opposed the original mdf-based stuff. It did take a couple of days to get all the debris removed but I would definitely recommend Old School Builders and would use them in the future. Jimmy had stopped by to wrap up a couple things and ended up fixing a lose tile I had been meaning to fix in the bathroom as well for free.

Jim is very personable and he does a lot of work himself. However, because they are small, sometimes they're not available right away to start and you might have to wait a little bit before they can start a project.

Jimmy is professional and always does an excellent job. He did a new kitchen for me. He always has good ideas to resolve problems during the working. I love my new kitchen!

Jimmy was professional, friendly, and creative in his approach to problem solving. He is very versatile, willing to take on a variety of projects requiring different skills and is able to complete them all with excellence. I won't be searching for another contractor on Angie's list as long as Jimmy is around. We love the updates to our living room--thanks!

Jimmy has done excellent work for us in a wide variety of projects. He's always friendly and professional, and he has always been accommodating around our busy schedules. His pricing is very reasonable compared to other services and he is very honest about what a project will cost upfront. We highly recommend his service and we will continue to utilize him for future projects.

I bought a Big Deal for handyman service from Old School Builders. Jimmy came to the house earlier and visited about what we wanted done. He is very personable. His crew of two came today and made short work of staining our fence. Jimmy was here when they started and finished to check their work and make sure I was happy. They were polite and careful workers--much more careful than I expected for work on a fence. I am very pleased with the work and what I paid for it. Jimmy is a general contractor and capable of so much more than my little project, but he sure did right by me.
