Jimmy was friendly and reliable and the work was skillfully accomplished in a reasonable timeframe. We will be using him again for remodeling projects in the near future. Only one very slightly negative issue ...I will have him clean up as he goes along next time....but I am sort of a neat freak and this issue will not keep me from using him again! He did wonderful job!!

A handyman's pre-purchase home inspection had recommended that I should have the drip boards on my pier and beam home replaced. I couldn't locate the name of the first handyman but saw this deal on Angies' List and thought that purchasing the deal might help jump-start the project. I called Mr. Leake about April 21st (?) to explain what I needed but we had a bad phone connection. He asked me to email him instead. I emailed him on April 22nd and explained the project. He asked for pictures and seemed uncertain about doing the project (or, that was my perception, at least). I wanted a rough estimate of how much it may cost for the work and he said he would have to drop by my house. On May 29th he emailed and said he had dropped by my house and that he had some concerns about the asbestos siding but that he thought he could do it. I talked it over with my boyfriend and on May 31st, I emailed him back asking for an estimate. On June 24th, I still hadn't heard from him so I emailed him again. In this email, I asked if he had an estimate again but, I also asked what kinds of jobs he had typically completed as part of this Angie's Deal, I though perhaps I had misunderstood the scope of his practice. I also listed a few other projects with which I needed help to see if those would be a better fit. On July 2nd he wrote back, apologizing that he had been very busy, and that he could likely do it for $350. He said that he could come by the week of July 15th. I work shift work and was working a lot of nights that week and missed his email. I wrote back on July 11th that I could do some days that week but not all of them. I asked him if any of those days would work. I never heard back. He might be a great handyman-- this review is based solely on my difficulty scheduling with him. Perhaps I didn't come across as persistent enough because of my emails lagged his by a couple days, I'm not sure.

I agree with another reviewer - Jimmy seemed over-qualified for my little project. He worked very efficiently, and the project took exactly as long as he estimated. I also picked his brain on some other home improvement projects while I had him here, and he had some very useful advice to offer.

I was very happy with the work performed. Jimmy was professional and courteous and after chatting with him I could tell he was probably over qualified for the job but still happy to have the work. Before he left I had him look at a bigger project of building an additional room for me to give me an estimate. I'm hopeful we'll be able to work together again and I'm quite comfortable recommending him to others.

Mr. Leake is prompt, cheerful, and courteous; a true professional. He called ahead to make sure he had all tools needed. He did an excellent job and while he was here, I asked him for estimates for ceramic tile flooring, remodeling the master bathroom, including the mirrors. Chris gave me his cost and then set a date. He arrived timely. The first day he had someone assist him. The second day Chris finished the work. The work was done quickly and good. He arranged my list in an order that enabled him to complete the work quickly.

Fantastic! and, it went up so fast! There were a hundred reasons to stall, but they overcame every obstacle. Ours is a funky, old house, so it took some creative problem solving. Whatever came up, we could talk about it and solve it together.

Mr. Leake is knowledgeable, professional, honest and fairly priced. He's on-time and thorough in his work. It's been a pleasure to have him and I'll definitely use him again in the future.

He planned the project himself, bought all materials, and did all the work himself. The job turned out beautifully. He showed up every day when he said and got it done in a timely manner. The tile work was lovely. The whole job was very professional. I am delighted with the product. And he was a really nice guy with good communication.
