The scheduling of the call was easily handled over the phone. We had a coupon for an Angie's Big Deal. The day of the scheduled service the tech called to see if he could come out a little earlier since things were running ahead of schedule. The tech checked over the system inside and out and cleaned the condenser coils, blower and drain lines. He ran the usual tests on mechanical, thermostat and coolant levels. He had several recommendations based on our conversation with him regarding balancing and air cleaning. The tech was clean and polite and seemed to be very knowledgeable about the subject. This was far above the service we received from the last couple of outfits we've used in Denton.

I called and set an appt. On the day of the appt they had some issues and were late. They did call ahead to let me know though and it was fine with me. Randy was the plumber and I was happy with his work and felt comfortable with him in my home. I felt instantly that he was an honest guy and I did not need to watch him every second so I was able to go about my various chores. It was an extra $68.00 for parts but we had discussed this up front so it was not unexpected. I would feel comfortable recommending this company and Randy specifically to a friend.

The technician arrived on time and replaced my garbage disposal without leaving any mess.

Technician was very thorough and did a great job inspecting both units. He even sealed a small leak around a pipe in the unit. A good value!

It was fine. I was satisfied with the service. I would use them again.

Do plumbers EVER plan to unclog a drain with a plunger? If a plumbing company says they can fix your clogged sink,but don't have the proper equipment, is that the fault of the homeowner? Is a trip back to the shop for necessary equipment a trip I as a homeowner should pay for? I THINK NOT!! Is a trip back to the shop part of the "plumbing service" they provide? Hmmm, they failed to mention it when I contracted for the plumbing work! Judge for yourself the fairness of the following situation: I call Force Home Services in Denton TX, and arrange for someone to unclog the kitchen sink. I am directed to the "special deal" and purchase two hours of service for $99.00. I thought this was a great deal...uh, wait a minute. Plumber shows up, discovers he needs a different snake, leaves my home for an hour and twenty minutes, returns, and unclogs said clog in about 45 minutes. He finishes and I give him the coupon, but he charges me and extra $85.00 for the equipment he had to use, and a half hour of overtime. Is this fair? I don't think so--kind of a scam, I think? What can I do but pay him? So I do, but I do ask him why I purchased a $99.00 coupon for two hours of plumbing work--not extra time for him to return to his shop and get the equipment he should have on board his truck! He comments that his clock started when he made the initial stop and ended when he handed me the bill. Unclogged sink--good Tactics used to bump up the price --Sneaky, Unprofessional, and Very Bad

Excellent! Always on time, friendly and very concerned about not making a mess and cleaning up after themselves. Highly recommended!

The service technician came in and immediately began selling their services. He was supposed to check and service my A/C heating system. Instead he went told me I needed extra insulation and proceeded to quote several options. He told me I needed a new A/C unit and quoted the best A/C available. He tried to sell me on a special filter system for homes with pets. This went on and on with him trying to sell and quote approximately 5 or 6 items he insisted I needed. Finally he replaced my thermostat with the free thermostat. He then went in the attic and checked the heating system. He had already checked the A/C. He told me they were good and no service was needed. I asked how much freon I had in the A/C and he said enough. I asked about the heating system. All good. His examination of both took approximately 5 minutes. Then he again went over all the items he had tried to sell me on purchasing. After repeating each item and me turning it down he would say "you are turning this down?" And, he would check mark each item I had refused to purchase stating at the end Finally he left. This was nothing but an opportunity for Force Home Services to sell some very expensive things. The thermostat does not keep an accurate temperature, you cannot read the settings without a light shining from above. I will not use Force Home again.

They were honest and upfront but said that I was too far away to provide the service. Terri, the woman I spoke with, said they would come out if I really needed them too, but I declined and will instead use someone closer.

Excellent service from on time arrival to clean up. Very professional and courteous. Will definitely use again.

We purchased two hours of labor -- parts not included. We had several different issues and Randy was excellent! He either stated the challenge for the repair, as it might not be the appropriate repair for this type of visit, or he provided the solution for fixing the problem. Not dragging his feet to take time in repairs or anything. He worked expediently and professionally and then promptly asked, 'what next?" Truly a pleasant experience!

Technician did a good job checking it all out . Explained what he was doing and did it. They had a deal for a free CO monitor and gave us one but it didn't work.

I thought that I needed a humidifier for the bedroom wing of my house. Angie's list was offering a "Big Deal" to have a humidifier and humidistat installed for a discounted price from Force Home Services. I signed up for the discount. I thought that the company would contact me to schedule the service. Turned out that I was to contact them which I did after a month or so. They scheduled a tech to come out and look at the job. He arrived on schedule, climbed up into the attic (where the air handler is). The description of the requirements for the job posted on Angies List indicated that access to a water line (such as in a bathroom) should be within 35 feet (which was the case). The tech explained that they required access to the water heater to tap into a water supply line. My water heater is on the other side of my house (about 75 feet away). The extra labor and material would be about $200. I decided to reevaluate my options. After buying a simple humidity meter I determined that the air was not as dry as I thought and that a couple of room humidifiers would probably be more cost effective and less difficult to maintain (the new humidifier would have to be located in a rather inaccessible place on my air handler). Based on this information, I decided to not have the humidifier installed. The only negative aspect to this experience with Force Home Services was that communication problems (scheduling original appointment and misinformation regarding the access to water).

Service was prompt and quick. Great followup.

They arrived when they said they would, and performed the requested service. Tech was very professional and explained what he found.

It went great. I can't say enough good things about this company. If you try them, I think you will be very pleasantly surprised.

The technician was nice and did everything in a timely fashion. The problem is that they were pushy about trying to up sell services, some of which were questionable. I wished companies understood that if you do a good job then we will continue to use you but if you are pushy then that is just a turnoff. The actual technician should not be a salesperson too!

It went really well. The installation was smooth. I wouldn't hesitate to recomment their services to friends and family.

Tech was very informative and did a great job

The basic story is that Randy Miller is awesome!! He is everything you could want in a repair person - extremely competent, personable and effecient. All of the work was completed to my satisfaction - which is saying alot since some of those faucets had, over time, welded themselves to the fixtures and Randy had to really work to get those things off! I will use Force Home Services for all my future work and would highly recommend them.

7/31/13 - Just heard back from Angie's list "help desk" that they will not honor checking my Freon levels because they'll have to charge me another service call.?! They scheduled an appointment to do it but then no showed (didn't tell me about any service fee). If that's true then they falsely advertised on the "Big Deal" since they knew it was too cold to do an accurate check or they wanted to suck more money out of customers to finish the services they were paid up front to do. Very disappointed with the Vendor and Angie's List supposed help. 7/11/13 - They couldn't check our two units Freon levels because it was too cold but said they'd come back when it got warmer. I called a month or two later when it warmed up and they said they'd said someone by on Saturday. Saturday came and went and I never heard from them. I called back and left a message but never heard back. Since then, I've left two other messages and still haven't heard back. I just contacted Angie's List to see if they can get it resolved 3/5/13 - Overall it went good. The tech seemed to be knowledgeable, wasn't in a hurry, punctual & called to let me know they were on the way out. It was too cold so they couldn't check the Freon & they said they'd come back once it got warmer. They gave us a laundry list of items to increase efficiency. Two of those items were: mastic sealing of the ducting & moving the dryer vent. They used a mastic to seal the duct work & looks pretty good...we haven't gotten a new energy bill yet so not sure if it's made a difference. He didn't have parts to re-route our dyer vent so he said the company would be calling me once it got warmer & they'd check the Freon level & re-route the dryer vent. One of the items they suggested was installing hard start kits & quoted $209 for each system. I looked up hard start kits and they're priced from $8 - $38. I called them to see if I bought the parts how much would they charge to install them? I was told it would be more & they wouldn't warranty the parts. I'm fine with the no warranty but watching a YouTube video on installing the hard start kits, it's just connecting two wires then mounting it to the unit (two screws). I'm not sure how much an hour they charge but their unwillingness to give me a price doesn't seem right. Also, they offer club membership which gives you discounts & it's $17 per month per system. Unless your a/c is on it's last leg, it didn't seem to be worth it.

The repair person was very knowledgeable and gracious.

I had bought an Angie's List deal. The guy who came out troubleshooted why our water pressure is so low to the house. Suggested I have the city check on the pressure. City came out and said all was ok at the source. Afterwards, I found another valve box for the water in the yard. Force came back at no extra charge to clean it out. This improved the water pressure. I appreciate that they came out the second time at no charge since we had missed on finding that box first timd around.

It was great, they came and did a good job. They were neat and clean. Everything was fine.
