We just purchased a new home and the previous owners were less than clean (they NEVER once changed the A/C filter during the five years they were there). Given this situation, we felt it was prudent to have an inspection and tune-up of our A/C to ensure that everything was good to go and see if there was any maintenance needed. The price for the tune-up package appeared reasonable and I order through AngiesList deals on a Sunday. I did not receive a phone call to schedule until Thursday. To be honest, I wouldn't have minded if this was the only hiccup. The service technician arrived that Friday and got to work right away. I was getting an estimate from a painting contractor and not paying much attention to the tech from Force. After he completed his review he told me that everything was in great condition (hard to believe given the 5 years of abuse by the previous owner, but I was happy to hear it). The problem was - and I really hate to say this but I am pretty confident it is true - unfortunately, it was clear that the tech had the smell of alcohol on his breath as he discussed the results of the tune-up. He seemed competent and knowledgeable, but because of this I now am doubting how good his review really was. I really hope I am wrong about this and I don't want to accuse anyone so I won't put out names. I have read plenty of reviews about this company and believe they do good work. I hope my experience was an anomaly. The last thing that soured this experience is that the tune-up is supposed to include a free filter replacement if your A/C takes a 1" filter. Ours uses a 20" x 20" x 1" so in theory we should qualify. Apparently the 20" x 20" is not a common size that they carry in their trucks and the tech was not going to offer the filter because of that. He did promise to send out somebody with the filter, so we should still get it and it is not a big deal or a lot of money - I will just buy my own of course. Wouldn't it have been just as easy to ask what size filter I used before setting the appointment to ensure that they carried that size with them as it is included in my purchase.

They came out quickly, replaced the part. And then our A/C worked again.

We did the big deal of $49 but that lead to another $9000 purchase of air conditioning system. I trust the company that did it but our air conditioning was 15 or 16 years old and it was not cooling. But they took the $49 off. So they came out and di the free thing for $49 then we asked them to come back and gave us an estimate. We have a much better air conditioner now. For the last month, our electric bill has been lower and our house has been cooler than it has in several years. I think it is a good company. They hauled the old stuff away. They did a good job and put everything in properly.

I have two outside faucets that need to be replaced. I bought the faucets at Home Depot and was told that it would be better to have a plumber replace them. Several months ago I bought the $39 plumbing certificate and service credit if anything was done. When I told them that I had already paid for the parts I was told that they could not warranty the service since I did not buy the parts from them. I told them that was fine because I can take the parts back to Home Depot if they don't work. When I asked the price I was told that it would cost $189 for each of the two faucets. My understanding is that you just unscrew the old faucet and put some sealer on the threads and screw in the new faucet. This should take no more that 10 minutes each, therefore the hourly rate turns into over $1,000. This isn't rocket science (or maybe it is).

They came the following day after I purchased the big deal. The service went well. Their technician was well informed and he was professional. They showed me on time.

I contacted Force Home Services after my HVAC unit from the 80's finally stopped working. In just a little over 48 hours, I had a total system replacement. Such a costly home repair is never something anyone wishes to experience. However, throughout the whole process, the entire team was professional, polite, and very friendly. Another company I was in contact with could only complete the job if given two extra days. Force Home Services came out on a Saturday and installed the whole system. A big thank you to Lisa, Mike & Mike, Mo, and Ricky. If I am in need of services again, I will look to this provider first.

Not too many details to report. The service tech gave us a 2 hour window and called when he was about 20 minutes out. (BIG plus!) He was extremely polite and professional. We watched him do all the work, mostly inspections but saw him look all the outside equipment, watched him weigh and put in refrigerant (and immediately felt the results!) and clean up afterwards. the paperwork was very straightforward. It listed what he did, and other additional services that were recommended although we declined. There was no argument or high pressure sales pitch to do anything more than the inspection and addition of 1 lb. of refrigerant which is what they advertised. These folks have a service plan that looked pretty good and although we didn't sign up for it this time, we will in all likelihood, call him back for a fall inspection and sign up then. Mitch was our technician and he said we could request him by name in the future. We like the personal touch. Emergencies would be handled by the first available person. We liked him and we don't like most a/c folks.

They said everything was fine. He was very thorough. I was pleased with him. If I have actually a plumbing problem, I would go after the same guy.

I had to pay quite bit extra for time. He didn’t have the part in the truck and wanted me to go get the part but he ended up going to get it. When he got everything finished he didn’t turn up the water pressure high enough.

I appreciated the provider's professionalism in answering all my questions and helping me to understand the unit and giving me options for upkeep. I will use this provider from now on. I highly recommend them!

Guy and Mo were early and went immediately to work. Guy explained what they were going to inspect and said he would consult me before repairing or replacing anything. He did exactly what he said he would do. Both men were pleasant, professional and personable. They cleaned up the areas where they worked before they left. During the entire visit, they wore shoe protectors. I appreciated their attention to detail. They also demonstrated each drainage on all sinks and tubs before asking me to sign the invoice. I highly recommend this company and it's employees work ethic.

The inspection went better then I had expected. He said my unit was in better shape than I thought and the fix was just a part that needed replacing due to it being over 30 years old.

Decided to pursue other options due to price indicated for faucet replacement. Still have a $100 credit remaining.

Very pleased with their tech and the service. He was on time, he called before so I could meet him as I asked, he explained to me what he was doing and why, and made several good suggestions of actions I could take to extend the life of the unit.

Force sent salesman for first visit to consult on a/c unit. Told me I would be getting "absolutely everything" except one specific item that didn't need to be replaced currently. I made the purchase, even upsizing from the prior unit. New unit was installed; different service personnel wrote on ticket "recommendations for improvement of system" which included an item that wasn't the one specific item mentioned above. I called the first salesman and told him I thought my purchase included everything except whatever it was. He said it did not. I said, don't you remember me saying: "so if I do this, the only thing that won't be new is x." He said no. Force eventually installed the "recommended item for improvement noted on the service personnel's ticket; however, the salesman told me at the first consult that I would not have problems again with the inability to cool the house. But I still do. Even this early into the summer, I can put my A/C on 75 when I leave in the morning, and it will be 76/77 when I get home in the afternoon.

Guy and his apprentice arrived on time and got right to work. We had bought a new hot water heater in 2009 I think but it had never been drained. I knew it needed to be drained but hadn't a clue how to do that. I requested they show me how and they graciously agreed, waiting while I went to get my phone to record. They drained the water but little sediment was expelled. They determined that there was a significant build up of sediment inside the unit...not surprising. I realized later that I don't think they flushed the heater, but perhaps that was due to sediment buildup. Guy completed his visual inspection of the other plumbing both inside and out and pointed out a couple of deficits but otherwise commenting on how well maintained everything was. There was no high pressure to correct the couple of deficits or to replace the still functioning water heater. Everything was very professional. I will use them again.

Curtis came and provided a quote on a new water heater. He answered all my questions, explained the available options thoroughly, and provided a competitive quote. I'm going to book Force Home Services for the water heater install next, so we'll see how they do. But all is good so far.

It went well, they did a good job and charged me less than half of what another plumbing company wanted to charge. A fair job at a fair price, can't complain about that!

Overall very pleasant to deal with, technician did not find any issues with the unit, performed the cleaning, and provided several helpful tips on how to increase airflow in the house (opening closed vents on second floor to increase circulation and increased the blower speed from medium to high).

It went well overall. The technician was dressed professionally, knowledgeable, was respectful to my home. He was more than 15 minutes late which isn't a big deal but I got the feeling that he was annoyed an being at my home so late in the day.

I wish I could remember the gentleman's name that performed the service on the A/C. He was truly the best ever. I have never had anyone come in and honestly show me the problem, then take the time to explain exactly how the system worked and what to watch out for. He did not try to band aid the system nor try to sell me Freon like every other company that has come through here. I kid you not, I have had no less than 20 different tech's in this house about this system in the last 3 years. He was a breath of fresh air. I even went so far as to buy a yearly maintenance program from this company. Along with the maintenance program which is reasonable for what you get, I also receive a free plumbing call. I am sure I will use it. I was also impressed with the sweet woman who answered the phone - I want to say her name was Lisa. She actually gave me her personal cell phone number in case I had any emergencies over the weekend - who does that? I made sure I waited at least a month to write this because my A/C has never worked much longer than a month without some type of maintenance. It works better than ever now. My money and time can be spent on more important things now. I wish everyone ran their business like Force.
