I am very thorough for large projects and interviewed approximately 8 roofers! DCT initially provided me with a flat quote and didn't give me a hard time...many others did not even want to give me a quote and wanted to force me to go through insurance and work with them. DCT gave a fair flat price. While obtaining all the quotes, Doug followed up via phone a couple times to see where we were in the decision process. (Also rare, only a few did this.) On one of these phone conversations Doug mentioned that should we decide to file through insurance, to come back to him with the details of the claim and he would see if he could work with us to minimize out of pocket as much as possible rather than just a flat price quote. Once we filed our claim, Doug came by our home to go through the quote with us and worked up an extremely fair contract. My husband also discussed possible additional ventilation options with him. We liked that he did not push high-cost ventilation options and was honest with us that adding whirly birds (an inexpensive option) was the best bang for the buck. He suggested locations for the added ventilation and priced this out separately for us. The job was scheduled quickly and Doug remained in close communication about how the process would go. Materials were dropped that morning and then the crew showed up right after and got to work. Doug came by mid-morning to check on the crew and see how things were going. Crew did a very thorough clean up job including magnetic sweep of yard, and a beautiful job with the roof. We found one strip of nails that fell off a roofers' belt when leaving most likely. Did not ever find any individual nails in our yard though. My husband wanted one minor change with a piece of weather stripping over the AC unit and Doug sent crew back promptly a few days later to correct to our liking. Overall super pleased with DCT and would recommend to all!

Awesome! I called Kris and described the problem (my handyman thought it was going to be expensive enough to file an insurance claim on!) and Kris was able to give me a quote over the phone. I thought that only 1 skylight was leaking because that leak was bad enough to damage the sheetrock. They were able to come out the next morning and fix it! It turned out that both skylights needed the flashing fixed (not surprising as they were replaced at the same time). The original quote was between $350 and $400 and they did BOTH for $435. I was very pleased.

We contacted DCT for an estimate. Kris was very knowledgeable, entergetic and upbeat. He promptly gave us a reasonable quote and he was even willing to work around our hectic schedule to get the job completed as I wanted to be onsite when the work was being done. He was very helpful as I always seem to ask too many questions and was thoughtful of my wishes and concerns about the project. I would consider myself as a high maintenance and pain in the neck customer but Kris always made me feel like I was his only customer and that everything that was important to me was equaly important to him. The DCT crews did a fantastic job! They completed the project quickly and accurately. They were respectful of our property and cleaned up as if they were never even here. We are so pleased with the outstanding job DCT did for us and we will definately use them again for any roofing needs we may have. I contact Kris through Angie's List Tuesday night. He called me the next morning and we discussed my issues with the previous roofers and the damage that we had. He sent Antonio over on Thursday to access the work to see if it was something that they could repair. I spoke to Kris later that day and he explained in detail what was happening and how he could get it repaired for us. Gave us a quote and Antonio came out on Friday to repair the damage. It rained on Saturday and guess what no water in our garage. Thanks Kris for the wonderful job! I would absolutely recommend Kris and his team! Thanks Kris and Antonio!

Called DCT Roofing Solutions around noon on Friday, February 17th, and within hours, Kris had a roofer at the rental property to assess the problem and fix it. He determined the leak was coming from above the dining room window. To fix it, he replaced the damaged/worn field shingles and hip/ridge shingles in area where water was entering home. He also installed valley metal where there wasn't any. The bottom of the invoice I received states: "We warranty workmanship on this area of repair one (1) year against leaking caused only by our workmanship." I appreciate the full year warranty, but with all the rain the Fort Worth area got over that weekend, I doubt I'll need to call Kris for this particular leak problem again. I called my tenant on Saturday afternoon, approximately 24 hours after the leak was fixed, and she confirmed there wasn't anymore water leaking in and by the following Tuesday, everything seemed to be dry and the water didn't even do any damage to the wall. I credit Kris with such a timely response that the leak was fixed quick enough that no other damage was done. I will definitely call on Kris again if I have any other roof problems, both at my rental property and my new home.

I would use them again in the future.

Outstanding from start to finish. Really. There are so many company's that claim customer service is a priority, but I can't remember the last time when I felt so genuinely taken care of. Every question and every concern was promptly and professionally addressed without question and with a genuine desire to make everything right. I don't normally gush, but this was truly a good experience that pays for my angies list subscription multiple times over.

Everything went smoothly. They did a good job and cleaned up after themselves well. Basically, they did exactly what they promised.

The service from DCT was unbelievable. Chris walked me through both my insurance and the paperwork with my mortgage company. My mortgage company Citimortgage was terrible, they lost stuff, asked for the wrong things, and in general were horrible. I would have never got this done without Kris's help. There were a lot of roof replacements in my nieghborhood and many would show up with two man crews and take days. DCT showed up exactly on time with a full crew and the right equipment. The roof was done in a day and the quality was perfect. Since I have heard stories of leaks, loose shingles from some of my neighbors who used other roofing companies. If you need a roof use these guys. THEY WERE GREAT.

Kris was listed on Angie's list and after checking references, I choose him for the job. He honored his quote and the time frame for all the house repairs. The roofing crew was here at dawn and worked until 3 and was done. I have a two story steep roof, and they totally replaced the entire roof in less than 8 hours. It was clean and they were gone before 5. He also had contractors that did my gutters, painting and repairs, windows and screens. All of these areas were completed in a timely manner and the results were professional. I am pleased with the work that was provided me from Kris and his contractors. Would certainly give high marks for the entire process. Hope to not do it again any time soon, but would call Kris again.

After having a trap set in our attic for a week without catching anything, we contacted several roofing companies to give us quotes on sealing up the holes we could see from the ground. DCT Roofing Solutions gave a competitive quote and they were able to complete the work on the same day. They fixed a corner where there was a large hole, covered the hole with metal so the demon squirrel couldn't get back through and replaced the shingles. They also replaced a couple of plumbing vents and sealed up high on them as it appeared the squirrel had done some damage there as well. Then they also sealed up another hole on another portion of the house with metal. Everything went well, the workers were nice and courteous though a tad bit to difficult to communicate with as my husband and I do not speak Spanish, but they were able to speak it English well enough that we didn't feel that it was impossible to convey what we needed. The squirrel was stuck outside of the house the rest of that day and most of the next day (Friday and Saturday). BUT, it chewed through another portion of the fascia boards to gain access to the soffit once again late in the day on the second day (Saturday evening). We had some questions for Kris and his crew about the shingle replacement, so Kris scheduled his crew to return and give us a detailed explanation of some of the repairs. While the crew was there they reinspected as we thought we could see another hole from the ground (2 story home). They did indeed locate a new hole and patched that up for us as well. All in all, we were very happy with the service and responsiveness. Kris was very informative about our problem and they were quick to remedy our situation. I would definitely use them again should we need any further roofing needs.

Doug from DCT came out in mid-late August to discuss my roofing issues. I discussed my roofing needs with 3 other roofing companies. Doug followed up with me by phone a few times and I called him with questions. He was always helpful and explained all possible options. He was more helpful than my insurance agent. I decided to go with DCT (courtesy, easy to talk with, helpful), and Doug came to my house to go over the estimate and disuss shingle options. A few days later he called with the date of installation. All went well , the crew was at the door at 7AM, did the job, cleaned up and you couldn't tell an old roof had nbeen removed and hauled away. Kris called that morning and we discussed some issues regarding my insurance. From that morning on Kris/Doug dealt with the insurance company and I never had an other issue. ALL WENT WELL!!! I was not home that particular day but when I got home I can tell you it was spotless. My roof seems to be holding up very well and I will use them again in the future.

The adjuster through our home insurance company determined that due to hail damage, our entire roof (14-year old) had to be replaced. I looked up Angie's list and decided to contact DCT Roofing Solutions. Right from the start, Kris Howard (owner) was very prompt in calling me back, gathering all information needed to give me a good quote and also explain the excellent specials that they run. I later got in touch with Shaun who also works for the same company. He came over and explained the whole process in detail and answered all my questions. Kris and Shaun then got in touch with my insurance company to adjust the total estimate due to hike in material prices, etc. I didn't have to worry about that side at all. On the day of repair, the crew started at 6.30AM and wrapped up the whole job by 3.30PM. They also made sure to clean all areas after they were done. The guys at DCT roofing solutions are extremely professional, do quality work, know what they are doing and their prices are also extremely competitive and reasonable. I would definitely use them again if needed and surely recommend them to friends and family. Thanks Kris, Shaun and the rest of the crew!

DCT Roofing is an amazing company to work with. You will talk with either Kris or his brother Doug who both have many years of experience in the roofing business. I called DCT needing an emergency repair after a tornado had damaged our rental house leaving a huge part of our roof exposed to the plywood. I had also called a few other companies found on Angie's list to get a quote for the repair and to see who could come out ASAP. Another local competing business told me that they wanted my business and would tarp my roof for free. I called Kris to let him know that I would be going with another company since they were doing it for free- and when I told him the company I was using he seemed very leery of the "free part, and politely told me he understood why I chose them since I was told free, but warned me that there was a good chance of shoddy work from the individual doing the repair and that it sounded too good to be true. It turned out Kris from DCT was right. As soon as the other local contractor finished the "job" he asked me when he could collect $400+ for the emergency repair and then claimed he never said he would do it for free and wanted to collect. I called Kris from DCT and told him my situation. I told him I should have trusted his years of experience and then told him I wanted to hire his company to do the rest of my repairs on my two properties. He also told me he would look at the emergency repair done by the other company to see if it was done properly. Luckily for me, Kris knew the owner of the other company I had used, and took the time out of his day to call him and tell them what had happened to me. The owner of the other company then called me to apologize, told me there would be no charge, and that the individual was not following their business practices and would be let go. To make a long story short, I should have hired DCT from the beginning. Kris Howard has tons of experience, and goes the extra mile for his customers. Don't waste time like I did calling other roofers. I had never had a tornado damage a home I owned before and was very overwhelmed with all the insurance paperwork, phone calls to insurance agents, the clean up from the storm, city code officers (the tornado blew fence down, and ripped apart pool plumbing making it stagnant- and in Denton, you can not have stagnant water and must have a fence around pool to be in code), trying to hire contractors to do the repair, along with raising a three year old and one year old. Kris and his brother really helped lift the burden off of me. It was so convenient that I could hire them to do all the repairs (they do more than just roofing). Doug met with our insurance adjustor when he came to our house to look at the damage, and they both explained to me how claims work. I also appreciated that they would meet me half way to sign contracts or get payment (I live in Fort Worth, they are located in Krum). All repairs were done correct and in a timely manner. If you are looking for a company with honesty, experience, good pricing, that will take the time to go the extra mile for you, DCT roofing is the company to use.

I could not get up on the roof to check the work but from the ground level, they did a very good job. I very much appreciated that they took away all the old wood too. The price was very reasonable for the amount of work done. I would definitely use DCT Roofing Solutions again for all my attic and roofing needs. I do have one suggestion though. I didn’t know that they would need to go into my backyard. (But, the chimney is closer to the backyard than the front of the house.) I suspect that they didn’t want to bother me when they removed the latch from my locked gate (cedar fence) with a power tool. This can be dangerous for them and any pets that could get out and get lost. It’s best to ask the owner to unlock gates no matter what. Luckily, I had a second locked gate (chain link) so they had to ask me to unlock it and I knew to keep my dog indoors during that time.

The work was done on time and with same materials promised and clean up was prompt the entire yard, gutters and anywhere else you could think of were cleaned before the crew left for the day. --- The only issue was a fairly major leak in the garage during the next storm. The phone call to DCT - Chris (company owner) was returned very quickly and the damage as well as the leak was repaired the same day --- I will have to post a follow up if there are any more leaks as it has not rained since repairs were completed, but it appears that the problem is solved- as of now, there is only a small cosmetic issue (flashing used to repair the leak has not been painted yet) left undone but I do believe it will be shortly--- major issues have all been taken care of and I have a great- looking roof on my home.

Several other companies promised to help with the insurance companies and help me with the process. Kris was different he was a true professional, he educated us and explained every step of the process, then made it happen.

Kris was prompt, responsive to my needs and honest in what would give me the most improvement for the cost. I had new windows done throughout the house with hopes of improving the overall house temperature during the hotest days. The windows did not seem to help but after the insulation and vents were done I got a 4 degree improvement!! Very happy with the work and the company.

Contacted by Kris Howard within 24 hours on June 3rd. We set an appointment for a few days later for an estimate. Kris went over the repairs needed in detail. Job completed June 25th with the crew doing a good job on the roof replacement and removal of all debris. I talked with Kris later about a few concerns and questions which he acted on immediately. He came out inspect the job. He sent someone out the same day to comb out the compressor coils and the next day sent 2 workers out to add extra decking to a small area which appeared to be sagging. He apologized for the crew foreman not arranging for an extra sheet of 4X8 decking to be delivered during the roof replacement. He also added 3 new Turbines at no charge as well as the 3 sheets of decking used during the job. He also was very knowledgeable and helpful with my insurance paperwork. Kris truly knows his business and he addresses his customers concerns in a professional and expedient manner. I am so glad I used Angies List to find a reputable contractor. If I have any problems in the future I will not hesitate to give Kris a call. Susan B.

Kris (the owner) and crew showed up on time as promised. Kris took me up into the attic and showed me current insulation thickness and explained what all he would be doing. He and his crew promptly went to work blowing insulation throughout entire attic area over living space. After a few hours Kris came and got me to go back into the attic and show me all the work performed. I had close to R19 before, and after they were done I had closer to an R49 level of insulation. He and his crew cleaned all their work areas and treated my home as if it were his own. I would definately recommend DCT Roofing Solutions to anyone and would not hesitate to use them again. My house is now more comfortable. Great job Kris, and Thank You!!

Overall I have to say I am completely satisfied, any questions or concerns I had in the process Kris was quick to respond and to resolve. I want to share one item to remember and that if you have a satelitte dish on your roof, and it it taken down most likely you will need to schedule a re-alignment with the satelitte vendor and pay for this which insurance will reimburse, you just need to coordinate that schedule or you could be without service for a bit. I am so impressed with Kris and his team. They work tirelessly to insure complete customer satisfaction. I know that I am very demanding and DCT had patience and professional approach to all of my concerns.

DTC added the insulation required to be energy efficent and suggested more ways we could save on heating and cooling cost.

Owner Kris Howard and senior executive Doug Ayers arrived on time with a brand new applicating machine in tow. They placed tarps on the area beneath the attic entrance and were careful to keep the attic door shut during application. They moved holiday decorations and other attic keepsakes to cover before the application began. As they predicted, the process required over three hours with a short break about halfway through for our 3500 sq ft 2-story house. Workers were professional and experienced. Upon completion, they swept the area around the attic and were careful to avoid spreading the barrier to any woodwork or carpeting. Thanks to Kris' many contortions and his perseverance, I could find no decking that had not been appropriately covered with the radiant barrier.

Kris Howard was a dream to work with. He spent time reviewing all of the insurance paperwork with me prior to placing a bid, and explained exactly what the job would entail. On the 3 days of work, each member of the crew was attentive to every detail of their work and they cleaned up the worksite every afternoon before leaving. Kris and the job foreman stayed in touch throughout the 3 days of work to ensure that I was happy and satisfied with the work being done. Once the job was completed, Kris again reviewed all of the paperwork to make sure nothing had been overlooked and ensured my total satisfaction with the work before he would accept payment. I couldn't have asked for a better experience!
