I was having other construction work done and contractor worked with my schedule so everything went smoothly. We were having a couple of weeks of inclement weather, and contractor came out on a Saturday so roof could be finished before next storm hit. He delayed installing new gutters, at my request, until I could have my other construction work completed. Company was easy to work with and answered all my questions as we went along. I hired them because I had used them two years previously to patch my roof and they had been responsive and done a good job.

After calling Kris this morning he had a technician at my house four hours later and within a few minutes he had identified the leak and a couple of potential problem areas. He quickly repaired the leak, sealed the remaining roof vents and performed an inspection on the remainder of the roof. It is sad today but there are few companies out there that place customer service as a priority but that is not the case for DCT Roofing Solutions. I would highly recommend using DCT to anyone needing repairs to their roof and if the need arises I will definitely be calling them again. Thank you again Kris.

Antonio and his helper showed up on time. Spent over 4 hours fixing problems. When everything was completed he explained in detail everything that had been done and why. He was professional and very knowledgeable. The next day, Kris Howard, President, DCT Roofing Solutions called to find out if we had and questions and if we were satisfied with the work. I told him we were very satisfied and would recommend his company to friends and family.

Everything went as plan, I was in a hurry to have the roof replaced because it was leaking and I was afraid it would rain and do farther damage. Mike Hayes was very instrumental in getting the roof replaced as quickly as possible. He quickly got me an estimate that I was very pleased with. The work was started when he said it would, which was within two days. They started the work that morning and was finished by that evening. Everyone was very professional and quick. They did a great job and I will definitely be recommending DCT. Thanks guys!

Excellent! From start to finish DCT made the repairs and replacements a smooth and easy process. They took care of everything, pointed me in the right direction, never once tried to sell me anything I did not want nor need. As a matter of fact they gave me more than what the adjuster stated in his report to my Insurance company. I am so glad I waited a few weeks after the Hail storm hit to get this completed. I had another company come out that was surely going to take advantage of me due to the situation. I was lucky enough to have a good adjuster come out to the house and explain that many companies are trying to lock in as many of these repairs as possible after these types of storms. The Roofing companies were flooding into the areas, knocking on doors and signing folks up, and many of them were taking advantage of folks! After almost being taken advantage of by one of the big roofing outfits, I decided to use Angie's list to help me find a roofer or contractor. I had several come out and after a week or so Mike with DCT came out and we came to a quick agreement. We wrote op the agreement and within a couple of weeks it was all done. I did not meet the rest of the DCT team, just Mike, the foreman and roofers that came out to replace the roof and other items. If they are all like him you cant go wrong in using DCT for your roofing needs! As I stated before, these guys are not out to take advantage of folks during these disaster times, they are out to help you get your life back on track as quickly as possible and went over and above on the repairs and replacements!

They arrived on time and completed the work in one day. everything went very well.

Our roof was severely damaged by the hail storms on 4/3/2014. We found DCT Roofing on Angie's List. We had a great experience with this company. We contacted them and they returned our call within 24 hours. Our company contact was Mitch Grimes, and he was professional, courteous, and very quick to respond to our questions. He walked us through the claims process and made sure we were comfortable every step of the way. The work was done quickly and efficiently and we are very pleased with the results. I would highly recommend this company!

I had shingle damage due to recent storms. I searched Angie's list for a local company near me. I called DCT yesterday and this morning they had a guy out to assess and make the repairs. I also asked if they could paint the chimney as well. Needless to say, all repairs were made today and the chimney is painted...all at a reasonable price. Highly recommend these guys and will always call in the future. Glad I found and happy to support a local company! Thanks Kris.

They're not starting work until Wednesday. They had all the information. All the questions we had, they answered. They're very professional and well-equipped.

Hail storm really did a number on our rental property in Denton. Started contacting other contractors to get bids to do our work, what a waste of time. Should have called DCT Roofing from the beginning, would have saved me a lot of time. Kris and Mike have done work for us before and did a great job. Mike shows up, takes a look at the scope of the work and says "no problem, we can do this". We needed a new roof, along with all new gutters and gutter guard screens. The patio cover was damaged and had to be replaced. There had been some water damage to the patio cover framework, so we had that rebuilt as well. Mike said they could take care of that no problem. Started talking about finding someone to repair the damaged vinyl siding on the house and asked if he could recommend anyone, and he said "I got a guy. We can take care of that too". So I let them... :-) Needless to say, once again they did a great job! All of the work looks fantastic, and it got done in a timely manner. They worked well around our tenants, and did a good job on cleanup after the job was done. Would recommend these guys to anyone, and will call them again in the future. Great job, Mike and Kris!

hailstorm beat the crap out of house and a car that was parked outside. ins est was around 9200. we decided to go back with a much better roof, 130mph(vs 60), and hail resistant(vs not). also, improve attic ventilation, we had turtle vents and a ridge vent, so the ridge vent was pulling air in from the turtle vents, just the top couple of feet in the attic was being vented. so kris removed everything, and put 2 wind turbines. now when the a/c kicks on, it is a lot colder than before. we had to turn the thermostat up. the fence was 10 years old, and showing it's age. all the stain was worn away, lotsa loose pickets, and still several wood poles that were rotting. ryland homes cheaping out, instead of doing it right. we had all the poles removed, and steel ones put in, cemented. extra poles, and extra bracing. a "kicker" board run along the bottom, then powerwashed, and nice oil base stain. this was one of those deals where we were going to have to replace the fence anyway, the storm just made it cost less for a much better fence. same with the roof. it was replaced about 3 years ago from another hailstorm, so this time we paid a bit more, and went back with a much better roof, which also gives us a discount on our homeowner's ins. we really didnt care about the gutters, they still worked, but they were all replaced anyway. so now our house and lot are in better condition than when new. since kris lives in the neighborhood, his company has done lotsa roofs here. everyone is happy. what the heck, we all know where he lives

Waiting for the insurance people to forward claim money for get the job done. When Mr Howard came out with the adjuster to inspect for the claim, he made sure the adjuster did not miss any damage. At the time I was having trouble with my lawn mower. He came out that evening and finished cutting my lawn for me. He is a real gentleman, helpful and kind. His workers replaced the roof next door. It looks like they did a great job. I will amend my review when the work is finished. I really like working with people who genuinely care about their fellow man and go the extra mile to help out. I recommended him to all my neighbors. He has a well deserved, great reputation.

Kris and Mitch replaced our roof after the massive hail storm in early April. They were available and prompt from day one. They knew how to guide us through the process with the insurance company and mortgage company and were very courteous through it all. They did what they said they would do and the roof looks better than it did before the storm. When the workers left, you would have never guessed they were there. They left the yard and driveway looking great with no trash at all. We would highly recommend them and will definitely use them again if need be.

They gave us an evaluation, and they told us that radiant barrier was our best option.

Called Kris @ DCT on Monday 4/14 after noticing a few damaged tiles resulting from high winds and hail. DCT workmen replaced the damaged tiles and resealed all the roof plumbing on Wednesday 4/16. No muss, no fuss. I'll be calling DCT from now on.

I believe the roof repair to be very good. They arrived on time and cleaned everything up very nicely. The workers were nice.

Kris Howard is the owner of the company. He personally came out, did the energy inspection and reviewed the issues we had in our home. I walked through the attics with him as he evaluated everything. He is knowledgeable, and took time to explain what we needed, and what would give us the biggest bang for the buck. He did not oversell, and even though we inquired about installing a full attic radiant barrier, he suggested to first start with getting the attic insulation up to par (ours ranged from almost none in some areas to ~12" at most) and addressing the hot walls. Because our property has a lot of trees that shade the house, he didn't feel the radiant barrier would have as significant an effect compared to if the roof were more fully exposed. Ultimately we ended up agreeing on an R49 (~18") value for the insulation. He uses Owens Corning, which is a good product. He came and did the install, which took about 2.5 - 3 days. They cleaned up when done, and everything went smoothly. We are currently getting bids from Kris for replacing some windows as well. I would definitely be happy to work with him again. BTW, if you have kids, they will love his truck! Ask him to honk his horn. It's insane! ;-)

I was happy with that one. He was trying to sell us stuff, showed up with his girlfriend, it was a weird interaction. I do not remember it was nearly seen after we bought that deal. I guess I just was not very impressed. He is a big talker, tell a lot of stories, I just did not deal like use very focus on the accused, it was more on talking. For what he did, I think $75 is quite a lot. He came in, inspected the attic and walked around the house and looked at the vents. And most of the time, he told me stories about himself and his life. They were very responsive.

Will along time ago my pa always told me a hand shake was a man's word didn't need a contract . Will I think Chris is the kind of man my pa would like . such a clean cut home grown boy. He did a fine job at the senior citizens house at Valley View Texas. Our roof looks so pretty now and no leaks. So if you want a man to do you right try Chris . I got a couple of quotes for repair and decided to go with these guys. They also install new roofs and will definitely call them for a quote after the next major hail storm!

The price was very good and the roof seems to have held up well. Kris was very good and experienced in working with insurance companies. There were a couple of small wrinkles that led be to give a B rating in a couple of categories. I had them replace a window damaged by hail. It probably wouldn't happen again but I found a shard of glass, almost as big as my hand, in the yard. I suspect Kris sub-contracted this work as he probably would have preferred I find someone else to do it for one window. There seemed to be some cash flow challenges which caused a little bit of angst. Kris wanted to be paid for the materials up front before the job was started. I guess that's not unusual for some contractors but not sure I've run into that on a roof before. Not knowing Kris at the time beyond a strong reputation on Angie's List, I elected to go down and pay his supplier directly so I knew the money would go to the materials since it came to around $3,000. There were no real problems with this other than I spent a couple hours driving to Dallas and back. On previous roof replacements, I think the contractors didn't need the materials up front but it wasn't a huge deal. Perhaps the biggest challenge is we were waiting at the end for a supplemental payment from the insurance company for depreciation and cost increases from the estimate. I had paid Kris everything I had from the insurance company when the job was completed but there was a delay of a few days to a week in getting the final check for about $1,100 if I remember right. Kris called me and told me he needed to be paid. I told him I didn't have the check from the insurance company yet. My memory could be off but I think he said that he had already written checks for his crew and needed payment. Fortunately, I got the check from the insurance company the next day if I remember right and we were able to get him his money. At the time, I wasn't real thrilled to be pressed for money I hadn't received from the insurance company when we all knew this was going to be an insurance paid job. Overall, he and his team did real good work on the roof and cleaned up well. He kept me informed and got the job done on time and my tenants were happy. I've since called Kris a couple times to look at houses I'm thinking about buying and he has been very helpful and responsive on those, getting me an opinion and estimate within a day or two. I plan to use him again but will be careful if we are waiting for insurance money so there is no expectation to pay him before I have the money in hand.

Kris is outstanding. He is thoroughly professional, conscientious and reliable. They did everything we needed well before our closing deadline. Completely satisfied.

I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Work was done on time, as scheduled and workmanship appears to be very good. Shingles have been on for about six months through some pretty heavy weather, with no problems. They handled every aspect of the insurance claim; I received exactly the amount that they said I was due and I had to do nothing but open the envelope with the check in it when it came. Due to their excellent pricing, using the Class 4 hail resistant shingle resulted in over $600 per year in savings on homeowner's insurance, with a payback period of about 2 1/2 years vs. using a 30 year shingle.
