BCI Mechanical Inc‎

Our gas water heater broke and leaked water everywhere. After calling BCI, they arrived promptly and started working on the problem. In the morning we had lost our water heater, but by the evening we had hot water thanks to BCI. To upgrade the installation, they installed a leak pan under the new water heater along with a water activated shut-off switch to the inlet pipe of the water heater. They also installed an expansion tank above the water heater. They changed the venting in the closet to pull in air from the attic rather than from the house. The two men who performed the work were knowledgeable and professional; their work was impeccable.

We could not be more pleased. We received an estimate the same day we contacted BCI and had our new water heater less than twenty-four hours later. Johnny and Daniel were prompt, knowledgeable, efficient, and professional. We will most definitely call on them for all our plumbing needs.

BCI came quickly and promptly solve the problem.

We had a singing pipe, a running toilet, and a loose shower handle. The insides of our toilet tanks were old style and acting their age. We checked Angie's List, called BCI, and they sent Jeff to take care of our "plumbing job jar items." He was prompt, courteous, explained what was needed, what he was going to do, and took care of our plumbing concerns. We will be asking for Jeff in the future! (The discount for Angie's List members was a plus, too.)

Mr Lee arrived promptly. He was very courteous and friendly. Thoroughly completed the work. Double checked his results.

He came on Sunday and did the work. On Monday, we came back to the house and turned on the cold water in the shower, and the hot water handle was leaking. They came back that day to fix the problem, and now it works perfectly. It was a job well done, and they did not charge extra to come back out and fix it.

They were prompt about an estimate and when they came out to do the work, they made sure the employee who came out for the estimate was the one who came out to do the job. He did good work.

We made a Wednesday appointment in order to leave the old toilets out for pick up on Thursday. However, they were too busy and called us at 4pm on Wednesday, telling us that they had to push our appointment to the next day. Other than that, Johnny did a very good job from the beginning to the end, including helping us moving the old toilets to the trash truck (yes, the job was completed just in time for the trash pick up). This was the third time that we used BCI's service. We are happy with them, they are very professional and knowledgeable. Although the price is a little high, it is worthwhile.

The appointment was scheduled for "around 2:00 p.m." I received a telephone call at 1:27 PM informing me that they were on their way. They arrived before 2:00 PM. They assessed the situation, explained what would be necessary for the installation, provided an approximate length of time for installation, completed the job well within that time frame, and cleaned the area before leaving. All in all, a positive experience!

The tenant was very happy with them. I had asked that they call me before going over $200 which they forgot to do and sent me a bill for maybe 20% over that. I reminded them of that and they revised the bill to an even $200. In most cases, it appears they replaced vs. adjusted the items which may have made more sense, I don't have the expertise of a plumber. I had asked the tenant to let me know when they were scheduled to come but that didn't happen and may have led to some of the miscommunication. I also asked for a bid to bring the water heater up to code which was about $1075 and included replacing it. I was told it was 13 years old but a previous plumber told me it was seven years old. I mentioned to them that it probably would have made sense to discuss the valve to the hot water heater vs. replace it since if I elected to do the code upgrade, it would have ended up having to be replaced. Over all they were very nice and I suspect at least part of the challenge was that they were talking to the tenant who probably had little concern if they went over even though I had told BCI and the tenant in advance I was only authorizing up to $200 unless we first discussed and I agreed to go higher, which I may have, if that discussion had occurred. The net is they were nice and adjusted the bill down to what I had pre-authorized. They like Angie's List members. I was told they would provide a 10% discount on the bill for finding them on Angie's List and 10% on the next bill if I give them a review. I would use them again.

They are good guys. They are very experienced. They were very quick and got the job done.

I had used BCI Mechanical before and have been happy with them. I would never had considered purchasing the water heaters through them, but someone on Angie's List recommended it and based on that we did a little research and went "oh yeah, this makes total sense." There wasn't that much of a cost saving for us to go to Home Depot and buy something and have them install it. It was all just fine. They are great. They touch base with you, they give you a window of when they are coming, technicians call to tell you they are on their way, and they got it done without a problem. I am sure if there was a problem they would have taken care of it. It was a positive experience. They are a good company. I'd give them As. The price was fine. You pay for something good, so you got something good.

Very good service, especially thanks for Johnny (Sorry if I mis-spell the name). I rated every item with "A". Also the lady pick up the phone. It is really happy experience to have their service!

Johnny acted professionally at all times, but was also very pleasant and answered my questions without making me feel like I was bothering him. It was a very positive experience. I WILL call BCI and ask for Johnny Lee the next time I need plumbing services!

We had to replace 900 feet of failed PEX water line with 2 inch PVC. Required trenching and backhoe work thru cow pasture. The work quality was excellent and even though because of the rocks in the soil, it required a backhoe instead of the expected trencher. With the added cost of the job, the bid did not increase. We are very satisfied with the workmanship. Greg Coward of BCI was a pleasure to work with.

BCI Mechanical Inc. were really prompt. The man was really nice, we had a really good conversation. It was cheaper than I thought it was going to be. He was very fast and efficient. I am satisfied with the job he did. I would use them again in the price.

Arrived, saw the problem and fixed it immediately with as little disruption to the rest of the house as possible. They explained every step of the process, and even showed me how to fix the problem in the future should it ever happen again... Completely professional the entire time.

Overall BCI did a great job and have been very easily reached even after the job completion to answer any questions we have asked.

They came right out. He was very reasonable. He was outstanding.

Jason Boatwright was AWESOME..this guy was able to diagnose the problems with 2 toilets, leave to get more parts, had to turnoff and on the water, remove old parts and repair both toilets, provide me an education and detailed discussion about the clogged lines and ballpark an estimate for fixing the clogged pipes (which will eventually require replacement for any fix that won't be more than temporary), and arrived ON TIME at 8:00 am, wrote me up and I paid the bill and he was GONE by 9:15 am...THAT IS nothing short of OUTSTANDING...WE WILL USE BCI AND ASK FOR JASON for whatever else needs be done soon as we can afford it. THANK YOU Megan...especially for finding time to get all this done less than 24hrs from when I first called and Thank you BCI & ESPECIALLY JASON !

It was a great experience. The person who set up the appointment was very nice. The plumber was super nice. He explained everything to me and was very helpful when we found out how expensive the part I needed was for the shower. And the toilet that was 'fixed' 20 times but still always ran finally stopped running after he fixed it. The man that came out was named Johnny Lee, we will request him the next time we need work done.

Overall, the experience has been good. It’s fairly easy to get an appointment with them, and they call beforehand. The technicians arrive on time, have been very honest and don’t do anything that’s not needed. They’re careful not to track dirt in, are very respectful in listening to what I have to say, and explain to me the work that’s being done. There haven’t been any extra charges, and their prices are reasonable. They’ve been a great company to work with!

They installed new faucets, and new drains in our home. We were pleased with the job, and thought the price was competitive. I would use BCI again.

My a/c broke down. Called BCI because of good reports on Angie's List. Very prompt. Very professional. Explained my options and made the best deal possible in my situation. Couldn't do work that day because of their schedule and told me it would be a few days. Loaned me a window unit. Called a few hours after leaving and said they had a cancellation and could come back that evening. Wonderful people.
