Without a doubt this is the BEST foundation company. What an incredibly ethical company that does not just give you an estimate but advises you to have a structural engineer determine the repair requirements. They will recommend engineers but it is your choice who you use. If you go with The Foundation Company they will pay for the engineers report. Although I used an engineering company The Foundation Company recommended, it was apparent from the engineer that he had no relationship with The Foundation Company since the engineer recommended other companies (so I could get several bids). I wanted to put in laminate floors after the foundation work and the Foundation company worked with me on scheduling so that could coordinate the foundation work followed by the floor installation. I had been told that the dust would be terrible. It was NOT. They do a technique during installation to minimize the dust. It only took two days to do all the work. Since I was in the house the night there were the holes inside in the foundation. They covered all the holes with wood to ensure my safety. When the work was done, the crew cleaned up completely, even wiping down my tile floor. I had the structural engineer come back and do a compliance report. I had to pay for that but to me it was worth it. The engineer said The Foundation Company did an excellent job. The repair calculations were perfect. The structural engineer was impressed. I only wish my floor installation had gone as good as the foundation repair.

I like the fact they gave me several options.

After contacting multiple companies for estimates, I chose Luis and The Foundation Company. He was not only the most thorough with the inspection, he was also the best price and most personable. We had to have 34 piers installed (combination of internal and external) which I made sure to be at home for during the week of the service. Service began Monday morning and continued until Wednesday evening, where the plumbers had to get involved. We ended up with a plumbing leak which isn't unusual for the amount or raising we needed. As a testament to Luis and his company, he covered the cost of a pipe repair that was happened during the opening of the hole in our entryway. The plumbing portion of the job ended up lasting until the following Monday, but once again Luis stepped up and let one of his workers assist the plumbers with chiseling and cleanup in order to save us money. The leak was in a portion of the pipe that was encased in concrete and had to be chiseled out to gain access. His choice of plumber was great and they were very helpful in getting the job done as soon as possible. They even came out on a Sunday (Super Bowl Sunday) to continue work on the leak. Overall, I was thrilled with the work that was done even though it took longer than any of us expected. I would have no qualms about recommending Luis and The Foundation Company for any foundation repair or service in the future (although I hope I never have to).

It didn't. They never contacted me.

Luis was able to get his crew on site about a week earlier than scheduled. They did everything over the course of 2 days. In all, the whole process took less than a week. Everybody was friendly, accommodating and professional. They avoided jack-hammering in the morning out of consideration to the neighbors. Landscaping was treated well and shrubs were re-planted. Concrete holes were repaired well. Their patch even matched some ugly concrete patio that has embedded aggregate without me asking. During digging, the freshwater line got cut. They repaired it without hassle or flooding the place and I was only without water for about 24 hours. After the repair, his contracted plumber found a leak in the drain that was most likely a pre-existing leak. They were also very accommodating getting this repaired in accordance with their warranty. Overall, I was not pressured or upsold on anything. The repair went well and was painless.

Luis of The Foundation Company was able to provide an estimate and schedule a repair in less time than another company was even able to send someone out to look at the house. The Foundation Company team was prompt, very professional, worked with good attention to the interior condition of the house, and did a good job of cleaning up afterwards. They were also able to finish their work a day faster than they had estimated. They weren't the cheapest contractor I was able to find, but they operated with a visible expertise that gave me confidence that my house was in good hands. The follow-up analysis of the plumbing lines identified the likely source of the problem: a leak in the main water line to the house. My one complaint with their service is that the plumber they used to perform the final analysis provided a very high quote for the repair; an alternate company was able to do the work at about half the cost. Beyond that one smudge their services were excellent and I recommend them without hesitation.

They’ve done great work! We’ve never had to call them back regarding touch-ups or repairs because they do their work well the first time around. I’ve been very, very pleased with their service, and I think their prices are reasonable. I would highly recommend them!

The team arrived shortly after 8 in the morning, and immediately got to work, piling the soil onto tarps so that the lawn was not damaged. Within the first hour, one of the workers hit the water line, and we had to turn off the water to the house. The owner of the business, who was on site, immediately called for a plumber at their expense to repair the damage. (Apparently businesses such as this normally don't cover damages incurred in the course of their work)... All our questions were answered, and we did not feel that we needed to oversee the work. Within just a few hours, the house was leveled and the team was putting back our shrubs in the front. I should note that when our neighbor had his foundation repaired, the workers tore out all of his landscaping, and it's still bare over there, looking awful. But, ours was only dug up exactly where the concrete needed to go, and when they were finished, everything was put back (with one exception that we agreed to beforehand.) By 2pm, the team was finished and gone, leaving hardly a trace of having been here, and the engineer had come by to inspect the work performed and hand us the final report. Our work has a transferable warranty, and we were very pleased with this company. When and if we have foundation issues in another part of the house, we will be calling them again, no question. Two things that I would improve that would have made this experience flawless: first, I would have liked a call perhaps the night before to confirm that they were indeed coming the next day. We set up our appointment to do the work about two weeks in advance, and it would have been nice to hear that they hadn't forgotten. Second, as mentioned before, the owner was present for all the work. We were to pay half down at the beginning of work, and the other half when work was completed. Unfortunately, when we went to pay the half down, he didn't have his copy of the proposal with him, so I had to get mine from inside the house. That could have been better. Also, while they advertise that they take American Express, they prefer not to (apparently AX takes a long time to pay.) So while I was looking forward to getting 3000 reward points, we went ahead and paid by check. Other than that minor stuff, it was a great experience and I'll be happy to refer friends to this company.

It went really well. They arrived as scheduled on day one to dig the holes for the piers. The men worked amazingly quick, digging neatly without disturbing much of our landscaping. We were amazed how quickly and deep they were able to dig by hand. The next day they came back and began installing the piers and leveling the house. We had minimal brick cracks and they put all the dirt, landscaping and concrete in our patio back as if they were never there. The same day the engineer came with the owner, Luis, and inspected the work and gave us our final engineering report. As we are also selling our house, Luis was very responsive when we had questions about our Transferable Warranty. I would recommend them.

Very very well. Luis is very very professional and good at what he does. He and the men who work for him are hard workers and well mannered. They are busy and they should be. They were also easy to work with and the price was fair.

The overall experience with The Foundation Company was a very good one. Due to my particular situation, I was at home during the entire process. Luis and his crew were punctual, hardworking, and very professional throughout the process. I would certainly recommend using The Foundation Company to anyone in need of foundation repair.

They did a great job for a small price of about 500.00. No problems since then. Other companies wanted more $ and were willing to do less.

They were good enough to tell the truth and now we know our home foundation is in good shape. The gentleman they sent out was courteous and thorough; and he checked everything he could think of and he was much appreciated.

I am so glad I checked Angie's List before deciding on a company for my pier and beam foundation. I'd had one man from another local company come out a few months before joining the list, and he casually walked around my house before quoting a price that seemed a little steep for such a cursory examination. Luis responded to calls within 24 hours. He came out and actually checked underneath the house, walked the perimeter and took measurements before explaining to me what needed to be done. Everything he told me made sense and I knew what was going to happen with my house and why. His quote price was also less than what the previous contractor had quoted. When the day came for the work to be done, Louis and his team were extremely professional and courteous. When they discovered as they were working that a beam needed to be added to keep my house from sagging in one area, Louis went back to the warehouse and got it - no extra charge. They also replaced a concrete corner on the outside of my house at no extra cost. When they were finished, Louis walked me around the house and showed me the measurements again so that I could see the repairs that had been made. He also stopped by the next day when I asked him to check on something for me. I would absolutely, positively reccommend The Foundation Company. You are going to get quality work from good people at a good price.

Overall, we feel that the extensive measuring & mapping of the floor displacement with a Ziplevel (high tech "water level") was used to sell repairs that were not needed. Our engineer performed the same measurements but noted the majority of the house was within normal tolerances except for the area near the tree. Note: Installing piers on the side might not have fixed the problem of the tree, especially as it grows further under the house and removes moisture from the middle of the foundation leading to the possibility of needing expensive interior piers.

The Foundation Company provided a complete explanation and firm quote on the first visit. Luis Capote was very knowledgeable. The repair started when promised and was finished in 5 days. The work was done on a 3900 square foot two-story house which had had a foundation repair 11 years earlier. Every location planned for a pier was discussed in advance. The dust and dirt were minimal and we were able to stay in the upstairs part of our home throughout the work. Luis discussed the need for permits and an independent structural engineer's assessment as part of the preplanning. The price quoted was the price we paid - no add ons!! Luis was really the only one of the 5 companies who addressed the need for the permitting and the structural engineer's report for the city of Fort Worth. The job was started when promised and finished when planned.

The Foundation Company came out, went under out house and looked at the foundation. They then recommended what it would take to repair some movement we had in a central wall. We had talked to multiple foundation companies who recommended shimy to pier addition. The Foundation Company was punctual, effiecent and their price was very competitive.

Great company. Luis is a true professional who takes his relationship with his clients seriously. There were not surprises and his constant communication made me very comfortable with every step. I recommend this company highly.

Luis was very busy (and for good reason), so I had to wait a week to get an estimate - but it was so worth the wait! They were able to put me on their schedule within a week. I was unable to be in town when the work was done and we had to reschedule once due to ice and snow storms. I had to place a tremendous amount of trust in the hands of the work crew, as only my mildly austistic son was on hand during the work. Luis managed his crew very effectively and communicated very clearly with my son. There were more than enough hands to get the job done quickly and efficiently. He and his crew were very careful to clean up after themselves and very respectful of my home. My son and his roommate were blown away when they noticed Luis and his crew sweeping every day and mopping my floors on the last day...making sure that all dirt tracked from under my house was cleaned up. My son's roommate has been in construction and maintenance work since he was 16 and he was extremely impressed with the quality and thoroughness of the work and attitude of the crew. I would highly recommend this company.

Out of four companies providing estimates, I felt that this one gave the most value for the work needing to be done. I was impressed with Luis's professionalism and manner. His crew arrived on time and completed the work on time. Because of the extent of leveling needed on one side of the garage, a gap opened up at the door to the patio. Luis and his crew secured the door before they left. The door from the garage to the house which has been difficult to open now opens and closes easily. Gaps that had existed between the between the garage door and the walls of the garage for years are now closed. A few weeks after the foundation work was completed, I discovered that an irrigation pipe in my flower bed next to the garage had been broken. I called Luis,and he promptly sent one of his crew out to repair the pipe. If I ever needed foundation work in the future, I would definitely want Luis's company to do the job and highly recommend him to anyone needing this service.

I had bad experiences with foundation repair in the past, so the current work was long overdue. Of the three estimates I got, Mr. Capote's seemed to present the best assessment of the problems and the best means of solution. I was especially impressed by Mr. Capote's quiet professionalism. The estimate was prompt, thorough, and carefully explained; phoned in questions were answered equally promptly; the work began on schedule and was done efficiently in two days by a foreman and crew who clearly knew what they were doing and who, as a courtesy, patched cracks in the concrete foundation.
