I called for an appointment to get an estimate for my windows to be replaced. We set up the first appontment. No one showed. I called the company back to find out why. They said my husband had called and cancelled the appointment that morning. I told them this was impossible as he did not even know who I had contacted or the phone number. I called him back to confirm. He said of course not he did not call. I called to company back they apoligized and we set up another appointment. The day came and they called me to cancel because the salesman was sick. We set up a 3rd appointment for a Monday the 27th. On Saturday the 25th they called and wanted to reschedule because they were very busy that day. My husband told them no they can't reschedule a 3rd time. Later he told me he did not want me to do business with a company that treated us that way. On Monday I called and cancelled.
Description of Work: I was wanting a window estimate.

Statewide completed three smaller bathroom updates before we let them do our Master Bathroom. Happy with all their work. The indiviual contractors they used were top notch! The tilers, plumber, electrian, etc. all did an outstanding job. We had to go through Statewide to call the plumber back out because we had a whistling in the hot water faucet on the tub. It took longer than I wanted for him to come back out but when he did, we have not had anymore problems with the whistling.
Description of Work: Really great experience with Statewide gutting and building out our Master Bathroom. We replaced tub, shower, cabinets, changed placement of existing towel closet, new sinks, fixtures, lighting, tile, closet door trim, added block glass window. Think that's everythings. The individual workers were wonderful! We both will use Statewide again. Great experience.

I am satisfied with the work. There were some mistakes but they honored everything. They had one window that was ordered wrong. It wasn't the guys who came and measured but the guy in the office who ordered it. It didn't take long to replace, maybe a couple of weeks. We chose them because friend of ours' mother had used them and was very happy with them. I wanted aluminum windows and they told us that they don't keep out the cold and heat. We went with the vinyl windows and they are very energy efficient and sound efficient. I got lucky and they put their top guys on the job. I would use them again. They called not too long ago as a followup and do see if we needed any other remodeling done. I can only represent my personal experience. Would I recommend them? Yes, I would.
Description of Work: We changed all our windows out with Statewide Remodeling. They are double paned and have a lifetime warranty. The person who I was in contact with was Ken Hilton. He was the senior designer. We replace a lot of windows, in fact, we went with some big picture windows and we went with their top of the line windows.

The sales rep was great and very helpful. We had a very complex design because we were joining two structures together. Their installers were fantastic at planning the pergola for what we wanted. It turned out great.

This was an eye opening experience on the type of remodeling services being offered to homeowners. I wish if Statewide wasn't interested in doing this project they would have been honest up front and communicated that to us.
Description of Work: It all started with a quick trip to Home Depot to pick up a few items for weekend projects. I was approached in the store and asked if I would be interested in a bathroom remodel consultation, we have been considering remodeling our master bath and I thought this would be a good starting point. I scheduled the appointment 2 weeks out so that, as requested my husband and I would both be home. I received a call 2 days prior to confirm and asked if I could reschedule until the next week. I explained that this appointment had been scheduled for 2 weeks and in order for us both to be home it would have to be on the scheduled day. I received a call back that they had moved appointments around and a Design Consultant would be there. The gentlemen arrived on schedule and spent 3 hours discussing options and showing us the products that Statewide will install. He explained how Home Depot promotes this company for bath/kitchen remodels and they have to meet a quality standard to continue working with Home Depot. We discussed verbal costs and I was told we would receive a quote within the week. After a week passed and I heard nothing, I emailed the consultant and he explained he had been experiencing health issues. Another week passed and I emailed the Statewide website to inquire if someone would follow-up as I didn't want to disturb this gentlemen if he had health issues. No reponse. I finally stopped by the Statewide(Austin) showroom to see if someone else could assist with our quote and the consultant was there for a sales meeting, he assured me he was working on our quote and we would have it in the next 24 hours he had more health issues. After still not receiving a quote, I contacted home depot customer care website to inform them of the lack of response on services they are promoting. A quick response and a few calls later from Home Depot and a Statewide Rep., I received the quote from our consultant. I have to say I was stunned by their pricing, when we initially meet with the consultant we verbally discussed cost for a bathroom remodel of 150 sq. ft., the quote we received was twice the amount discussed for a mid-level bath remodel. The quote was for $420.00 a sq. ft. I replied to the consultant explaining our surprised and followed-up with Home Dept to inform them we finally received the quote and how shocked we were with pricing. Home Depot's response was that they are not involved with the pricing by a company they are promoting their services?

The experience went pretty well overall. They were responsive and always returned my calls, but it took a lot longer than we thought it'd take (almost 5 months). Some factors were uncontrollable whereas others, such as getting the right parts, could've been done quicker. In the end, we were pleased with their work.

Ladies, Statewide does not want to do business with women. I talked to a Statewide rep at a Dallas home and garden show in late Feb. I told the gentleman that i wanted separate estimates for two replacement window, a patio door installation and kitchen remodeling. He said that would be scheduled, and possibly a second estimator would come to do the kitchen estimate. He asked for dates when I and my husband would be available. I said I would be paying for these repairs myself, and I suggested dates to fit my schedule. A Statewide rep did come to my home as scheduled. We discussed what he was to estimate, and asked if my husband was going to join us. I said that I would be making the decisions and funding any work to be done. After measuring the rep said he would take a couple of days to work up the estimates and get back to me. He asked if there would be a time where he could bring the estimates back and explain them, to both me and my husband. I was a bit short with the rep at this point. I said again that my husband wasn't interested in a sales visit, and to let me know what the estimates were, and I would be deciding on which bid I accepted. The rep left me with assurances that he would work up a good estimate for me. I did not receive any estimate, or a call back from anyone at Statewide to date. I can only assume they do not want to do business with women.
Description of Work: I requested Statewide give me an estimate to replace two windows and install a patio door. I had also requested a kitchen remodeling estimate, but the rep who came to my house did not estimate kitchens.

Member I can assure we want to do business with women. It does appear from your review that we did not follow up properly with you. It is our standard business practice to ask for all interested parties to be present for the free estimate. although it is free to the homeowner there is a cost on our end and especially if we have to go back several times to answer questions. We give hundred's of free estimates every week. So we always request both parties to be there. This would be the case if it was your husband & not you that wanted the estimate. If a homeowner says they are the decision maker & the other homeowner will not be present we give those folks their free estimate as well. If you still want an estimate from my company please contact me directly & i will have a manager get you what you need. Again i appoligize for the lack of follow up Frank Manzare VP/Partner 214-475-3334

It has been awful. The work has been ongoing, and we are still not satisfied. There is one little area that my husband doesn't think was finished correctly. I have had a phone call in with them for two weeks and they haven't called me back. At one point we went three weeks without a tub and it was a big mess. They did a shoddy job. We had to have someone else come out and finish the caulking. They are punctual. I would never use them again in the future.

I was given Statewide Remodel's name by someone at Home Depot while looking into some home improvement projects. I was planning on getting my covered patio screened in and requested an appointment using their online contact form. I got a call back the same day (Thur or Friday) from someone called Andy and I explained that I just wanted to screen off my covered patio and that there would be just one wall of screens required. An appointment was setup for Monday, 3/26. I was pleased that they could come out so quickly. On Friday, I got a call from some lady from their office asking me if she could reschedule. I was willing to do that and we were discussing possible alternatives when she started talking about how people ask for estimates without having a clue of how much it would cost and wasting their time. I told her that there was no way of knowing the cost without getting an estimate and that I was also looking for the same. She immediately started questioning me about what the job was about and when I explained that it was for screening one wall of a covered patio, she said that it was not going to be worth their while to send somebody out since it would not cost below $10,000 and I was better off canceling the appointment. I was taken aback and asked her if it would not be better to have someone come out and take a look and give me an estimate before we did that and she said no, let's just cancel so that's what I did. Now, after reviewing all the reports, I am actually glad I did. I don't want to have someone come out and do a slipshod job because it is not worth their time or money to take on such a small job!!!
Description of Work: I have a covered patio enclosed between the arms of my house, forming a U. I was looking to get the fourth wall screen off so that we could use the space without bugs, etc. getting in the way. The portion to be screened off is 32 ft x 10 ft

I am not questioning what you where told but we do jobs as low as $1,500. That is our minimum. We install on average 250 jobs a month and we do make some mistakes. I can assure you when an issue is brought to our attention it is addressed in a timley maner! I will look into this. There has to be more to this story. I am going to have them a failing grade here. The installation was ok, but a month later we developed some serious leaks in the shower. We reported it 4 months ago, and still they have not come out to fix it. It looks great, but the weorkmanship, and then the follow up was not really up to standard.

This was a classic case of promises being made during the sale, and the reality was no where near what was promised. We are pleased with how the finished product looks, but based on the process don’t have a lot of confidence in the quality/durability of the products or what will happen if there are problems. We went with Statewide based on their size, the fact they had been around for so long and would be there to back their work. The salesmen repeatedly referred to the company's stability (not another Chuck in a truck) and how the company would be around to honor warranties and stand behind the products. Ironically, in hindsight, their claims about warranty backing information is not readily included in the contract and extensive paperwork you sign. I did not receive any written information on what do do if there was a problem or who to call, or exactly what specific product warranties covered or for how long. They also assured us a project manager would oversee the job on-site every step of the way and we would always know what was going on and our project would be worked on start to finish (no pulling crews for other jobs) . That probably was true until the project started. I received a call on a Thursday verifying Statewide would be out on the following Monday to begin and should be wrapped up by the end of the week. The workers on-site (who were usually pretty good ) were the only contact we had with anyone from Statewide unless we initiated a call. When the project started they worked for three days straight (Mon-Wed) , then no activity Thursday (no calls from Statewide about anything, according to the guys on-site they were pulled to finish another job). I called Friday to find out what was going on and was told a tile crew was on their way (they did not show). We have dogs we were boarding ($40/day) and we boarded them for two days with no workers, no call, and no apology or accountability. In the middle of this confusion another P.M. called to say he was being pulled in and would be helping to coordinate work on the project. That made things worse with the two PM's not communicating on what was completed and what was being done, and two people not taking responsibility for the project and both being fairly indifferent to my concerns. The guys who were there Mon-Wed showed up Saturday (no one called to let us know one way or another) and finished their part of the project and left that afternoon saying they would not be back and not sure who would be coming next or when. I received a call at 8:55 the following Monday morning from PM 2 telling me a tile crew was on their way and they actually showed up. They did most of the work then left . I had to call PM 2 to find out the plan for the next day. Workers actually showed up and finished the majority of the entire project on Tuesday and Wednesday. The last worker had not pulled out of the drive ( and had not cleaned up the job site...I know it is a construction site, but it is our house also). Wednesday afternoon when PM 1 was on the phone telling me he was on the way to do the final walk through and request payment. He made it to my house amazingly fast for that part of the project. We walked through and I pointed out my concerns and things that needed to be finished. I was glad we were almost done because based on time frames from Statewide we had workers from another company scheduled to come in the following Monday . There were four things that needed to be completed. PM 1 was adamant and persistent for me to sign off on final approval and pay. He looked me in the eye and gave me his word they would finish the punch list before the other workers arrived so as not to interfere the rest of the project. I consider myself a person of integrity and honor, so I signed off and paid with PM 1's assurance it would be a priority to get it done. Apparently integrity and honor are not as valued at Statewide. I received a call Thursday from PM 2 that PM 1 had asked him to get this wrapped up. PM 2 said and quot;his guyand quot; would call in a couple of days to get it scheduled and completed. I called PM 2 back Monday morning after his guy had failed to call me. His guy called me Tuesday morning to schedule for a week out. I told him that was unacceptable and called PM 2 and advised him I needed someone at my house to finish the project Wednesday or Thursday. He called me back later with a worker scheduled for Thursday. The worker showed up Thursday and had no idea what all he had to do. He was at the house all day, and had to work as other contractors finished their project but got it completed except for one thing he could not do because of the rain. He committed to come by the following week and finish, and followed through on his commitment. I have over 20 years of customer service experience in addition to project management and construction contractor experience. This was a primer on all of the things successful companies avoid. There was no customer contact, no respect for the customer's situation or time, no acceptance of responsibility or accountability, no real attention to details. There has been no follow up, no and quot;this is what you do if there are problemsand quot;, no and quot;we appreciate your business, thank youand quot;. I really hope we have no warranty issues, as I am afraid it would be close to impossible finding someone at Statewide to take ownership and resolve it properly. Even though we are happy with how things look, it was a disappointing experience.
Description of Work: We contracted with Statewide Remodeling (dba Luxury Bath Systems of DFW) to remodel our master bathroom... they were hired to replace the shower, remove the tub, re-tile the floor, replace the counter top on existing cabinets, hang a new light fixture and two mirrors, and replace sheetrock/drywall around the old tub.

I have no problem with the actual work done. The work was of high quality and anything that wasn't done correctly the first time or broken during the installation were corrected. The cabinets, while not done properly the first time, were taken care of and all problems were solved. I understand things happen in the construction process and didn't have a problem with this as long as they were fixed - which they were. The tile back splashes are very nice. The counter tops are wonderful as well. I did have a few problems however. During the sales process I was told it was going to take two weeks. It ended up taking a full month. I was also somewhat not quite satisfied with the communication that went on during the construction process. I seemed to be the one that had to initiate all of the phone calls and if I hadn't then I would have never known what was going to happen and when. I was also told things during the sales process that turned out to not to be true. It didn't affect the project work or the contracted labor, just the way that he handled things reflected very poorly on their company. The salesman told me one day he submitted my paperwork to the office one morning and when I didn't get any information back, I called the company the next day - they said they had only gotten it that morning. (24 hours later than initially told) I decided after booking the job with Statewide, that I would also re-do the tile floors as well (using another company) and they were willing to work with me and work around that contractor to make all the work happen so that was a plus in their corner as well.

They did not put up molding or faceplates on the outlet. When I brought this to their attention, they came out and installed it. Since then, I've noticed problems with their work including no doorstop to prevent the door from hitting the wall, the sink stopper does not plug the drain, and a half-inch gap in the floorboards. The paint job is awful. The paint is starting to flake off between the mirror and the light. The originally installed the towel holder in the wrong spot. When they raised higher on the wall, the didn't patch the first holes properly. I called Dusty, the project manager, on January 12. I left a message with Blaine, but no one has returned my call. None of the managers have come out to my home to inspect the job, but I'm hoping someone will.

I spoke to Blane and he says he left the customer a voice message last week and she returned the call & stated she is hard to catch due to her schedule which requires her to travel. I looked at the file and there is a signed completion cerfificate stating all work was done to customers satisfaction. My understanding after the job was done the customer called and stated the crew did not due a good job of cleaning the job site and some small punch list items. We have returned to the job site to correct those issues as well as to perform additional work for the customer that was not in the contract nor where they charged for. We have a workmanship guarentee for as long as our customers own their home. With 18 years in business we will always stand behind this and correct any issues that arrise after the initial installation. I don't understand why we got low scores on all counts and now an overal D when it appears we have responded to every call and done additional good faith work to try to compensate for concerns of this customer Frank Manzare VP/Partner

Initially, the salesman was very nice and knowledgeable of the products that were available from his company. I should have known things were fishy when he had to call his "supervisor" for how to fill out the quote but all in all the salesperson experience was acceptable. Then the problems began. I received 3 separate phone calls, each during the workday, from different "groups" within statewide remodeling all asking the same questions and trying to set up the same appointment to come and install the barrier. Turns out this initial appointment was just to go out and remeasure the attic to confirm the initial measurements taken by the salesmen. During the sales job I had been promised multiple extras, like blowing the insulation off the eaves and installing a barrier to keep the insulation, or any subsequent insulation, from being blown back over the eaves. This second measuring contractor had no idea what I was talking about and we basically had to go through the same process and explain everything that had been discussed during the sales job. Then after another excruciating scheduling debacle, comes the big installation day, and much to my surprise it is not even a statewide remodeling crew that shows up to do the installation. It is a non-English speaking Champion energy crew. I do not mean that in a condescending manner, but it was difficult to communicate with them due to both of our inabilities to speak each others language. The crew was extremely efficient and managed to complete a job that was quoted as a full two day job in just 8 hrs. I wrote this off as another Statewide blunder. The gentlemen left and I was not invoiced for the service and no paperwork was left what so ever. About two months later I get a call from Statewide about a final inspection. They come and of course tell me that the job was done incorrectly and that they will have to come out and fix the installation that was done. The workers showed up in an unmarked truck, dispensing cigarettes in front of my house just before the walked up with a broken window covered by a black trash bad. I could seriously go on for another 1000 words to describe the unprofessionalism and my overall disappointment with Statewide remolding. I will never use their services again and strongly encourage anyone else to do the same.
Description of Work: I contracted Stewide remodeling to install a radiant barrier energy shield in my attic. The barrier was installed, eventually, the attic vents were expanded and insulation was blown off of the undereave vents to improve circulation.

my apologies for the problems on this job. there are a couple of circumstances that i believe need to be addressed. This customer never mentions in his statement that he got other bids yet rates our price as a D? I have a completion certificate in the file signed by the customer stating that he was satisfied with the work and the job was complete. Yes we use sub contractors on certain product installations and do not deny that. Any installer that works for our company must first pass a background check. English speaking is not required. We usually have at least one English speaking supervisor or lead man on each job. We have used Champion Insulation in the past to help with installs when we are behind. Again their personnel must have a back ground check. I am sorry they smoked cigarettes in front of the house that is hard to control. We do instruct our crews to not smoke on the customers property and dispose of the left over cigarettes properly. I cannot confirm that we had to redo some of the work but if we did i as a homeowner would be happy that the contractor was honest about the mistakes vs. trying to cover them up. I would say based on knowing both sides of the story this should be in my opinion a C rating not an F. But i do understand the home owners frustration but in closing feel his rating of an F is not warranted. I thought they did a real good job. They were good at communicating with us to figure out what we wanted. They knew everything to do and how it do it correctly to make sure everything was constructed very sturdy. They were very diligent in working with my wife to make sure it was exactly what she wanted. I would recommend them. I was very happy with the work and that they knew exactly what to do.
Description of Work: They redid part of our bathroom for us. I had talked to plumbers for years converting a bathtub to a shower but we needed strong handrails and support because my wife is disabled. They were able to construction this conversion for us and take out our bathtub and install a shower.

I have had two experiences with Statewide Remodeling. I have never used them but had called them two times for quotes on bathroom renovations we were planning on two separate baths at two separate times. The main reason we did not use them was because they were very and quot;pushyand quot; when it came time to so call and quot;seal the dealand quot;. Both times they were very friendly when talking about their product and how superior it was and just assumed that we were going to sign with them right then and there. After they gave us their quote (which I personally though was a little high for what we wanted done) we told them we wanted to think about it and wanted to get a few more quotes. Both times their personality changed and they became very irritated. I know that they may feel like they wasted their time (they were their about 1-1/2 to 2 hours because that is about how long it takes for them to talk about their product and examine your baths) but I thought that is what a and quot;free estimateand quot; mean and not that you have to sign with them that very day or else something is wrong with you and that is just how they made us feel. I do not like to be pressured into making decisions at the and quot;spur of the momentand quot; when you are spending large sums of money without taking time to think on it and getting comparisons from other companies. No matter how great a job they do as far as their quality of work is concerned, I would never call them again because of the pressure they put on me and how quickly their attitude changed when we did not sign that very night. The first time we thought may be it was just because of the person but after the second time with the same experience of being pressured I think they may be that is just their tactic. Give me and quot;Chuck in a truckand quot; as they like to say about their competitors any day over high pressured tactics! For those who have signed on the first visit, they will never have experienced this change of attitude and high pressure tactics.
Description of Work: No work performed only quote given.

As a home owner & Angie's list member i understand the frustration someone can have when they feel they are being preasured. I looked into this and that sales person no longer works for my company. Please understand Statewide Remodeling is a rather large company in our market & we employ over 30 sales people. Sometimes this happens but when it does and we find out about it we take action. I appoligize for this and if you change your mind please let us know if we can help. Thank you for letting us know Frank Manzare VP/Partner

Statewide contractors called ahead of time and were on time. We had updates to our powder bath, and two upstairs baths. There were four contractors over about two weeks who were all very professional and honest. My husband and I were really happy with Craig, who paid close attention to detail and wanted everything right. I didn't like the tile selection I had made and wanted to change out the powder room vanity. With a few phone calls, we were able to successfully make the change. I watched all that was going on and let me say, they work hard for the money! I thought we had overpaid, but watching them tear through a wall to replace the shower fixture, and the plumbing to the fixture....it was a fair deal all the way around. The project manager was good about calling me back in a reasonable time and has been very nice. I did have many questions along the way so I really appreciated that. We love our updates and are looking forward to them completing our master bath with a scheduled start date in two to three weeks.
Description of Work: Tiled, replaced all tub, shower, and sink fixtures, and replaced lighting for three bathrooms. Installed new vanity with the round sink which was not part of the original contract. Removed all trash and used items.

Talked to Statewide Remodeling at the NARI home show concerning a patio cover and a kitchen remodel. They called to schedule appointments 2 days later. It seemed strange because the lady kept asking me if both my husband and I would be at the appointment -- even though I had told her that we were getting 3 bids on both jobs before we were making our decision. We set the appointments (2 separate contractors), then I had to wait for a third party verifier to come on the line and verify the times of the appointments. I found this odd. She also said we would be getting a confirmation call the day before and if they didn't talk to us to verify the appt. or if we didn't return the call, then the appointment would be cancelled. Again, odd. The patio cover rep showed up exactly on time (even without a verification call the day before). He showed us pictures of jobs, measured our patio, wrote down a price on the back of his card and slid it over to us. No pictures, no drawings, no details. And the price was about $2,000 over a previous bid that we had gotten for a cover that was 100% better looking than this was. In fact, this patio cover was so cheap looking we won't install it regardless of the price. We told him we would think about it (too speechless to tell him how over-priced and under-whelmed his product was). Haven't heard from him since. As for the kitchen remodel: They didn't call to verify the appointment. They didn't show up for the appointment. I would not recommend Statewide Remodeling for any work. I wouldn't even recommend them for getting an estimate -- it is a waste of time.
Description of Work: Wanted a patio cover on a 12 x 15 patio. Also kitchen remodel including granite, backsplash, cabinet rearrangement, and slate floors.

I am sorry that asking for all interested parties to the project be present when we came out to give them their FREE Estimate was a problem. We are usually very busy and try to avoid making multiply trips to show the same product and do the presentation several times. We have several divisions. Kitchens & Patio products are seperate. All divisions sales & designers have presentation presentation books & in many cases lap top pictures of completed jobs. So i don't know why they saw nothing. I spoke to the sales rep who came out & he said he showed pictures. He did say he felt this customer was not very interested in hearing his explanation of the product and he may have cut it short for that reason. I don't agree with that but i can certainly see his point. I don't quite follow the comment that they saw no pictures but thought our product was ugly? There are only 2 major manufactures of insulated maintance free patio covers in this market. Both products look very simular. I don't know who the other company was that had a better looking product for $2,000 less? Statewide Remodeling has never stated we are the low cost provider. We offer exclusive product lines designed for Texas homes. We also have a satisfaction guarentee or your money back as well as a lifetime workmanship warrany. Our approach is to offer first call products excellent installations and fair prices. we have benn in business in Texas since 1994. I'm sorry this member did not find what they where looking for from our visit

They were very punctual and came when they were supposed to. I wasn't real happy with the guy. He didn't leave me anything in writing as far as the quote. He didn't leave me any brochures to look at. He wasn't very informative about the whole thing. I told them to call me back in 30 days and they haven't called back. That's fine because I'm not going to use them anyway.
Description of Work: I got an estimate from Statewide Remodeling to renovate a screened-in back porch, including glass windows that I could open and a new roof.

I looked into this and our records show we where there and left an estimate on July 22. We followed up with a call on July 27. the person we talked to stated they where no longer interested. I spoke to the designer who was there and he stated he left a brochure as he does on every free estimate. There are always 2 sides to ever story. I am sory we where not able to provide this customer with what they needed. I can tell you this designer was respopnsible for over $1,000,000.00 in installed sunrooms and patio covers in 2010 and will be close to that number again this year Frank Manzare VP/Partner

the crew sent out to do work was contracted and not at all well experienced. I had issues with both of the large sliding window units not closing, not being able to remove the screens etc. Minor problems were fixed by one person who came out within a week of the work being finished. I have never had anyone come out to remedy the two large sliding windows. I do get follow up calls once a year and I again try to have someone to fix these windows. I get NO responses to messages left to have someone to call reference the work that needs to be done. my heating and cooling bills improved once the work was done and no more problems with excessive noise from outside, water, dust, insects coming in through or around the windows, so the windows are fine. the install sucks UPDATEand gt; The company had a new rep who called me for the annual check up. She was quite shocked that I had not been able to get hold of anyone and that the previous rep had not followed through time and again. She gave me updated phone numbers etc for the company since the ones I had were no good. She got me in contact with the repair crew and had a workman scheduled who arrived and worked on both windows that were giving me problems, At first he was thinking the larger window problems were just minor and easily fixable, yet he could not get the window to open or close correctly and could not get the screen to even budge. He spent better part of day getting it to work and close correctly. He worked on the smaller of the two also (less of a problem , needed slight adjustment since it was not level and had quite a gap). As I said before, The windows are nice. I was more concerned with energy efficiency, noise pollution, weather proofing etc. and not so much with appearance, These windows have actually improved all of these, including overall appearance of the house. These two windows take the brunt of the weather that hits this house and have survived several episodes of small hail, driving wind and rain. I doubt seriously other window units would have survived without glass breakage. ( the other two windows on same wall are protected under patio). I believe the responsive problems arose from the original REP I had who did not return calls or forward my request for repair work and always seemed to be in a hurry to get off the phone. Also the phone #s I was given originally for who to contact had changed. The new Rep was generally concerned and professional and the problems were resolved quickly and she called afterward to make sure the work was done. The price of the windows and sliding door were a bit high but the quality of the actual items are very good. These are not windows you would find at a big box store or even many window replacement companies. I had this company come out, recently, for an estimate on the back patio but cannot swing that right now, will have to wait a bit to have that work done. (glass and screen enclosure).
Description of Work: replace all windows from single pane aluminum windows were in very poor condition and replace the sliding glass door on second floor. Old windows allowed wind, rain, bugs & blowing dust into the house and sucked air right out, the house got very hot in the summer from the sun beating through and the glass was thin and i was always having to replace panels.

I looked thru our records & i could not find any calls or open service requests? Sounds like the end result was what the customer wanted but we missed the mark on the installation and follow up service? I guess the quality of the product still dosen't overcome our price which it appears they did not like that either. They don't state they got any other bids to compare our prices to? We have a customer service person his name is Grayson Hall. He typical returs calls within 24 hours. We want all our customers to be completley happy with their experience with our company. Sorry we did not accomplish that on this one Frank Manzare VP/Partner

Since this was from Home Depot, I was useing their credit card with 12 mos. no interest that was to start when the job was completed. The foreman never got back to me and Home Depot started billing me. I contacted Home Depot and was told I signed offon the job. They sent me a copy of the final report and it was forged. I never signed it. I made the first payment to protect my credit and contacted Statewide and they said the foreman no longer worked for them and they were not the least bit helpful. I contacted Home Depot and they said since I made a payment they could no longer dispute the account. It is 3.5 years later and I still do not have a proper patio enclosure or any satisfaction.i WOULD NOT RECOMENT STATEWIDE TO ANYONE FOR ANY REASON.
Description of Work: Contracted thro and a large mess was left everywhere. I contacted the foreman and he agreed to come fix itugh Home Depot for a patio enclosure. Statewide came out and set up work. Job was not done as agreed, so I contacted the foreman and he agreed to order the items needed to fix it.

I looked into this and believe there is some miss information as well as a lot of the story left out. We are a very large service provide for Home Depot. If we ever forged a customer signature on anything we would loose our program with Home Depot. Thru our installation dept my understanding is Home Depot reviewed the signatures and agreed that the completion certificate was signed by this customer. We don't forge documents!!! As to the incomplete work he claims. This is work that was not in the contract and he was not charged for. If he decides to pay for the additional work we will be happy to do it. I am sorry he feels he deliverers something for nothing and because we will not submit to his claims he chose to slander our company

We are very pleased with the quality of the windows as well as the color choice, which blended perfectly with our trim. We're also very pleased with the energy savings that we've enjoyed as a result. We're less pleased with the workers who did the work. The job was scheduled for a certain day and then had to be rescheduled for some reason. The workers didn't show up on time but did work diligently while they were here. They didn't a decent job of cleaning up but left some glass shards in the carpet, which we found later and cleaned up ourselves. After they completed the work, I had to paint some new trim that they installed. (They don't do that.) In the process of doing that I discovered that they had not caulked the tops of four windows that were hidden by overhanging trim. I called and asked for that to be done, and it took about two weeks for the worker to come back and complete the work. In discussing the issue with him, he told me that they never caulk windows like that but mount them tight to the top instead, because it's too hard to get the caulk into such a tight space. I'm a stickler for detail, and I was disappointed that they did this, so I told the salesman who dealt with us. He said he was unaware of that and would report it to management.
Description of Work: Statewide replaced all but one of our windows with double pane single hung windows. They replaced a total of thirteen windows. This included removing and disposing of the old windows, installing the new windows and some trim and caulking around all the windows.
