they did a good job so it seems. it was much later that I took a shower and discovered that the hot water side didn't work because the handle only went to the neutral position instead of all the way to hot. I emailed them twice, called them twice. I just finished 2 times with their online chat and was transfered to a voice line and both times their system hung up on me. I had already gone to Home Depot and they put an order in and so far I haven't been contacted.

We were told initially the job would take 1 day to remove our tub and put in a shower. Well it took 3 months!! They don't return calls, they don't show up when saying they will. They did a crappy job of the edging with their #1 guy but I had them remove and redo it - so much better by the second guy. Cost was way too much but we had no idea of costs and pressured to sign that day that salesman came out because he gave discount, ha! Then they took last payment out of my account while we were negotiating a discount for our time and suffering - which didn't account to much. I was furious, luckily I had the money in the account or I would've been in negative on other bills.

Asked for an estimate online. Within minutes got a phone call. Good, right? Couldn’t take the call. They called me 8 times within 2 hours. After the 6th call I told them to stop calling and I would take my business elsewhere. Not going to deal with such an aggressive company. 2 more phone calls that same day and still getting texts and emails 4 days later.

I had my initial quote done, and it didn't go as planned, but they came back with numbers I could live with. We setup the contract, had the financing approved and were ready to go... then I didn't hear from them again for almost 2 weeks. At which point they needed to measure my bathroom again but when I gave my availability, they came back with a limited weekday availability that I couldn't make. I then tried to cancel and was told I was past the "3 day" cancelation period and they could cancel but would be keeping the 3k+ they took as a deposit. Don't do business with them. Their is no reason for them to do this other than to be crooks. They were not out anything as they hadn't even gotten to the point of measuring the bathroom to order supplies. They're all helpful till you sign the dotted line, then it's their way or see ya chump!

They came and ripped out my existing shower/tub, then told us they didn't have a permit to do the replacement. We were stuck with 1 shower for a month (including the Christmas Holidays) while we had family staying with us. They barely even offered an apology for anything never mind some kind of compensation.

It has not been a good experience. We were told at the gitgo that work would not start until all the parts needed was assembled on their end. Within a month, we were informed that they would start on the 1st of September 2021. We moved out of our master bath the next day to get ready for their arrival. The shower guy and the contractor assigned by Statewide showed up two days after the day they said they would arrive. I saw the shower guy (who we liked his work) twice in the next week. Essentially, statewide work about 2 to 3 days a week with only one subcontractor showing at a time. It took about cumulative 16 days to complete out bathroom. The work was a new shower with new tile, a rework of the pluming around the shower, a walk in tub, a ceiling fan installed where an overhead lamp was installed, and one day of pulling wires to the circuit box for the fan and the tub. Statewide managed to CRAM those 16 days into four and a half calendar months (2 Sep to one week past Christmas 2021) and there is still some issues with the shower. Due to Statewide management not telling the subcontractors what the finished product was to look, the shower and the tub had to be reworked several times. The shower was not finished as we had wanted and so stated in the contract. The tile floor in the shower was missing some parts, but I did not want them to tear up the floor to incorporate the design we had agreed on after it was already down and dry. The pony wall (as directed by the contractor to the subcontractors) was too short to fit the walk in tub. The tile surrounding the shower, was not installed as high as we had agreed to, and the initial placement of the walk in tub was not where we specified it was to go. They tried to refund me $1800 to leave it where it was. When that didn't work they tried to bluff me with stories that they would have to take a jack hammer to my concrete floor to dig out a path way for the drain line for the tub. This was utter BS. Two or three weeks later, Statewide moved the tub, extended the drain line with hose and clamps, without having to jack hammer anything. We are still not done. The contractor has not contacted us since before Christmas. Yesterday, Statewide finally sent us paperwork to finish paying the balance on the work they have done, which I intend to honor my side of the contract, as soon as they take care of theirs. There is a shower holder in the shower that came loose within a week of us starting to use the shower after four months and some wall patches they need to finish. I could do this stuff myself, but it is not mine to do. Let me be clear, the subcontractors did beautiful work and I am very satisfied with their work. However, I have made it my mission to turn at least 10 potential customers away from Statewide. I have already convinced 3 potential customers not to use Statewide. I just need 7 more. On second thought, I think I’ll shoot for 20 people. That won’t kill Statewide, but a $1,000,000 of business is not a small sum.

I had Statwide add a roof over my U shaped home patio. When the guttering was being installed I mentioned it was way too small. It would not catch water. Sure enough the existing gutter creates a waterfall. Literally a down pouring waterfall. I have been communicating with the Supervisor. I'm told installer will be out to patch up a gutter connection. Connection definately will not fix the problem. I have videos of the waterfall. No one comes out to fix the problem I will attempt to post the video here.

We contacted statewide in April 2021 for our sunroom project and signed the contract immediately. Our sunroom is still undone almost a year later. Not to mention the roof is leaking after heavy rainy days. We have contacted statewide a few times, we were promised to be contacted by upper management, but never received any calls or emails. Extremely upset with the services. I personally won't never recommend Statewide to anyone who values their money and time
Statewide Remodeling 2450 Esters Blvd. Suite 200 Grapevine, TX 75261 (972) 440-0266 started our master bathroom remodeling project that was started on May12th 2021 we have been without a working master bath since that date. Last time a crew was in our home was July 15 2021 and they were trying to fix the previous mistakes from different multiple crews sent by Statewide. We have had multiple crews not show or call and if they did come to our home their was no project manager to show the crew what needed to be done my husband or myself had to miss work or go late trying to supervise. The lack of communication between the project manager and different workers and the customer was poor and unprofessional no one knew what to do nor did not have the skill to preform the task. We had multiple crews sent to try and correct all mistakes listed below 1.Tile on floor had to be redone 2x and still isn't finished 2. The shower doesn't drain properly 3. The shower shelf is so slanted if you put bottles they fall off and this has been redone several times still not fixed 4. Shower Bench was put on wrong wall and shower fixtures need to be replaced still not correct or fixed 5. Bath tub was not stabilized you can hear concrete crunching when stepping in tub only has concrete on one side still not fixed 6. Faucet are loose and wall around tub still open and tub was placed incorrectly and not even was to have a trim around tub but was placed against wall needs to be removed and placed correctly still not fixed 7.Plumbing for tub hot water was capped off had to get several different plumbers sent from Statewide to try and fix plumbing shower floor was compromised worker cut through shower floor to put bench still needs to be fixed 9. Vanity has no shelves or no trim around bottom of Vanity and multiple attempts by Statewide to attach Vanity to wall were unsuccessful there are multiple screw holes in cabinet and wall still not corrected 10. Vanity counter tops were never measured and the incorrect size and color was installed does not fit against wall and sinks do not fit correctly Statewide employee came and tried to use silicone to fill in all holes and gaps you can see wall and silicone and gaps still was told new counter and backsplash was ordered and measurements were taken no one ever came and measured I waited all day no show or call 11. Statewide employee poured grout down new toilet and was told Statewide wide would send a plumber to clear out septic system and would buy new toilet if the toilet was damaged no show still not fixed 12. No working toilet, tub, shower, sink , lights,or heater Statewide removed everything and never replace still not fixed 13. Have a autistic grandson that has no bathtub to bath bought blow up tub in kitchen to bath grandson since May12th 14 . I am a nurse and my husband veteran and trucker and my 3 children and grandson have had to share a bathroom upstairs since May12th 15. bathroom had to be repainted 2x due to poor workmanship 16. Light fixtures hung uneven by Statewide employee not by electrician causing holes in sheetrock that were to be covered and still not fixed 17. Sink faucets and plumbing still need to be added and plumber needs to finish under sinks 18. Pony wall was placed in wrong spot and put over door trim which will cause leaks need wall put in correctly and correct size We have had Tony and Rodney make multiple promises that issues would be fixed and done correctly by professionals last person sent out was the owner Jeff of JPS Accessibility solutions he told me that he could not do any about original contract and that his crew which supposedly are the best subcontractor that Statewide has can not even start on our project for at least 6 to 8 months from now and that was all he could do, we were told by Rodney that Jeff would renegotiate contract since Statewide has defaulted on original contract but Jeff stated that he would call Rodney and have him contact us this was on the 8th of October and as of Oct 24th there has been no contact from anyone at Statewide we are requesting the amount of our contract be paid to us by Statewide for leaving a project unfinished unable to use and damaged, so we can find a professional company to complete this master bathroom remodeling disaster correctly I gave attached pictures of how Statewide has left our bathroom and will never do business with this unprofessional company so sad not one person from Statewide has made any effort to apologize or make it right have contacted BBB and waiting on Statewide still have not heard from anyone.

State Wide I thought they were a great company! But my sun room took over 6-7 months which most contractors said it should only have taken maybe a couple of weeks! DO NOT BLAME COVID! The project was over 20k! The sales Rep said no permit had to be pulled! WRONG shame on State Wide the city said they should have known better! Had to come to my house 3-4 time after the project was finished due to errors or problems!!! I did not receive any phone calls from start but received numerous calls to payment!!! WONT USE State Wide in the FUture!! I hope I'm billed correctly!!

So I don't normally make reviews but for this company I will I would not recommend this company but it's your choice and you can make your own decision. But before you do just read my story and you decide what you want to do. Back in May I decided I wanted to get some new windows so I went to home depot and they told me that statewide remodeling was going to contact me about schedule an appointment to look at windows. I said great so they called we made an appointment a person showed up. After everything was said and done I decided to make the purchase. I don't remember the full price but it was around $7,262's. I was fine with it because it sounded like a good deal. I was then told that another person will be coming to do a second measurement for them we scheduled the appointment the person missed the 1st appointment and I called them we had to reschedule and the did make that appointment. I was then told it will take 4 to 6 weeks until the windows come in, I said no problem. So when the windows came in we made an appointment July 6. They showed up they started working they took out 2 windows replaced those 2 when then discovered they were missing a window. And was told it will be in the next day. Went to the back side of the house took out a window and discovered that after 2 people measuring this window had miss mesured. Then to top it off the screen to one of our new windows was ripped. They told me the window they were missing will be on the truck the next day which was a Tuesday July 7th they said they will call when it was in and they will come by that day to put that window in. On July 7th I never heard from them so I called on July 8th and they said that the window was not in and it should be there next week and they are re ordering are back window and it should be in within 2 weeks. So the next week came no call I ended up calling them they said they didn't have the window and that they are still waiting for it I asked that they re ordered our screen they said yes. 2 weeks came and gone didn't hear a word from them I called them afterwards they said that the screen had came in but it was damaged really bad and they had the re order it and they also told me that our new window was still not in and that it should be in the next week. Every time I ended up calling they kept telling us that will be the next week next week. I ended up calling home depot and making a complaint about it, once I did state remodeling heard about this a lady named Patty called me in a disgusted voice asked me why am I making a complaint she doesn't understand so then I went to this whole conversation with her she supposedly understood this and said that she would work on this. After a long time of waiting our windows finally made it in, and were placed on September 3rd just 2 days ago. My back window was held up by duct tape for over 2 months. At this point I had asked to see if we can get some kind of discount for compensation of having to do with the duck table window. They said they will look into it and see what kind of compensation they can do of a discount. I came to find out they basically only took the taxes off of it and our total is $7,267. I don't see how that is a discount at all except for taking taxes off. The problem was I was in Houston working and my wife was here to have them put the windows in and well she is not on my credit card due to me getting this credit card before getting married and I am the only one that is suppose to be on this card had her forge my signature by pressuring her into it. And I think they did this because they knew I wasn't there and they could try to get away with it. But I feel that's a little bit illegal and they forge my signature. So I have already contacted home depot again and I can write a new post later to give you guys an update.

While we're happy with the end result, getting to the finish line was not necessarily a pleasant experience. We found Statewide through Home Depot. Scheduling the appointment with the salesman was easy enough and he was extremely charismatic and personable. The actual sales process, however, was pretty painful. We spent a few hours with him only to have the original quote of the job be an exorbitant price. After a lot of back and forth negotiation, we wound up with a price that we could live with (although not one we considered extremely fair). We were told that the project would begin in about 6 weeks and we would hear from a coordinator as the time got closer. About 2 weeks after we signed the contract, the COVID lockdowns started. At a time when communication is key, we heard nothing. We had to e-mail them at the estimated start date to get an update on if and when the project would start. There were understandably some delays with shipping, etc. due to the global pandemic but a simple e-mail keeping us up to date on these things would have been much appreciated. When the work finally did start, though, it was almost like a different company! The supervisor and tradesmen were professional, considerate of our space (it's hard doing a bathroom remodel when you only have 1 bathroom!) and are good at what they do. The end result looks great and we are pleased with how it all turned out! So, in short, the people in the trenches doing the work are top notch but the management of the whole process leaves a lot to be desired.

My wife and I went to Home Depot to run a couple errands and were approached by this company who explained all the benefits of using them. We had been wanting to update our guest bathroom so we thought "why not". We made an appointment and they arrived a few days later to discuss the bathroom and quotes. You need to be ready to either go all in day of or nothing. We were able to get a discounted price on top of the $500 off for the project. The sales pitch was extremely salesy so be ready for that. For the installation and working with the project manager. That was extremely smooth. My only complaint is that there was a lack of communication between the sales rep and our project manager. We wanted something specific done with the shower door which couldn't be done due to city code. Our sales rep didn't relay this information. Fortunately, our project manager was able to refund us for the door. Overall, our bathroom looks phenomenal. They did great work and excited to have guests over again (well after COVID).

We decided on a Kohler walk-in bathtub. Kohler walk-in bathtubs are sold and installed exclusively (?) in our area by Statewide Remodeling. Statewide comes to your house to make sure that the purchaser understands the advantages of the Kohler walk-in and to estimate the installed cost. The salesman and estimator were very personable and thorough. They made sure we got all discounts we were eligible for. Installation went great! The installers arrived as scheduled and covered the carpet with plastic and the hardwood and tile with heavy paper. Scope of work included new electrical service for the tub, removal of existing tub, and installation of new tub which included installation of additional tile and installation of LuxStone™ Bath Walls to cover the space previously covered by the original tub. There were no problems during the install and clean up was outstanding. I think they even washed down the driveway and front sidewalk!

WORST MISTAKE EVER. I made the mistake of agreeing to let this company do a small project for me and I completely regret it. They are simply not worth it. If you are considering them for work, do yourself a favor and shop around and get multiple quotes. One of the salesmen was nice, but the other was tacky. The work, itself, was fine, but the supervisor was a complete jerk. Dealing with the office (Finance department, especially) was a disaster. If they need something from you, they will call and text you non-stop at 7:30 in the morning and all weekend. But, the moment you need something and call, all you will get is a voicemail (with no returned call) or someone say "Sorry, you have to speak to that person" and transfer you to their voicemail. They are a nightmare to deal with. I wrote them a 4 page letter of my complaints and concerns. A manager called me and said "Sorry, we will do better next time". They are simply not worth it.

I visited Statewide Remodeling’s booth at the DFW Auto Show in March. They offered a 50% discount to schedule an appointment, which I did. A consultant visited my home to discuss the project and measure the bathroom. I visited their showroom 3 days later to pick finishes. All selections were moderate, not basic, not extravagant. He provided a quote the following day - $44,000! Ridiculous and no 50% discount in sight. I replied back ‘no thanks’. No response.

I have three bathrooms and a kitchen that needing remodelling, and as there was quite a bit of work involved I figured I would hire a general contractor. When I called Statewide, they explained they only did bathrooms in Houston, but I thought I would still give them a chance. At the initial appointment they wanted me to pick samples; it took over four hours, which caught me by surprise. Their supplier list is also quite limited; on one of the bathrooms I knew what I wanted, and as they could not provide it they quoted that bathroom as labour only. They left me three separate prices for each bathroom, which all looked high. The next night I ran some calculations of my own. I had done a complete home remodel in the last year on a different house, and I was aware of what labour and material costs were in my area. I sent them a copy of my breakdown in Excel, and asked for their feedback, thinking they had made a mistake. I heard nothing, so contacted them yet again a few days later, and received an emailed reply asking me to call them. Apparently they didn't want anything in writing. When I eventually spoke to my design consultant, he assured me there were no errors in their estimates. I asked for an explanation, and specifically related to the 1/2 bath, as it was such a simple job. All I was doing was installing 62 sqft of tile on the walls. No demo work, no floor tile, no surprises, and I was to provide all materials including tile. I had figured $710 for removing and resetting the toilet, pedestal sink, mirror, and wall sconces, and an additional $3.75/sqft for tile LABOUR. That put my job at $940, factor in a generous 25% markup, and I should be paying no more than $1175 for the whole job. They wanted $6300. He explained that they charge about $45/sqft for the labour alone to install the tile... are you kidding me??? That meant the balance of $2800 was the cost to detach and reset a toilet, pedestal sink, and mirror. That is about $1000/hr labour. He advised me to Google their reviews; he sells $7 million per year in bathroom renos, and they are Home Depot's number one installer. Not surprisingly our call was disconnected mid-conversation, and he didn't bother to call me back. I cannot comment on Statewide's warranty, workmanship, or quality of materials, as I am definitely not going to use them... all I can tell you is that their prices are through the roof, and their choice of materials are extremely limited and mid-range. DO NOT hire this company unless you have had multiple quotes, and I would make sure that you get those quotes first, as their high pressure sales tactics try to force you to make a decision on the spot.

My apologies for our failure to give this customer the information they wanted. First, let me say we are not a general contractor. We price each project on it's own. Yes there would be some discounts for purchasing multiple projects at the same time but we would install one at a time. We do not break down our pricing by material, labor etc. We quote by the job. We always have and always will. We are the largest bathroom remodeler in the state of Texas and every one of our competitors wants to know how we do this? It's not by pricing it's by world-class performance and 25 years in business. We stand behind every job we do and with 25 years in the business, we will be here in the future if our customers need us. It's unfortunate that Angies list allows us to receive an F rating because a customer does not like our pricing but the good news it is a weighted rating because no work was performed. I wish this homeowner luck in finding a general contractor who will work within their budget Frank Manzare EVP/Partner

We requested Pedro, who is an outstanding worker from a previous remodel. He was busy, so we were assigned a handyman. The handyman provided average craftsmanship, which is insufficient at this price point. His crew leader agreed and it was demoed. Then we were assigned Pedro. His masterwork made a beautiful bathroom remodel. Moral: insist on getting Pedro.

Poor quality workmanship. Shower tiles are uneven with jagged edges. Many chipped tiles, holes in grout. Shower head is shorter than my 14 year old son. Grout and caulking mess left everywhere with no cleanup. Wall texture by the shower is ruined due to over-caulking. Now they are refusing to come back to do it right. I will never use Home Depot or Statewide for remodeling again. No pride in workmanship, no responsibility, lies, just take your money and run. Shameful.

Response from Statewide Remodeling
Below is a response from our Houston office GM. We do make mistakes but you will not find any organization that will work harder to correct them and satisfy the customer Frank Manzare EVP/Partner There were two projects in this home. The installer that did the first project did a poor job. When I was made aware of it I reached out to Mr. [Member Name Removed], we set a time to meet. Mr. & Mrs. [Member Name Removed] met with me at our office where I did apologize for the poor workmanship, I assured him & her we would correct all issues. I let them pick out new tile and a decorative accent, I also put my top field supervisor to run there project and all was resolved. The customer also did get compensation for the delays. I also have a change order from the customer that they signed admitting they are now satisfied.

Good. Our only problem is that for signing up, we were promised the bonus of an Amazon echo that we never got.

Started on time, ended on time and in budget. Can't complain about that. Not only the basics, but everyone involved in this process from planning to final clean-up were extremely responsive, competent and timely. I'd use them again if I have another house for bathroom or kitchen remodel
Description of Work: We did a complete kitchen gut and remodel. No walls taken down but we did have 50' or so of soffit and an attached peninsula that were removed. Completely new cabinets, countertops and lights completed the project.
