The price was good. The workers were all very impressive and they knew what they were doing. The cleanup was squeaky clean.

They cleaned up at the end of each day and kept everything well-organized. The PM and most of the guys doing the work were super polite. All things considered, things went pretty well but there were some issues that leave me with mixed feelings. My wife and I were highly involved and since we were paying attention to all the details, issues were fixed before they became big problems. For customers that may know what end result they want but not have the time to keep tabs on the whole process could very well be unhappy with their results. The folks doing the work are not designers, they are installers. StateWide did not have anyone on-site managing what the end product should look like and how certain tiles should be turned, placed, etc. There were some obvious blunders that were fixed, but I feel like we shouldn't have had to point them out. We knew about what we wanted to do and we had a couple of other quotes from other reputable providers in the area. I originally was reluctant to even approach StateWide because of some of the reviews I read here on AngiesList. Many of the other companies though are not willing to manage the plumbing part of the projects. Three other companies that we talked to said that we would have to find our own plumber. Isn't it ironic that everyone except for the plumber that worked on our project was very professional and punctual. The plumber had a really bad attitude and did not even show up when he was supposed to on three separate occasions. The other guys were great. They called when they were on the way or if they were going to be late so we knew when to expect them. In the end, another great plumber was called in and the StateWide PM said that the bad plumber would no longer be used. If that is really the case, then I have higher hopes for the next customer. I rated the cost a C because the price was still a bit high in my opinion. Considering what I know now, I would negotiate differently, but you definitely have to be prepared to negotiate with StateWide. They are not a low price leader. They are a business that wants to make as much profit as possible, which is understandable. ***Update*** I feel compelled to elaborate a bit more on my C rating of the price. I believe there is value in selecting a company that will stand behind their work 100%. Many service providers, though, take pride in doing good work and will quickly own up to fixing something they did wrong without having to charge extra to make it right. On the other hand, there are many service providers that are horrible, which is why review sites like this came into existence. If given the choice between a provider that will make it right 100% of the time or a provider that strives to do it right the first time, I would rather pay more for the professional provider that strives to do it right the first time and takes pride in their work. This was a learning experience also for me and I only wish to impart as much knowledge to others that may be researching for their own projects. Again, the key is in the negotiation. Do as much research as possible. Read reviews here and get quotes before making your decision. Decide on a budget based on your research before you act or commit to anything.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review about your experience with my company. I would start with addressing the C rating on the price. We are not the low price provider but do stand behind our work 100% and have for over 20 years. We use products that most other companies don't offer or in many cases do not even know they exist. We are constantly looking for new products that make the finished product better looking and longer lasting. When you are doing a complete tear out there are a lot of moving parts. We encourage the customer to review the work progress on a daily bases. If they see something that they don't like or doesn't make sense we will correct it during the course of the job. We are a large volume contractor installing over 200 bathrooms a month but are locally owned and operated. As you can see I try to respond to every review we get on Angie's list and sometimes it is not easy to admit when we have made a mistake. When we do make a mistake that we are made aware of I will be the first person to admit it and do everything in my power to correct it as fast as possible. Thank you for your business and the trust you placed in my company. If we can be of service in the future please don't hesitate to contact us Frank Manzare VP/Partner

I called statewide to get pricing on having bathtub liners installed over my existing tubs. I told the lady on the phone when I set up the appointment that I was interested in this option because of the supposed lower price and that their site said it could typically be done in one day. Well, I have no idea if it's actually cheaper or not, because the representative who was sent out to my house basically told me they don't do that, then proceeded to go into great detail about getting a full bathtub replacement. This is not what I want or what I scheduled the appointment for, but I don't know anything about acrylic tubs, so I figure I'll let him quote the price and maybe it will surprise me. Surprise me it did! $9,900 per tub! Oh, but only $7500 if I'd sign on right away. Now my mother just had her bathroom redone by a contractor that's rated here on Angie's list pretty regularly as being pricey, and they installed a high-end tub with floor to ceiling tile surround, new floor tile, wall tile to chair rail height, a new toilet, new cabinetry, new fixtures (ones that the statewide rep told me were costly, btw), a stone countertop, new lighting, fresh paint and a new door for less than what Statewide wants for two very basic tubs and prefab surrounds. I'll be honest, I wouldn't even bother to write a review if the price were the only issue I had with this consultation. It's a capitalist economy and if people are willing to pay it, companies are of course free to charge it. But even ignoring the fact that I wasn't even getting a price for the product I asked for, there was the issue of professionalism with the rep who came out. After he gives me the price, and I inform him that this is far more than I have saved up and once again, this is why I was looking at the liner option, he mentions financing, but as he's apparently new, he doesn't know the possible financing terms, but he wants me to just fill out a credit application to find out what I can get. Uh, excuse me? You want me to hand over all my financial info and let you put a hit on my credit report when for all I know your financing could be a credit card with 20% interest? I'm the daughter of an accountant and I work for a major financial institution, that's not happening. At this point it's already past the estimated hour and a half timeframe for meeting, and it's quickly approaching 8pm when I get a call from work about an issue they're having with one of our systems. I ask the rep just to send me the information when he gets in touch with one of his coworkers because I need to be on this work call. He asks if he can stay until I finish, even after I inform him these calls can be very long! At this point I'm feeling decidedly uncomfortable and frankly I think this was highly unprofessional and inappropriate. So I'm trying to deal with my work call and him at the same time and I tell him that I'm not going to make a decision tonight. He keeps sitting there. After about 10-15 minutes on my work call there is enough of a pause that I can put them on hold and try to figure out why this man is still sitting at my kitchen table. Joy oh joy, he's gotten the financing information from his coworker, and now he just has to tell me about it. Really? I'm on a call with my office and I've already told you it's not happening tonight and you're making me out the office on hold to pitch me AGAIN? I take the information and let him know that I'd really need to sit down and figure out my budget to determine if I cound manage it even with financing (years of dealing with direct sales people has taught me that "no" is an invitation to more questions so they can rebut your no, and at this point I really just want this guy out of my house. I've got a migraine the size of their price) and he once again tries to push on the "it's cheaper if you buy now" thing, and I smile politely and say I know, but I need to do the math. FINALLY, he gets up to leave. So to sum up, my thought for statewide are thus: 1) if I ask for the price of a specific product, give me the price of that product, or be more truthful in your literature about what you do. 2) if a customer has to deal with something during a consultation (work, family emergency, etc.) YOU LEAVE. Don't put the customer in the awkward position of either having to let you stay or force you out, because I promise you it's not generating good feelings.

I apologize for the bad experience you obviously had with one of our reps. I don't understand the $150,000 price you posted? I am assuming that is a typo? Our people should have told you when you set your appointment that we do acrylic overlays but not on the tubs just the wall surround. We install on average 250 bathrooms a month and have found it is a better finished product to just replace the tub vs. an acrylic overlay. This does not extend the job completion time. You are correct the rep on your estimate was relatively new and did not know all the finance options available and there are a lot. none the less an inconvenience. I agree he should have left when you needed to take a call from your business. I have contacted our appointment center manager to make sure they are giving proper information to prospective customers over the phone. I did get an email from you on this matter but just this morning had a chance to review it as I have been out of communication with email the last few days. I hope you find a company that can do the work the way you want it done and again my apologizes for taking up your time Frank Manzare VP/Partner

The salesman was excellent, well-briefed responsive and professional. There was a prolonged silence while the various permits and approvals were processed (by Statewide) and a little confusion over the interpretation of "twelve months same as cash". Once all those issues were resolved and effective lines of communication established the work started and was finished very quickly and professionally. I have no problem with the standard of the work or the people who did it. It was a little expensive but, in my opinion, worth the price. I think Statewide's communication could be improved, perhaps by a little more handholding.

I agree we can always do a better job and appreciate when customers who are satisfied with the finished product take the time to pass their experience good and bad on to us. As you know from your experience a kitchen remodel has many moving parts and keeping all the balls in the air can be challenging. So sorry about the delays. Working with the various cities thru their permit dept. has many challenges as they often will change policies in mid stream. Not saying that happened with your job but it does and of course causes delay's. As to pricing. We never claim to be the low price provider with anything we do but we do claim to offer the best warranties in the industry. With over 20 years in business we hope our customers take this into consideration when choosing Statewide Remodeling to do their project. We will be here if you need us. Thank you for your business Frank Manzare VP/Partner

They were absolute fantastic. All the crews were professional, effective, and you would not worry about having them in your home. The design consultant Chris Squire came out first and he was a total professional. He knew what he was doing, and knew the product, he was honest and it was such a great experience. He knew his business. I would easily recommend them to anyone.

We contacted Statewide in March to remodel our Master Bathroom Shower. We were told it would take 6 to 8 weeks for the materials to be ordered and for work to begin. About mid April, before work started, we discovered a major issue with another bathroom that was leaking something awful into our garage. Our insurance refused to cover it, and we did not have the funds to do both bathrooms. So we called Statewide and explained what had happened. We asked if we could cancel the Master Bathroom Shower and shift the amount we had already paid to the smaller leaking disaster bathroom and have them work on it instead. They were very sympathetic, and worked with us. The smaller bathroom was a more complicated of a repair, but it was done to perfection. The crew was unbelievably efficient, cleaned up everything from their destruction and reconstruction of the Shower/tub where the leak was coming from. They repaired the drywall, and made sure that there was no structural damage from the leak prior to completing the job. It took a little bit of time for them to get started on the job, (6 to 8 weeks). However, once they were on the job it went extremely quickly.

Ms. (removed member name) After being in business for 20+ years and in this industry for almost 40 we have learned a few tgings about cuatomer satisfaction. My father who was a first generation Itilian American and self employed told me when I started this company "if you do people a good job they will tell a few of their friends If you do a bad job they will tell everybody they know" I try to live by that statement on every job we do. We make mistakes and we are definantly not the low cost provider but we stand behind our work and make no exceptions when trying to help our customers. Sometimes it takes a couple of calls to get what you need but we will deliver. DON'T USE THIS COMPANY. We met them at a home show in San Antonio last Jan (?) and they called and scheduled an appointment; then cancelled it at the last minute and rescheduled; then cancelled that at the last minute and rescheduled; and then cancelled this third appointment at the last minute. I told them no more. Then they called back about a month ago and caught us when we were talking about remodeling the bath. We set an appointment then they called at the last minute and cancelled it, rescheduled, cancelled that appointment at the last minute, rescheduled and now have cancelled the third appointment at the last minute. If you are counting THAT'S 6 CANCELLATIONS with a new excuse each time. They must have a good system for coming up with a new excuse each time. If they are this bad about their appointments when they are trying to get money out of you, they must be really bad about honoring commitments once they have your money.

We talked at Home Depot with a representative who gave us nearly no information. We told him we just wanted to get a baseline of where to start and average round numbers. The rep told us that he couldn't give us any info but that they could send someone to our home to check out what we wanted done. We said we were really early on and he said that was fine. FYI - apparently it's not fine - know this before you call them/schedule with them at Home Depot. Don't call them until you've done all your research. I gave them an F for professionalism not due to the representative that came out. The representative that came out, Brad, was great. He was very professional and though we will not be using Statewide he was a good guy. I'd give him an overall A. Personalble, friendly, professional. I gave an F in professionalism due to a response I saw from the VP to another Angie's list member. I just felt that the response showed they don't care about their customers and to me that is a huge mark against professionalism for the entire company because it came from a VP. Here's the comment I'm talking about: and quot;I wish that perspective customers would read reviews on Angies list before they call us if they intend to leave a review after we are out. I have explained several times why we offer a first inspection discount.and quot; Dear Frank Manzare, You may feel that you are open about your first inspection discount. However - it was never brought up when we were talking to Home Depot about just wanting some basic information because it was too early in the process for us. We did, like I feel is true for many of your customers, did not find you first on Angies list. We found you at Home Depot. After you came out, we then looked you up on Angies list. Here's the think Mr. Manzare - Whatever it is that you feel you are being open about, is not being shared with your clients when they schedule. I know we were very straight forward and told the person we talked to at Home Depot that we weren't ready. He said there was no info he could give me other than setting us up for a rep to come visit us. That's all. We got 0 other information. Honestly - we didn't even know Statewide was the company coming. Your first inspection discount would be very reasonable if we had been expecting it. If that had been the case we wouldn't have scheduled at the time we did. We would have scheduled closer to when we wanted to get the work done. We were told the job costs $8,145 but we can do it for $6,164 if you sign today - but not to worry that $8,145 price is good for 30 days. So basically, if we don't sign right away we'd have to pay $2,000 more? I was very open with Brad - we would not be calling back. I would rather spend that $8,000 with another company than give it to Statewide knowing they can feasibly do the job for $2,000 less and make reasonable profits, but did not want to because we wanted to be informed buyers. To me - it is integrity. To me - that's not a company I want to work with. I grew up the daughter of a contractor. He lives out of state so I don't get those benefits here in Austin. However, growing up around construction I know what a shady business it can be. I feel the way you responded to another customer in the reviews was disrespectful. Like us, they may not have known about your first inspection discount. Like us, they may have been straight forward when scheduling telling the person they were talking to that they weren't ready yet - but wanted some basic information. Your response to that customer did not show that you value your customers. It shows that you just don't care, which is probably because you get a constant flood of leads from Home Depot that one individual client just doesn't matter. Overall I was very disappointed. It's hard to figure out what to rate the company. I gave an F to the price because of the lack of integrity. If we had known about the first inspection discount before hand I would have given the price a higher mark, but I also would have priced out other companies first. Quality? Can't judge - we didn't have any work done. Responsiveness? Punctuality? - I gave these both B's. When we scheduled, it was supposed to be Saturday at 4pm. The day before we get a phone call and they rescheduled for 1pm - no problem. They did arrive a little later than 1pm, but that was okay. The odd thing was, the woman who called to reschedule us for 1pm told us that they don't do any appts after 1pm on Saturdays. So my question is, why were we originally scheduled at 4pm? Seems like a break down in communication there. Professionalism? - Brad gets and A. Mr. Manzare along with the company he represents gets an F. Overall? I picked a D. I debated between a D and a C. But for me, integrity matters - so a D it is.

[member name removed] As I have stated we offer ever customer a first inspection discount. I won't get into the logistics here because it is pretty evident you have read my responses elsewhere . Here is the issue with your circumstances. Your representative who came to your home mis quoated the first inspection discount. It can vary depending on the scope of the work but typicaly it is no more than 10% of the 30 day price. In your case it should have been $600-800 total not over $2,000. I have talked to Mike Saunders who is the Austin baranch general sales manager. He will discuss this with the sales rep. so hopefully no other customers will have the bad experience you did. The good news is you got a free estimate and now have a place to start your shopping. I do have to disagree with your comment that I am disrespectful to customers. I started this company with Robert Levin over 20 years ago. I ran the first appointment and sold the first job. I look at every job & customer the same way I did then. They all are important to me. I do not mence words though. If someone says something that makes no sense they should expect to hear my opinion just as I have read theirs. There are always two sides to ever story and i feel they both have to be heard before conclusions are drawn. Thank you for taking the time to state your opinion Frank Manzare VP/Partner

Signed up through home Depot in June 2014 The salesman came from statewide showing glitter and glamour shots of previous work. He stated the slab would be "Engineer Certified Slab", the work would be done in 6-8 weeks, but he thought there was current inventory so it would be done sooner. Even told us the work would be done in two days once the material reached the warehouse. It is now September and all I have to show is a empty dug out of trenched dirt with no patio and delays after delays. The first installation of the slab went horribly wrong. The contractor showed up with wood that was so warped, there was no way they would get a straight slab installed. The equipment they had was so old, it was incredulous that Home Depot approved of the company. The slab contractor had no badges like the salesman promised, created a slab that was not square, a foot short on all sides and sloped in the middle creating a puddle of water. The patio cover installer refused to install the patio as it would be unrealistic as the slab was in so much disrepair. "Tony", the operations manager came out, looked at the worked and took pictures of this awful debacle. They keep having their office clerk call with a different scenario each day of why they can't do something. I should have told them then to stay away. I have taken off work on at least 5-10 times to accommodate different contractors visits and work days. They said they wanted to make it right, so they gave me a couple of options which were unacceptable like pouring another 2 inches of concrete over the existing slab that is warped and un-leveled and is short by at least a foot.... I told them to tear it up and re-start. Today is 9/23/14, and work was supposed to be achieved today. I was assured by home depot representatives, and Home Depot would be here at 12pm to begin. At 11am, I received a call stating the concrete is delayed and that they will not be available to start until one additional day. How do you not have concrete that you scheduled in San Antonio, Texas. This is the remedy to the first failed installation of the patio slab and cover. Home Depot has failed to provide a sufficient slab, did not provide the right amount of square footage that was contracted, did not level the slab, and created debris hazards. The original installation was not properly inspected and due to the multiple failures, the we are incurring loss wages and unable to properly access the rear of our property. On top of this, they sent a "Independent Civil Engineer" to confirm the slab is set correctly and he states that the current slab build is insufficient and requires further work prior to slab pour which Home Depot needs to address forthwith. I should have paid Harry the Handy man to do this, it would have gotten better results. What's even more hilarious, it that I have already paid for the work as Home Dept charges you upfront prior to any commencement of work.

I spoke to this customer myself and apologized for the mistake on the slab that was poured incorrectly the first time and other confusion. I contacted my office in San Antonio and made arrangements to get the job completed per his requested time frame. Offered to do everything necessary to make them happy and reduce the price of the job to compensate them for there lost time and inconvenience. We do make mistakes but never back up from admitting them and offering the customer compensation for their inconvenience. Sorry we could not work this out Frank Manzare VP/Partner

We decided to enlarge our shower and reduce / replace our leaking jetted tub with a more relaxing soaking tub, all while swapping their location within the bathroom. The assigned construction crew were on time every day, extremely professional and even worked late to help keep our project on time and budget. The foreman was extremely knowledgeable and comminuted throughout the entire project on each step, what would get done next, and even responded late into the evenings when we had questions so my wife and I felt comfortable with their progress. The sales process was fairly easy and straight forward and the project ultimately was completed ahead of time and on budget. We are extremely happy with the results and can't wait to get to using our new master bathroom.

After reading the reviews here I would be very reluctant to give this company time or money to show that they can do a job.
Description of Work: We scheduled an appointment for an estimate and juggled our commitments to be sure we were both available, then they called ten minutes before they were due to say they wouldn't be able to fit us in and when would we like to reschedule. Serious lack of respect for others time and lack of professional approach to business.

We had a scheduled appointment with sales representative, Ken Peterson, for Thursday, July 24, but he failed to show up. I didn't find out until I called Statewide 15 minutes after the appointment was supposed to start. We rescheduled for the following Monday. The sales representative kept looking at the clock; he was very anxious to leave since it was an evening appointment. I expected that he would quote us prices, but instead he gave us typical remodeling prices which didn't really apply to us.

Terrible, basic high pressure sales pitch with solely being focused on the "One call close." I was up front with the sales person about just starting the process to replace my windows (I have 49 windows), that I was going to check out at least 3 companies, research their product and service and then make my decision. Our home is 4,000 square feet, it's very energy efficient, out highest electric bills in the summer are $300 or less. We are looking to replace our windows for esthetic reasons, not focusing on ROI. We have radiant barrier in our attic and a tankless hot water heater. We have a 2 year old that wasn't feeling well that day, so my wife needed to take our son to the Dr., and could not be there for the presentation. The sales guy said we needed to reschedule and that since he was already there, I wouldn't be eligible for the "first close discount." When I pushed him to explain, he reviewed their company policy and gave numbers on their close ratios, how the people that close on the first meeting, get additional discounts. I just laughed and terminated the meeting, saying I would not ever reschedule with Statewide, and asked him to leave saying that if thought he would come into my home and think that I'm going to spend over $40,000.00 on the first meeting, without doing research and checking references for myself, that he was insane. The sales guy never gave me a firm price, he just said with the amount of windows I had, my job could exceed $40,000.00. I got the impression that the sales guy assumed that I couldn't afford Statewide, that they were "out of my league." It came across as pretty arrogant, he should have done some actual research on me, what I do for a living, and what makes me tick. Statewide does a great job at answering any complaints, but do your research for yourself and if they are right for you personally, I'm quite sure they will do a great job, especially if you like paying the highest premium for replacement windows.
Description of Work: They did nothing, we did not get past the initial "presentation."

I try to stay open minded when anyone gives us a bad review. I consider anything below a B as bad. I know there are 2 sides to every story but this guy needs to do some research himself before he passes judgment on my business. We came to his home for FREE! He paid nothing for us to come out and schedule 2 hours of our time to give him a free education on windows. It appears he wants to brag about how big his house is about who "he" is. We do not discriminate based on anyone's income, job status, size of home etc. I do expect when someone makes an appointment stating all interested parties will be present that they are there. If the appointment needs to be rescheduled that's ok but don't renege on your side of the appointment obligation and expect me to fulfill mine. I'm sorry I don't work that way regardless of who "you" are. As to most expensive window he obviously did not do his homework here either. We offer a replacement window second to none in quality , energy efficiency and warranty. Please contact those folks over at Pella or Andersan if you want some expensive windows. If all he was looking for was a pretty window to replace his ugly ones then he doesn't need a company like mine with over 20 years of serving Texas homeowners. We also have over 40,000 customers who get service after the sale when needed. the $199 an opening window would appear to serve him well We do offer a first inspection discount to help from rescheduling appointments a second or third time I have stated this in previous reviews. We give everyone a 30 day price which we can extended with circumstances. My rep's run 2-3 appointments every day 6 days a week. When we have to reschedule appointments to go see someone we have already seen who has decided to go ahead we have to reschedule others and some people understandable get upset and will not reset our appointment. Apparently due to who this customer thinks he is our time and others is of no importance to him. We do not high pressure anyone to buy. If they are not ready to buy as this person stated then don't but when someone see's a product they want and they are ready to buy what is the problem with saving a little money to move forward while we are there on the first visit & everything is fresh in your mind? I don't see any If anyone would like to discuss this with me I can be reached at 214-446-9031 Frank Manzare VP/Partner

It did not go well. The rep from the company was a nice guy and went into a lot of detail about how the job would proceed and the high quality of their work and materials. We indicated that we were interested in a specific tub and shower from Home Depot and his response was that they used none of the "off the shelf" stuff; only things available from their company. The "Home Depot Price" quoted for the job was $22,924 and, if we accepted right away it would be reduced to $20,668. This was for a complete redo of the bathroom area but there was no breakdown of costs available to us. The rep also indicated that there were no good remodelers in our area and that most of the work around here was done by some guys in a pickup truck. This felt wrong so we had to decline.
Description of Work: This provider was sent based on our request to Home Depot for an estimate to remodel our master bathroom. Provider rep measured and looked over the bathroom area gave us a bottom line price.

I wish that perspective customers would read reviews on Angies list before they call us if they intend to leave a review after we are out. I have explained several times why we offer a first inspection discount. It is to the customers advantage if they want to use it. our estimates are free we charge nothing for coming to your home and spending sometimes a couple of hours going over product selection, warranties and design. It sounds like the only thing our representative might have done wrong is state there are no other good contractors in the area. I am not aware of any other remodeler in they area that offers the scope of work we do that has been in business as long as we have. I understand not liking the price but an overall D seems a little harsh? Frank Manzare VP/Partner

I scheduled an estimate with Statewide Remodeling during the Fort Worth Arts Festival. By signing up at the Arts Festival, I supposedly got a 20% discount. I also got to spin their wheel of fortune and won another $400.00 off the project. Later I found out that Statewide gives the 20% discount to everyone. The Statewide representative arrived on time and we started discussing the project. I wanted a 5' x 30and quot; shower pan replaced with a tiled in shower, the shower surround was to also be tiled along with a wainscot around the perimeter of the bathroom. We would also get a new vanity and lavatory. Statewide's rep. went in and looked at the bath, took some measurements, then came back and started showing us some materials. All the while he is showing us the materials my mind was guessing at the total cost. I thought my budget was about $10,000. Believe me, we looked at some good looking stuff! Little did I know! We looked at a shower pan made of solid surface material (Corian), porcelain tile by Dal Tile, and several other products including a solid surface vanity top with molded in lav. My wife and I were to provide lighting fixtures, bath mixing valve and shower head, and paint. After the rep. priced out the project, he said that he wondered if we knew how much the project costs. My guess was $10,000. He said that we went a little past that amount. He then quoted $20,000. WOW! For a 50 square foot 1/2 bath in a mid income family and tract house! That's right at $400.00 per square foot. I know that baths and kitchens are some of the most expensive square footage in the house but $400.00 per square foot is ridiculous. We are remodeling a small residential bath...not the bath in the Lincoln guest room at the White House. To make matters worse, and add insult to injury, the quote included the 20% discount so we were is reality looking at a $25,000.00, $500.00 per square foot project. He also failed to deduct the $400.00 bonus. He said that he was really doing a lot of work but in reality, he was not doing any more than we originally asked for. After reviewing his bid form I noticed that he had forgotten to include the tile wainscot. I also found out while talking with him that he was unfamiliar with some of the construction processes such as how tile floor was joined with the tile wainscot. He did not know what cove tile was. I work in an Architectural/Engineering firm so I know just a little about how construction is done. I believe that a representative of the remodeling /construction firm should also know how things are done and can discuss them intelligently. We were in shock, but wanted a nice bath and went ahead signed a contract, but after sleeping on it, and talking about the project with some of the Architects in my Architecture/Engineering firm we determined that we wanted out of this over-price project. We exercised our right of rescission and voided the whole deal. I later did some research on-line and found out that he was pushing $6.00 a square foot tile and a $2,000 shower pan. I was disappointed that this representative did not recognize where he was and who he was selling to. He did not ask us what our budget was when we started. If he had, he might have said that he could not help us or could have showed us much less expensive options and materials. I just feel that we were not dealt with honestly.

(Remove member name) Obviously I was not at your home when our representative made the sales presentation to you. I can tell you there is a lot more in the jobs we do than $6 tile and a $2,000 shower pan. I won't take the time to try and explain it because it is really irrelevant at this point. We Install over 200 Bathrooms system wide on a monthly bases. On a scale of I to 10 our satisfaction scores consistently rank at 9.5 average. Statewide Remodeling has ben serving Texas Home owners for over 20 years but are prices are not comparable to many other contractors who have less over head because of all the components that go into ever job we do that most others contractors don't feel is necessary. The go for the pretty face and offer a one year warranty. Most jobs will look good when complete and even after the first year. One guarantee we offer that few others can is a 10 year no leak warranty. I think from a company that has been in business for over 20 years that means something. National statistics show 75% of remodeling contractors don't stay in business over 3 years. I'm sure you can find a contractor that can get the work done that you are wanting closer to your budget. I assume you received back any deposits you gave? If I can be of any assistance my direct line is 214-446-9031 Frank Manzare VP/Partner Statewide Remodeling

At first all was great. Then there was a question about how big they could make the shower. It was to be 60 inches. They said we could not knockout the wall we planned on,but they would check. The day construction was to start, we were told they were only going to make a 30 inch shower. We called and did not get a straight answer. In the end they did half of what we contracted for, but did not lower the price accordingly.

Signed contract on 1-3-14 for shower installation thru Home Depot and Statewide Remodeling. Remodeling company started the demolition approximately a month after signing contract. Subcontractors did not show up when we were told they would work on the project however the project was completed after two weeks. We were told if we had any problems to contact them directly. At this time we have one minor problem which we are unable to get resolved. My husband and myself have contacted the field supervisor on numerous occasions to have the water valve turned so that the hot water will come on when the lever is in the hot position and the same for the cold water. This is a five minute job according to the supervisor. The supervisor said he would get the problem resolved each time we call and I am standing by each time for the plumber and no one shows up. At this time, I could not recommend having this company install any further item if a simple thing as a valve cannot be fixed within a months time as a major problem may not be resolved at all. May 19, 2014 - Still waiting on plumber to return to open wall to fix water flow problem so that the valve will work in the proper position for hot and cold water.
