Mark and a "trainee" showed up to make the sale pitch. It was fine with a low amount of pressure and good information. The price he quoted was in between the lower grade of windows and the very high end - so, that was my target area. One of Mark's selling points was that he could get my windows within 2 weeks. While still faster than other competitors, they did take a little over 3 weeks to arrive. Unfortunately, when they came today the windows did not match up with the shutters. So, the window "locking area" was about 2 inches higher than the shutter brace and it looked pretty bad. They had measured for this, but apparently the measurements were either off or they were made wrong. This was not discovered until one set of three windows had already been removed. They quasi-installed the new windows in the open space and agreed to re-make the whole order. I'm happy they are willing to do that, but I still have to wait another two weeks and go through the installation day scheduling, waiting, etc. again. I'm surprised, given that working with shutters must be an everyday occurrence for them, that they got this wrong. Mark, the owner, called and offered a discount if I would take the windows as originally made. I agreed because I just wanted to get everything over with. A full week later, he told me my original windows were damaged and they would not be available to install. He said he would have to re-order, but he would give me the discount anyway. This ultimately served to just delay the process. UPDATE 6/13/2014 - After the dust settled and almost two months after the original order, the new windows are being installed. While the positioning against the shutters is better than the original, some of the windows are still not made properly. At this point, I just want the windows installed and for this project to be over. I have mixed emotions about this company. This entire process has been like a keystone cops episode; however, through it all, Mark has been good to deal with and his installer, James, did a nice job - except (there seems to always be that with this company) - they did not bother to clean the new windows that were installed. So, there are hand prints, putty, etc on them; and, while Mark (as always) says he will take care of it, it means I have to have another service call, move my furniture again, etc., etc....... I have to think my experience is not typical, but it is what it is - thus the review. I think the product quality is ood - the windows look nice - but dealing with Statewide was a bit of a chore. UPDATE ON PRODUCT PERFORMANCE 7/8/2014 - The windows we had replace were 13 year-old "builders windows". On the west end of the house, I had solar screens, shutters and a roll down sun shade on those windows and the room still heated up in the summer and was very cold around the windows in the winter. Basically - no insulation. Since putting in these windows, I have not re-installed the sunscreens and I have not rolled down the extra sun shade. Sometimes, we even leave the shutters open. In spite of all of that, the room maintains a good steady temperature and the windows seem to be performing beautifully. As a result of the product's performance, I have upgraded my ratings of this provider. I also agree with Mark's response below. mistakes do happen and this was just an unfortunate series of one after another. All is well in the end.

They cam out on 3/11/14 and started the install and finished around 6:00 p.m. The removed all the curtains and blinds and then put them back up and vaccummed rooms. The installer also gave us another refresher course on how the windows work. jOB DONE WELL!

The transaction was smooth with everyone doing what was agreed. This project was done in two phases. Four of the windows where replaced in November 2013 and the remaining done March 2014. The price quote given by the salesman was good for one year. The installers are contract, the ones used for my installation where professional, did a good job and cleaned up after they where done. One of the new windows sashes needs to be replaced as the bottom portion of the frame is not quite level, all other windows are fine. They said they will order a new one which should arrive in about one week. They said it will be no charge as these windows come with a lifetime unlimited warranty, which, the salesman makes quite clear in the beginning. The price was with the $100.00 off per window Angies List coupon and comperable with the industry. (I receive quotes from two other companies) The only thing I would advise to be aware of is they do not give much notice when they will be sending someone out to either measure or install which could be an issue if you have a full or busy schedule. Overall the transaction went well.

There crew was amazing how they worked together. They made sure drop clots were down for protection.

What I liked: - James, the sales manager, was very professional and easy to talk to. - No sale pressure, good presentation of products and alternatives. - Good product for the price. - Good installation. What I didn't like: - One window was ordered with incorrect glass type and options. However, I do like it that they immediately reordered a replacement and I didn't have to pay until the whole job is done. I highly recommend talking to Statewide Energy Solutions (not to be confused with Statewide Remodeling) in addition to other windows companies to get a fair comparison of different alternatives. Research online to find out pros and cons of different products. Replacement windows have a wide range of costs; there are better windows that cost a lot more so you want to get something specifically suitable for your situation.

I asked the installer a lot of questions and he explained everything asked, cleaned up, and was fast. I will use this co. again. Fred Stewart

The installers arrived on time and did a very efficient job of removing and installing the replacement windows. I was very impressed with the speed at which they were able to complete the work. I expected the job to take two days but the 18 windows that were being replaced were completed by the end of the first day. Most of the debris from the job was carried away. There was some damage to a couple of window sills and an outside wooden frame but nothing major. Our main issue is that one of the windows required it to be tempered glass and this was stated in the contract. That window was not delivered and a normal window was installed. We brought this to the attention of the company less than a week following the install. The rep came and inspected the window and agreed it wasn't what was ordered. It has now been over two months and the company has made no effort to correct the problem. My wife has made repeated emails to the sales rep that often are ignored but even when a reply is received nothing comes of it. For this reason, a significant lack of customer service after the sale, I cannot in good faith give the company a good reference.

Mark, the company owner, and a sales-man-in-training arrived right on time to present their product and make a bid on replacing my windows/doors. I interviewed three companies for the job and of the three Statewide had, hands-down, the best price and the best warranty. Their sales pitch was the most high pressure and also the only one to call into question the products of the other companies I was interviewing. I was especially concerned when I brought up a technically advanced sealant one of the other companies was using and they maintained pure silicone was the best out there. After a quick internet search I found this not to be true. I think their product is probably as good as any, their warranty is definitely the best, I just don't think they were abreast of new installation innovations, and I think installation is as important as product.

The installation was amazing. The crew led by James were right on time, very professional and even friendly to my children. They finished removing and installing all four windows and six inches of insulation all before noon. They even helped me pull HDMI cables for my TV while they were in the attic. Overall great windows, great service, and my son still talked about James the next day. Great experience.

Entire project went as planned, sales personnel were competent and knowledgeable about their window product. The cost was very competitive. I received 5 bids all from Angie's list vendors. The real stars, the install crew. They did the whole job in 1 day. Everything including clean up to putting furniture back was done very well. I would use this company again

The whole process went great. Mark Shinners, the owner came out and provided detailed information about the windows and options, along with a price quote. James came by the next day and took measurements. Installation went very smoothly. James and his crew did a great job and also cleaned up and moved things back. We had a great experience with Mark and his company. We had received an estimate from another company to replace the same 13 windows and the price was over $10k. Mark came to our home to show us his windows and take measurements. He was very friendly and talkative and we were sold on the windows once he showed them to us and explained all of the different options we could choose from. The final element that sold us was the price...about 40% cheaper than the other guy! We ordered our windows and were told it would take approximately 2 weeks to manufacture them and we would schedule an installation appointment at that time. When the time came for the windows to be installed, the installer came to the house and it turns out they were produced in the wrong color. There was no pressuring us to take the windows or anything like that. They offered an apology and immediately placed the order to expedite manufacture of the correct windows. The installers came out once they had the new windows and had them all installed in about a day and a half. They were also friendly and courteous and left the house in a clean fashion. The windows look great. We have received several compliments from our neighbors about how great the windows look. There is no doubt in my mind that these windows will help us with energy savings while also increasing the value of our home.

We had Statewide energy solutions replace 17 windows on the south side of our house earlier this summer. we were so pleased with the results we decided to replace all the windows on the North side. As a result Statewide energy solutions has now replaced all of the windows in our house. We could not be more pleased. Our neighbors have been asking who we had do the job. I would highly recommend them to anyone. Replacing windows is an expensive undertaking so I would not recommend anyone that is not professional and straight foreword in their business practices.

Mark came out and took measurements of my old 1955 aluminum rimmed windows, then we sat down and he explained everything to me about the product, etc. It took 2 weeks after ordering the windows and to get them back and by then it was July 4th week and everyone was taking a few days off so we arranged for my windows to be installed the following weekend. James came with his two-man crew and they all worked together like clockwork each responsible for his part of the project. James explained to me what they would be doing and approx. how long it would take. James was so nice I felt like I was talking to my son or brother and he was very knowledgeable and did excellent work. I was comfortable enough with all of them to leave them at my house for a couple of hours while I went to pick up my granddaughter for the weekend. When they left they cleaned up inside and out and they were carefull not to step on my plants and bushes outside. The only issue we had was with the old framing, or lack thereof, on my old windows. In discussing it with James we decided to delay putting in the caulking on the outside of the windows until we could get with a mortar person to see if we should try and put additional mortar in the brick around the windows or just fill it in with a filler and caulking. It took a couple of weeks to get that worked out but then James came out and finished the caulking. A few days later a different window salesman came to my door canvasing the neighborhood and he noticed that I had new windows and he commented on the excellent caulking work that James had done. Mark stayed in contact with me throughout the entire process to keep me informed and up to date and was very nice and very informative. All in all, I am very pleased with my new windows and with the work that they all did for me.

But Mark came out and walked us through the technology of the windows so we could understand why his windows were worth the price. Job went better than I could have imagined. The windows took only two weeks to build. When Mark found that one window came in the wrong color, he immediately called to inform me. We decided to delay install until the window was remade. The install crew of two, led by James, were total pros. The caulking was perfect and they ensured all debris was hauled away. One of the windows was cracked so Mark had it replaced withn a week. The effect of the temperature was immediate and within a month I could see the difference in the cooling bill. We will bring Statewide back next year to replace all the front windows.

Everything looks great. The crew cleaned up everything after the job was complete. The windows look really nice from the outside. Definitely feel cooler insider compared to the old windows I had. Planning to replace second floor windows in a year or so.

The job went very well. We first had planned to only install windows on the south side (17 windows) of the house. After seeing the improvement in the appearance of the house and the quality of workmanship we decided to have windows installed on the front or north side of the house as well (7 windows). We are very pleased with the workmanship and professionalism. I would wholeheartedly recommend Statewide Energy Solutions to my friends.

It went great. The owner came out and gave me my estimate. He was very personable and the guys that came out were really hard working. What he charged me, was what he said he would charge me for the extra windows in the deal, it matched. It was about $4,000. I would use them again if I needed too.

First of all the owner, Mark Shinners personally came to my home and quoted the replacement and installation offering me several window options to select from. He said the windows would be ready in 2 to 3 weeks. They were actually ready in 2 weeks and 3 days and the replacement installation was completed in 2 weeks and 6 days from the day I accepted his quote. The 2 installers that did the actual installation were James and Austin. What a great team these 2 are - professional, knowledgeable, outgoing, hard working, always on time and adaptable when an unexpected situation arose, like when part of my fence had shifted and had to be partially disassembled and reassembled to complete the installation on 2 windows or when they had to buy a special saw to be able to make the exterior door fit properly. All in all, it was a pleasant experience from beginning to end with Mark and his installers being "proactive" always keeping me informed of what was going to happen and when.

Everything went well. The windows were installed efficiently and on schedule. They now look really beautiful.

I was tired of waiting for him to call me back all the time so I decided to go with another window company.
