The experience was great. Replaced 28 windows with energy efficient Weather Pro window over a two day period. Work was done on time and when it was promised. The installers worked around our needs and did a great quality job of installing all the windows. We are very impressed with the windows, the duo pane glass and aluminum reinforced , vinyl framed windows provided a small framed and allowed for more glass and more light to come are much more energy efficient. We could not be happier with our decision.

This was the best experience I've ever had with remodeling projects. Our windows were 36 years old with "crispy," faded frames and spiders living between the glass panes. Mark, the owner, came to give us a bid--no fooling around with prices and options, just a reasonable bid. They came the next day to measure and promised the window delivery and installation within 4 weeks. 3 weeks later, the windows were installed. The installation was easy, clean, efficient and down-right pleasant. The crew arrived on time, worked cheerfully all day long, moving furniture, cleaning up, and replacing furniture in each room as they went. I am amazed at the difference in my house! Lots of light is just the beginning. The new frames and shiny windows make the whole house look updated. I highly recommend Statewide Energy Solutions.

Crew arrived on schedule with replacement windows. Took less than one day to perform the removal & replacement. The glass from the old windows was picked up and hauled off. Next day the people stopped by and blew about 6 inches of fiberglass into the attic, then sprayed the radiant barrier. Right off the bat, we noticed that the house was not drafty as before the new windows. Our experience with previous houses led me to believe the summer AC electric bill would exceed maybe $200 or so, but this summer's largest bill was only a bit over $100. Bottom line is great product and quality installation.

It went fine. The sales rep was knowledgeable and polite. They were early when quoting the installation. The crew did a good job, and cleaned up well. The overall experience was great.

Mark was fantastic. He worked with us on the price and gave us a great deal to replace all our siding with Hardy Plank which looks beautiful. His company also replaced all our windows that were over 30 years old. They also enclosed our garage with the french doors that we provided and the windows we ordered through him. The crew was fast, professional and most of all - honest. They came in, did the work, cleaned up after the work and followed up with minor final touches. His price was very competitive and he has worked with us with the final balance to make it comfortable for our budget. Honesty was one of our biggest priorities. As a matter of fact, the windows in our enclosure was, in our eyes, the same as the rest of the house. Mark noticed the rating was not the highest E rating that he wanted us to have so he ordered and replaced them to make it right. We wouldn't have noticed a difference but Mark did and that is why we will use him again in some other future things we need.

We were impressed from Day 1 to Date of Completion. It started with a WONDERFUL estimate experience from Mark. He came out the DAY I called, even though it meant a long day for him to add us on at the end. We signed on the dotted line that very night (we'd alreayd had another estimate and KNEW the value of what he'd given us). 5 weeks later all the windows were in and James and his crew came out for a 2 day installation. Now our entire home looks AMAZING. James and his crew were polite, neat and clean, friendly, respectful - best contractor experience we've ever had!! I would recommend Statewide to everyone wanting new windows.

They were punctual, responsive and professional. The crew was on time, had a system that was fast and efficient, the 12 windows were installed in less than a day. I contacted the company and scheduled an appointment on a date/time that was convenient to me. The representative came out on time. He was a no-pressure sales representative, and after looking at our windows, advised us he would contact us the following Tuesday to offer solutions to some of our oversized front windows. We never received a follow up call, so we ended up going with another vendor.

After doing considerable research on windows through the internet, and having several vendors visit my home to do demonstrations, it was apparent that Statewide had the best product at a competitive price. The installation process was done very methodically and the crew was very thorough with removal, cleanup, and installation of the new windows. They removed the blinds and put them back after cleaning inside and outside. I was very impressed with their attention with not disturbing any furniture and for providing blankets to cover anything near the immediate work area. They used the best materials as well as paid very close attention to detail. The crew, I should add, were extremely friendly, and after having several remodeling contractors over the course of the last month and a half, this is the best crew I've worked with. They cleaned up everything, and even removed some old windows and doors that another crew left behind and wouldn't haul away as promised. I highly recommend Statewide Energy Solutions not only because of the price and service, but also because they have better products than you will find with any other vendor.

Back in November of 2013, we interviewed at least four different window replacement companies. Statewide was the last one. Mark Shinners, the owner, represented the company. While we liked a couple of the other companies well enough, it was Mark who sold the company and the project to us. He knew his product, and you came away feeling that he didn't just want to sell you windows, he wanted to make sure you got what you wanted and were satisfied - all at a competitive price. Windows are not cheap. Actually we were quite shocked when we first started interviewing. Bought the house knowing we would have to replace the windows, but pretty much had the jaw drop when we got our first bid. Statewide was the least expensive bid, but that is not why we chose them. It was their thinner profile window product, and basically our gut feeling that Mark Shinners was a stand-up guy; and if we had any problems, we could count on him to take care of them. We were not wrong. Ordering 53 windows; well, with that large an order, there are bound to be some issues. While everything did not run without a hitch, Mark stood by his word and took care of anything and everything - and he continues to do so. The company stands by their straight forward, no nonsense guarantee. We recently discovered a hole in one of the new windows, damaged by a bird flying into it or a rock flying from lawn maintenance. I called Mark, and he replaced it no problem.

They arrived when they said they would arrive and did the job promptly and efficiently. They were nice, professional, and cleaned up fairly well after themselves. They only missed a small amount of broken glass and some screws. The windows are great with a lot of visibility as compared with others that we looked at. I would use them again because they were easy to deal with, had great prices, and did a great job. They contacted us promptly, several times during the job, and afterwards for a followup making them very good at communicating with us.

James and Nick at scheduled time, started work, Cleaned up and were done in a few hours. Installation was done well and they were very friendly.

I was going to wait to post this review until the job was finally done, but as I enter month 4 of this process I feel like I should warn others about this company. I purchased new windows to replace the single pane windows in a home I had purchased. I chose Statewide Energy Solutions in part because of their reviews in Angie?s List and the BBB, but also, their Marketing Manager, James Templeton, told me that there was a very good chance that if I ordered the windows now that they would be installed before my family moved into the house on May 21st. I ordered 4 single hung and 2 picture windows on April 24, 2014 and closed on the House on May 7th. I had not received any communications from Statewide Energy Solutions, so I called James on May 19th. He told me that my windows could not be installed due to a chance of rain that week and he would try to reschedule the installation for the following week. I had not received any communications from Statewide Energy Solutions, so I called James on May 26th. He seemed confused and stated that he would have to call me back when he got back to his office. I had not received any communications from Statewide Energy Solutions, so I sent an email to James on May 31th. He replied on June 2nd: ?I just got back to the office and we will have your windows tomorrow or Thursday. The office will be in contact with you shortly to go over potential install dates. I apologize for the confusion, but we could not order the windows until you closed on the house. Anyway, we will have them installed easily before June 13th.? I had not received any communications from Statewide Energy Solutions, so I sent an email to James on June 10th. He called me and stated that the manufacture had not completed the windows yet and they would not be done before June 13th. He insisted that they should be done next week and told me that he had put a ?rush? on the order. I asked to speak with the owner of Statewide Energy Solutions, Mark Shinners. I spoke to Mark and voiced my frustration with James and his company. He insisted that James has done nothing wrong and his behavior was consistent with what he expects from his employees. When I asked him to cancel my order, he stated that I was legally bound to purchase the windows. I had to leave town for two weeks, so I scheduled an installation date of July 7th. I had not received any communications from Statewide Energy Solutions, so I called Mark on July 2nd and left a message. He did not return my phone call, so I called him again on July 3rd. He stated that the windows were ready and his subcontracted install team would be at my house at around 9am on July 7th. The supervisor of the subcontracted install team calls me on the morning of the 7th to say that he noticed that one of the picture windows has a tan frame while the other windows all have a white frame. I told him that was not what I ordered and called Mark. He stated that ?this had never happened before? and that he would order the window again with the correct frame. The subcontracted install team arrived at my house and began installing the windows. After removing one my old windows, the install team realizes that one of the windows was mismeasured and is 9 inches too large. They reinstall the old window and I call Mark again. He states that he is going to figure out what happened. He insists that the replacement windows should be ready in 2 weeks, 3 weeks at the most. The supervisor of the subcontracted install team tells me that he just mismeasured the window and apologizes. He also tells me that Mark will contact me to discuss financial compensation for all the problems I have had. I had not received any communications from Statewide Energy Solutions, so I called Mark on July 28th. Even though 3 weeks have now passed, the manufacture had not completed the 2 replacement windows yet. He states that he is going to check with the manufacture and call me back by the end of the day to schedule the installation. I never received a call from Mark, have not been offered any compensation for the time I have spent dealing with this companies incompetence, and I have yet to receive my last two windows.

from signing of the contract, the time of 5 to 6 weeks for windows to be measured, new ones made and installed was accurate.. Just take note what they tell you of the time frame in the beginning and they're accurate on time. We will use this company in the future for our house since we have 18 windows. They arrived on time and got started. They removed the windows one at a time and replaced them and cleaned up as they went. At the end the vacuumed around each window and finally caulked around each window. It took them about 4 hours to complete the job. I would recommend them to family and friends

Mark and a "trainee" showed up to make the sale pitch. It was fine with a low amount of pressure and good information. The price he quoted was in between the lower grade of windows and the very high end - so, that was my target area. One of Mark's selling points was that he could get my windows within 2 weeks. While still faster than other competitors, they did take a little over 3 weeks to arrive. Unfortunately, when they came today the windows did not match up with the shutters. So, the window "locking area" was about 2 inches higher than the shutter brace and it looked pretty bad. They had measured for this, but apparently the measurements were either off or they were made wrong. This was not discovered until one set of three windows had already been removed. They quasi-installed the new windows in the open space and agreed to re-make the whole order. I'm happy they are willing to do that, but I still have to wait another two weeks and go through the installation day scheduling, waiting, etc. again. I'm surprised, given that working with shutters must be an everyday occurrence for them, that they got this wrong. Mark, the owner, called and offered a discount if I would take the windows as originally made. I agreed because I just wanted to get everything over with. A full week later, he told me my original windows were damaged and they would not be available to install. He said he would have to re-order, but he would give me the discount anyway. This ultimately served to just delay the process. UPDATE 6/13/2014 - After the dust settled and almost two months after the original order, the new windows are being installed. While the positioning against the shutters is better than the original, some of the windows are still not made properly. At this point, I just want the windows installed and for this project to be over. I have mixed emotions about this company. This entire process has been like a keystone cops episode; however, through it all, Mark has been good to deal with and his installer, James, did a nice job - except (there seems to always be that with this company) - they did not bother to clean the new windows that were installed. So, there are hand prints, putty, etc on them; and, while Mark (as always) says he will take care of it, it means I have to have another service call, move my furniture again, etc., etc....... I have to think my experience is not typical, but it is what it is - thus the review. I think the product quality is ood - the windows look nice - but dealing with Statewide was a bit of a chore. UPDATE ON PRODUCT PERFORMANCE 7/8/2014 - The windows we had replace were 13 year-old "builders windows". On the west end of the house, I had solar screens, shutters and a roll down sun shade on those windows and the room still heated up in the summer and was very cold around the windows in the winter. Basically - no insulation. Since putting in these windows, I have not re-installed the sunscreens and I have not rolled down the extra sun shade. Sometimes, we even leave the shutters open. In spite of all of that, the room maintains a good steady temperature and the windows seem to be performing beautifully. As a result of the product's performance, I have upgraded my ratings of this provider. I also agree with Mark's response below. mistakes do happen and this was just an unfortunate series of one after another. All is well in the end.

They cam out on 3/11/14 and started the install and finished around 6:00 p.m. The removed all the curtains and blinds and then put them back up and vaccummed rooms. The installer also gave us another refresher course on how the windows work. jOB DONE WELL!

The transaction was smooth with everyone doing what was agreed. This project was done in two phases. Four of the windows where replaced in November 2013 and the remaining done March 2014. The price quote given by the salesman was good for one year. The installers are contract, the ones used for my installation where professional, did a good job and cleaned up after they where done. One of the new windows sashes needs to be replaced as the bottom portion of the frame is not quite level, all other windows are fine. They said they will order a new one which should arrive in about one week. They said it will be no charge as these windows come with a lifetime unlimited warranty, which, the salesman makes quite clear in the beginning. The price was with the $100.00 off per window Angies List coupon and comperable with the industry. (I receive quotes from two other companies) The only thing I would advise to be aware of is they do not give much notice when they will be sending someone out to either measure or install which could be an issue if you have a full or busy schedule. Overall the transaction went well.
