Window, door and siding replacement - hardie color plus Plank siding, vinyl, wood, fiberglass, composite & aluminum.
Arrived on-time. Took down all curtains and rods. Removed the windows. Re-chalked the window frames almost perfectly. One of the windows was broken, but the company was quick to replace it at no charge. I would use them again in the near future for our next home or other investment properties.
Description of Work: I called over 3 bidders. Statewide was in the middle. The reason why I picked them was the owner has decades of experience in the window business, educated me on window types, and knows almost very competitor price range. He was very reasonable in the pricing and installation. 20 vinyl windows double pane replacement.

The windows are of excellent quality. The sales rep had wonderful ideas that I loved and saved me money. Scott the installer did a fabulous job. In the last seven years I've replaced all my windows in three sets each time with a different company because I was never satisfied before. I just wished I had started with Statewide. Also, Statewide has the very best guarantee. I would give them an A+.

We had 6 windows replaced after the March/April 2016 hailstorms. Understandably, the storms caused window service to suffer widespread delays and problems. Promptness: Even allowing for that, it took repeated trips (three) requiring us to arrange to be here for those 3 days: one day, they had promised they would absolutely be here that morning. That afternoon, I called them and they said they couldn't come out again until another day. That day, too, they were late. We used at least 4 days of personal time off work to meet these folks. For six windows! The materials: We're warned never to take the first bid. I figured Angies List counted as at least one or two bids. Wrong. As prompt as these folks were on the initial visit where we signed the contract, they were terribly unprompt throughout the remainder of our dealings with them. The windows didn't drain right after rains and the sashes don't open and close easily. Eventually, they came out and finally fixed it. We don't know how much of the problem is crummy windows and how much is related to inability for this company to measure window size and insure square placement. For sure, though, this crew made sure to squeeze the windows in! Workmanship: They didn't do a good job cleaning up broken glass when they took the old windows out (in the bedroom, no less): if we hadn't become so adapted to their poor workmanship, we wouldn't have bothered to worry about it. They damaged the screens that came with the new windows. They had to replace one window because it was defective (or they just didn't square off the opening?). I couldn't bear seeing them literally chiseling away at the fascia opening of one of our windows. Had they measured the openings correctly when they made the order, would it have been like this? Anyway, watching them use a chisel to remove long linear sections of the fascia, I offered to let them use my power tools because they didn't have the Sawzall they typically used. The boss had to go on a "call" while he was here and took the "Sawzall" with him. So, that must mean it's time for the less delicate chisel! They loved my Dremel saw, though! "We could use one of these!" Professionalism: Despite the fact that the contract says you pay the deposit and then the remainder on completion. tBut, given the fact that the workers - being as they couldn't finish when promised - asked for some of the remainder ahead of time. Again, it took over 5 visits spread over at least 7 months from initial contract to completion (to get the water to drain from the windows correctly). I appreciate that it was a difficult time following the storms. If we had been dealt with in a reliable way (not showing up, leaving early to take care of emergencies), we could understand waiting. It felt like we were dealing with complete amateurs, however. Well-intentioned, I feel certain. But, I would never use them again.

I’m so happy with them. I got estimates from everybody and they all were very expensive, almost on par with the price of a luxury car! I called Statewide Energy Solutions and they gave a wonderful quote. And they did a magnificent job. The gentleman, James Templeton, who came out and gave me the quote send a crew once I got the deposit in, he send someone out to measure, and then when the windows came in, they got them in in a timely fashion. One of the things I kept reading on Angie’s List was that a lot of the people said things like they broke the windows, and glass was everywhere, they didn’t clean it up well. So that was one thing I was very cautious about. But he told me that they would be very careful and that I’ve got very old windows and that they should come out well. I think I heard a glass break once, and they replaced fourteen windows. I was so impressed with their installation crew. I could not be happier. They’ve been nothing but good, kind, courteous, professional, I cannot speak highly enough of Statewide Energy Solutions.
Description of Work: I've used Statewide Energy Solutions for windows.
It went great. The installation team arrived at my home exactly at the time I was told they would be here and finished the job in one day. The work ethic was top notch. When some of the window were removed they found ants and Caleb came to me asking if I had ant spray which I did and he used it in the places where it was needed. The job sight was very neat. I have two inside dogs and the project manager Caleb recommended that they would complete the master bedroom and bath at the end of the day. This allowed me to keep the dogs with me during that time in the bedroom. The installers Were not loud and the dogs never barked and they are terriers! Also due to the foundation shifting the sliding doors required additional help to make everything square. They did a great job with that and everything looks awesome. My neighbors love how the Windows look and of course I do too!
Description of Work: I needed replacement windows (15) plus new doors (2) for my home removing the original Windows that were in the home since 1964. James Templeton, met with me at my home and gave me a detailed estimate at our meeting. He was very knowledgeable and he explained their windows and illustrated with a sample window. They are a preferred provider of a manufacturer window that I had researched and wanted in my home, Vistamark Windows. 2 days later (as committed) the installing team came to my home to take exact measurements. Also they replaced my French back doors with energy efficient sliding doors and a metal entry door.

What a wonderful experience we had with Statewide Energy Solutions. From the professionalism and knowledge displayed by the sales rep, James, to the expertise and perfection of the installer, I could not be happier with my purchase and the quality of service. In addition to getting new windows, our home was in the process of having foundation work. The salesman advised us to have the foundation work performed first and then have the windows installed. Out of all the window companies that we met with, this salesman was the only one who advised us to complete the foundation work prior to installing the new windows. There was no pressure to purchase from Statewide Energy Solutions. The salesman truly had concern and the expertise in knowing the foundation should be repaired first. The entire process from start to finish was three weeks, and the salesman provided weekly updates on the status of the job. There are no complaints regarding the installation process or the installer. In fact, the installer was such a perfectionist that he replaced a broken window seal before installing the window. His workmanship was excellent. We had bids from several other window companies, so we did shop around before we selected Statewide Energy Solutions. Statewide Energy Solutions was not the cheapest company, but they were by far the most knowledgeable and professional.

James Templeton came to our home. He spent just the right amount of time---not too long, but long enough to provide all the information we needed. We had an appointment the same day with a national chain and the difference in the two sales techniques was stark. James listened...made suggestions...and helped us make decisions and he did all this knowing we had another company coming the same day. The national chain came in and "told" us what we needed and would not even discuss any options. We called James back right away...discussed pricing and ordered 8 windows with a vinyl wrap for the wood exterior on the bay windows. They are beautiful..the whole house seems refreshed with the new windows. Very good service and great bunch of installers!
Description of Work: Our windows were original to the home built in 1990. The glass was cracked on one window and all others were holding moisture in between the two panes of glass. We had some damage to the wood around our bay windows.

The job took longer than expected from measurement date to the installation because 3 of my windows are non-standard rounded tops and were difficult to make. A crew came out and measured my old windows September 22nd, returned a few days late to make a template of the rounded tops, and the installation finally began November 12th. The expected one day installation actually took 3 days but was handled very well. Removing the old windows and cleaning up the old mortar was time consuming. Even though it took longer than I had hoped, I am pleased with the windows and sliding door and how the installation went. Next time I need windows I'll call Mark at Statewide Energy Solutions.

So far so good. I was won over by their product. They seamed to be the best of the 3 samples we looked at. They were professional. We were laughing and joking with the guy. Overall they did a great job and held to their commitment. We needed the door installed before my son returned from vacation. We are very pleased with their work and will use them again. Thank you.

Everything started well. Mark responded quickly to my request for an estimate, James came out and measured, gave me some suggestions on the best type of windows for my home and had some creative ideas for a large picture window that I have. We agreed on pricing, the windows were ordered, and even came in quicker than I expected. A couple of weeks before installation I called wanting an estimate for replacement of four doors. I was told that James would call me back. I asked two or three times for a return call. On installation day (3/16/16) the crew came out on time, looked professional and went right to work. The crew leader (I think his name was Caleb) showed me an issue with one of the windows, told me he had texted a picture of the problem to Mark and assured me that a new window would be ready in 1 1/2 weeks. They finished the job in one day. I was very happy. Over the course of the next couple of weeks I continued calling and asking for an estimate for the doors, In the mean time the seal on one of the windows broke and looked like it was filled with condensation. I called Mark to report the window issue and to ask again for someone to call about doors. At this point I was starting to get frustrated. Finally James came out to verify the window issue and give me an estimation on the doors. I was told a new window would be ordered, it would take 1 1/2 weeks to come in. I received an email with the door estimate about a week later and asked for a breakdown of the costs instead of a lump sum. I never received that breakdown. I finally gave up asking. Approximately two weeks after ordering the second window I started calling about the status. Mark advised me that he just found out one of the windows was dropped and broke. It would take another 1 1/2 weeks. Approximately two weeks later I again called to get the status. We scheduled a date for the two replacements. The crew came out, tried replacing the windows, broke both of them. I was told one had. a "fish eye" which caused it to break, the other couldn't be balanced (?) or something. The would both be reordered, it would take 1 1/2 weeks. By this time I've lost faith in this company. I've heard more excuses from Mark than I ever imagined possible. The windows are finally available and they were supposed to be here between 1:00 and 3:00 on 6/7/16. At 3:30 I called Mark. He said the crew really did have a flat tire and could they please come out later. I was livid and said no. We rescheduled for June 8 between 1:00 and 3:00. Two men showed up and installed one of the windows. One of them then told me that his trailer was broken and he wasn't able to pick up the second window. He would have to come out the next day. He said he would be here by 1:00 on June 9, 2016, and would personally call me when he was in route. One June 9, at 12:50 a different person shows up - no phone call, wearing a "Trane" shirt, driving a car. I was completely confused. Who was he? He finally explained that he was here to replace the window. During the installation the original (actually the 2nd) window fell out. This window is over my back door and the door was open. Now there is shattered glass all over my porch and the entry of my house. He said that the window had not been glued in properly and that's why it fell. I called Mark and advised him that if any of my pets get cut on the glass he will be held responsible for the vet bills. So, on June 9, 2016 the window installation that started almost three months ago is finally complete.

In the fall of 2014, Statewide replaced all of the windows on our home. They were reasonable, professional and didn't use the usual sales pitch that most window companies used. The installation went well and we were very pleased with the job. In March of this year, we had a leak and they came out, resealed and recaulked at no charge. They are easy to work with and I would definitely recommend them.

We bought all new windows for our house last year - Feb. 2015 from Statewide Energy Solutions. I should have written a review then but totally forgot! I was reminded when we had a leaky window with this last bad downpour we had. Mark sent out his guys and they resealed and recaulked that window plus the one above it. Cost to us? Nothing! Even over a year later, they still stand behind their work. When we got estimates for the job last year, Statewide was by far the most reasonable. They didn't pressure sell or give us the same hour-long canned presentation. They actually listened to us and did the best for us and our budget. The work was exceptional. The installers were here when they said they would be and did an excellent job. We would definitely recommend Statewide Energy Solutions to anyone in the market for windows.

The work was performed in two stages. The windows went in first and that crew did a fantastic job. The second crew came out later to replace the siding. The siding on the back of our house was warped and pulling away from the house. The crew tore everything down to the studs and reworked the layers then put on the new Hardee board siding. It looks great. They did a great job and cleaned up the yard nicely. We will definitely use them when we replace our other windows.

We had a three other window companies come out and give us estimates. One Home depot was overpriced and under warrantied, Sears was overpriced and tried to sell us things we did not want or need. The other guy came out, measured, would not speak English or call us back afterwards. I wont' waste time reviewing them. That will speak for itself I am sure. Mark had someone out the day after we called who was eager to educate us about windows in general. I have spent my adult career in construction trades; he was competent and not trying to b******* us. There was not pressure to buy. We slept on it and ordered windows; they arrived withing the 3-8 wks. (6) The installers were scheduled and arrived the next day on time. All of them were native English speakers. Dropcloths/ tarps were used inside and out. I supervised the install and was impressed by their attention to detail and professionalism. They had 8 windows done in three hours. One window had been misordered and another damaged. Mark readily admitted and resolved these issues to our satisfaction with no prodding from me. When researching Statewide Energy Solutions, I noticed some bad reviews that were obviously directed at another company with "Statewide" in their name. One person had the right company, but wildy unrealisitic expectations. I had a great experience. Communication throughout was good, expectations were met and exceeded for the product and services.

Beginning with our first meeting with James Templeton of Statewide Energy Windows, Inc., our south-facing window replacement project was easy to accomplish and very professionally handled. Mr. Templeton worked with us to make the most of this home improvement project at a fair price. The team with Statewide Energy Solutions, Inc. was very professional, prompt and courteous. The actual installation of our new energy efficient windows was professionally done, along with cleanup at the end of the job. We would most definitely recommend Statewide Energy Solutions, Inc. to anyone interested in window replacement. We do intend to work with Statewide Energy Solutions, Inc. in the future.

They did a fantastic job!!! Adam showed up on time and was very knowledgeable on their products. I was thrilled by there estimate since Sears quoted $2500 for 3 windows and after Statewide's estimate, Home Depot came out and gave me an estimate, and theirs was $3900 for 3 windows. I would say the reason I went with Statewide, not because they were the least expensive, but I went with them because of how I felt about their professionalism and candid demeanor. Adam didn't try and sell me a product, he sold me a company which I will use for the rest of my windows when the time comes to replace those. Jim who came out and did the measurements, Steve and Kaleb and their crew that did the install, right down to Mark the owner, everyone always did what they said they would and I would highly recommend them to anyone. Thank you Statewide Energy Solutions!!!!! Jodie Rea

I did not use Statewide Energy Solutions for this project.
Description of Work: I contacted four companies to provide an estimate to replace all of my original single pane windows with double pane windows. The estimate was to also include replacing a storm door and two exterior doors. The Statewide Energy representative that came out to provide an estimate measured the windows and doors. He then said he'd go back to the office and work up an estimate and wanted to schedule another appointment to bring me a sample of the windows they would use and the estimate. The other 3 companies that provided estimates for this work came to the initial appointment with either sample product and/or brochures of the products and were prepared to provide an estimate at that time. I really did not want to make time to meet with the Statewide Energy representative a second time to get their estimate.

Response from Statewide Energy Solutions Inc
We are the ultimate "no pressure" company. Sometimes customers want a price on the spot. We can and will accommodate if we are able to. With doors we have to get a bid from the manufacturer and don't just throw enough money in the quote to cover ourselves. We would rather be accurate in our quotes and treat all our customers with the same pricing. Sorry we just can't make everyone happy.
