All the workers were fantastic and took great care to not get paint where it didn't belong. They gave a full 4 day's work and left me speechless with the professional job and quality of workers. I highly reocmmend Southern Paining. Ron and crew were awesome to work with. I give them two thumbs up! I will call them again when I dedice to paint the outside of my house or any additional painting inside.

I was very impressed with them and decided on Southern Painting due to the fact that they are a locally owned company and that they were going to do more work for the same rate as some other companies.

The job went flawless. They cleaned up after themselves and once they left, you wouldn't have known anyone was there. Alan, my project manager, was punctual and was concerned about making sure the job was done right and was to my satisfaction. I would hire them again for any future painting.

Painting is never fun - but this company was a pleasure to work with. The employees were polite and professional. Overall I would give the experience a 9.8 on a scale of 1-10...the only thing I would improve on is having them use a shopnvac whne they are done to clean up any dust or debris they have left behind. I would use this company again.

We were surprised that Southern's rep Kent was able to give us an estimate on the spot. We were not ready to paint for several months because we were waiting for new window installation and we really expected the price to go up. Once notified that the windows were in, Kent was quick to offer a paint start date that turned out to be a bad weather day. They were able to begin work as soon as the weather cleared. Kent phoned often to give us an update on the progress and/or weather delays, so we never had to wonder what was going on with the job. The crew was there when expected!!! Our house was built in the 30s and required some wood repair and siding replacement that Southern was able to do. We were relieved that we didn't have to search for someone else to do that part of the job. The excellent prep work included power wash/wet scrape, caulking and prime coat - and the final paint coat (some sprayed, some brushed) matched what we wanted. There is no evidence of overspray on the brick, new roof and windows (a big concern of mine) and they did an excellent job of cleaning up the property, leaving no indication that they had ever been to our property except for a beautiful paint job. The Southern crew was professional and committed, working practically non-stop. I can't say enough about Kent's service. He is professional, informative and knowledgable and a good guy to boot. If you're looking for a painter who shows up on time, does what they say they're going to do-when they are going to do it, and performs beyond your expectation then Southern should be your choice.

We had moved furniture in preparation for them. They come to the house and got ready to do the job and they then said we were misquoted and they wanted to add $2300. We went from $3200 to $5500! We were not happy with this. We let them know we were not happy and asked them what changed. They said the person misquoted and said it was going to take 2 coats instead of one. We understand the painters were just the messengers and we had to put them and the work on hold while we tried to get it figured out. My biggest issue was that Jon Box did not reach out to us with a negotiation, apology, nothing. The workers themselves might do good work we were just not happy with Jon's professionalism turned off. It came down to we felt this was an ethical issue with Jon Box getting us to a point to where we did not have many options to get this corrected since it just was right before Christmas.

My only complaint is that the "Southern Painting" listed here is not the one that responded. They apparently have 5 or so different different divisions/franchises through the area, so you may get a different one from the report here, which I did living in Desoto. I called this one because of the reviews and it says they accept credit cards and give a 5% discount for AL members. Tim's division does not accept credit cards, and he was unaware of the 5% off coupon. To his credit, he did honor the 5% discount after I explained that was why I called...but I still had to pay with a check, which I would've preferred to avoid. Why any company that provides such a kind of big-ticket service wouldn't accept CCs is beyond me.

The quality of the work was exellent. southern showed up bright and early the first day with a dozen workers. Then when they had to come back for the touch up work, one man that had to come back two different days. The work and the price was top notch. We will call Southern Painting whenever we need more work done.

Wonderful experience. Crew showed up at exactly the time specified, were very neat, organized and professional. The results were fantactic. Would highly recommend.

All three times -- work performed punctually and to a high standard. Both historic homes and playhouse look great! Pricing extremely competitive and our satisfaction with the work is high. When a trim error was made on some gingerbread detailing, a quick call brought someone back the next morning to correct it. A slight concern with workers stomping or putting equipment down in flower beds and mangling or destroying plants there, but this was an occasional and not overwhelming issue. Crew are polite, efficient, and quiet.

It was an estimate only and I was advised to wait and let my drywall get good and dry (after a plumbing problem.) It went well and when we are ready to do the painting they will do the job.

They're very nice and professional. The finished the job on time. They were a little late getting started, but they finished the job in the amount of time they were supposed to.

Touch-up and repaint walls in three colors in 3 rooms. Very precise and professional painting was required,. A crew of six men had it done in about 3 hours. Very pleased with the result and would hire again.

hey charged me almost $3,000 for the work. They were quite efficient. They did a good job. I will work with them in the future if required.

I interviewed three painters and he had the most detailed estimate. I needed someone certified for lead paint and he was. Very good job. Especially with the details.

It was fantastic. I actually looked at comments that everybody left for them, on previous jobs they were “A” rated and I would agree. They were timely, cost effective, upfront, honest, and did high quality work. I would use their services again in the future.

Since we had seen a number of Southern Painting signs in our neighborhood over the years we thought we would contact them to give us a quote to repaint the interior of our house. The sales person who came out was very professional and was proactive in getting me an estimate. If you choose to have Southen Painting quote be prepared for sticker shock. Their quote, was almost $3,000 higher than my next highest quote (and that was after applying a 25% discount). And they were more than double the recommended painter I have chosen to go with.

The crew of 5-7 showed up on time and overall they did a wonderful job. My issue was the crew shrunk during the day down to 2. This resulted in taking much longer than I anticipated for the amount of work to be done. They were still painting my front door at dusk and I had to leave my door open until very late in the evening to avoid the paint sticking to the threshold. When I questioned the salesman about the crew reduction, he said they had another job in the area that had to be finished. I just felt that even though my job was possibly smaller than most, I deserved the same amount of attention as a larger job. I would hire them again, however confirm up front the amount of time the job will take.

I have used Southern Painting two times to paint. Both times they have been punctual, consistently working and finish when they say they will finish. My house is approximately 2500 sq. feet. They painted interior, exterior and painted, taped and floated a two car garage in a one week period. These guys even worked in some of the coldest weather we had. They used space heaters in the garage to complete painting. I had two other painter companies bid on the job. Southern's price is very competitive. I will always call Southern first.

We found them through Angie's List and got a different person the second time. The guy we interacted with and facilitated everything was proactive, upfront and said he would come by and check on the work but I never saw him again. We didn't need him anyway, the crew was tremendous. They were very efficient and covered and protected the furniture. They are super efficient, the painting was wonderful, the work they do is flawless, as well as the clean up and they are very polite. We had a couple of places where the drywall needed to be fixed, they fixed it all and it looks fabulous. They did a good job, it's a very good company. I'd tell others without hesitation to hire them. They are reasonably priced, sometimes the management isn't around but they do get it set up and the crews are tremendous.

They were fine. I thought the estimate was a little high. He was on time. They were very professional.

Excellent overall job. I really liked working with Jon Box and his crew did a fine job. I would definately recomend them.

It was out of the ballpark; it was too expensive. There were too many tiers for the pricing structure and it was too confusing for me.

Everything's great. We use them regularly.
