The estimator, Tanner was great. The Workers showed up on time and did a very good job.

It went well considering we were having the carpet removed in all rooms but the kitchen and bathrooms and replaced with wood flooring. The situation caused multiple moves of the furniture. Between the flooring workers and the painting crew the whole thing went as well as could be expected but we wouldn't do it that way again. Installation of the flooring required removal of the baseboards which required painting - decision time, paint or floor first.

Professional, personable painters. Did an excellent job in the amount of time estimated. A tad bit pricey but the work done was exactly what we agreed to. Couldn’t be happier with Southern Painting.

We've used them several times. The work was very good.

I got 3 bids and they were the best. They were good, professional, got the job done and the owner came by to look at the job twice while it was in process.

They contacted me quickly for the initial quote (April 5). Insurance was involved so I requested a revised quote on same day after speaking to insurance adjuster. I followed up 4/11, did not receive a response, followed up 4/12, was promised I would have a revised quote that day and had several follow up calls after that. I finally received the revised quote 4/24. I followed up 4/27 to ask next steps in the process. I was scheduled for 5/16. On 5/8 I received a call saying they had an opening and could they start sooner. I said yes they could start 5/9 and they indicated they would arrive at 9:00 a.m. At 8:45 the on 5/9 I received a text indicating that the painter van would not start and they would not able to start. We agreed that they could start 5/10 and asked if they could start earlier at 8:30. On 5/10 the sub-contracted painting crew arrived and the Southern painting representative had not provided details on the paint job so they asked me to do a walk thru of the what needed to be painted, the colors, etc. Southern painting representative indicated he had to stop to get air in his tire on 5/9. I left for my office and did not speak with Southern painting representative, which in hindsight was likely a bad idea. On 5/10 we were told that a 2nd coat was not included and it would be additional cost. We are also told that the quote did not include the trim (door jams, crown molding, etc) despite the fact the it was checked on the quote. I asked the subcontractor to stop the work and asked Southern painting representative to meet me at the house since we were not on the same page. He agreed to meet me and we came to an agreement. I was disappointment that the representative didn't advise us on the need for a 2nd coat prior to starting the job and knowing the colors we wanted and that our walls were all white. Unfortunately the subcontractor put one big scratch on our brand new floors. They are taking care of the repair but still disappointing. Lastly, we ask them to come back for touch ups, which they did willingly, but again something I would expect to have been completed. Things such as paint on furniture, floor, curtain rods, etc. They were small spots but I feel there was a lack of attention to detail that I would expect. However, maybe my expectations are unrealistic.

Jon and his team did an outstanding job. I am very pleased with the results.

They did a great job. Three people came out and it took them three days. They had very good attention to detail.

It went well! The only thing they didn't do was the front door because I was out of town. They did come back at the next available date and finished it! Eric B. came out and did the estimate. I had a lot of trim that needed to be replaced too. They changed out the trim and located someone problems and were reasonable. I'll probably use them again to do my interior painting. They are very reasonable and I am very satisfied with their service. They also gave me a $100 discount from the web.

Very well. Anthony was great about calling and keeping me updated on the progress. I was pleased with the results.

Contractor began on Tuesday morning, finished on Friday noon. They worked with 2 or 3 men each day, did a good job. They cleaned up after themselves very well.

We had hired them in the past to do 2 other rooms and a chest of drawers so we were pretty confident in the quality of work. Unfortunately the sales person/project manager we had worked with before had left the company. I think that is where things broke down for us. When the job was finally finished, it looked good but getting to the final product was a chore. Here are the problems we encountered. First, they estimated 3 days to complete the work. It turned into 6. I will give them one day grace as I added a bathroom onto the job after it started but it only took 1/2 a day for them to do that room. In the midst of our job, the subcontractor did not show one day (not sure why) and then he only had 2 people here working on a couple of days. Had he had adequate number of people and done the kitchen first, which required more time for drying and work due to there being wallpaper, the job would have been finished much sooner. Second, I requested that the kitchen be done first because we have a soon with food allergies and we need our kitchen. They said it would be. Turns out, it was the last room completed. Third, one of the rooms got painted with two different types of paints - one was eggshell, the other a flat. They would not admit this and were reluctant to repaint even though it was very obvious. Finally, as part of the first three issues, there was a lack of professionalism on the part of the sales person and subcontractor. Overall we were satisfied with the final product but do not recommend them, and will not use them again.

In short, things went pretty bad initially, apparently due to an under-trained sales person. When my issues were escalated, a senior owner stepped in - and things turned around very quickly. The North Dallas franchise owner (Steve) was very courteous, provided stellar service, and his team delivered a top quality paint job. Steve made every effort to ensure that I had a good experience with the company, and I'd easily recommend him to anybody in the vicinity of the North Dallas branch. Unfortunately I don't believe the central Dallas franchise is run with the same integrity. Overall there is "take care of the customer" attitude among top management and they do strive to deliver quality work.

Everything went perfect. Guys were very neat, accurate in the cut lines. Very nice guys, respectful. And Jon came back the next day to make sure it was right. Never had that before, Who does that? I liked that a lot,. LOL I found nothing that I could tell him and I did look. Will use again. 7908 Fair Oaks Ave

Without a hitch. They arrived on schedule and finished the job on schedule, exactly as promised.

Started off terrible as in 8 hours late, entire crew didn't show and the foreman was non-existent after salesman left. Missed date to finish impacting my move in, had the interior spray machine hose burst by mis-use of painter and showered my wood flloors, windows, chandeliers, lights in gray paint, took a half day to clean and there is still paint splatter we are cleaning up. Then they didn't put two coats on several ceilings and fireplace, left canned lights hanging, did not reinstall surround speakers, left an entire entry ceiling brown when every wall around and other ceilings we painted gray. It was a very unprofessional job from start to finish, accident and all, they sent the B or C team, changed painters each of 3 days and ran us over and didn't finish job, so I fired them. I have asked owner Jon for response and to help but crickets, so I will not recommend or use any Southern Painting subsidiary in the future given this lack of customer service and satisfaction they could care less of delivering.

The two workers were great. I am very pleased with their work. They were friendly and easy to get along with. I am very satisfied with this company.

They did a good job, completed the whole job over 2 days. Later on I saw evidence of poor workmanship in a couple of places.

Went great. Jon was able to work with me on the price. I did see touch-ups that needed to be done the day after the job. I spoke with Jon about it and he sent the painter out ASAP to make the repairs.Looks great and changes the whole look of the bathroom!

A totally professional operation. On time...efficient...Carlos who did the work was excellent and John Box. the contact person. was readily available and committed to see that all was properly done.

Overall, it was a great experience. Jon showed up quickly to prepare an estimate, the estimate was fair, and they stayed true to it. They were able to get started in a reasonable amount of time. I was really impressed by the number of team members working on our house. As a result, the work was done much sooner than expected. I liked that the Project Manager checked out the site mid-project to see how everything was coming along. After the project was completed, I noticed that there was a small area that needed some rework. Within a day, they happily sent a follow-up crew out to touch-up.

They were great. Very professional.

The service was outstanding. Robert Whipple, the owner, took care of the entire process, offering sound advice throughout the job and being on site frequently. The crew was very professional and handled the masking of the trim and the protection of the floors masterfully.

Workers were late most of the time. Even though they covered the furniture and part of the floor, they got paint on the furniture, bedspread, appliances, countertops and floor. They also broke several things. One man went around doing touch up on walls, ceiling and woodwork using the same paint bucket even though it should have been three different kinds of paint. They did come back and repainted the places they did incorrectly. The supervisor told them not to do the corners of my bedroom walls so they could get through with the project on time even though I contracted for them to do the corners. Talked to the owner and he sent them back to complete the job. I did ask if I could have a different crew as my sister in Plano had a very good crew to do work for her. She had recommended Southern Painting to me. But they wouldn't give me another crew. Some of this crew didn't seem to have experience in painting.
