Description of Work: We were headed out of town on vacation and noticed that the air conditioner was making lots of noise. Sala was called and they responded very quickly and serviced the unit by noon so that we could continue with out trip. They have also done routine maintenance on our air conditioner and we have been very pleased with their service.

Description of Work: My usual heating check just before I needed to start using the heat again. They have been helping me with my A/C needs for at least 10 years. They have always been dependable and trustworthy.

Description of Work: Ran new air conditioning ducting to two rooms from existing air handler. Unlike some other companies that sent out young guys who only wanted to sell me a brand new system while my HVAC system was in good condition and could handle a bigger load, Sala's estimator, Jeff Loftin, spent the time to figure out the layout of my ducts, and bid exactly what was needed. The job ended up taking less time than anticipated (less than one day; I had to get another company to patch the walls, since Sala doesn't do that), and Sala credited back to me some of the original cost that I had agreed to. I would gladly do business with them again.

Description of Work: I have been using Sala since 2000, simply out of loyalty because they were honest with me the day they first came out to the condo I lived in back then. It had the central AC unit up high on the roof, too high for most companies to even want to bother going up there. It stopped cooling. I had a couple of companies come out and tell me that I needed to replace the whole system for who know how many thousands of dollars. One technician even showed me a wire that he picked up somewhere as if it were proof that I needed a total system replacement. Then Sala came out, but they were honest. They told me it was an old system that probably had some leaks. They gave me my choices: (1) Carefully take the system apart to find the leaks. (2) Fill it up with freon and if it were all to leak out soon, then I could consider a system replacement. (3) Fill it up with freon, and it could very well last for many more years without any problems. I chose option 3. They put in the freon and the unit worked like a charm until I sold the place ten years later. The new owners still haven't replaced the unit. They probably charged me not more than a hundred dollars for some freon that has continued to cool the condo since the year 2000. How could I not be loyal to a company like that? |These days, I live in a very old house with a gas heating system up in the attic. I call Sala once a year to do a maintenance check on the old dinosaur. Some years, they'll tell me it's fine. Some years, they'll tweek it a bit by replacing a little part or two for a nominal fee, and it's always money well spend so that I can feel safe all winter long. About three years ago, the outside central air unit for my old house did bite the dust. They replaced it while I was away on vacation in Florida. It's been working like a charm, and an accountant friend who took care of the transaction for me was very satisfied with the price, so I've never had anything but good experiences with Sala.

Description of Work: The service person conducted a season check 1. Replaced broken wires that connected to my compressor, 2. Replace a party on the furnace 3. Added freon because it was low. I am happy to say my air conditioner is working great and after being serviced my first bill was lower than I had expected. 😅😃

Description of Work: They’ve installed new units as well as have done maintenance and repairs as needed. I’ve worked with them a couple of times.
