They promptly sent an arborist to give a quote. He recommended delaying the service for a couple months when the trimming would be less unsightly. At the agreed date, the crew showed up and performed the work in a professional manner. Everything looks great.

Late in the afternoon, we noticed that a tree next to our house had split at the trunk. Preservation was able to come out to assess the situation almost immediately. They got four workers out there shortly thereafter to take care of the problem. They were in and out before dark, and the approaching storm. Hauled away the cut tree, and cleaned up thoroughly all chips and shavings afterwards. Excellent job! We've used them before to trim back our trees, and they were great then too. Perhaps a little more expensive than some others, but well worth it. They truly lived up to the adage "You get back what you pay for." Highly recommended.

Can't say enough good things about these folks. I had a tree fall on my house in a sudden storm and left an emergency message with their answering machine as the tree seemed to be in a very precarious position. My arborist was at my door in an hour and agreed that the tree needed to be stabilized. The crew was there until 11:00 that night getting it safely roped up. They came back the next day with a HUGE crane and were able to get the 5000 pound tree safely off my house with no additional damage. Two thumbs up!

I spent $3000 on that job. Their prices are a little higher than their competition, but I like them because they know what they are doing.

It was a great experience compared to the "arborist" we used about 2.5 years ago for very similar work. We scheduled an appointment for a bid, and Billy was right on time, and walked the property with me asking questions about my concerns. Our Red Oak is a terrific tree and we lost a couple of large branches and had one break in the ice storm last February, so we wanted it prepared for winter (we do this every two years or so). We also needed to clear back growth from both neighbors yards, a large branch from one came down on our electrical service line from the alley in the same storm, and I didn't want a repeat this winter. He also recommended some pruning of our Magnolias by the pool to minimize leaf and pods dropping in to the water and removing encroaching Cherry Laurel growth form the neighbors that was tangling with the Hollies. The bid was very reasonable, and we scheduled the work for a couple of weeks out, as it is a busy time for them. The crew was prompt on work day, did a terrific job, and cleaned up - the only sign of the work was some sawdust and a few twigs, they even swept all the walkways and cleared leaves. It was a much higher quality execution for a better value than the last service we hired. I received a follow up e-mail asking about the service and the invoice was very detailed with regards to the work. I HIGHLY recommend Preservation.

It was an easy experience. An arborist came and gave me the cost of the job. In addition he named and gave me information about the other trees, on my property, I had questions about. He said that the crew would be able to leave the wood chips after the job but it was necessary for me to remind the crew of this when they came. I recieved calls from the main office to confirm that the job had been done to my satification.

Problem: We were faced with a 50 year old, 3-4 foot diameter pecan tree that had grown into and along the side of the foundation of our 80 year old house. It had started to cause major water and drainage issues for us. We got 4 estimates of removal. Due to the proximity to the house, an enclosing fence, the air conditioner, nearby piping, and the fact the tree was covering half of our house, all estimates came in around $3500 (+- 100). Preservation was well known and highly rated, so all things being equal, we went with them. Tree Removal: The aborist that came out was very down to earth and set my expectations that the cost would be higher than normal due to the special circumstances. The removal went without a hitch and they were exceedingly careful not to let the limbs strike the house. They were always on time, and in fact were even a little early but waited outside until the scheduled time to approach the house. It took two days to remove, and they cleaned up completely every day. The removal process exceeded my expectations. Stump Grind: The grind was scheduled for a Friday and rain was in the forecast. However, no call was received about rescheduling and they showed up on Saturday to complete it. If I were forced to complain, it would be the lack of that call since I wanted to check in on the process, again due to the proximity to the house. The process appeared to go just fine. Stump Grind Cont.: By Sunday night we had discovered that our automated front sprinkler wires had been cut at some point. I called Monday morning expecting a fight, but without batting an eye I was told that they had a company they liked to use or I could call my own and send the invoice to Preservation, no questions asked. I was stunned! I had no preference so they sent their own team out that second and were there within an hour! Turns out the wires had been cut as well as the sprinkler pipes themselves. They were already off to Home Depot for parts by the time I got home to look at it at lunch. It was all repaired and completed by the time I got home for dinner. They apologized for the inconvenience and made every effort to make it right without charging me an extra dime. Conclusion: In my mind, everyone makes mistakes but it's how you make amends that defines you. Preservation did a wonderful job in my opinion and I would use them again in a heartbeat.

I learned about this company through Texas Discovery Gardens in Dallas. Representative was very professional before services were completed. We have 2 live oak trees in our front yard that had split due to poor maintenance prior to us owning the home. They quoted 560 for cabling/bracing both trees and 500 to trim both. Admittedly, we did not ask any other company for an estimate at the time (I just wanted to get it over with and I trusted this company). They did a good job and we were satisfied until the snow storm the next week. I called them back the day of the storm and asked them to come back out b/c 6 or so limbs had fallen and we needed to consult with them about the tree and a rent house we had that had a tree limb fall. The secretary said that the representative would call back to schedule a time to come out. I never received a response. I'm not pleased with the lack of response. I called another tree trimming company and they came out the next day and I was much more pleased with their estimate on the other house. The rent house has a very large (75 year old) live oak tree that had broken limbs and needed general maintenance. They quoted 300 dollars (the tree was at least 3x larger than the oaks at the first house).

This tree service was reccomended by our gardener. They performed poorly and I would not reccommend them.

The gentleman who heads the company is a certified arborist. They do all of the trimming and every couple of years they thin out my Red Oaks. I like that they use an all natural fertilizer extract. I use their Seasons program which is a series of sprays and applications throughout the year. They are not cheap, but they do very, very good work.

Very good experience, except it took a lot of erffort to get them scheduled.

Arborist came to our home to gather information and generate a work proposal. He never responded with a work proposal despite several efforts on our part to followup. He seemed to know what he was doing and quickly diagnosed the problem - he just didn't care to actually make a proposal.

They were very prompt in their response and setting up an estimate scheduling, but another company could come quicker.

I was very impressed with this company. The arborist was easy to deal with and knowledgeable.

I arrived late and missed the appointment I had scheduled with Matthew (an arborist at Preservation Tree). I called the company and he immediately came back to my property. I asked questions about all the trees in the yard and Matthew agreed that only the Live Oak needed to be trimmed. An estimate was delivered through email and I set up an appointment for the next opening. They did an excellent job of trimming the Live Oak and clean-up. We had estimates from other companies at lower rates but since Preservation Tee employs arborists and in light of the good recommendations and reports, we went with them and are glad we did.

I called them several times and they never responded. Since they didn't seem to want my business, I went with Horton Tree Service who did a great job and who I would recommend without reservation.

Very professional. Work done on time. Meticulous clean-up. Very happy with the job they did.

They are organic and I think that is very important. They have a certain person assigned to my area needs some improvement in his responsiveness. Although their service is good. They do come when they say they come. The central office is also very nice.
