Description of Work: Security system installation, including personal care monitoring. They called to make an appointment and the technician arrived close enough to on time for me. The only problem was the sales office had not communicated any of our pricing, service or equipment agreements with the technician. I had inquired if they had used a cellular signal for their service communications, they said that was only one of the options. I told him even with a power booster that was not an option here, so the first option they tried was the cellular version. So, i didn't feel like they listened to me. Definitely positives, their equipment is excellent, wireless and when the batteries in any of the devices begin to get low, they come out and replace them at no charge. The panel box is much more user friendly than most I have seen on the market. There is no charge for the equipment as long as you sign a multi year service agreement with them. They have 3 and 5 year plans. I went with the 5 year to keep the very low cost pricing I got. In my package I have 1 motion detector, 1 main panel, 2 door panels and 2 individual pendants with intruder and the individual pendant monitoring. the monitoring station has a different phone number than the regular offices. To do any testing, you need to call the monitoring station number. The instructions say you are supposed to test the system every month, I have not gone quite that frequent yet, I am thinking 6 to 8 weeks will be more than sufficient, except after severe storms, or abnormal occurrences.

Description of Work: They installed a home security system. This is an on-going service. We have been using it for six months and we have no complaints or accolaudes. The installation process went well with no glitches and no surprises. The monthly service fees are better than their competitors and the equipment is very user-friendly.

Description of Work: Many, many failed attempts to get local installer out to the house, had to insist on going with another installer which was able to get us installed and setup. We already had Monitronics service at our old house and was a service transfer to our new house, plus new panel and sensor installs. Ryder Security was the installer that had terrible response and failed to come out twice. Pioneer Security was the other installer that did a great job. Monitronics failed to stay on top of our issue and initially refused to offer choices in installers even after we reported what was going on with Ryder. It seemed to be a big deal that we did not want the bulky 5816 transmitters, but instead the newer, more compact 5820L style. Huge waste of time for the whole process from beginning to end.

Description of Work: they install the equipment and about 6 hours later there is a malfunction and everything that they installed not to mention the alarm system kept going off for no reason and saying there was a malfunction everywhere they put their systems also they cut somewhere to run their system and our home has now a short wire somewhere and we don't know where we call them they said they're coming out two days later we still get nobody show up and we are still waiting on supplies we pre ordered and they're still not here very very upset and I'm very unsatisfied with this company not to mention I'm on contract and they're taking it directly out of my checking account for 3 years what a great start right thanks Angie

Description of Work: I have had this company for about 2 years now. They are very responsive to all alarms. We had some trouble with a bad sensor while we were out of town and they annotated the account to make sure we wouldn't get fined for multiple false alarms. Very happy with their performance.

Description of Work: They were great with monitoring. My problem with them was servicing my area. The service providers were not available in my city so they had to have three customers in this area needing something done before they would come to me. No idea of a time frame on this happening. U was with them for 12+ years and they couldn't even upgrade my system without three other people needing something in my area. I fired them and went to someone else.
