Description of Work: DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! They are part of a scam! They work with Vision Security, who provides the equipment. Monitronics monitors the security system. They don't always call emergency services if the equipment is triggered. The app only works half the time. The fire alarm was faulty so the fire department was at our house 3 times in a week. Our dog sets off the motion detector so the solution was to disable it! Not really providing the "peace of mind" I pay $65/month for. And if you have a problem they are forever transferring you to the other company, (Monitronics or Vision Security). Again, be warned! Stay away!

Description of Work: We had an alarm system installed. The installer was prompt, very friendly and did a good job. We were not happy about the fact that they ran a hard inquiry on our credit without our knowledge after install. An office manager called back promptly and apologized and explained why it was necessary. Very professionally handled.

Description of Work: The installation by 3rd party provider (Secure-Tech) provided was terrible. They left exposed wires and damaged woodwork at every door entry where there was a switch installed. They promised to reimburse me for the damage and never did.

Description of Work: Security Home Monitoring Service went fine for the first few years. Then our account got hijacked by Safe Home Security (we were victims of a fraud). Monirtonics was alerted and I had to continually follow up to get it sorted out. Next to zero help in this department. I tried to cancel my service formally but no call back or replies, so I had to request that AMEX not allow any further charges... Still trying to get $ back for services NOT provided during months of charges.

Description of Work: This company bought out my contract with a different firm, without my knowledge, nor permission. I immediately told them I did not want their services. They ignored that, and were rude to me on the phone. I had removed the alarm pendent. I was phoned one night in Feb. 2013 and I heard on my speaker-phone a hostile woman who spoke clearly that they had received a signal from my pendent and that if I wanted to discuss that I could call them at their office. By then I had gotten to the phone and spoke loudly, saying that there was no alarm, and no problem and I said my password to identify myself. I could hear her breathing on the phone. She hung up. 10 to 13 minutes later I hear an ambulance, sirens blaring and lights flashing pull up to my house. I walked outside and waved hello to all my neighbors. After repeating my sincere and abject apology's to the folks who had leaped from the ambulance that I was OK left telling me that the important thing was that I was ok. I wasn't OK: because of Monitronics Lansing's Emergency Responders were out-of-service needlessly. I complained about this to this company who ignored my complaint's. I wish the first company I had bought the service from was still in business. Right now I have my attorney handling this. I am telling everyone I know to stay far, far away from this company. Rude, and UN-trustworthy are the 2 most kind words I can use to describe them.

Description of Work: I have used them since 2003. Their service is very good. I was not pleased for a while because I could not shut off the beeping noise when the power went out. They also raised their prices. They came to my surprise and installed a wireless system so I will no longer have the annoying beeping. They also brought down the price. I have been very happy with their service.

Description of Work: Used them for 4 years. Terrible customer service apart from when we wished to cancel our monitoring service, then they suddenly dropped the monthly price from $40 to $15 a month. Makes you wonder how much we were being ripped off in the first place.
