Metro Guard Termite & Pest Control

They were professional and did everything that they said they were going to do. They finished the job in a timely manner. It was raining that day, so they had to come on another day to do the exterior of the house and they came back when they said they would. They did the work very quickly and effectively.

They came out to do the termite inspection and we discussed other options. I was particularly impressed that I did not have to be home for the exterior work. Also, when I had a shed built, they came by and treated it as part of the house treatment. I never even saw someone when I contracted for the one-year fire ant treatment, but it is the best thing I ever did for my lawn and little nephews who play on it!

Their prices are reasonable and they are easy to deal with. They are easygoing and it only takes a half an hour for one guy.

I signed an annual contract because I like there service and prices.

Found termites in exterior post adjacent to gargage about 3 weeks ago; called Metro Guard and 3 other companies for estimates on treatment. Nick from Metro Guard came out first and provided a detailed estimate and several options for treatment. Of the estimates I received, Metro Guard was the most comprehensive service and best value over the life of the warranty contract (10 years). When I scheduled them they called with a reminder the day prior to service and showed up on time. The treatment involved moating around the house and treatment of the plumbing intrusions to the house. It took about 6.5 hours total. I'm satisfied with the service and would use them again.

They were very professional, friendly and helpful. They were able to send someone to take care of termite on the same day that I called. They did a good job and I was satisfied with the result.

We have an annual renewal fee. They are thorough and spray where they need to. They ask if we are having any problem area so that they can be fixed. They are kind and good workers. I have been using them for about a year. When we first called them it took less than a week for them to respond.

They are not cheap but certainly do a good job. They come four times a year to spray the inside of my house, and the outside perimeter of my home. The service varies a bit, but they always meet my expectations. The technicians are always careful about not walking on the carpet if it is wet outside or their shoes are dirty. I will be continuing to use them in the future.

They were punctual and easy to work with. I would recommend them to others.

I called MetroGuard to sign up for preventative treatments. Kenneth came out to inspect the house and found active infestation that we were not aware of. He was extremely thorough, examining the entire exterior foundation, the interior of all rooms and plumbing points. He said he could kill the active termites with treatment immediately and they would be dead within 48 hours. He explained how termidor worked and how long they had been using it as a company (7 yrs appx, I think). He said the active agent in it was no different from what veterinarians (in a different dosage) put on for fleas/ticks (Advantage). He advised us to watch the corner of the wall were there was evidence of small termite holes in case of swarmers. He said we can spray hair spray over the holes to force the termite swarmers into the attic so they die up in the insulation. A week after the first appointment he returned to treat the entire house for termite prevention. It took him about four to five hours. He covered the patio holes with concrete and cleaned up the areas. With the $50 Angie's List coupon we spent $835 for them to treat the active infestation and the preventative treatment (18-mo guarantee with $89 annual service calls for ten years). I did not have any other bids because they came so highly rated by Angie's List. Doing some internet research though, this price did not seem to be ridiculous. Overall, I was extremely satisfied with the service and professionalism of Kenneth and MetroGuard. At no point during the experience did I feel like they were trying to sell me anything unnecessary. Kenneth answered all of my questions. They allowed me to pay appx. 60% during the first appointment and then the remainder after the preventative treatment.

They have come in twice and I have been very satisfied with them. They were prompt, professional, they did a good job and I have had no problems with pests since they came. They will come out and redo it if needed for free as that is a part of the deal.

Very good. They did not try to sell me anything I didn't need. When I asked them difference in what they did versus what I could do myself, he told me exactly, including where I could go get the stuff and how to do it. In the end, I elected to have them do it. He did not try to upsell me on one single thing.

They are very flexible and try to work with your schedule. The chemical they use in non-toxic and it doesn't bother the pets. The last few times, I have had the same guy come out. He knows my house and knows what bug problems I have. They are really good about checking your attic for rodents. We don't have any, but you never know in the winter. They sometimes will put crystals in the yard to help with fleas and we have never had a problem. They are thorough and pleasant.

They demonstrated their professionalism even more to me in November when I lost my job of 23 years. I contacted them to see if I could cancel the service contract. They not only canceled my contract but made an adjustment since I had only had the initial treatment and refunded back to me $69.65 of the approx $360 I had paid them. They did not have to do that but I found Darren Lowe to be very understanding and prompt in his response. This is definitely the kind of company I want to continue to do business with and highly recommend them for their service and for the people behind the service.

They worked out really well and I even signed up for yearly maintenance.

Promptly came out and did inspection. Clearly explained the option of spot treatment versus entire home. Felt no pressure to go with either treatment. My wife & I decided it best to treat the entire house. They were willing to schedule a Saturday so I did not need to miss work. Jeff Luby, the tech made sure that his drilling in our laundry room would not scare our tabby cat (hiding behind the dryer). Overall the job went smoothly and we are very pleased to be rid of our termites!

Has gone great. The company even reminds me it is time for them to come back out, even if I have already paid for the full year.

I have used Metro Guard for over two years now and I have been so impressed with the quality of their service. We lived in Grapevine and had Mark, one of the area technicians, service our home on a quarterly basis. He did a fantastic job. He was very pleasant and respectful of our home and our young family. We recently moved to Lewisville and had Robert, another area technician, treat our home and yard. He, too, did an outstanding job. I have had the opportunity to email Darren Lowe, the General Manager. He communicated promptly and with such uncommon attention to customer service. I have been exceedingly pleased with Metro Guard Termite and Pest Control and I highly recommend them.

I liked them very much. they where neat, prompt, professional and courteous. They came out either that day or the next to do assess the problem and then had to come out two to three times to do the treatment. The job was done very professionally. I even asked him about the prices and he responded by telling me that some are higher and some are lower.

Everything went very well. My wife and I had noticed several ants in the house a few days earlier but awoke to find a large number of fire ants in our living room. I called Metro Guard and they sent someone out first thing that morning. They found many ant mounds along the outside of the house, which they treated. They also treated the inside of the house. We haven't seen any ants since. They warranty their work for 90 days inside and, I believe, 180 days outside. The service was great.

Ants enjoyed my kitchen and bathroom facilities; they were uninvited and unwanted guests. Once the company guy came, I saw a difference almost immediately. After a month, I've only seen about 15 ants total. Amazing results and a very pleased customer

Excellent service. Were concerned about my pets. They were very knowledgeable.

They are always very prompt and respectful in my home. They even put on shoe covers so as not to ruin the carpet. I have always been very comfortable using them and they are very accommodating.
