Metro Guard Termite & Pest Control

In the several years that I've worked with MetroGuard I've only had one issue with bugs between spraying. I called them immediately to come out, and they serviced the problem right away - for no extra charge.

Technician had so much helpful information. We requested a general pest treatment after moving into a new house and seeing lots of little spiders. About 1.5 weeks later, no more bugs, the only ones I find inside are already dead. He was able to tell us what some mysterious insects in our pergola were (carpenter bees, who knew these existed?!) and how to get rid of them. He also checked out our attic space and found some rodent droppings and offered rodent treatment. Also gave us information on what he found from the previous owners pest treatments around the house and why it was dangerous and he refilled these traps with their safer products. Very friendly, very informative for new home owners!

The gentleman was on time and very professional. He was very helpful and advised me on what services I needed to keep in mind for the future. I was very impressed and will use this company again!

Service went well. Provider was informative and thorough. Have not seen any insects or spiders alive within the house since treatment. May look into more thorough yard treatment next time but that is not due to their service quality.

Metro Guard Termite and Pest Control was great. They caught the raccoons in our house and they called back later for springs special to spray down the house for 50 bucks. It was just the right time and about the right price. It was one of the few things when I realized there were a lot of bugs around that I’ve been noticing and I can afford that. It was about the only time somebody has called me for one of those things that were actually helpful. I thought it was great they had an awareness of seasonal stuffs on bugs and more likely. They throw a special and call customers. That’s pretty cool. Also, everybody from them was nice.

. I am starting my second year with them because I have not seen any type of bug since they started the service. Very Professional. Always ask if I have seen anything or if there is any area I am concerned about and if so, they will pay special attention to that area. I like that they are a local company - I pass the offices when I am out.

They arrived on time and did a through evaluation however the terms of service dramatically changed. When called on two separate occasions they described the terms of the service as 14 days with a member of their crew coming every other day to check the traps. This suddenly got changed to seven days total with a crew member coming every other day but for the same price of $350! I decided to pass and look elsewhere.

They do such a great job, I signed up to have them come out every three months and treat inside and outside for pests. Money well spent.

Henry Martinez, the tech, was informative, polite, and a pleasure to have work in the house. He did what he was asked to do quickly and thoroughly. I will ask for him when I call Metro Guard again. After using another pest control company for five years without any success, this is the company I will recommend to all of my friends.

This was a routine spraying but we were so happy with them that we start on their 4 time per year plan this month.

If I ever have any questions, they answer them. They come back every year after an intitial termite treatment. I pay one time a year for inspection services and if I have a termite issue, it will be treated at no cost under the warranty. They are very good.

Carlos was very punctual and walked the property with me. This home will be renovated for rental property so I needed immediate action to rid the house of rats and carpenter ants before we start foundation repair. He provided me a price for a year contract when I really just wanted to take care of the immediate problem. He told me that they will provide one rodent bait trap and I could pay them extra for additional traps or get them myself. I asked if they come out to remove dead rodents (not something I'm willing to do) and he said there would be a $75 trip fee for them to do that. I was told that if we don't have water running in the house then the rats, for the most part, will go outside the home to look for water. They don't seal any entry points for rodents to enter home.

Excellent. I have used the company for 6 years. I always ask for Robert Fernandez. Robert is polite, professional and gets the job done quickly. I have three dogs and they love him.

When I had to leave town to deal with a situation with my elderly father, my wife called in a panic and stated that she had a massive swarm of ants in our bed. We had only moved into the home several months earlier. I came to Angie's list from Georgia at my folks' house and found Metro Guard. I called and explained the situation and they came out promptly. What they found was ants outside the front of the house near a dead bush stump, and the previous home center ant treatment I had used to try and kill the ants had moved them a few feet. Then they found their way through a moisture gap in the brick and had nested inside the walls of our bedroom, and also in the back of the house beneath a rear window. Metro Guard treated the entire house top to bottom, and the entire yard and foundation. We agreed to quarterly service this first year to make sure things stay clear. Not an ant in sight anywhere in these months, and when they return shortly they'll treat again, and I am certain keep the property as ant-free as it currently is. I don't really know if their price is high or low. I really didn't care. What mattered was that they were prompt, put my wife completely at ease, showed her the problem, treated everything, and explained their quarterly return schedule and how we would expect them to call to schedule each quarter. Professionalism and results are just as important as price, if not more so.

The service person was on time and treated the affected areas. We had to call a second time for another treatment and it was covered at no additional cost.

I called Metroguard at 3:00pm,and Matthew was sent at 6:00pm.That's fast service!The inspection was free.He professionally examined the entire house,including the attic,and told me my problem was tree rats in the attic.Needless to say I was rather dismayed by the news.He gave me my options,and I chose the one that fit my budget.He promptly did the job and then spent extra time showing me the places where they could possibly be getting into the house.We have a creek bed behind our home so that is one of our problems.He carefully explained what he was going to do and told me what to expect and how long it would take for the traps to ,hopefully,do their job.He also found a place in the the house that had some carpenter ants making their home.We discussed that problem and will have that problem taken care of in the near future.The charge for this visit was very reasonable and just about what I expected. There is no doubt that I will contact Metroguard again.Matthew was very efficient,polite,and did a very good job.

He arrived on time,a little early I think,and I told him my problem.He walked with me in and out side,and told me what he thought I needed.Just a simple spray for spiders,bugs and ants.He said if this didn't work he would come back, as it was good for three months.So far it looks like he was right.

I was fearing the worst when I saw piles of "stuff" on my windowsill. The treatment was minimally invasive and effective. While Lonnie was here, he also treated the outside of my house for the ants to discourage further invasion. While he did that, he did a quick check for any obvious signs of termites.

Metro Guard was very responsive from the very first phone call. They were very flexible in working with our schedule and even called the day before to confirm our appointment! Our technician was very professional and walked us through our house and was very thorough in the inspection and explaining the particular issues we were having and how he was going to proceed with treatment. On the day we scheduled service to be performed he arrived at exactly the specified time and went straight to work. He kept us informed as the work progressed as to what he was doing and why he was doing it. When he left, you couldn't even tell he had been there or any work had been done! We feel very confident in the work that was performed and we will be recommending Metro Guard to our friends and family.

Nick was very patient and answered my questions. After he inspected the house, he reported that he did not find any signs of termites or other pests requiring treatment. There is no charge for the inspection, and I was not billed for his time. I will definitely use Metro Guard in the future.
