James was fantastic! He sprayed the inside (including the attic) and outside and we haven't had any bug problems so far! We will definitely use them again.

They sprayed our house and outside. The chemicals or bug spray doesn't harm young children . We had carpenter ants that somehow made home I. My room last year we paid about $ 300 for treatment in all 4 seasons . It was nice they schedule next day , every service person who has come was nice and on time.

.They treat the yard outside and they'll spray inside too if I need to. I was having an at problem before I called them and I haven't ad any problems yet. The effectiveness of the service is why I continue to use them. They're professional and on time and also very efficient in their work. They know the problems and discuss them to me so I know what is going on.

We have a rodent problem in this part of Dallas...company installs and services boxes every quarter. Since hiring them have had no problems with the rodents.

I called Metro Guard and was transferred by the person who answered the phone to another person who could help me with my suspected problem of powder post beetles. After being very explicit that I thought powder post beetles were the problem and that I thought I had found them in my crawlspace, the person organized a free inspection. I explicitly asked whether this was a termite or a general pest inspection (given I thought my problem was powder post beetles) and I was told it was a general pest inspection. When the technician arrived, he told me that he thought he was here for a termite inspection and that he did not know much about powder post beetles. Moreover, when it got to the point where he realized that he would have to go into the crawlspace, he informed me that termite inspections were free but going into the crawlspace came with a $300 charge. At this point, my opinion of the company was quite low. After going into the crawlspace and extracting a sample piece of wood, the technician returned and informed me he would have to take the piece of wood to his boss to figure out what was eating the wood. He also said he would not worry about charging the 300$ for entering the crawlspace (he was only down there about 10 minutes and, as far as crawl spaces go, it's not a difficult one to move around in). This greatly improved my perception of the company. Today, I was contacted and told that it was powder post beetles eating the wood but that Metro Guard doesn't treat for powder post beetles because the typical treatment is fumigation and that requires a license that Metro Guard does not have. Ultimately, I was not unhappy with the quality of the service performed by the technician. In fact, I think he did the best he could in the circumstances and was very happy with the way he handled the situation. However, the D grade reflects the fact that the management of the situation was quite bad. First, the technician thought he was there for a termite inspection but he was likely there for something quite different. Second, the reason he was likely there required a $300 charge when I was initially told it was a free inspection. Third, although I was happy with the timely communication that they were in fact powder post beetles, I was then informed the company doesn't treat powder post beetles even though I was explicit right from the first second I called that I thought this was the problem. Update: I have now had an expert in powder post beetles come by (Ron Marburger, who to my knowledge is the only licensed person in the DFW who can treat (i.e. fumigate) powderpost beetles) and his expert opinion was that this is not a powder post beetle problem but rather white pocket rot which is entirely harmless.

The service as excellent. The technician who came out was very knowledgeable and nice. I will definitely use the service again.
