Metro Guard Termite & Pest Control

The appointment was originally scheduled on June 17, 2015, did not show or call. I called them and it was rescheduled. I do not remember the exact date now. They called after scheduling this appointment to reschedule it. Eventually they showed up and sprayed.

They showed up on time. The different options were explained to me regarding prices and packages, depending on my needs. I did not feel any pressure whatsoever to buy more service than I needed. I purchased the annual service for $450. I have ants entering the home from the brick outside. The first time they sprayed, the ants were still present or came back after one month, so they had to return to spray again. I guess we will see how this time around works. Luckily, they have a guarantee with their service so their return trips are free of charge. I am happy with the price and service so far. We will see if the ants stay away.

Metro was able to come out to our house really quickly after we found a dead mouse in our backyard, and they were able to work around my husband's and my work schedules. We had just moved in and were still doing a bit of work on the house, so our furniture was a bit haphazard and hard to work around. The service technician didn't miss a beat and was polite and professional and didn't complain a bit about the less than ideal condition of the house. We ended up setting up a quarterly service for pest treatment, but when we talked to Metro about setting up a termite treatment, they were very honest with us in explaining that we didn't need the treatment at this time.

Metro Guard services our home for insect and rodent control. They have been our pest control provider for several years. We select the annual plan with quarterly service visits. The main office always calls about a week or so out to schedule an appointment that supports our schedule. Robert is our regular technician and is always on-time or early. During our discussion he always asks if we have had any bug problems to ensure the problem is properly addressed. He is very carful to wear shoe covers when inside our home and does a thorough hand spray application to the entire home hitting all baseboards and inspecting under sinks. Outside the perimeter of our home is power sprayed out to at least 10 feet. Windows and doors get a hand spray. We rarely see a living bug on the patio or entryways and if we do they are knocking on deaths door. We are very happy with the pest control services we receive from Metro Guard and plan to use them for all our pest control needs.

Prompt service. Gave options and explanined what is being done and provided suggestions.

The service went well. I was looking for something more in depth though to prevent rats from getting into the walls and attic and bait and recommendations were given. My fault for not asking more upfront but at least their 90 day rodent guarantee will continue to provide bait as needed. My Tech, Robert, found a dead rat on the outside of the house that was halfway into a hole in the wall and pulled it out.

The company responded within 24 hours and scheduled an appointment. The service rendered was only okay because the contractor claimed he couldn't get inside the attic to spray. Previously, contractors were able to access the attic as well as a home inspector who checked it two days prior. However, you get what you pay for. I can't complain too much I guess...95% of the house sprayed for $55.00

Right on schedule, came in and did what he came to do. Had a discussion at the end of what was done and went on his way.

I had gotten a pretty high quote from a competitor & asked for a 2nd opinion. The tech came out the same day to give us an estimate. My husband & I talked it over & decided to go with Metro Guard. The tech was prompt & courteous. He thoroughly explained everything he was going to do & reviewed what he had done before he left. He made sure we had absolutely no questions or concerns. Very pleased with their service. Would recommend to anyone.

Great, I have been using them for a year and continue to be amazed by the quality of people they send to my home. Very knowledgable, always wear booties so my floors stay clean, and very personable.

They performed the service requested. They mostly just sprayed for pests around the house and set 2 poison bait traps for rats, one in the attic and one under the back patio. I was not on site so I didn't personally speak with the tech, all of my knowledge on what they did while they were there is secondhand. I wasn't happy that they had placed a poison trap in the attic. The attic is very inaccessible, so I'm not surprised that he didn't go into the attic to check around, for the price that we paid I didn't really expect that, but our tenant said he just stuck his head in the attic and put a poison trap up there. I don't want rats to die in random places in the attic, so I removed it and replaced it with an electronic trap from Home Depot. The main thing I requested them to do was identify entry points for the rats getting into the attic. He found a few just by walking around the house and looking up at the roof. He misidentified one entry point, and missed one or 2 others that would have been visible if he had gotten onto the roof, or into the attic. The price would have been good if we had needed the bug spraying, which we didn't. My communications with the company were all good and professional, they called the day before to remind me they would be at the property. I've rated the review as "fair" because that's how I feel about the price paid and the services rendered. It wasn't good, it definitely wasn't excellent, but it wasn't unfair or bad.

The service for the big deal from Metro Guard Termite & Pest Control was okay. I wasn't there, my husband was there. It went fine. To a friend I would say 'Metro Guard Termite & Pest Control is okay'.

It was very nice doing business with this company. I called on a Monday about noon and they were at my house the same day by 5:00pm. The man who came, explained everything in great detail so that I understood exactly what he was doing and what to expect.

Robert actually showed up half an hour early as he knew I had to leave at a certain time for an appointment. He did a thorough inspection (and unfortunately discovered a corner of the house has termites), treated the outside of the house (didn't do inside at my request), and spread poison in the attic as we had noticed signs of rodents with the approach of cooler weather. He also highly suggested trimming back trees to discourage rodents from getting into the attic, which we've heard has been a huge problem for others in our area lately. Definitely will have this professional company return.

They came out for a Big Deal I had pre-purchased. I told them about my ant problem. They said "Oh, no this is a general treatment and it does not cover ants." After they left the ants remained. They didn't even off to cover the ants at an additional cost. I had to find a different company to take care of the ants.

Billy showed up early and did an outstanding job. He was very friendly and courteous and checked out the house very well.

I have used them for 3 years. They are very timely. They call ahead to make sure I am on time with their quarterly treatments. They come right back out if I see bugs after a treatment. They are very professional.

Professional representation. He was on time and ready to go. Took about 20 minutes. I would use this company again.
