The pilot light on one of our furnaces wouldn't stay lit. I called Levy & Son (we have an annual maintenance agreement with them for our 2 heating/AC units). They were able to schedule someone to come out that afternoon. The technician, Jag, arrived early within the time range, was very polite & got right to work. After ruling out a faulty thermocouple, he determined it was a bad gas valve, for which he needed to order a replacement that would be available the next day. I wasn't available, so we scheduled a "first call" appointment for later in the week. Again, Jag arrived promptly, replaced the valve & tested the system.

They did a great job. They were on time. The work ended up taking a little longer, but they were still able to come back out and finish the job quickly. I was pleased with their service. I would definitely recommend them. They did great.

I had been a loyal Levy customer for six years, but no more. I had the fan motor on an A/C unit go out at 6:00 on Friday. We have a year-round service plan with Levy and their technician had recently been out to service our system, so I called to see if they could send someone out for make the repair. I was told that they would send out a technician. Three hours latter and nothing--no technician, not even a phone call. Time to find another HVAC and plumbing provider.

I called them after their working hours and they still came out as it was an emergency. They checked the entire system and found a part needed to be replaced, but they were very expensive. They ordered the part and when received the same, they came quickly and replaced it. The a/c was working fine for a month and later had the same issue. They sent a technician, who didn’t find anything. Later, another person came, diagnosed the problem and replaced the part again, but this time, free of cost. They were very responsive and came quickly, which was very good. It was very hot when the a/c went off, but still they handled the situation so well. The last time they came and repaired, they followed up the next day to check if everything was fine. The best thing about them is that, they take ownership of any mistake and fix it. I like their services and will use the same in future.

Our A/C went out around 8PM. The A/C is still on warranty. We called Levy and they had someone out within an hour. There was a $99 after-hours fee, and that is all I paid for this repair. The tech wasn't able to diagnose the problem that night. I have a sophisticated computerized system, so that's ok. He came by first thing the next morning with a supervisor. They were able to diagnose a failed circuit board with the manufacturer's help. They ordered the part by FedEx immediately. Unfortunately that was on a Friday, so the part didn't arrive until Monday. As soon as the tech received the part he came right back and installed it. This was all covered by warranty. I believe they went above and beyond to get me back up and running as quickly as possible. It wasn't their fault that it took the weekend to get the part FedExed. I was very pleased with how they made my issue a priority.

Called on Saturday Morning During a Heat Wave and was pleased that they were able to come out on same day. They arrived as scheduled and replaced the capicator on the Trane XR11 Condenser out back

They have done great. I don’t remember how much we spent. They were prompt and very nice. They were friendly. They knew what they were talking about. We will use their services again in the future.

The regularly scheduled service went as usual, however, the problem diagnostic service was very un professional.

Levy did good quality work and we were happy with the results. This was a large job and required plumbing and additional attic access and lighting to be established. The only thing I would have as a complaint is that the work outside of the pure AC/Heating work was pushed to us to manage from a scheduling perspective and was not included in the overall estimate or financing that we put together. This caused scheduling delays and some unplanned expenses. We recommend Levy as an HVAC contractor and liked their work.

went great. the guys knew what they were doing and worked like crazy to solve the problem in a super hot attic. have use Levy many times in the past. not the cheapest in town but always honest, hard working and competent guys. have used many others over the years and have found Levy to be the most reliable. for starters they get there when you need them. some of the other large outfits, it's yeah we can get to you manana. If you call Levy early they usually can get there the same day which there is a lot to be said for if it's a minor emergency which always seems to be the case!

Initially requested AC to be checked back in May because it ran intermittently although thermostat showed that it should have been on. Technician spent less than 30 minutes, claimed nothing was wrong and was charged for trip visit. Also mentioned the same issue during annual service checkup and technician acknowledged problem but said that I would have to schedule for a more qualified technician to perform complete diagnostics. Note that in both of these visits technicians arrived as scheduled within a 4-hour window. Rescheduled the following day for 2-5 pm. Technician arrived after 6pm which was too late for us. He said he would notify the office for rescheduling. We never received a call back. We rescheduled with another firm, who spent 45 minutes to isolate a faulty thermostat. Note, all of the people that I dealt with at Levy were polite and pleasant.

I thought the AC unit itself was leaking and called Levy and Sons since I knew they would show up in a timely manner and were reliable. All that the serviceman did was pour bleach down the PVC pipe that was below my AC unit (that drains condensation out of the house). Somehow I got charged 160.00 for this. Then they left the info on being a part of their yearly "service" agreement where they charge you to come and inspect your unit several times per year. Then he took a look at our water heater and a faucet and left a bid for fixing those. He said he would get back to us with the info on fixing the faucet, but never did. I really feel like the price was steep for the amount of work done and echo other people's remarks that this company is reliable but pricey.

I have always been pleased with them. They come when they say they will and their people seemed to be well trained and polite.

The technician who handled it did a very thorough job and and gave us some tips about how to prevent the problem in the future. The fact is we are going to have to do a twice yearly clean out of the sewer system for prevention. The company will contact us every six months to set an appt.

Very good repair. Expensive. Could have replaced the whole faucet for the same price including install. Just a broken lever that drains it. I would use again for emergency work, not elective work such as this.

First guy showed up and wasn't familiar w/ Bosch. messed around with it for over an hour before calling in a more senior guy. Was charged for multiple hours and plumbers because they claimed Bosch was an unusual brand so their fee was way over the estimate they gave by phone when I made the appointment. Bosch is sold in HD, Lowes, Sears, etc. Their plumbers are inadequately trained.

Everything went very well. They're very on time. They honor their appointment times.

The newcomer, whom I'll call Jim, made his own careful inspection and then said it was defintely time to change the Condenser. I don't question that he was right about that. It was already there when I moved into the house 14 years earlier. Jim, apparently doing the job he specializes in for Levy, then filled out a Levy proposal form in pencil calling for a new 14 seer Lennox condenser, a Coil connecting to the existing furnace in the attic space, and two Return Air installations at different ceiling locations. He listed the cost as $8374, but then wrote below that ($600) in parentheses next to the words Levy coupon. Thus the net cost to me would be $7774. Jim urged me to sign, which I eventually did. That was my mistake, as I soon realized. It was then that I decided to become a member of Angie's List. Looking there, I picked out 3 other companies, and in the following days I got proposals from each of them. All were lower than Levy's. I phoned Levy & Son to tell them I had changed my mind about accepting their proposal. The person I spoke with on the phone (who was neither of the above-mentioned Levy people) said O.K., but I would have to pay for the Contractor's Authorization which Levy had already requested from the City of Dallas. Soon I received a Levy invoice listing that Authorization and a cost of $100 for me to pay. The city's authorization form was not attached, so I called again and asked Levy to send it. The same person then told me that th cost of the Authorization was actually about $75, but that Levy was a profit-making company and had naturally marked up the price to the customer. After I got the form I sent them the $100 they wanted. To complete the story, I accepted the proposal from a company that did the job for $5100, which included a 16 seer Condenser (but only one Air Return). I have no intention of usung Levy again. Previously I had been a long-time loyal (but ignorant) customer of theirs, even buying a furnace and a hot-water heater from them. I think they are generally competent in their work, but the are too expensive and too intent on eaking out even $25 from someone who had done many thousands of dollars of business with them over the years..

He did a good job. It was completed in one day. They informed me what they were going to do and did that. They were professional.

They came out the same day, fixed, I appreciated it.

The plumbers were excellent and amiable. They did satisfactory work and I am pleased with them.

They come out twice a year for the maintenance agreement. They have done good work for me. They are fair and have worked with me if I have any problems. I've been using them for years.

We have always been very pleased with their service. They have a service where we subscribe for $120, and they come and check our air conditioning and heating twice a year. Their regular visits are free unless there is something extraordinary that they need to do. Because we are part of their service plan, we kind of get a priority service if we have some kind of plumbing emergency or a heating and air conditioning emergency. They got to us right away and fixed our problems when the compressor failed in the summertime and when our drain overflowed. They are always very courteous, and the people that they send out seem to be very capable, knowledgeable, and good at fixing anything that needs fixing.
